"Hey, are you with us?" Lucy giggled, waving her hand in front of Natsu's face
It was the last day of October and once more the two schools had come together to celebrate Halloween. Makarov had planned a spooky night, the whole school had been decorated with cobwebs and and hanging skeletons. All the lights had been dimmed and spooky music was playing through the small speakers which were scattered around the entire school grounds. The sounds were very realistic, from the raven birds calling to the clowns terrifying laughter. Makarov had put a lot of effort into tonight and so had all the staff members who had dressed up and were all waiting silently still in various spots of the school so as to jump out at the passing students. The headmaster had began speaking to the young teens from the stage, everyone had gathered in the main hall to participating in the riddle quest.
"Are you ok?" Lucy asked her friend who still seemed miles away
"Y-Yes…" Natsu blinked back to reality
"Ha-ha what were you thinking of, I was trying to get your attention you for ages!"
"S-Sorry" he mumbled and looked down, his head turning away
"Is something wrong?" she asked
"Lucy"
"Yes Natsu?"
"Have...have you ever...made love?"
"Huh? Why are you asking me that?" she asked, seeming a little surprised by the question
"W-Well….m-me and Gray" he blushed, stuttering "We we've d-done stuff b-but"
"But you haven't gone all the way?"
Natsu nodded, his blush becoming darker
"And you want to?"
"No, I mean y-es….I mean...I mean" he paused "I don't understand why we haven't...I thought he liked me so why is it taking so long for Gray to do it?" he asked, lifting his head up so as to look at Lucy
"Well..uhm, maybe he's waiting for the right time or he might not think you are ready"
"But I am, I think…"
"Then tell him you think you're ready to go all the way or if you can't speak to him about it then just give him hints to show him that you are" she advised
"Hints?"
"Yeah like be more flirtatious, pose in a sexy way or wink at him"
"Wink and act sexy" Natsu noted
Lucy nodded with a smile before slowly standing, the headmaster had told everyone to get into pairs. The blonde turned back to her friend to ask him to be hers but saw Gray behind the pinkette, she turned away before wandering off to find someone else she could pair with, maybe Juvia if she hadn't been taken by that rather cute white haired teen, Lyon.
"What's with this blush?" Gray asked as he poked Natsu's warm cheek
The boy jumped and spun around, his green eyes wide as he stared at the raven.
"Did I really scare you that much" Gray laughed
Natsu shook his head and glanced down, he needed to let Gray know he was ready, he was ready to go all the way with him, he wanted them to finally make love to one another.
Act sexy, act sexy….
Natsu bit his bottom lip and slowly raised his head, he looked at Gray it an almost seductive way though Natsu wasn't to sure about what he was doing. The raven looked at the teen with a smile, he took a hold of Natsu's hands which were covered in grey fur, he had dressed up as a werewolf.
"You look really cute" Gray complimented "Come on, if we want to win we best go and figure out the first riddle" Gray gently pulled Natsu along
That didn't work? Maybe I wasn't being sexy enough, what else can I do, oh I know
Natsu quickened his pace before stopping in front of Gray, bringing them to an abrupt pause.
"What? What is it?" Gray asked looking down at the adorable little grey wolf
Natsu didn't say anything he just fluttered his eyelashes at the raven, he brought up his left paw which Gray wasn't holding and placed it near his mouth. The raven titled his head, looking rather confused.
"Are you needing something? A bone?" Gray joked
Natsu thought, his wide green eyes looking up slightly
Bone? Can that be something I could make sexy….this is really hard
Natsu nodded his head hoping that Gray would understand him, the raven grinned and leaned forward
"What kind of bone do you need Natsu Dragneel?" he asked, his voice low
Natsu blushed as the raven whispered to him, he swallowed hard as he tried to think of a sexy answer
"Y-Your b-b-bone" he stuttered
Gray laughed and moved back, he patted the teen's head before taking his paw once more
"Maybe later" Gray said before gently pulling Natsu along
The pinkett kept his head down as he allowed the raven to lead him, he felt tears rush to his eyes, he held his breath as he pursed his lips.
Don't cry, don't cry...don't c-c-cry"
The halls were filled with screaming teenagers as the teachers jumped out to grab them, some were even chased. Gray lead Natsu around the crowd of girls, avoiding eye contact with the teachers as he slipped into one of the classrooms, the art room to be exact.
The raven silently closed the door and let go of Natsu's small paw before searching the back end of the room for a clue, Natsu stood near the doorway, his head still down as he tried to keep himself together but tears had already began to fall.
"W-Why won't you make love t-to me?" Natsu asked
Gray turned and looked at the sobbing wolf, he stood up from where he had been crouching.
He made his way over to the pinkett, Natsu caught his breath as Gray wrapped his arms around the pinkette.
"I didn't think you were ready"
"I a-a-am"
"Are you sure?" Gray asked in a whisper, he looked down at the teen in his arms "Are you sure you want to go all the way?"
Natsu looked up, wiping his tears away as he stared into the raven's eyes. He paused, his heart began pounding against his chest as he thought about going all the way with Gray, was he actually ready for this?
"If you want to really do it Natsu then I will but I want to make sure you're certain first, i don't want you to regret anything"
Natsu sniffled, a soft pink blush raced over his moist cheeks. He smiled as he held on to Gray, the raven was so thoughtful and so caring.
