DISCLAIMER: Hi again. Sorry that it's a day late, I'm trying my best. Thank you for everything, i REALLY love your reviews! It just makes me want to work harder!
The next day came like a smack in the face for Faith as she woke up. Somewhere during the night she had been crying in her sleep, according to her tear stained face. Mercy walked around silently, not sure whether to speak up or stay quite. Faith on the other hand was walking around like a ghost, she wanted nothing more than to fall on the floor and stay there for the rest of her life. The thought of her having to go to the host club caused her great distress. She would have stayed home but Mercy insisted she go to 'keep her mind off things' but Faith was sure it was to have an opposite effect. When they arrived at school Faith had a sudden urge to cry. She wanted nothing more to break down and throw a fit like a 6 year old and beg not to go to school, but instead Faith remained emotionless. As they entered the school Mercy kept nervously glancing to Faith but she kept on the mask to keep out the rest of the world.
"Bye." Faith muttered as she headed to her class, leaving Mercy behind even though they were in the same class. She took a seat and the twins came up to her.
"Hey, you looked cute in the cat costume yesterday." Kaoru stated.
"Nya." Hikaru added mockingly. Their voices seemed far away to Faith, she was barely aware of the world. After the twins stare her down for a reply, they peered down to look at her face. She was a mess, her hair was crazy unlike how smooth and perfect it was on another day. Her eyes were tinted red as a small subtle sign that she had been crying. She looked dead with her abnormally pale skin.
"Are you okay?" They asked. This time Faith different even hear them; she was trapped in the memory of hiding in the closet as the stranger approached. It was dark and smelt like dust, but she was too scared to speak up. She had cracked the closet door open just enough to see the man pull out a strange object. Little did she know it was a gun, soon to take everything she ever knew and loved. With a pull of a trigger it was all gone, just like that. A sudden noise made Faith flinch back as if she was dodging the bullet, but as she very well knew, it wasn't her that died. Faith opened her eyes to find the class staring at her and the teacher staring down at her. He had a ruler pressed against the desk which her obviously smacked down to wake her up, it was also the source of the sound.
"Are you okay? You look sick." The teacher said, concerned. She placed her hand on Faith forehead to check her temperature when Faith swiftly proceeded to smack her hand away.
"I'm fine." She said without the slightest emotion. The entire class gawked at her, Kaoru and Hikaru stared at her the hardies. This was so unlike her usual happy self; they wondered what had happened to make her act like this. As they moved from class to class, she just kept getting colder. The twins have tried to talk to her but it all ended in vain. They noticed Mercy sitting the farthest she could from Faith which led them to believe that they had a fight. At the last period of the day, Faith was happy she didn't have either Mercy or Faith in her class, but she really didn't want to see the stupid teacher.
'Look at you, so pathetic. Mommy and daddy must be so ashamed of you.' Her words still rang in her ears and pinched her heart like the day that they had been first spoken. She entered the class room and sat down. Haruhi greeted her but Faith didn't even glance her way, she just wanted to get today out of the way. When the teacher entered she made a few snooty remarks to Faith but that was only to be expected. As the class progressed the remarks only got more vicious but Faith remained as black as a board.
"I don't know whether to laugh at you or pity you." She snickered. Faith ignored her the best she could, while Haruhi clench her knuckles in frustration. 'I thought Kyoya would take care of her!' She thought angrily.
"You know, I feel so bad for your parents. I bet they would die to get away from you." The teacher said as a evil smile crossed her lips. To everyone's surprise, Faith started laughing. Al was quite as Faith laughter rang around the classroom. The teacher turned red.
"What? You think that it's a joke." She snapped.
"No, you're the joke." Faith countered. The teacher was furious; she would not be mistaken as a fool.
"Come up here right now!" She yelled. Faith got out of her seat and walked up casually.
"You think you're so smart right? That you couldn't possibly stand talking with someone as stupid as me" She hissed sarcastically.
