A/N) Thanks all for your reviews, even though you were all guests. You were also nice to review anyway! Hope you guys like this chapter, I don't think its too action-ey but that's ok, it helps tie to the next chapters. Everything must be sewn with precision and flow... hum, that sounded smart ;-) And adds some character to my mystery girl. By the way, quick question, what do you all think of her? I know it might be too early to tell but I'd really like to know how I make OC's should I stop and never try again or do you guys like this one somewhat? Hate her, love her, wish I didn't create her... hey that rhymed!

Anyway...

Have fun!

It was dark, and he ached all over. The darkness he could handle, dealt with it all his life but the excruciating pain his master had put him through. That was new. He knew he should have left before his master found out he had failed.

The rusty door flew open and he instantly stood up, masking the aches and burning pain in his back.

"Master please give me another chance I can go and find them I'll bring them all back dead!" He begged pathetically.

Dyron sneered at him and kicked him in the face, "Pathetic whelp. I didn't come here to listen to your begging. I came because I am prepared to offer you another slim chance."

Croc raised his bleeding face and waited.

The dark king continued, "You, my miserable slave, are going up there, and your going to find out about those 'hero's' and what they can do. Then you're going to find out where they have taken my useless shadow slave. If they try to get answers from her, her disgusting cowardice will tell them everything she knows. I should have killed her on the spot." He growled the last part more to himself then anything.

"With all due respect master. I think I'm a little... to noticeable for the ninjas to not know I am there." Croc stood up, feebly.

Dyron's eyes flashed, "I know that you imbecil, you are going to take a disguise. Come fool. I'll work some of my dark magic on you and we will see just how different you will look." It sounded like a threat the way Dyron said it but Croc knew better then to disobey his nasty master. So he followed, refusing to think about anything at all.

"You can not be serious." Cole protested as Jay dragged him down the hall and into the living room. Which was very hard for the blue clad Ninja since Cole was like twice his size.

"I am, dead serious. Just look, she's not normal." Jay insisted as he pulled his friend harder by the arm, "Look, what kind of girl is that pale? And her eyes, I don't know what color they are but they are not normal. She is a vampire of the dark and I can prove it." Jay stomped his foot in a decisive manner. He was so sure he was right.

Cole rolled his eyes. Jay had been driving him nuts all week with this 'she's from another planet' 'she's from another world' 'she's a monster' 'she's suspicious' 'she's a vampire' was his latest claim about the girl.

So why don't you just relieve everyone's minds and tell them what she really is. His mind teased him sarcastically. Cole shook his head, maybe he really was slowly going insane.

"Look there. She's just sitting there, staring into space like she's hungry for something. And that something is our blood." Jay whispered, scaring himself.

Cole hit his forehead on the back of the sofa they were stupidly crouching behind, with an audible groan.

"Shhhhh! She's looking this way now. Way to go rock head." Jay snapped, upset that his cover was blown.

"Jay, stop being dumb. You know there is no such thing as vampires."

Jay stared at him a really long, steady, time. His blue eyes darkening, "Cole, do you know who we are? There isn't supposed to be such thing as snake armies, and stone armies, and skeleton armies, and super elemental powers but..." His face said the rest.

Cole groaned again, "Ok motor mouth, so why a vampire." He relented, deciding to humor his crazy friend for a while.

"Because, look, she's practically perfect."

Cole raised his dark eyebrows at this, "What?"

"I'm serious, not humanly perfect, because no human can be perfect except to those that love them, but she... she's like flawless. Look, pale skin, without a spot, eyes shaped and colored to make them seem entrapping. Shiny, black hair, perfect vampire trait right there. She's not to short, not to tall, a perfect figure, don't you see it yet!?" Jay was growing impatient at his friends apparent stupidity on the matter.

Cole was becoming painfully aware that they were having the dumbest conversation behind a couch inside the very room in which the subject of the conversation was actually sitting in. A shadow appeared behind Jay. But the excited blue ninja just went on giving details and points as to why that girl was a vampire, not even noticing someone behind him. Cole bit his lip as he tried to signal Jay with his eyes to 'shut the heck up' but sadly that didn't happen until the person whacked the motor mouth hard, making him scream, half in fright and half in pain.

"Jay! What are you even saying." Nya's eyes blazed as she stared down her 'would be boyfriend'.

Cole had a feeling she was misinterpreting Jay's words as compliments for the girl instead of scrutinizings. He pushed down laughter as Jay looked up at the furious pink clad girl in confusion.

"Nya? What's wrong?" He asked thoroughly confused now.

