Akainu stood at the head of the navy battleship as it cut through the sea, water spraying to the sides.

The giant gates of justice opened up and allowed the armada to exit not far from the great under water prison, or where the prison was once located.

And not a second too soon. Over the retreating ships numerous stone spheres floated in the air.

„That's Shiki's work" mussed Sengoku, standing not far behind the Fleet-Admiral „or more likely the Hunter's if he ate the Golden Lion."

Sakazuki watched impassively the display, normally he wouldn't care about cowards who didn't have the will to fight and would rather run away, but he could hardly throw away the lives of thousands of Marines and Magellan just like that. He raised his right hand, a small den den mushi placed on a wristband „Kizaru, destroy the nuisance"

„Okayyy" came the response from the snail.

The next second a light show illuminated the sky as the spheres were blasted to dust, the rock crumbling under the devastating barrage of Borsalino's lasers.

„Look's like we made it just in time" commented Sengoku as he threw away his shirt, preparing for the battle that was about to come „at least to save the people if not the prison itself."

Akainu failed to comment how that was the least of his priorities.

As the ships poured through the Gates of Justice, spreading out so they could encircle the threat. Orders were being shouted as the brave Marines rushed to the deck, ready to combat anything that the Hunter was capable of throwing at them.

The smoke from Kizaru's attack dissipated leaving a single armored figure levitating in the sky.

„Ohhhh scaryyyy" said the Admiral, but though he wasn't afraid the fact still remained that the Hunter has weathered his barrage without a scratch.

Mercer gazed down on the advancing ships. It seems all is going as planed...

He didn't know what ability users were imprisoned inside Impel Down when he infiltrated it, except Shiki that is. But he wasn't disappointed, the carbon manipulation fruit was an excellent find.

By rearranging the carbon in his armor in a certain way it became much more resistant to attacks...though to be on the safe side Haki and Tekkai were still firmly in place. Even if his defenses were now much stronger than before, there was still a danger in some of the more exotics powers that didn't deal direct damage or ignored durability.

But physical and elemental attacks will find it a most difficult challenge.

The criminal who possessed the power before him was a big shot, but his knowledge of carbon was to rudimentary for the human to use it to its fullest potential. A limitation he did not have.

With a telepathic message to his infected forces hiding in the sea Blacklight began his real attack.

Gathering his biomass Alex fired a Pain Devastator, turning the closest ship into nothing more than a memory.

The first indication of the attack was hard to miss, that much was obvious to Coby as the vessel beside his own disappeared with all hands.

„That was Commodore Daigin's ship" grimaced Helmeppo.

All those voices...simply gone...just like that. Coby had to reign in his anger as he remembered where he was and who he was fighting against. No matter what people told him, to hear the voices disappear never got any easier.

His thoughts were interrupted when over the den den mushi's Akainu commanded to deploy some of the Pacifista in the water, to help against surprise attacks from below.

The Fleet-Admirals orders were immediately executed.

After a few minutes came the reply from the humanoid weapons.

„Enemy army detected. Engaging."

The soldiers that glanced into the water could see the lights of the lasers flashing from underneath them.

„Prepare to fire deep-sea charges at the following location!" shouted Coby as his crew prepared the weapons.

„Fire!"

From hundreds of ships depth charges were launched into the sea, at the coordinates given to them. Soon after that large geyser's of water, blood and flesh exploded in the air.

Helmeppo whistled „What did they put in there? Those are not normal ASW's."

Coby nodded „Were probably designed to fight the Hunter instead of submarines."

Cybrus was a rarity in the world. Normally fishmen didn't enlist in the Marines, preferring to stay at home and serve their king and country. But as a child he saw to many times how the royal army was defeated by pirates, the scum of the sea pillaging his people's homes and taking their lives.

True, things became somewhat normal when Whitebeard took over but that wasn't a solution. As shown at Marineford, when peace depended on a single person, than that peace is a fragile and short-lived thing.

