Chapter 4

Tonight is the night I make my big escape with Siva and the other refugees. I was in the kitchen washing some dishes, as I tried to think over in my head how exactly I was going to escape. I know he's heavy sleeper but apparently he can hear my every move no mater how quiet I am. He comes back pretty late from duties though so I'll have to leave before he comes back. "Chi-Chi," Kakarot called pulling me out of my thoughts.

I peaked through the kitchen threshold just to make sure he really called my name. "Come here."

"..."

"We're going into the city again today for the crowning ceremony."

Going into the city this works out better for me. "What's the crowning ceremony for?"

"The Prince is becoming King today, which means that I also get promoted as well. Since the ceremony is supposed to run late into the night I'm taking you with me."

"What, you don't have to do that I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

"That's true but I don't like the idea of leaving you here all alone for that long, it just doesn't sit right with with... besides..." He turn his back towards me and walked out to the front of the house. "I need to bring a date..."

"Excuse me..."

Kakarot teleported the both of us at the palace. Were we were greeted by some servants. "Take her to get changed," he handed them a package as three of the servants dragged me away from Kakarot. In another room was bathed, my hair was combed and pulled back into a tight bun, and I was forced into a deep purple halter onesie. After wards they added makeup and jewelry to the ensemble, and slipped me in jewel encrusted sandals. After they were done dressing me, they left the room and Kakarot came in moments later. "Purple really suits you you know?" Kakarot was wearing deep purple silk harem pants and black boots. He was shirtless but his neck was decorated with several heavy gold chains. He came closer to me till where my breasts were touching his chest. He bent down and grazed over my neck again. I held my breath trying not to make a sound, then let out a sigh of relief when he stepped away from me. "Come"

I followed him down the hallway till our next destination taking note of my surroundings. Kakarot abruptly stopped and I collided with muscles of his back, "oouch" I rubbed my nose.

"Vegeta you're finally wearing something besides your training gi. I see you're ready for your induction."

I peaked from behind Kakarot to see who he was talking to, he was a rather short man with similar unruly hair like Kakarot's. Looking at him gave me the chills. Even when he smiled he still had a permanent frown on his face. "Hey Vegeta where'd you go? I told you you walk to fast."

"You should learn to keep up women."

From around the corner a the same blue haired women appeared, "Well I can't keep up if you power walk every where, you know some people can-... Chi-Chi!"

"Bulma!"

Bulma ran towards me and gave me a big hug, "Oh I'm so happy to see you, I thought something bad happened to you."

"Women!" Vegeta harped. "Stop with all the damn squeeling!" Bulma shot him a nasty glare and turned my attention back to me. "C'mon Chi-Chi, why don't we get away from these fools."

"And where do you think you're going!?" Vegeta called growing more and more irritated with Bulma.

"To the bathroom is that okay your royal majesty?"

Vegeta scoffed at her remark and let her drag me away from them. Once we got around the corner Bulma let go of my hand and slowed down her pace some. "Wow I'm so happy to see you here Chi-Chi."

"Is this where you've been staying this whole time?"

"Ya, with that brute back there. How have you been getting along?"

"Okay I guess, I've been staying some ways outside the city out in a house in the forest. At least Kakarot isn't as brutish as Vegeta though. This is so great seeing you here now though because that means you can come with me and the others."

"Come with you to where, and who are the others?"

" A couple days ago I've met up with an old friend who says he can get us out of here. A ship is coming tonight that will take us to another planet where all of use can live in peace and start our lives over again."

Bulma closed her eyes to think about the offer I gave her. "I don't know Chi it seems kind of dangerous. Do you know what will happen if we get caught."

"I do but it's a risk I'm willing to take."

She looked at me and gave me a smile in agreement, "I'll come with you. Now how do you plan on escaping?"

"There's a meet up point down in the market area where everyone will be waiting on us. I just need a way to get there from the the castle."

"I think I can get you a map of the castle layout. That way maybe we can find an exit somewhere. And we'll have to wait after the ceremony to even think about leaving."

