Howie's P.O.V.
I remember starting this show. Americas Got Talent. It is so popular now, and bigger than ever. Now it's season 7 and its Sharon, Howard, and I. I love Sharon. She's awesome. So small, funny, and cute. Meanwhile, everyone thought Howard and I had a feud going on. People thought we genuinely hate each other. Man. I must be one good actor.
"What did you think Howie?" Sharon was smiling at me. She looked at me, the person on stage, then back at me. Oh. Right. There's a show going on. Good thing I heard some of it, anyway. Apparently this guy was good...
"..umm. You know it's hard to be a comedian. I thought he nailed this out of the park. He sure made me laugh. And I know the audience loved him." The audience applauded at this. Nice. We all gave him a yes and he was on his way. Finally, we were finished and we went backstage. Man, I was tired and distracted. I just wanted to go home.
I cringed at that thought. I wasn't going home. I had to stay at a hotel and go to the next place for more auditions. Oh so much fun. But it was worth it. I started smiling to myself just thinking about-
"Great show today," Howard said. He had that cute little smirk and...wait. Did I just say cute? Oh god. What is wrong with me? I couldn't get my mouth to work. I stood there staring, thinking. Millions of thoughts traveled through my mind.
When did this start?
What is this feeling?
Why is this happening to me?
I didn't notice I was staring until Sharon cleared her throat.
I looked over at her, and Sharon looked at me, sympathetically. Oh god. Is it THAT obvious? Oh man.
"Thanks. You too," I replied gingerly. I may have been a little late.
Howard looked up. "What?"
"Ummm...never mind." I could feel the blush creeping up my neck, slowly making its way to my face. What just happened? I'm so lost, and I'm so screwed.
I said goodbye to Howard and Sharon, with a smile. I slowly made my way to the limo. my feet dragging. I let a sigh of relief escape me. Finally, I could get away from it all for another night, and nothing was revealed. I knew I had it bad though. At least it was starting to get bad.
Just as I was leaving I heard Howard call my name. My heart literally skipped a beat. My god, what he does to me. He's coming! I have to compose myself.
"What's up Howard?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight. Maybe get a drink or two? We haven't gotten to know each other too well yet," Howard smiled, showing all of his teeth.
My mouth had dropped. He looked...like Howard. In his street clothes. Oh man.
"Howie?"
I quickly shut my mouth, and gulped. "Well...I...you...we-"
"Are you okay?" Howard looked at me with concerned eyes. I blushed again. Why did this happen to me? I was making a joke out of myself. I have to compose myself.
I tried again. " I was actually hoping to get some sleep. I'm exhausted. Long day, and it'll be even longer tomorrow." Well, it wasn't all a lie. I really was exhausted. I don't know how much I'll really sleep though.
Howard looked at me. Don't start again..."Oh. Sure. I totally understand. It's cool man. Maybe some other time?"
"Of course. Sometime soon." I felt bad now. I wanted to hang out with him, just not tonight. I had a lot to think about...
