AN: Sorry it was late! Last night I fell asleep while typing. This is going to be a long one! Just warning you all. I've got so many elements to toy around with now, and since you guys seemed to like the last self-invented thing I did (#literally_rise_lord_vader), I'll be doing some rather…CREATIVE things.

AmyMilo: I don't know why it's called that either. Chapter Fourteen was pretty funny ;-)

Now I present you with the next chapter.

(Anakin POV)

I had no clue where to start. Luke was already eating, but I just stared at my plate confused. Luke noticed, and then asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"

Well, this was embarrassing. "I forget how," I said dumbly.

Luke let out an exasperated sigh and demonstrated, "Take the fork, and stab the piece of food with it. Then put it in your mouth and chew. It's simple."

I did so, and felt some weird sensation in my mouth. What the heck was that? "It's called tasting," Luke said.

I glared and replied, "I know what tasting is Luke. I'm not a toddler."

"In a way, you were just reborn. So technically you are."

"Technically that makes no sense," I retorted.

"Just eat the pancakes."

I took another bite and came to a conclusion: Food is amazing! So much FLAVOR. Much better than stomach tubes or having nutrients injected right into my blood stream. For now on I'm not going to do anything dangerous! Actually, I shouldn't be making a promise that I KNOW I won't be able to keep. Dangerous is my middle name.

Just as I finished scooping extra whipped cream off my plate and eating it, something banged at the door. I walked over and opened it, only to be tackled by a dozen Ewoks. Luke was snickering in the background, and I probably did look pretty stupid.

"Can you get off of me?" I asked, trying to get fur and my own hair out of my face.

The Ewoks got off of me, but then they started…DANCING?! Three were tap dancing, one was failing at ballet, and the rest were doing a kick line. It made no sense. Then, my com rang.

"Saved by the bell," Luke said, and herded my posse elsewhere as I took the call.

"You have reached Anakin Skywalker, how can I help you?" I said.

"We have someone requesting to see you General, do you know anyone by the code name 6262?" came the reply of a bored sounding officer.

"Yes I do, I'll be right there."

I shut off the com and said, "Come on son, my partner has as little patience as I do. If we keep her waiting we'll be dead."

Luke nodded and followed me to the hangar where Mara had landed her ship, or knowing her, MY SHIP.

(Mara POV)

What the heck was that ex-helmet-head doing? Putting his hair in a braid or something? He was taking a very long time to simply get to the hangar. I heard two pairs of footsteps and I turned to the left. Sure enough, there was Anakin, and a guy I guessed to be his son.

"Sorry to keep you waiting Mara," Anakin said professionally, "I had to take care of some business. Don't ask what kind of business."

Considering this guy was DARTH VADER of all people, I didn't really want to know. But I did want to get a snarky remark in there.

"What was important enough that it came before the only person who considered you a person for twenty or so years?" I asked, partially sarcastic.

"I am most thankful for you doing that, but this issue needed some divine intervention," he responded.

"Uh, Father? Aren't you going to introduce me to her?" his son asked impatiently.

"Oh yeah. Luke, this is Mara Jade. She and I had our share of "adventures" when I was still a mindless pawn. Mara, this is Luke. He, as you probably figured out, is the son I was talking about." Anakin said.

We looked each other in the eye and it felt like time stopped. He was like a shorter, more innocent, version of his father. "Hi," we both said at the same time. I didn't know it back then, but Anakin had a victorious smile on his face.

"I'll handle all this business stuff. Luke, how about you show Mara around. You two could also get to know each other better," he said.

Luke and I began walking through a hallway when he asked, "How did you and my father meet?"

I laughed, remembering. The day we met was very… strange. "It's a funny story you see. I was six, and I got lost on Coruscant…

(Flashback)

Why does this planet have to be so confusing? And big? I decided to look for directions back to where I was. As I ran through the crowded streets, I some how didn't notice the guy who was around two meters tall and wearing all black. I literally ran into him.

"Sorry sir," I apologized automatically, "I didn't see where I was going."

He turned to face me and the realization dawned onto me. I had just ran into the second most powerful person in the galaxy. I thought I was going to die.

"I'm not going to kill you," he said, "now where do you need to be so urgently that you ran blindly through the biggest city in the galaxy."

He wasn't going to kill me? I held back a sigh of relief and said, "I needed to report back to my master for training."

"Well it seems we have something in common then. Now come along Miss Jade, the weather is going to get pretty bad."

I nodded and we walked down the streets in silence. From time to time someone would stare at our unlikely pair and Vader would quickly say, "She's not my daughter, quit making stupid assumptions."

The first time he said that, I sensed something. Was that…regret? And sadness? I thought I had to be imagining things. After 30 or so minutes of walking, a blaster bolt zipped right past my head. Before I knew it, Mr. Tough Stuff himself became a human(?) shield to protect me. Within seconds he had his lightsaber out, ready to unleash himself on whoever dared fire that laser. Several more blasts came through, and the dark lord deflected them with ease.

"Mara stay back, things are going to get ugly," he warned me. I was too scared to realize he knew my name even though I never told him.

I hid behind a garbage can, and watched as one by one, a group of bounty hunters came out of the shadows. "You're surrounded," one of them said.

To my surprise, Vader put his hands up. "I surrender," he said, "…NOT."

The second in command in action was a sight few get to see. He moved with a dark grace that someone of his size shouldn't be capable of, as he slammed a fist into the face of the leader. I closed my eyes to avoid seeing any chopping, for I knew he'd do that.

When the last of them was taken care of, it began raining. The one day I don't wear a jacket. So I ended up hidden in Vader's cloak, as he CARRIED ME to the Imperial Palace…

(End Flashback)

Ever since then we had this kind of bond, and we always ended up in trouble with someone."

Luke smiled and said, "When I went to go redeem my father, it started with HIM running slam into ME as I opened his door. What goes around comes around I guess."

If the kid was anything like his father, we'd be slamming into A LOT of things.
