Games
Epilogue
We, being the wonderful, helpful Team that we are, decided to help everyone at the game show get back home.
And you don't even know how long that took.
But after a lot of frustration, teleportation, and lack of communication, we finally completed our task, and now we're rewarded with the peace and tranquility of sitting at our own home and doing absolutely nothing.
Well, almost absolutely nothing.
Merome is snogging in the corner of the room (I still haven't confronted them about that, but maybe it's better to just go with it), Jason is chattering excitedly on the phone to Tyler, and Seto is walking around blabbering about Brice and potion ingredients and Brice and the game show and Brice and whether or not we should schedule a visit to my not-entirely-crappy parents.
And Brice. He's also blabbering about Brice.
Quentin, Ian, Ty, and I are all snuggled up comfortably on the couch as we watch the news. All of Minecraftia is cheering about the end of the game show and the start of their new lives with the loved ones they were sure they'd lost.
At some point, I get incredibly bored with the current events of the world and resort to playing with Ty's fingers. He notices immediately and, after checking with Ian and Quentin, changes the channel to one playing Spongebob. "Yes!" I shout, bursting into song with the same breath. "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!" Ty giggles, and I smile and squeeze his hand.
Ian is fidgeting slightly to the right of me, and I send him a confused look. He just bites his lip and takes a deep breath, turning away from me to face Quentin. "Uh, hey, Fish?"
"Ian, for the last time," he says, quite clearly annoyed as he turns to face his friend, "I am not a fish, I'm an amphib-"
In that moment, Ian darts forward a tad for the sole purpose of pecking Quentin on the lips. The fish's eyes widen slowly, and he brings a hand up to feel his lips gently with his fingers.
After a rather long, rather frightening silence (probably much more so for Ian), Quentin mumbles the words, "I liked that," right before leaning in for a kiss a lot longer and more passionate than the last.
"Ssunkipz?" I ask.
Ty nods. "Ssunkipz."
"We should get jobs as matchmakers, Ty. We're, like, geniuses!"
"Haha, no. We'd probably end up pairing Rob with Preston or something," he says, rolling his eyes as he references our two friends.
I gasp. "What, do you not believe in Woofless!?"
Ty snorts and raises an eyebrow. "Judging by the look on your face, I'm about to."
True to Ty's prediction, I launch into a lengthy speech about why Rob and Preston are so obviously meant for each other, and by the end of it, Ty is my fellow shipper.
"Yay, now you ship Woofless!" I giggle, cuddling into him. "That makes you an even better boyfriend than you already were!"
Ty smiles softly. "Notch, Sky, I really love you."
I nod, returning the smile and adding a short kiss. "I love you, too, Ty."
In this moment, I have everything I've ever wanted.
I've got wonderful friends that accept me even though my first name is technically Skybrine. I've got parents who don't constantly endeavor to convert me to the dark side. I've got Ty right next to me, keeping me warm.
Everything is perfect.