But the Marines were different. It was a system where even if people died, new ones simply took their place. It was through service to the government that he saw a brighter future for his homeland.

He will rise in rank, be as powerful as he could be and declare himself the protector of Fishman Island. When people see that his method can work, more young fishmen will do the same. Enlist, excel, protect!

And it was he who was first to engage the mutants that were advancing on the Marine ships.

Utilizing his fishman karate he struck the monster in quick succession, the thing staggered under the Vice-Admiral's flurry of blows. Though the beast was strong, it was nowhere near as fast in water as a fishman.

But he also noticed that the beasts were advancing through the barrage of lasers fired by the Pacifista protecting the ships.

Seven simultaneous hits were needed to destroy one of the monsters, and though Cybrus wasn't a pessimist he did notice that the beasts were edging closer to the cyborgs.

Using his Mizungokoro technique he blasted the monsters away from the line of humanoid weapons. The creatures though pushed back were far from defeated.

„This is Vice-Admiral Cybrus I need more Pacifista to hold the line against the monsters" said the fishman into the den den mushi on his wristband.

„Acknowledged" was the response and a few moments later more of the large shapes entered the sea, taking position beside the other models, adding their lasers to the defense line.

Cybrus nodded and rushed to engage another beast.

The Fleet-Admiral listened to the reports he was given by the communications officer. So far the battle was going in their favor. The Pacifista have foiled the underwater assault, now the only threat was the Hunter himself...cut off the snakes neck and the body will die mused Sakazuki as he used his Ryusei Kazan technique to rain down magma on the Hunter.

Regrettably the criminal evaded them all using Soru. Seeing as how his attack wasn't having much of an effect the Fleet-Admiral decided to change tactics.

„Kizaru, bring him down" was Akainu's order.

Mercer felt one of Kizaru's lasers hit him before he saw the attack coming. Fortunately his defenses resisted the hit.

„Ohhhh impresiveee" came a mocking voice from behind him.

Before Alex could turn around a kick from Kizaru had him shooting into the water at high-speed, only to be intercepted by the Admiral before he hit the sea and was kicked again, this time right into Akainu's path.

And the Fleet-Admiral was ready for him.

Mercer managed to stop his trajectory with Shiki's power but was already to close. A colossal hand formed from magma snatched him midair. He felt his carbon strengthened armor slowly evaporate, even with him consuming gasses and dust particles from the air to reform his lost biomass he knew that this was only postponing the inevitable.

It didn't take long for Borsalino to appear on the Fleet-Admirals ship with his Yata no Kagami.

„Ohhh good cacheeee" drawled out the Admiral.

Akainu ignored Kizaru as he focused on the armored figure in his hand. The fact that the Hunter was still alive even almost completely submerged in magma like this managed to push the Fleet-Admiral's annoyance level a few notches up.

But when all is said and done, he had him!

„Look's like your arrogance got the better of you" commented Sakazuki, glaring directly into the black helmet hiding the Hunter's face. „Did you really think that you could stand against the world? Against justice?"

The figure remained silent.

„Nothing to say? If you believe that your monster's will save you then you are a fool" said Akainu as he turned his hand, giving Alex a good look on the sea. Crimson blood and pieces of flesh floated as far as the eye could see, a burned off appendage here or there being the biggest piece. Testament to the devastation unleashed by the Marine battleships and the Pacifista upon the infected „Your monsters have failed, they are dwindling by the second while only one of our ships was sunk. You lost."

It was in that moment that the Hunter chuckled.

Akainu scowled, he expected fear, defiance but not amusement „Do you think this is funny criminal?"

„Indeed" was Mercer's response, his voice monotone and cold as ice „you see I have something you don't."

Borsalino glanced at Sakazuki with a blank stare.

„And that would be?" inquired the magma user, clearly not placing too much trust in the Hunter's words.

