Like Breaking Waves
Like breaking waves on a twilight beach
Your face shines in my head like the moon on the blue water
Ever since I met you, I knew you were good
But thoughts crept in
Spoiling my mind
You were always there
But the visions were unclear
Your face broke into a million pieces
As did I
When I knew you were visiting that horrible hell
Training to kill
But love is stronger than death
You were there
You were always there
It was you and I
Right from the beginning
When the first wave broke
On the beach
I saw you in the water
I was the moon
Shining on your face
Lighting it up with my glow
Filling your heart with warmth
You stole my heart that day
With the way your heartbeat
Sounded like breaking waves
Breaking my heart into pieces
Making me vulnerable
To your ways
But our hearts beat as one
And someday
The Clans will
But for now
It's just you and me
Forbidden to meet
Forced to meet in secret
Deceiving
Breaking
Dodging
Swirling thoughts fill my head and make it hard to tell
What's the truth and what's lies
But I know one thing
You're not a lie