This made her angrier, "Don't 'what's wrong me'. How could you. I thought I was special enough for you. Sitting her like some sort of middle schooler talking about another girl like that. I'm not the jealous type and you know it but I thought maybe you... that hurts you know." She was near tears now because she had thought that Jay loved her enough for marriage, but this little misunderstanding was ruining her trust for him. And breaking her heart.

Cole didn't find it funny anymore.

She stormed out banging the door behind her before either of them could explain anything. Jay jumped up and ran after her calling her name.

Cole stood up slowly, clearing his throat, suddenly, he felt extremely uncomfortable. He turned slowly to find their 'guest' staring at him.

That's all she did really was stare, or glare at them.

But at Cole, she just stared, simply straight. Silently... Frighteningly.

She had been here for a week and the ninja mostly ignored her. Well he, Kai and Lloyd didn't really talk to her at all. Jay was to busy trying to figure her out with his idiotic notions, Zane was polite to her always and Nya just talked to her, glad to finally have another young girl here. Misako and their sensei's were kind and tried to make her comfortable in hopes that she would trust them enough to talk to them. But she just stared, her face hard, non breaking, as if anticipating an attack after every word.

He stared back now. She didn't look away, the book Nya had given her to read was folded neatly next to her legs. Her body was propped up into a sitting position with pillows. And she just stared at him.

Cole cleared his throat again, "Um... Hi?"

Idiot. Don't talk to her, leave now like you always do, save some of your dignity.

He ignored his growling inner voice and stepped up from behind the couch. The idea of talking to her suddenly seemed interesting.

He walked closer slowly. He could see her body tense. Mistrust. Years of mistrust and harm.

He could tell by the way her staring turned into analyzing. He had an idea. Quickly he left the room, and headed for the kitchen, two minutes later he reappeared with a bowl of chocolate fudge.

Without another thought, for fear if he did think about it, his conscious would stop him, he walked over right up to the side of her bed. This as the closest he'd ever been to her.

"Here." He crouched down to be at eye level with her, "Take some, fudge does wonders for moods." He handed her the plate. Waiting, watching as she stared at it instead of him.

Slowly she reached out her hand and took on small piece. Cole bit back a grin, maybe she could be won over after all.

She looked at him now and waited to see what he would do.

"Go ahead, eat it, Zane made them, he's a really good cook. Of course, I'm pretty good myself but..." He trailed off realizing she had no idea what the heck he was saying, "Um... it's really good." He finished quickly, standing up now.

He turned to leave before he became labeled as crazy. A small sound caught his attention and he turned back slightly.

She was licking her fingers.

He just stared this time. Suddenly an idea formed in his head, she liked it... perhaps she wasn't a monster after all.

"Hey, I never did get your name."

She eyed him slowly, her stare turned into a glare.

"You know."

Her word caught him off guard. He wasn't used to hearing her, just seeing her.

"I...do?" He scratched his black shaggy head.

She threw her legs over, her attitude completely changing, "You do. You know who I am, you were the one that saw, the other's didn't."

He gulped, so she did know he knew... whatever.

"I, well-um-"

"I want to know why you haven't told them." She continued tensely, "You are all obviously one organization. Keeping this kind of secret is..." She thought for a moment, her eyes glinting with slight danger, "Hazardous to you health."

Cole's heart skipped a beat, "Um... yah but..."

"Why." She demanded sharply.

This was such a dramatic change that he had actually forgotten that she was a deadly shadow warrior.

What the heck was in that fudge?

"Answer."

He looked at her, "I... can't" Idiot. She just kicked his butt without lifting a finger.

Her eyes narrowed, a split second later her hand shot out, grabbed him by the collar and pulled him down with immense strength, nearly nose to nose, Her eyes boring into his.

"Whatever the reason, I will not stay here to find out." She hissed.

He held back a gulp, "Listen... girl, I didn't, I'm not... you don't have to be suspicious ok. Remember, why would I risk my neck to save you from bloody death, emphasis on the bloody, just to hurt you later?" His face stone serious as he spoke.

Her eyes widened slightly, doubt crossing them before she narrowed them again, he noticed their color. Violet. light and dark purple mixed in around her pupils. Jay would love this information.

She pulled harder. Gah, focus moron.

"You lie."

"No I don't" He spoke calmly now, masking his surprised fear.

Her hand slightly lessened before she let go completely, "Why wouldn't you lie." She crossed her arms defiantly.

Cole rubbed his neck, "Because I'm a ninja, and I have some honor in me. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if um... Jay needs help or something." With that he left as quickly as possible. He knew her eyes were following him all the way.