„I have reserves"

Cybrus slammed his fist against the supreme hunter's head. The beast staggered back, but only for a second, it retaliated with his bladed appendage but was to slow to hit the nimble fishman. The Vice-Admiral dodged and landed several more hit's with his martial art's before laser's removed the things torso from the rest of the body, leaving the bloodied, mangled parts to be washed away by the current.

The fishman noted that the beasts have sustained considerable losses from the laser barrage and the underwater explosives.

The monsters who survived were keeping their distance for now, obviously seeing that their frontal charges were doing nothing besides depleting their numbers.

They were finished, whether they knew it or not.

„Pacifista! Form a line and advance at the remaining beasts!" said the Vice-Admiral. The cyborgs advanced on the monsters who looked confused at what they should be doing.

Cybrus saw that some of the monsters decided that attack was the best option while the rest retreated before the cyborgs. It was then that he sensed something else in the water.

The fishman stared into the darkness under him...a Sea King?

That was the last thought as a colossal shape shot up, swallowing the Marine whole. The infected Sea King then focused on the unprotected ship's on the surface. And it wasn't alone...

One after another the infected sea creatures went after the unsuspecting prey. Because Cybrus was the only one with a den den mushi, no warnings could be given to the remaining humans and even the Pacifista were out of range to warn or defend the vessels.

If one could see through the dark sea with clarity, he would see the stuff from which nightmares were made from.

Grotesque mouth's, some eighty meters in diameter filled with diamond hard curved teeth going apparently from its mouth down to its stomach. Pincers, fangs, razor sharp fins and many more.

The sea was a dark, cold and mysterious place but when one adds Blacklight into the mix it becomes so much more.

Garp was standing on his ship, arms crossed. It was to easy...he dint like it when thing were this easy against someone like the Hunter...did I read too much into his intelligence? Perhaps Sakazuki was right and the man was simply a coward and not really smart.

Would a smart person waste all his forces in useless frontal assaults trusting in nothing else than their strength and durability? Looking at the Fleet-Admirals ship „or get captured so easily? Even Shiki made us work more..."

It was in that moment that a marine ship disappeared. In its place was probably the worlds ugliest Sea King, and he has seen enough to be a good judge of their look's.

And that was only the appetizer, when the colossal body of the thing fell down into the sea it pulled down two more ships under its 400m long body.

The waves caused by the monstrosity broke the Marine formation's making a few of the vessels to crash into each other.

„Ahhh IT'S A TRAP!" shouted Garp.

From all around him marines that were holding for anything that would save them from falling into the sea responded in kind „WE NOTICED!"

Akainu braced himself as a mutated sea serpent crashed into his ship, making many a sailor fall into the sea. The monsters opened it pincers to reveal a horror show of teeth. A human arm still stuck on a very sharp tooth.

Akainu cringed from the stench coming from the monsters mouth, human parts falling on the deck as the thing slammed in the ships forward mast, easily breaking it in two.

„Scaryyy" drawled Kizaru as he raised his finger to the monster and fired multiple shots at it. The lasers easily pierced the large but unarmored creature, but its size made such small wounds nothing more than a nuisance.

Seeing how he will have to put a little bit more effort in, the Admiral launched a large laser beam from his leg, blasting the entire upper part of the creature to small bloody bits.

The remaining part of the infected sea serpent fell into the water, its remains convulsed and spasamed before expiring.

The Fleet-Admiral growled at his prisoner „This won't save you"

The lack of response from the Hunter infuriated him only more.

So focused was he on the Hunter that he almost didn't notice when Kizaru taped his shoulder.

„What?" came Akainu's irritable reply.

„It look's like the Sea King's have broken our formationnnn also our retreat path has been cut off...we are surroundedddd"

Even as Borsalino finished his sentence a razor-sharp back fin cut through his flagship, separating it into two.

„Where are those damned Pacifista?!" raged Sakazuki, even as he made sure that he didn't fall overboard.

