Chapter 13

The following week

Adrian POV

I'm sitting here watching some TV before bed; Brooke and Blake are fast asleep. Ben is in his study working on his latest novel. My cell phone goes off and I grab it from the coffee table.

I answer, "Hello Antonio"

He says, "Hey baby girl"

I laugh, "You are in a good mood. What are you up to?"

He replies, "Nothing, I was thinking maybe we could grab lunch tomorrow?"

I think about my plans for tomorrow, "Sounds good, Ben will probably be busy writing all day and my parents are picking up the kids for the weekend."

He says, "So let me guess you are bored out of your mind watching cheesy TV right now?"

I laugh, "You know me too well."

He laughs, "That I sure do."

Just then Ben sits next to me on the sofa and pulls me closer to him. I kiss his forehead and bid Antonio a good night also confirming our lunch plans tomorrow.

Ben asks, "Antonio again?"

I smile, "Yes, we are getting lunch tomorrow? Would you like to join us?"

He rolls his eyes, "Yeah because that wouldn't be awkward."

"Oh come on Benny, don't be like that." I frown.

He sighs, "Be like what? You talk to him a lot now and you guys have history. You can't blame me for being uncomfortable."

I get up from out of his lap, "You don't trust me?!"

He gets off the couch, "That is crap and you know it, you know I trust you. I'm going to bed."

I grab on his arm to keep him from leaving, "Don't just walk away, we need to talk about his!"

Ben yanks his arm back, "No, I have a headache. We will talk about it tomorrow after your lunch date."

I yell, "It isn't a date!" He slams the door to our bedroom.

Jack POV

Kayla finally got back from Florida yesterday; I've been counting the hours till I get out of work so I can see her again. I quickly get home and shower. I ordered from her favorite take out and she should be here any minute. Once she gets here and I open the door, she jumps into my arms and starts attacking my lips passionately. I carry her over to the sofa and we are making out, grinding into each other.

She finally catches her breath, "Baby, I have missed you so so much."

I give her a devilish smirk and laugh, "Can't you see how much I have missed you."

She laughs and says, "Make love to me, then we can enjoy our dinner."

I kiss around her neck and whisper in her ear, "I thought you would never ask."

After some heart stopping love making we reheat our dinner and sit at the dining table.

I ask, "We should just move in together? I want to be with you all the time."

She thinks about it for a couple minutes, "Jack it's too soon, we just got back together."

I pout with my puppy dog eyes.

She laughs and says, "We can start off with having like sleep overs here and there. We will see how that goes first."

I smile, "That sounds good to me."

She asks, "Do you want to watch some movies and cuddle?"

I reply, "I would love too. But no chick flicks."

She laughs, "But baby, I love to watch chick flicks with you."

I shrug my shoulders, "Fine but then you have to let me pick one."

Amy POV

All week I have been avoiding Ricky, I decide to wear my black strapless pleated-bodice dress by Guess with some stilettos. My long hair is curled perfectly, I apply some make up and I'm ready to show up at the house to finally have a long talk with Ricky.

I'm just going to surprise him with his favorite pasta dish with homemade sauce. We need to have a long conversation on the next step with our divorce or reconciliation. John is staying at my dad and Kathleen's tonight. I get to the house with the food I have prepared because I know Ricky should be home really soon. I see Ruth just about to start dinner for him, I walk in.

She has a huge smile and says, "Hi Amy, it is so good to see you!"

This woman is such a sweetheart; I give her a big hug. "It is great to see you too! I was just going to surprise Ricky with dinner."

She says, "He should be here any minute, I will head back to the guest house so you can have some alone time."

I say, "Aww you don't have to."

As she is already heading out, she says, "I insist."

I light some candles and set the table. I can feel him here before he says anything.

I look up and he is smiling at me in awe, "Amy wow this is an amazing surprise. You look breath taking."

I smile, "Thank you, you are looking well yourself."

I melt as he brings me in for a hug, I can smell his intoxicating cologne. He looks edible in his work suit. After our embrace he pulls out my chair for me. Once we are seated and start eating.

He smiles, "mmm my favorite, oh how much I have missed your pasta."

I say, "I'm glad you like it."

He asks, "Where's John?"

I reply, "He is with my dad, we need to talk."

After a forkful of pasta he chuckles, "I'm nervous, please say you have considered what I said?"

I say, "I have but I don't know. I've never been one to open up to a complete stranger."

He says, "It can feel quite liberating. Amy, I have learned my lesson. I will never put work before you and John again. I have even hired two more guys to help lesson my work load. My business is going to give us a life we only ever dreamed of."

I say, "I don't care about that, we just want you Ricky. I don't care about the money. I just need you!"

Ricky gets up and picks me up. My legs automatically wrap around his waist as he is carrying from the dining room towards our bedroom upstairs. He looks deep into my eyes, "Baby you have always had me and you always will." With that I lose all control, we are kissing passionately, our clothes flying everywhere. He says, "God Amy, I have missed you so much baby."

I moan, "Oh Ricky, I have missed you too."

We make passionate love all night long.
