Loke raced down the corridors, his head shooting from side to side.

"Natsu?" he called, his voice sounding breathless

The slayer ran out into the cold, tears blurred his vision; he sniffed and looked around hearing Loke's voice. He raced away faster, he didn't want to hear what Loke had to say, all he could think of was Gray.

I'm sorry Gray, I'm sorry

His thoughts repeated over and over

Please, please don't leave me…I-I didn't mean to kiss him

Natsu fell forward into the mud, his hands out in front of him as he landed. He sobbed, his breathing hitched as he lay on all fours.

Loke came racing around the corner, seeing the slayer crying into the muddy grass. His tears were still visible but he had ignored them, thinking only of Natsu. He slowly approached the slayer; he called the teen's name. Natsu's head spun around, his eyes were red from all the crying he had done, he went to stand and run away but Loke dived at him.

The pair both fell down into the damp earth, Loke had his arms around Natsu's waist, the slayer kicked and screamed.

"Let go of meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, p-please, l-let me go" he sobbed

"No, I can't, I can't let you go" Loke spoke in a quiet voice, he held on tighter to the slayer

Natsu's body went limp, he gasped for air as he cried louder. Loke pulled the teen closer to him; he rested his head on Natsu's back.

"I don't w-want you to hate me" he began

Natsu's head was resting in the mud; he opened his eyes as he realized Loke was also crying, he became quite, his tears pausing for a moment as he listened to Loke.

"I just wanted you to know that I love you, I-I've loved you for ages but never had the courage to tell you, I never thought you'd be interested in someone like me. I suppose I was right"

Loke fell silent for a moment; Natsu turned his head a little, a single tear slipping from his eye.

"Seeing you with Gray upset me, I was angry with myself for not confessing sooner. Cause now I won't ever have you, I-I thought if I told you, things might change but now I see it won't. Y-You love Gray, not me….you'll never love me"

Natsu turned and looked at his friend; Loke's eyes were filled with tears. Natsu had never seen the teen like this before.

"Your right, I do love Gray, more than anything in this world but-but you will always be my best friend, no one can ever take your place"

Loke smiled, feeling a little comfort from the slayers words, his heart may not accept that Natsu could never love him more than a friend but he was just happy that the boy didn't hate him.

The slayer snuggled into Loke's arms, resting his head on other's chest.

"I don't know how to tell Gray about his, w-what if he leaves me" Natsu spoke aloud about his worry

"He won't leave you" Loke smiled, hugging Natsu

"He doesn't need to know, it was me who kissed you, you never kissed me back so you didn't do anything wrong. It would be pointless to make him worry about something that will never be more than a silly mistake" Loke looked down at Natsu

The slayer lifted his head up, his lips curled a little.

"I suppose your right" he agreed

A/N: Awwwie…! I never really shipped Loke and Natsu until I started writing this xD