Mercer silently listened how the Marines were caught off guard. As soon as the Pacifista started to swim back to the ship's, he telepathically ordered the remains of his supreme hunter army to engage them, making sure that they either held their ground, leaving the ship's defenseless, or they rushed to the ship's allowing his supreme hunters to advance and shred them from behind.

And the Pacifista, machines with no sense of self-preservation, chose the second option. They rushed to protect their superiors irrelevant of loses. Tactically it was a huge mistake, and the supreme hunters exploited it as they cut down the enemy when their back's were turned.

In the end the cyborgs neither saved the ships nor themselves.

And he still had one last ace in his sleeve...

Coby watched in horror as ship's disappeared one after another. Crushed under the size of the Sea King's or in some cases swallowed whole.

It was then that he sensed another danger.

A large grotesque hand appeared and pulled a humanoid monstrosity on his ship.

It roared and charged his soldiers. The marines fired their bazooka's at the thing, but it barely registered the attack, with one swipe of its blade like appendage the brave marines were bisected, their blood and entrails staining the ship's deck.

Coby immediately attacked it with rankyaku, sending one wind blade after another at the resilient foe.

Although it didn't kill the monster it did divert its attention from his crew. Helmeppo tried to flank it with his kukri but was forced to retreat since his attack were completely ineffective.

Even with his crew releasing a barrage of bazookas on the things exposed back, the monster was still focused on him.

Coby dodged another swipe of the monster's blade arm, landing to his left and immediately sending a few more air blades at the thing. The short battle already inflicted heavy damage on his ship, and a glance told him that it wasn't any better for the other marine vessels.

From what he could see his former instructor was the only truly successful in combating the enemy.

Garp slammed his gigantic iron ball at the colossal Sea King that threatened his ship, sending the beast flying.

He pulled on the chain, making the weapon shift in mid-air and hit another of the mutated sea creatures.

But even as two of the creatures fell in the sea, more monsters appeared to assault them.

We have to retreat though Coby as he used soru to escape the beast that tried to corner him. He almost made it...

On over-sized hand managed to grab him by the leg, and the next second he found himself slammed down on the ship. The deck broke under the impact and he felt blood run down his head.

His men attempted to help their captain but found themselves horribly outmatched as the monster disemboweled them or launched them into the water.

Coby tried to stand up through the dizziness, but a large deformed foot ended that when it stepped on his arm.

„ARGHHHH!" the boy screamed as the weight of the thing crushed the bones in his limb.

„Coby!" came Helmeppo's angry shout as he jumped on the things back, and stabbed his kukri in the monsters eye's.

The supreme hunter roared in rage and turned to the blond man that was quickly retreating.

Okay, my stunt worked..but what do I do now?! panicked Helmeppo as the thing rushed behind him, probably following through sound or smell.

The he came to a dead end...he reached the front of the vessel and the only way of was to jump in the water or use soru and escape by air...let's see the water is full of monster and I can't use soru ...well, crap...

The blond gulped and prepared for his last stand against the approaching monstrosity.

„Lieutenant-Commander! Get down!" came a shout from a few of the soldiers that were manning the ship's frontal batteries.

Having no way out he jumped off the ship's side but grabbed the edge of the vessel so he didn't fall into the sea.

Then the big guns fired. The underwater charges launched collided with the supreme hunter sending it overboard.

Helmeppo swung himself back on deck and watched as a large geyser of water shot in the air, hopefully ending the things existence.

But he had no time to think about that, he made haste to his friends side. The surviving marines already helping to put him on a stretcher.

Coby's left arm already had taken a purplish color, and was bleeding in places where bone fragments pierced his flesh and skin.

„Man, you sure love the hospital" Helmeppo said with a strained smile „I know you like the nurses fussing over you, but you should take it easy."

Coby managed to grin even through the agony „Y-your just jealous you don't get paid time off" than the smile dropped „Helmeppo, you have to get the ship out of here...I'm sorry that I brought this upon you, I shouldn't have volunteered for this undertaking."

