DISCLAIMER: Hey again. I am sorry for the wait; my life has not been cooperating with me. Neither has the internet for that matter. Thank you so much for your reviews, they make life so much better (Smile).
Mercy tapped her feet impatiently as she waited at the place both her and Faith had agreed upon as their meeting point.
"What the heck is taking her so long? I found a stupid non-existent rubber duck for goodness sake! Nothing on her list could be as hard to find as that." She sighed in aggravation. She had been waiting about 30min for Faith, but there was still no sign of her. Through her annoyance, Mercy started to feel slightly uneasy.
'Maybe I should look for her? She's probably just having a hard time finding everything, or perhaps she's lost? Either way I should probably find her. I don't want to be here any longer then we have to be.' Mercy sorted out her thoughts comfortably before heading out in search for Faith.
(Faith)
Faith remained still and silent as they threw her into the backseat of a van. At least she assumed it was a van; there was no way of being sure because she was blindfolded.
"Comfortable? Good." Sneered Ms. Yuri. Faith rolled around, trying to push herself up in a sitting position. That proved to be a rather difficult obstacle with her hands being tied and all.
"Aunt, what are you planning to do with her? This is wrong! You can't kidnap someone like that!" Pleaded Daichi from outside.
"For the last time, shut up! If I knew you were going to be this much trouble, I would have just locked you up in the closet." She yelled back at him. He fell silent and Faith felt her heart reach out towards him. She might be tied up, gagged, and stuffed in the back of a psychos van, but he had it worse. He was actually related to this psychopath.
"Now go and don't disappoint me." She ordered.
"Y-yes ma'am." He whispered in defeat. Faith listened to his footsteps until they had gotten quiet enough to disappear.
"Now, to deal with you. It's such a shame; my clean car had to be tainted by a roach like you sitting in the back. I guess there was no other choice. If you had just been a good girl and disappeared, I wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. I even sent a person to run you over, but that stupid boy had to push you out of the way." She scoffed. Faiths head snapped as she processed what had just been said.
'It was her! It was her fault Kaoru got run over!' Faith felt herself explode with rage. Getting kidnapped and hit was something she could deal with, but there was no way she could ever forgive anyone who ran over her friend…or whoever Kaoru was to her.
"Ygu Phcyo! Hhw Drae ysu rjn oevr Hsm! Jhfu ufh jhbfuefbfhebgfyidgfh wufiuwgf qhrgbf!" Faith went ballistic. She struggled and fought with everything she had inside her.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing? Don't just stand there! Do something before she breaks free!" Ms. Yuri yelled. Suddenly, Faith was thrown face-first into the car door and was held against it tightly. By the grip of the person holding her still, she knew it was Ms. Yuri's goon. The same goon that got her from behind and tied her up. He stuck around 20 layers of duck tape on her already-tied-hands and did the same to her feet. Now there was absolutely no way that she could escape.
"Aghhh." Faith groaned. He couldn't have done a better job cutting of her circulation if he had used a tourniquet.
"There we go. That's better." Ms. Yuri said satisfied. "Now let's get going. That idiot Daichi won't be able to stall the other girl from much longer." Ms. Yuri got into the car and closed the door. Faith heard the roar of the engine and the next thing she knew, she was being taken away into a terrifying unknown.
'I am in so much trouble.'
(Mercy)
Mercy had been walking for who-knows-how-long. Her feet were starting to get sore and her tensions began to rise.
'Where the heck could she be?' She thought to herself in frustration. Mercy had gone into every single store and shop that she passed, just in case Faith was hiding out in one of them. A while, Mercy was about to give up and take a break when she noticed something.
"Hey! Daichi!" She said, running up to him.
"O-oh. H-hey M-mercy." He stuttered. For some reason he seemed nervous.
"You alright?"
"Y-ya. I'm fine. Really." He smiled weakly.
"Um, alright. Hey, did you find what you were looking for?" She asked.
"….Ya. I found it." His head drooped a little and his eyes were glued on his shoes. Mercy tried to ignore his odd attitude.
"By the way, you haven't seen Faith around have you? I have been looking everywhere for her. She was suppose to meet up with me an hour or so ago." Mercy sighed. She thought she noticed him flinch, but decided that she was just imagining things.
"No. I am afraid I haven't…I can help you look though." He offered. Mercy smiled.
"If you wouldn't mind, that would be great. That girl is just too much to handle sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if she got herself kidnapped or something." Mercy sighed. Daichi didn't respond.
"So what have you been up too?" Mercy asked in an attempt to fill the silence.
"N-nothing much. How about you?"
"Pretty good. I have given up any hope in getting rid of the host club though."
"Are they giving you trouble? You just have to hang in there; they are actually pretty okay people."
"I am passed the point of caring. I'm done, I have completely lost faith." She paused. "The irony in that is actually painful."
"ha..Don't worry. I'm sure you will find her soon." He said with a plastered smile.
(Faith)
Faith woke up feeling stiff and sore all over. When she came to her senses, she immediately tensed up as the memories came back to her. The last thing she remembered was Ms. Yuri yelling at her to be quiet then telling the goon to do something about it, feeling something hard hit her in the back of the head, then waking up here. She was still tied up, gagged, and blindfolded. Faith rolled over uncomfortably. From what she could tell, she was lying on a very cold, dirty floor. She thrashed and fidgeted until she somehow managed to get the blindfold to fall off. It took a moment for Faith's eyes to adjust to the dim light, but the sight made her wish that she had never removed the blindfold. She was in what looked like an old cellar or a cracked cement room.
'Oh dear gosh, where am I?' She asked herself in terror. There were cobwebs and bug bodies everywhere. Mold was growing on almost everything in sight and suspicious looking red stains were randomly sprinkled across the floor. There wasn't a window; only a flickering light to help her see. Faith spotted the door and did her best to roll over to it. It was wooden and looked like just brushing against it would give anyone 1000 splinters. The gag had loosened itself enough for her to spit it out of her mouth. Now it hung loosely around her neck. She rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling for a while, as she let the seriousness of the situation dawn on her. It wasn't a dream or a joke…..maybe it was a joke. A cruel one. That was it; her life was nothing but an unfunny joke.
'Are you happy now? Laughing even? Is this what you wanted? Is this what you wanted!' She screamed. She thought that maybe things could go differently and she could move on from everything in her life. It was painful to stare in the empty room, knowing that her future was as dead as the past. She felt stupid for ever believing things could change. That she could change. All she managed to do was drag Mercy and now even the others into this mess with her. Not allowed to smile, laugh, live, breathe, run, hide, change, feel, or even die, what was the purpose of her life?
"I-I am done." She whispered to herself. Her voice was frail and lifeless, just like she was. "I hope I've made you proud. Running and fighting. Hiding and screaming. Do I live up to the name? Or am I still just a failure? All because I didn't wasn't to pull a trigger…..Well I am done now. I have tried to live with you, by you, for you, but now I am done. I am nothing like you…..I-I hate you." Her breath caught and her throat burned as the last part of her heart broke. "I HATE YOU!" She screamed again. Her voice got trapped in an echo that the room bounced around on replay. Every time she heard it, she felt herself go numb. An image of Mercy flickered through her mind. She was smiling and waving at her. Faith turned her head with a blank expression and hollow eyes. The last image of Mercy smiling passed through her mind before slowly fading away, along with the last shred of light.
