DISCLAIMER: Do you hate the teacher as much as I do?...I thought so. I wont torcher you any longer, on with the story!
Faith awoke in a daze. She was so confused she prayed that it had all been a dream, but once she looked around and found herself in a hospital, she knew she wasn't.
"How are you feeling?" Mercy asked as she sat at the edge of the bed.
"How do you think? How long have I been out?" Faith asked.
"For a few days."
"A few days! How many exactly?"
"Today's the fifth." Mercy said slowly.
"T-the fifth!" Faith felt herself start to get a panic attack. Mercy laid down next to her and closed her eyes.
"Relax, you went into shock which is normal considering everything that's happened. But as long as you take it easy and don't move you should be out of here soon." She sighed, opening her eyes. Mercy looked around and groaned as she noticed Faith was gone. Mercy got up and ran down the hall, she wasn't nervous because knew exactly where Faith was heading.
(Faith)
Faith ran down the hall, slipping and sliding all over the place until she ran full speed into a nurse which sent them both flying to the ground.
"So sorry, I wasn't paying attention…..Ummm, do you happen know where a patient named Kaoru Hitachiin is?" Faith asked nervously. The nurse just glared at her as she muttered the words.
"Rom 213."
"Thank you." Faith said as she ran off. She burst through the door and into room 213. Faith collapsed next to the bad as she stared him. He was completely bandaged up; you couldn't even see his face. She grabbed onto one of his hands and buried her face in the edge of the bed.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." She cried. After 5 minutes of that, someone finally walked into the room.
"Who are you?" Asked the stranger. Faith turned around and looked at her in confusion.
"Who are you?" She asked instead.
"I'm his wife." She growled.
"What! I-I-I didn't know that Kaoru had a wife." Faith stuttered.
"Who's Kaoru?" The woman snapped as she continued to glare.
"W-what, what room is this?" Faith asked.
"Room 113."
"Room one13? Not 213?"
"No, room 113."
"Oh." Faith said stupidly. She looked down to see that she was still holding his hand. Faith let out a squeak as she dropped it and walked to the door.
"I hope he gets better." She said awkwardly to the woman as she made a hasty retreat. Faith had no time to curl up in embarrassment as she ran down the hall to the correct room. She checked the room number about 50 times before she entered, but once she did, Faith was relieved to see all the host club members look up at her.
"How is he?" She panted, tears gathering in her eyes.
"I'm fine." He said from the bed. Faith jumped in surprise, but she felt relief flood through her.
"I've been waiting for you to wake up; you took longer to recover than I did." He laughed. Faith hung her head down as she let the sadness over take her.
I'm so sorry. It's my entire fault, I'd ask for your forgiveness but I don't deserve it." She whispered. She could feel everybody stare holes into her, but she didn't care.
"Don't be stupid, it's not your fault. I chose to push you out of the way. Besides, everything's fine now so there so need to worry." He smiled. Tamaki walked up to her.
"That's right, no harm done." Tamaki smiled childishly.
"Well that's not necessarily true. Oh, and by the way, your new hospital bill will be added to your work hours." Kyoya said, pushing up his glasses. In a strange way, Faith was glad Kyoya said that, it made her feel like everything was normal and casual. She hated it when people tried to cheer her up, it just made her feel worse. She rather just have people change the subject and forget about it.
"Hey Kaoru, I doctor just told me that you can be released today." Hikaru said as he marched into the room. "I would have been here sooner, but I accidently walked into room 113 instead. The woman in there was really snappy." He added. Hikaru's smile soon disappeared as he caught sight of Faith.
"What are you doing here?" He snapped. Faith flinched away.
"I came to make sure he was alright." Faith barely even whispered out the words.
"Don't go near him, it's your fault he's in here in the first place. It's all your fault, you should have gotten hit inste-"
"Hikaru, it wasn't her fault. I told you that it was my choice, I knew what I was doing." Kaoru said, cutting his brother off.
"Why are you defending her?" He asked, gritting his teeth.
"Because she did nothing wrong." Tamaki interjected.
"That's right Hika-chan, please don't be mad at her." Hunny said as he started to tear up.
"You guys too?" Hikaru said, angered.
"No, Hikaru's right. It was my fault, it's my entire fault." Faith admitted. "I wish I had gotten hit instead." She laughed sheepishly. She knew that everyone was staring her down, which was exactly why she kept her sight locked onto the floor tiles.
"I do to." Hikaru muttered.
"Hikaru." Kaoru sighed.
"It's all right. I understand why you hate me." Faith laughed again. Just then, Mercy walked into the room.
"Jeez, it took me forever to get here! I accidently ran into room 113 instead and this woman exploded on me and when on and on in this endless ran about 'how people should learn to read' and then she started to threaten me with a book." Mercy said as she collapsed onto a stool. Despite Faiths current situation, she felt slightly better about herself, but then again, she bet that neither Mercy nor Hikaru held onto the stranger's hand. It was dark outside and Mercy didn't really know what to do. It was without a doubt that Faith was blaming herself and wishing it had been her, and telling her otherwise would just make her feel guilty. Faith was a hard person to cheer up, despite her preppy personality, once she got into a depression state it was very hard to get her out. Mercy knew that everybody telling her that it's not her fault only makes her blame herself more, and being in this room with all the eyes staring at her, deffinatly wasn't helping the situation. As for Hikaru, Mercy would need to keep those two as far away as possible, he would just make her feel worse.
"Faith, will you walk with me to get a cup of coffee? I could really use the caffeine"
"But I don't want to." Faith complained. Mercy grabbed her by the forearm and dragged her out of the door and into the small kitchen. Mercy watched as a shadow crossed Faiths face and she started to zone out. Mercy punched her on the top of her head, hard enough to snap her out of the daze.
"What was that for?" Faith whined.
"You were being stupid." Mercy shrugged.
"Was not." Faith protested.
"Were too. Acting all depressed when everything is fine, don't be an idiot. You're just making everyone worry when you act that way. We should be celebrating that everything and everyone is safe. So stop being a pain in the butt and feeling bad for yourself when there is nothing to worry about." Mercy huffed. Faith looked up and Mercy in a sense of admiration. It was obvious that Mercy had a hard time showing kindness and compassion. The only way she could cheer somebody up was through that i-don't-care act.
"Your right." Faith smiled, but this time she meant it.