"Well for one the castle is swarming with guards and two after the crowning there will be so much commotion it'll be easier for us to slip out without being noticed. Come with me, I think I know where we an find a map at."

"Bulma took me into a room housed with a bunch of weapons and other tools for constructing innovation. "This is the area where they build weapons and also lay out new features for the castle. I bet they keep blueprints laying somewhere around here." Bulma started shuffling around the room looking through draws and closets. "Found it" she pulled out a map and laid it down on the table. "Okay here's where we are, and this is where you need to go. We'll to be sure to avoid all of these areas so as to not be seen by the guards."

A horn was sounded throughout the castle signalling for the ceremony to begin Bulma and I headed to gathering hall to find our respective masters. "Chi-Chi, there you are. Come stand beside me. Once the doors opened the prince walked out with Bulma and his officers followed along with their dates walking beside them. The dates stood of to the side and watched prince be crowned and all the officers promoted. At the end of the ceremony, everyone in the crowd began mixing in with each other. This was our chance I found Bulma and we slipped out of the gathering hall without anyone noticing. Bulma held on to the map to guide me toward the exit. "Okay the laundry room is just up ahead and then we-" We were interrupted by a two guards.

"And where are you ladies going?" The first guard reached out and grabbed Bulma by her wrist, "The prince has been looking for you."

"Hey get off me pal, you have no right to touch me." Bulma screamed while struggling away. The second guard started to walk towards me and Bulma yelled out, "Chi-Chi run!" I sprinted in the opposite direction of them as fast as my legs could carry me.

"Get back here!" As I was running through the castle I could hear the guards quickly catching up. I turned into an empty bedroom hopping that they wouldn't be able to find me, but my hopes were quickly shot, "Gotcha now you have no where to go."

I looked over towards the window to see a rope that lead outside the castle walls. I quickly grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around the rope, "Wait!" The guard called but he was to late. I slid down the rope desperately holding on for dear life. I landed on top of a bouncy covering just outside the castle and tried to stifle my self a little bit. Okay you've made it outside, you just gotta keep moving until you find the opening again. I climbed down from the covering and walked through the market. From one of the stores I grabbed a large shawl to wrap around my body to try and conceal my face. Now where is it...over there. I knocked several times until the wall opened up and walked inside making sure no one could see me.

"Chi-Chi, you made it," Siva greeted me. "I'm so glad you came I was worried you wouldn't make it."

"Me to, but we don't have much time. I just escaped from the castle and I know everyone is looking for me now."

"Right lets keep it moving." I crawled through the sewer system with Siva and a few others to for what felt like eternity. It took us a while to reach the other end. The passage led outside the city wall straight into the desert. "Okay people keep moving, quickly the ship is only a few yards a way now." In the distance I could make out a small black blur of what I assumed to be the ship we're supposed to be leaving on. From behind us you could hear alarms sounding off as they were desperately trying to search for us. "We're almost there everyone just keep moving."

-BOOM-

Sand flew up in front of us and when it cleared away it revealed Kakarot with several guards standing tall in front of us. He stood tall above us with a look of fury running across his face. The guards launched forward towards the slaves to take them back as captives. All the strength left from my body and I closed my eyes expecting one of the guards to grab hold of me, but nothing happened. I opened my eyes to be caught up in Kakarot's own. His vision kept mine, I could just see the amount of anger flowing through him. He turned his back towards me and watched as some of the slaves were able to slip past the guards and run towards the ship. He held an open palm out and gathered energy in his hand. He was about to destroy the ship, and instictively I ran around him and stood in front his vision of the ship.

"Please don't!"

"..." He stood quiet ignoring my plea.

I got down on all fours and began begging, "Please don't kill them please! I'll do anything you want, I'll obey your every word just please don't kill them!"

He stood there for a moment and put his hand down. He picked me up by my neck and chocked me just enough to where I can still breath. "Don't ever make a fool of me again." He dropped me down and I cradled my throat trying to catch my breath. "Everyone lets go we're through here." Behind him I could see various dead bodies lying on the ground. I turned to see the ship take off into the sky leaving me behind.
