DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN OURAN HIGHSCHOOL HOST CLUB AND NEVER WILL.
"Honey, I'm home." Faith mocked as she came in the door.
"Where have you been? I've been waiting forever."
"Sorry, I got…lost." Faith lied.
"Where's the milk?" Mercy asked taping her foot.
"What mil-oh, umm I drank it all." Faith said pathetically.
"You drank it all?"
"Yep, cause I love….milk." For some reason Faith couldn't tell Mercy where she had really been. 'besides, Mercy hasn't even met Haruhi yet, and once she does, I'm sure she'll notice she's really a girl right away.' Faith thought to herself.
"Oh please, you don't even like milk." Mercy scoffed.
"No, but now I can say that I got milk." Faith said failing to make a joke. There was an awkward pause as they stared at each other. Mercy shook her head.
"You know what, were starting to sound like a married couple and that's just creepy so I'm just going to let you do whatever." She said walking away. Faith sighed relieved as she plopped down on the couch.
"So tired" She mumbled, curling up in a ball.
(Kaoru and Hikaru)
Kaoru sat on their bed, waiting for his brother to finish his shower. He couldn't help but think of Faiths outburst.
'Don't compare me to those types of people!' her words rang continuously in his head. Kaoru leaned back and fell on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Just then Hikaru came out of the shower.
" Kaoru, can you hand me the brush?" Hikaru asked. There was no response.
"Kaoru?" He asked again,
"Oh, ya here. Sorry about that, I was deep in thought." Kaoru said apologetically.
"About what?"
"Nothing important." Kaoru smiled. His brother looked at him suspiciously.
"Okay, if you say so." Hikaru said, studying his brother.
(Faith and Mercy)
"AHHHHH! Faith screamed as she jerked up. "Wah? Why am I wet and freezing?" She asked.
"Because I threw a bucket of ice cold water on you." Mercy replied casually.
"Why?" Faith asked as she struggled to get a piece of ice that fell down her shirt out.
"Because you wouldn't wake up." Mercy said as she put the bucket down.
"Gahhh! I'm going to change!" Faith said as she stomped to the room. Mercy laughed as she started picking up the stray ice cubes. Once Faith was all warm and dry again she picked up the couch cushions and put them outside. She looked up at the sky, it was pitch black out.
"Mercy, what time is it?" Faith hollered behind her.
"Late, why?" Asked Mercy as she came up behind Faith.
"Well I was going to let the cushions sundry but there's no sun." Faith sighed.
"Yep, the suns been gone for a while." Mercy agreed. Faith stopped.
"Then why didn't you let me sleep?" Faith asked agitatedly.
"I forget now, whatever let's get some rest." With that Mercy left and headed to the room with Faith stomping frustrated behind her.
"Crap" Mercy said as Faith entered the room.
"What now?" Faith groaned.
"There's only one bed." Mercy sighed.
"What? Why didn't you tell me that before?" Faith asked.
"I didn't know."
"What do you mean you don't know? You slept here last night!" Faith accused.
"No, remember I didn't make it and fell asleep on the floor instead."
"Oh right. I thought that was just an excuse you used to be grumpy." Faith muttered. Mercy glared.
"Well, I guess you're just going to have to sleep on the couch again." Mercy suggested.
"The couch is wet, remember!" Faith yelled in exasperation.
"Oh yeah…well I slept on the floor yesterday, it's your turn." Mercy said stubbornly.
"Or we could share the bed." Faith suggested.
"Yeah I guess we could do that." Mercy sighed as she plopped down on the right side of the bed. "Stay on your side" she grumbled as she cuddled up in Meowie. Faith scooted in.
"Love you too" She mumbled to herself as she closed her eyes. Suddenly she became extremely aware of Mercy being right next to her. She felt a bit scared as she shut her eyes tighter. Faith took a big breath 'I'm probably just homesick' she thought as she started to drift.
The alarm was just annoying this morning as it was the last time. Faith got up groggily as she rubbed her eyes. She looked around only to discover Mercy gone. Faith got up and stumbled, she headed to the kitchen only to see Mercy eating a bowl of cereal with another bowl next to her.
"That one for me?" Faith asked, pointing to the other bowl.
"Yes, after the whole pants incident yesterday I can't afford to eat two bowls of cereal." Mercy smirked. 'That's odd' thought Faith 'Mercy never makes jokes at her own expense and since when did she start making breakfast?'
"You're being unusually nice, what's the occasion?" Faith asked as she took a seat and started to eat.
"Nothing, just kind of a welcome to Japan thing. We've had pretty bad luck so I decided to make one normal memory here." Mercy said tacking another bite. Faith looked suspicious but shrugged it off and devoured the rest of her cereal.
They arrived at school at just the right time. Mercy and Faith had scrambled threw the halls careful not to knock someone over this time.
"Finally in homeroom." Faith sighed.
"Well if you hadn't forgotten your books while we were half way to school, then we wouldn't have had to rush back to the apartment and back to school!" Mercy scolded.
"Well if you didn't rush me I wouldn't have forgotten to bring my books in the first place!" Even though Faith was arguing she was relieved that Mercy was back to her old self.
"You girls like to come late I see." Said a familiar voice as he rose from a chair. Faith turned to face him.
"Hello Hikaru." Faith sighed.
"How do you know its Hikaru and not Kaoru?" He asked.
"Because of your voice, you use a different tone then he does." Faith replied. Hikaru stared at her.
"Whatever, lucky guess." He said perching himself against the desk.
"Good morning Kaoru." She greeted the other twin, he just stared back.
"This is Mercy" Faith said motioning to her friend. "I don't believe you guys got to introduce yourselves properly."
"Nice to meet you." Kaoru smiled as his brother huffed. Hikaru remembered their earlier conversation.
Hikaru: I'm still not sure I believe her.
Kaoru: I think she can be trusted with this, but we'll keep an eye on her anyway.
Hikaru: Fine but what about the Mercy girl? What if she can't keep her mouth shut.
Kaoru: Then we'll just have to be nice to them and charm them into not telling.
Hikaru: I don't like it; I just don't want them to tear us apart.
Kaoru: Don't worry; we'll make it so they won't tell. Let's just be nice.
Clenching his fists, Hikaru looked away. What if they told anyway? Haruhi had become important to him as well as everyone else. He didn't want to lose them.
"Nice to meet you." He smiled.