„We are marines Coby, we have joined so we can protect those that can't protect themselves" said his second in command „even if we had to do it all over again, we would. To stop the Hunter we all have to do our best, what do you say men?"

The marines steeled their nerves „If our life or death will keep the women and children of this world safe from criminals, we are ready to follow you to hell" said one of them, and the rest responded to that with cheers and rattling sabers.

The response astonished the young captain, the loyalty of his crew driving him to tears though he managed to hold it in „My order still stand, this is a lost battle. We should retreat so we can fight another day."

„What about the Fleet-Admiral?" said Helmeppo worriedly.

„I will take responsibility."

„Sakazuki we have to retreat!" growled Sengoku as he glared at the Hunter „If this continues we will lose too many ships and soldiers to control the sea's!"

Akainu though about it and concluded that his former superior was correct...no matter how much he hated to do so „Very well, as long as the Hunter is in our hands this battle is a victory."

„All ship's! We have captured the Hunter! Retreat to the Gate of Justice!" said Akainu in his den den mushi before directing his attention on Borsalino „Kizaru clean up a retreat path then you will serve as our rear guard, make sure those things don't follow us."

The Admiral nodded and immediately went to work.

Refocusing back on the Hunter Akainu had to admit that the trap was a decent one, not that he would openly praise a murderer for being smart.

Alex watched as the marine ship's turned around and made their way to the Gate of Justice. Since the Fleet-Admiral's vessel was critically damaged and sinking fast, the marines quickly jumped ship onto another one.

But when Akainu was jumping across, he was caught by a torrent of water that shot up.

His strength negated by the sea, the grip he had on Alex disappeared.

„Sakazuki!" shouted Sengoku as the Fleet-Admiral was dragged into the sea.

Holding his breath Akainu could only helplessly glare at the Hunter's armored figure as it rocketed in his direction, one of it's arms morphing into a vicious blade.

But again luck was on his side...

In the nick of time Vice-Admiral Momonga jumped into the water and blocked the Hunter's weapon with his own haki strengthened blade.

„You are in the way" came the Hunters distorted voice „Akainu and I have unfinished business" and released a powerful sonic shout with the Goe Goe fruit ability. Momonga could have evaded the attack, but if he did that then the disabled Akainu would have received the full force of it.

So he stood his ground. The man kicked his superior not to gently out of the water, even as he exposed his back to Mercer's attack. The beam connected, breaking the human's bones and irreversibly damaging his internal organs.

Momonga floated in the sea, unable to move as his blood escaped in the water.

Though injured the Vice-Admiral was still alive...for now. In his eye's one could see defiance to death, to the Hunter and loyalty to the human race.

He was ready to resist evil to the bitter end.

Then a whipfist made sure that the man wont interfere ever again.

Looking at the retreating ships and the laser show made by Borsalino, Alex decided that it was time for his last trump card...when an enemy turn's you his back, then fast, light units were excellent to turn a retreat into a rout.

Perhaps he could have used all his infected in one crushing blow, but he preferred to have a lot of reserves to exploit opportunities that presented themselves in the chaos of the battlefield. There are to many way's for entire armies to be eradicated in a blink of an eye making it unsafe to keep them all in one place.

The infected Sea King's he brought with him to Impel Down he hid on the sea floor, while the Parasites were stationed high in the sky, hiding in or impersonating a cloud and giving him very useful information.

The first warning the marines received was that the sky darkened...

Most though that it was simply a rain cloud, but it went to fast for a natural phenomenon, especially when it changed directions abruptly. Going against the wind was not something clouds did.

Then it came down.

Thousands of dragonfly like giant insects assaulted the retreating ship's, swarming the crew on deck, their short stingers piercing human flesh and deposited eggs inside their now paralyzed victim's.

In a few hours the eggs will turn to larvae that will eat the host from inside before the body bursts into more parasitic insects.

Fortunately for the marines, the infected flyers were fast but also fragile and were easily shot down even with normal gun's.