"Look whose finally being honest with themselves." Faith sneered. Suddenly the teacher wiped out and smacked Faith so hard that it sent her crashing to the floor. Haruhi jumped up and smacked her hands down on the desk.
"What do you think you're doing? You can't hit her!" Harihi exploded.
"I can do whatever I want you idiots." The teacher roared. This started a huge panic with the class. Faith got off the floor and let out a boyish chuckle. She got up and walked out of the room as the teacher continued to scream things. Haruhi ran after her but when she exited the room, she couldn't find Faith anywhere. She raced down the hall, unaware of where she was going when she suddenly turned into a classroom. It was the classroom the twins were in and without thinking; Haruhi ran up to the teacher and asked if they could be excused for a moment. The teacher agreed and the twins walked out with her.
"What wrong?" They asked in concern. Haruhi quickly explained the situation and together they ran from class to class collecting all of the hosts. One by one they gathered everybody until they entered and collected Mercy. After explaining the situation to everyone, Mercy looked down in sadness.
"Will you help me find her?" She whispered quietly.
"Of course." Everyone nodded and split up. Kaoru looked out the window, deep in thought when he saw something.
"Look! There she is." He pointed out. Hikaru ran and grabbed Mercy's arm as he followed his younger brother down the endless stairs. They burst through the doors to see Faith slowly making her way across the lawn, she moved sluggishly and looked as if she were dead. Mercy was about to call out her name when she saw Faith start to cross the street, oblivious to the fact that it was a green light. Before anyone could react, a car came speeding towards her.
"NO!" Mercy screamed as she shut her eyes, the only thing she could do was listen to the crunch of a body and then the screams of the pedestrians calling for 911.
(Koaru)
He ran out of the building with Mercy and Hikaru following behind them. Faith was walking zombie-like towards the street. He glanced up to see a car coming up, she was going to get hit! Without a moment's thought or hesitation, he ran full speed and pushed her out of the way. He heard Mercy scream behind him as pain suddenly overwhelmed him. He felt the car crush his bones, then nothing at all as he faded into oblivion.
(Faith)
Faith fell hard onto the road as she snapped out of her trance. Everyone was staring and whispering to call 911, what had happened? She turned around to see Kaoru there in a small puddle of blood. Plain panic shot through her as realization set on her, what she had done. Despite the pain, Faith got up and rushed over to him with tears streaming down her face. She placed her ear against his chest to listen for a heart beat when suddenly she was pushed back onto the ground. Hikaru crouched down, his tears falling faster than a waterfall.
"Get away from him! It's all your fault!" He cried. Faith sat there in horror as an ambulance came and hoisted Kaoru up on a gurney and wheeled him into the vehicle. Mercy came running up as Faith was lifted off the ground. Anger and fear possessed her as she started screaming and crying, doing the best to try to push the person off of her.
"It's okay, were trying to help you." They assured. Faith ignored them and punched him in the face, causing him to drop her. She scramble up like a frightened mouse, Hikaru was crying, Koaru was probably dead the students were scared and it was all her fault.
'Why? Why wasnt it me? I should be dead, i always should've been dead. When will peoople stop dying for me? It was this day too, this day that my parents were killed, this day that i should have died...twice now. It shoud have been me, why wasnt it me?'
Mercy slowly approached Faith and took her hand. Faith tried to get it back but Mercy's Grip tightened as she dragged Faith into the ambulance. They drove off with Faith screaming and punching/kicking everyone that was trying to restrain her; they eventually had to drug her to get her to calm down. Mercy was pulling her hair as hard as she could, not knowing what else to do to keep her sane. Hikaru was holding onto his brother's hand as he cried, screaming at Faith that he hated her and it was all her fault. The medics tried to ignore all the chaos as they worked desperately to revive Kaoru.
(Haruhi)
Haruhi stood there with the rest of the hosts as they watched the ambulance leave. Many emotions stirred through her such as fear, sadness, shock, anger. Dispite the curcimstances, everyone couldn't help but be filled with anger at the teacher, did she even know what she had done? But little did they know that the teacher did know, and that she was their watching them through the window, laughing.
