Same time in the New World:
The smell of gunpowder saturated the air as guns of all sizes thundered left and right...
"W-What are you staring at!" growled a pirate "Stop them before they reach the captain!"
He didn't get to say another word as a beautiful red haired woman with a blank expression punched her arm through his skull, the pirates brain and bone fragments falling down her fist.
Seeing that the other ten pirates tried to escape but were bisected when the agent used her rokushiki to launch a powerful wind blade that cut right through the pirates and even the mountain in front of them.
The red haired woman then stopped to observe her surroundings...or rather the pile of mutilated body's she created in 0.67 seconds.
She was soon joined by a man with short red hair that somewhat resembled her own.
"Are you done playing around?" asked the man in a monotone voice.
"They attacked first, I simply defended myself" was her answer.
"They couldn't have harmed you even if you did nothing. Anyway I'm more annoyed that you took so long to finish them all off, that could have been over a long time ago."
"It wasn't necessary to use any more power against them" she replied.
The red haired man could only scowl at her words before he focused on the ship in front of them. Without a word the two started to walk towards it once more...
The vessel belonged to none other than the infamous Super Nova – Basil Hawkins.
The 'Magician' watched impassively as the two assailants walked onto his ship, blood dripping from their hands.
One of his pirates rushed the duo and was rewarded by a hand piercing through his torso.
"Captain we cant stop them!" screamed his unfortunate subordinate as he crawled towards him, the gut wound guarantying that he wont outlive this day...and that it will be a very painful, slow end.
The duo stepped in front of him "You are Captain Hawkins" stated the man in a monotone voice "we would like to acquire some information."
The blond pirate shifted his gaze from their faces back onto his cards, he then shuffled his deck and pulled out four cards.
Seems I wont die this day, but my chances of victory here are zero...how strong are these two? Mused the pirate as he finally looked back at the duo that was patiently waiting for him. It seems I will need to get a few more subordinates if I'm going to fight against Red Haired Shanks. These newcomers certainly did mess up our plans...
"What do you want to know?" he inquired finally.
"The location of the Hunter" answered the man.
...that one is easy thought the pirate.
"He is currently in Mariejois."
"...you didn't look into your cards, how can you be certain?" interjected the woman.
"I check on his whereabouts everyday, I assure you he is in Mariejois" he then pulled a few more cards "and it seems to me you have to find yourself new employers."
Before any of the two Cipher Pol agents could ask what he meant by that he showed them his last card. A skeleton with a scythe...
A few hours before that...
The huge Tenryuubito ship entered the docks with little fanfare, at least by Celestial Dragon standards. Rows upon rows of slaves were waiting for the arrival of Saint Mjosgrad from his journey.
As soon as the vessel stopped, the slaves dropped down to their knees as their master was carried out on a large, comfy, golden litter.
Except the surrounding Cipher Pol agents that maintained the security of Mariejois, everyone's face was plastered to the ground, figuratively speaking of course...well, except that one time...
The 'slaves' carried the litter over the ramp and began their ascent to the most noble structure on the face of this world. It would take a whole day of climbing but it wasn't like Saint Mjosgard did the work himself, instead the Celestial Dragon took his whip and hit the slaves on their back "Lazy bums, go faster!"
As commanded the carriers increased their speed a little, it would be hard to explain if they started to sprint or run along the walls of the Red Line...
The slaves behind them did likewise as they carried a large aquarium and other souvenirs their master obtained on his journey.
The whole ordeal took twelve hours but the procession of decadence finally reached the entrance to the most sacred ground that ever existed.
On both sides of them stood armored guards holding spears, always vigilant and ready to give their lives for the gods that resided in the luxurious building.
The large doors swung open and Saint Mjosgard and his slaves entered Mariejois.
"Bring the souvenirs to my room" ordered the puppet as it turned to his personal cooks "and you get down to the kitchen, help out with preparing dinner or something."
The 'servants' instantly scattered to do their tasks as Saint Mjosgard walked toward the common area where other Celestial Dragons were located...he had to brag about the mermaid he bough to Saint Charloss.
As the puppet disappeared from sight so did Mercer, Brigid and the rest make their way to the kitchen area.
"Are you sure the pathogen will work? I know we tested it on people already but these are CP0 agents we are talking about" silently inquired one of the Evolved masquerading as a cook.
"Positive, their constitution is perhaps superior to normal humans but wont pose too much of a problem. The bacteria will work" Mercer assured him.
"We could have done a few tests on the CP2 agents from the ship if you didn't insist that we eliminate them immediately" complained Brigid.
"And I told you that keeping them alive was a unnecessary risk, besides there's a huge gap in power between CP2 and CP0 so the results wouldn't be as precise as you think" countered Alex.
"Fine, have it your way" she said "too bad we couldn't have made the bacteria airborne, would have spared us all the effort of sneaking into this place."
"True...but the Tenryuubito paranoia gave us no choice, their absurd attire makes such attacks more difficult than ingestion. In any case the days of the Celestial Dragons are numbered."