Mercer floated out of the water, and as he gained altitude he could see the whole battlefield. Ninety two ship's were now in full retreat from his infected, who were assaulting them from both sea and air.

He saw that again Kizaru was doing the most damage with his laser's, though Akainu was better at taking out approaching Sea King's since his attacks didn't have the speed of his subordinate.

Might as well do something myself...he gathered his biomass and released a large tendril barrage devastator from his airborne position.

The carbon and haki hardened biomass spikes impaled ship's, soldier's and infected alike. And since he was in contact with the vessels, he utilized Shiki's power to float them in the air.

Ship's started to rise in the sky before they rocketed toward the retreating marries.

They would have even connected if once again a certain Admiral didn't interfere.

Well, he is the rear guard...mused Zeus as he formed his fists in hammer's and accelerated towards the Admiral's ship.

„Ohhhh this is badddd" said Kizaru as he released a laser barrage at the kamikaze attack. Regrettably, his attack failed to slow or redirect the Hunter's dive.

The haki imbued hammer fist's shredded the rear of the Admiral's ship, the shock-wave from the impact sending debris and sailor's flying in all directions. Most-likely to be eaten by Sea King's or stung by the parasites.

The dust didn't even settle down before the levitating Mercer was kicked repeatedly by Borsalino, most notably he felt that the Admiral's light sword's managed to cut rather deep in his neck. Truly unpleasant that...

He retaliated with shock waves of his own, but the speed difference was to great. The only thing keeping Borsalino still here was only the large, and still growing distance from the retreating fleet, now barely visible on the horizon.

„That is impressive" said Mercer when Kizaru finally stopped to move around...and that was only because as the ship was sinking the marine decided to take some distance between himself and the water.

„Ahhh this is problematic..." drawled Kizaru as he watched the deck get more and more submerged.

Mercer used the Admiral's distraction to slow him down, before slamming his hammerfist's into the logia.

The hit made Borsalino break through the deck and land into a large cargo room below. With a splash the Admiral fell into the water.

Ohhh from the frying pannnnn...though the Admiral as he grabbed one of the crates and tried to pull himself out of the sea water. It was not easy, his strength was practically gone and his submerged body parts couldn't even move.

Got to hurry...though Kizaru. He managed to stand up in the waist-high water, but was still too weak to use his powers.

Looking around for something he could use he spotted a lot of guns and bullets all around him.

The ship's weapon's magazine? Though most would consider this a lucky break, the fact of the matter was that none of these weapons were any danger to his opponent.

Then his eyes stopped on particular group of crates...ohhh didn't I return those? Whooopsiii...although its exactly what I needed.

He took one of the guns from the wall and attempted to hit the crates, though it wasn't easy using a gun with only one arm in his weakened state.

Then a splash alerted him that the Hunter has probably jumped down to finish him off.

„When a fight is just plain wrong, we all sing the-" Alex hummed as he stabbed the Admiral through the back with his haki strengthened claws. It was difficult to consider this a battle since it went more or less how Alex expected it, what else could the government do? They couldn't ignore him, and fighting him requires their best, and their best were in more danger from the environment than from his power. This would have never worked if the battlefield wasn't stacked hugely to his advantage, but then again that was the plan...

Kizaru grunted as he saw black blades stick through his chest, blood disappearing into them instead of dripping in the water. He only managed to crack the containers, but he couldn't finish his work as he was lifted from his feet and found himself face to face with the Hunter.

„Fascinating don't you think?" came the cold, emotionless voice of his opponent „Devil Fruit's are such powerful item's...and still their greatest weakness is water, one of the most common compounds in the universe, especially on this world."

Kizaru felt his body dissolve, bit by bit as the Hunter's tendrils consumed his flesh.

„Then again, perhaps nature simply wanted to balance you out with normal people" mussed Mercer as the human was completely consumed, Kizaru's power and memories finding their place amongst the ten's of thousand's he already consumed.