"I just w-wanted us to b-be complete, I thought you w-would love me more if we did it"
"Natsu" Gray smiled, his arm lifting before his hand ran through the teen's pink strands "You baka" he laughed and rested his forehead on the others
"I'm sorry" Natsu mumbled and looked down, away from the ravens deep gaze
"You don't need to be sorry" Gray assured him and brought his head back up "You were just trying to make me happier but you don't need to please me, just knowing you're mine is enough for me"
"I love you Gray"
"I love you to" he smiled before leaning in and softly placing a kiss on the pinkettes warm lips.
Natsu's reached up and placed his hand around Gray's neck as he gently kissed him back, moaning softly as the ravens hand rested on his hip, Gray pulled the boy closer to him as he deepened the kiss. Natsu's breathing hitched as he felt the coolness of Gray's touch upon his skin, the raven ran his fingers up the pinkettes torso.
"Come on boys it shouldn't take you that long to find a clue" Mira peered through the door which caused the two teens to jump.
"G-Got it" Gray replied, picking up the note he had left on one of the desks
Natsu pulled down his fur top and looked away, a deep crimson blush now present on his cheeks.
"Great! Now hurry up you don't want to be last, Makarov has punishment for those who don't complete the task" she giggled before returning back to the main hall way
That was close" Gray laughed as he read the note
Natsu looked up, nodding his head but keeping quiet, he was so embarrassed, his teacher had seen them making out, not just any teacher the deputy head.
"You're really cute when you blush" Gray smiled as he took Natsu by the paw
"Shut up!" Natsu frowned "It's your fault she saw"
"Ha-ha, well she would have seen more if we had done what you wanted to do" he teased
Natsu's blush deepened, he pulled his fur hood over his head, covering his face.
"Shut upppp!" Natsu cried
Gray pulled Natsu towards him, placing his arm over the wolf's shoulder before slowly pulling back the eared hood.
"Have I made you go all shy pinky" Gray teased
Natsu stayed silent as he peered out at the raven, he smiled as Gray nuzzled his head into the overly fitted hood.
"Grayyyyy" Natsu giggled as the teen kissed his warm cheeks
"Stop ittttt" he gently pushed the raven away
Gray moved back, smiling at the boy as he adjusted his cape.
"It's kind of weird you're dressed as a vampire Gray"
"Why?" Gray asked as they left the art room together, the hall had only a few pupils crowded in corners, each trying to figure out the first clue but hardly able to read the messy ink writing on the torn paper
"I can't read it! The light is too dim" one girl complained
"Well vampires and wolves are suppose to be enemies but were paired up together, that would never normally happen in the supernatural world" Natsu explained as Gray guided him down the stairs, the raven had already figured out the first clue and was now in pursuit for the next one
"Well it's a good job we don't live in the supernatural world" Gray turned to look at Natsu "I could never be your enemy"
Natsu stared at Gray with wide eyes, once more the vampire had caught him off guard with one of his sweet lines
"Well you would have to be, it's like the number one rule" Natsu stated as he tried to look away but was caught once more by Gray's deep sapphire eyes
"I'd break it, I'd break all the rules in any world if it meant I could be with you"
Natsu blinked, a single tear escaping his green eyes. Gray smiled as he caught it with the tip of his thumb.
"Why are you crying? It's not a bad thing" the raven laughed
"I know its not, its a really sweet thing Gray, you're really amazing" Natsu smiled as he looked at Gray "My truly amazing, sweet boyfriend" he added before tiptoeing up to kiss the end of the raven's nose.
The raven blushed before ruffling up Natsu's hair "Stop being so sappy" he teased before pulling Natsu along.
The pair continued the riddle quest set by their headmaster, it took them a while as Natsu ended up getting distracted by the chocolate treats which Miss Scarlet had made and Gray had ended up being tackled by a bunch of fan-girls in one of the school corridors. Both teen's finished the task just before midnight, they received a prize from the deputy head Mirajane before all the students were left to say their goodbyes to the all girls school.
"How did it go?" Lucy asked Natsu as he walked her to the coach, Gray stayed back not wanting to be tackled by another swarm of fan-girls.
"How did what go?" Natsu asked a little confused
"You and Gray?" the blonde giggled as she winked at her friend
"Oh" Natsu blushed "That...ha-ha...I told him I was ready to go all the w-way"
"And?" she asked, hardly able to keep her excitement contained
"I think I n-need a little more time"
"Oh Natsu! I thought you had done it" she laughed "We'll I'm sure Gray will wait until you are ready" she smiled "He's a really nice guy, you're really lucky to have him"
"I know….he's perfect" Natsu smiled
"Not as perfect as you" Gray said as he wrapped his arms around the boy
Natsu jumped, startled by the raven. Lucy giggled having seen Gray slowly approach them.
"Couldn't keep away?" she teased the raven
"Nope" Gray smiled as he looked at Natsu's now blushing face
Lucy cooed over the two for a moment before she was called onto the coach she waved to the two lovers as she took her seat. A bunch of girls had also began waving at the raven but Gray was too mesmerized by the pinkettes adorable, blushing face.
"Stop staring at me idiot people are looking!" Natsu groaned as he pulled his hood down
"I don't care, I want people to see how much I adore you"
"You're so embarrassing!"
No matter how many times I hear his sweet, loving words. It seems they always take me by surprise, causing my heart to skip and my breath to cut short
