AN: The final battle is on! But for me, this is only the beginning. I will continue this story after the Battle of Endor is over, and maybe write a sequel someday. I've already got a second story ready for when I'm done, and I think you guys will like it. But "always in motion, the future is" so like Luke said in an earlier chapter, "we should also stay focused on the present, or we'll miss the chance to shape the future."

Nataly SkyPot: Thank you so much for staying with me this whole time.

Enjoy the main course!

(Anakin POV)

One slip up and everything will be over. Depressing, but true. If I fail I won't get a third chance to change the world, 'cause it's hard to save the galaxy when you're dead. Speaking of which, thinking like this will distract me, therefore causing me to mess up and get myself killed…and a Darwin Award.

To an onlooker who was unaware of what was going on, the duel would've looked like a dangerous dance. Capes and cloaks whirling, crimson (and in Luke's case green) blades clashing, and the occasional blast of lightening.

The dance played on for what seemed like hours, more than once my boot found its way into Palpatine's face. Doing things on my own will felt really good. It was almost like when I was a padawan, not following orders from anyone and starting pie wars with Obi-Wan and/or other padawans my age. How I wish I had a pie with me right now!

After tireless thrusting and dodging, I found myself slammed against the wall. I could vaguely feel the blood trickling down the back of my head. The last thing I saw was Luke yelling something as pure energy filled my vision.

(Luke POV)

No…no…no no no no NO! This can't be happening. Just when I finally got him back, death came to take him away from me. The Emperor laughed sickly as he sneered, "You're daddy dearest can't save you now. Join the dark side young Skywalker, it's the only way."

There's gotta be another way! Turning to the dark side would only be disrespecting Anakin's memory. In one desperate move, I transferred all the loving in my heart towards the dark knight on the ground.

"You can't raise the dead Skywalker, surely you know that by now."

I sank to my knees in despair. I closed my eyes to stop the flow of tears, memories flashing through my head. Memories of my past, my father's past, memories of the short yet precious time we spent together. They say you never know what you've got until it's gone, but I knew what I had. I had the single most incredible person in the world. A person who had lost so much, but didn't once think of suicide. A person who never thought of putting himself first, it was always about those he held close to his broken heart. A person who didn't deserve to die today.

There was a glowing light, and something shadowed over me. I looked up, and my mind was blown to pieces.

Floating in midair, was a god-like being with a white flame in each hand. He was very attractive, with blond curls blowing in a wind I didn't feel. Black leather was melting away, revealing white Jedi robes, lined with gold. He gave of a warm light, that was so strong I could literally see it. I didn't realize who it was until I looked into his eyes. Glowing blue orbs stared out of a face I now know the identity of.

"Ironic, isn't it," the force's child's voice echoed angelically, "now the puppet has control over the puppeteer. It's time to destroy what you tricked me into creating. Once. And. For. All."

(Leia POV)

When your watching teddy bears throw rocks at bucket heads, the last thing you expect is to feel a giant pulsing energy. Even people who weren't force sensitive felt it. Everyone collapsed at once, it even knocked a tree down. No one seemed to know what it was, but I did. Looks like I'll have to cancel the surgery I set up, because somebody's fully operational.

(Luke POV)

He shot a beam of light, DIRECTLY FROM HIS HAND. It was insane! The purity blinded me, and when it cleared up, I saw my father lose consciousness and fall down from midair. I ran over and caught him, surprised by how light he was.

"You did it," I said once I regained my voice, "you're free now."

There was no response, so I just let him be. I took a moment to look him over. He looked younger than me, which was a little weird, but a welcome change from literally a minute ago. I carried him to the elevator, and once it began going down, I put a hand on his chest. Rise. Fall. Rise. Fall. Rise.

I never thought those words would make my day, but they did. Anakin Skywalker had truly risen from the dead.

I found an Imperial shuttle and walked up the ramp. I turned the co-pilots seat into a makeshift bed and rested my guardian angel on it. As I flew back to Endor, I heard the technological terror explode behind me.

As I landed the shuttle, I heard moaning next to me. I turned to see my father waking up. He looked at me and said, "Not what you were expecting I'm guessing."

"I wasn't expecting ANYTHING that happened up there."

He stood up and said, "Now how do you suppose we explain this to Han and Leia."

At the sound of her name, Leia flew through the entrance and halted when she saw us.

"Woah," she said simply, "I knew you got better, but I didn't expect you to be younger than me."

"Appearance wise, I'm only a year younger than you. Age wise…I am not to be regarded as being younger than you, because I'm not. I'm forty five." Anakin stated.

"You're almost ASKING, for Han to call you 'milord' with THAT attitude," I teased.

"Can we go now?" he asked impatiently.

I nodded and we went to join the festivities at the Ewok village.

AN: I'm not very good at writing about lightsaber battles, so that's why I didn't describe the actual battle much. Sorry! BTW: For those who don't know, a Darwin Award is an award for doing something really stupid. As always, review and tell me what you think should happen next!