„Dr. Asul...interesting" mused Mercer as he checked the former Admiral's memories So the Fleet Admiral know's what I am, regrettable but expected.

It was then that he found another, more recent memory. Mercer's head quickly turned to the crates...but it was already too late.

There was no more time to run.

Through the cracks in the container oxygen started to enter and when it made contact with the confiscated devices the world exploded...with Mercer in the front seat. The dozens of Dyna Stone's taken from Zephyr's crusade of vengeance, stored and forgotten on Kizaru's ship turned the sea into an infernal blaze.

Garp made another swing at a sea monster battering it aside with his ball and chain, sweat was dripping down his forehead as he made sure to protect the fleets right-flank. His crewman fired their gun's at the cursed buzzards that were attacking them, one almost reached him before a precise shot made the bug burst into pieces.

It was through pure luck that the giant iron ball and chain were directly behind his ship when the world exploded. His weapon shielded the vessel from the shock and the heat but ended ¾ melted away.

Not that the ship escaped largely undamaged, its sails were nothing but ash, the ships plating hot enough to burn ones hand on contact, and many a soldier that stayed on deck (at least those who didn't know either haki or tekkai and had it at the moment in use) suffered second and third degree burns.

Others were not that fortunate.

Those ships that were unshielded or closer even by a few meters but not inside the actual blast radius were deformed from the melting metal. Their crews either carbonized or if inside expired from fourth degree burns.

It happened in an instant.

One minute Akainu was launching magma fists at the pursuing sea monsters, while Sengoku cleared the sky with precisely launched shock waves. The next moment, the world was drowned in flames.

The explosion expanded, engulfing the infected and marine ship's alike. A wall of expanding pressure and heat carbonizing and pulverizing everything in its path until only a sea of steam and a pillar of flame remained.

„That was a Dyna Stone explosion..." said the shocked Sengoku. How would he not be, from almost two hundred marine ship's only thirty remained. Ten's of thousands never to return home, not even a body to be buried...

Damn it Kizaru! raged Akainu though he was also thrilled. One glance at the few remaining disorganized flyers and sea monsters was enough to confirm that the Hunter was close to the blast.

Even when they were attacked the monsters were unsure how to respond, sometimes even attacking other of their kind when they got to close.

This was an opportunity to salvage the situation. Akainu took his den den mushi and inhaled „Marines! The enemy is defeated! Their numbers are depleted and the death of the Hunter has left those few remaining disorganized! Let's remove the filth from our sea's! FOR JUSTICE!"

„FOR JUSTICE!" came the chorus of replies from the hardened marines, their moral strengthen and their numerical advantage now again in play.

The location, 50 miles in radius burned as a gigantic torch, the infernal spectacle rising high into the sky, turning the day into night from the ash and smoke, before coming down as black rain.

„How could this happen!" hissed Sengoku „This is a catastrophe!"

Akainu nodded and hoped that by some miracle the explosion was enough to remove any trace of the Hunter. This battle showed him more than anything how dangerous the thing was, it's power practically doubled from their first encounter.

Sakazuki raised his hand, the same hand that captured the criminal...the same hand that when covered with magma failed to dispatch his foe...even if I made the speech to raise morale, I truly hope this is the end of the virus.

Once more the World Government stood victoriously on the battlefield, though at a heavy price.

A/N:

Some people will probably argue that Kizaru went down to easily...I'm inclined to agree, but since giving Mercer CoO haki now would mess up some things, and Kizaru's speed advantage was too much for Alex under normal conditions...unless Kizaru cant utilize his speed, in that case he is powerless against Alex.

PS: The Dyna Stone explosion was stronger than a normal (the small one from the game) nuke (more Dyna stones, and Mercer was closer to the blast than in the game). The explosion would be somehow equal to the explosion of the hydrogen bomb in operation Castle Bravo.

Someone mentioned that the Parasite idea was cliche, I personally know only three things like that (SG-1, parasitic Wasp's and botfly's).
