A/N: Please don't kill me for my absence... I-I... I kinda just idk... I apologize for my mess .
Sunlight beamed through the room's window. I sat in my bed and blankly stared at the tiny dust particles floating in the swam in the air then settled onto the soft peachy carpet, but with a single sigh from me, they took off again and flew into the air once more. I looked around the room silently and closed my eyes.
I ran my hands besides me on the bed until I touched something. I opened my eyes and looked besides me. I ran my hands through the long purple strands that spread across my bed. I smiled as I brushed away the hairs revealing Gakupo sleeping soundly by my side.
"Gakupo," I called out.
The sleeping face slowly opened his eyes and looked up at me. I got up and brushed his hair back. He looked at me, with his tired eyes. I waited for him to say something, but he just kept closing his eyes, then opening them again.
I laughed softly, "Gakupo, I'm doing well."
With those words, he smiled and relaxed his stiff body.
I turned my body and set my two feet onto the ground. I pushed myself up and looked at Gakupo. He had also stood and waited for me to say something. I walked to my rooms door and turned back to him, "Shall we go eat breakfast?"
When we went into the dining room, everyone was already there. They all stared at me and greeted me. Meiko ran over and hugged me, "My dear brother!"
"Meiko…" I laughed, "good morning."
Gakupo went over to the couch and sat down with Len and Rin who were shouting at the TV. He seemed normal again. Len began angrily growling at Gakupo and pointed at the TV. I smiled, Gakupo must have said something Len disagrees with again. Kiyoteru, who was at the dining table reading, closed his book and went over to the two and began scolding them. Piko moped on the dining table and demanded food. Luka and Miku chatted across from Piko. They waved to me when they saw me looking over at them. I smiled back to them.
I turned to Meiko, "Where is Yuma-kun?"
Meiko sighed, "In Gakupo's room still…" She walked towards Luka and Miku, "Go and get him, will you?"
"Eh? Me?" I panicked. I gulped, It's not like I don't want to see him… I turned to go to Gakupo's room. In the first place… Why is he in Gakupo's room? Now that I think of it, I brought him into his room and he fell asleep after… My whole face turned red.
'Sempai, please marry me!' Yuma's words swam through my mind back and forth. I shook my head and clapped my face with both of my hands. I took a deep breath and opened Gakupo's door. I walked over to the bed and stared at the cocoon in it. The purple blankets swirled around into a long oval. At one end, small toes poked out and wiggled about. On the other end, a pink fluff ball peaked out of the top. I laughed softly, "Yu-"
The cocoon jolted and spun. It rolled straight into the wall making a large thud. I quickly stepped back. The cocoon wiggled silently, but then it suddenly shot up. The cocoon got looser and looser revealing what was inside. Yuma stared blankly at the blanket. He did not look at me, or greet me. I looked like he wasn't even breathing as he stood up. The purple blanket fell to the floor as he stepped towards the door.
I gulped, "Yuma-kun?"
He flinched hearing his name. His face turned red when he glanced over at me, "S-s-s-s-"
I smiled, "Good morning."
"Sempai!" He hollered suddenly.
I jumped, "Y-yes?"
Yuma looked away silently. He took a deep breath and stood up, "u-um… let's go get something to eat!"
"Y-yeah…" I looked at him as he slowly wobbled out of the room. I followed after him. Once we got back to the living room, Len was cheering and shaking excitedly with Rin. I looked over at Kiyoteru who was telling the two to calm down, "what is happening?"
"We're going out to eat," he replied.
"O-oh… alright…" I glanced at Yuma, "isn't that going to fun? We're going outside!" I tried to brighten the atmosphere around Yuma.
He barely moved, "yeah…" He turned and walked out with the others.
"What's with him…" Gakupo grunted behind me.
"Gakupo-kun…" I looked at him, "will he be fine?"
Gakupo sighed, "I'll go knock some sense into him.
"Oh, okay…" I smiled and watched him go after Yuma. Gakupo seems to want to help him a lot… They must be getting along well now. After what happened… Wait. I hurried over to the others who were outside. Gakupo said 'knock.' He can't possibly…
"OUCH!" I heard Yuma yelling, "What the hell was that for ya damn eggplant?!"
Kiyoteru who was besides me took a deep breath and pushed up his glasses. I thought that for sure he was going to explode, but he didn't do anything.
"Get your head together, you pink hedgehog!" Gakupo snapped. He grabbed Yuma's shirt and pulled him closer, "how many times do I have to tell you that what happened isn't your fault?"
"I-I know!" Yuma pulled away from Gakupo, "you-!"
A thick book appeared in between the two of them. Kiyoteru stood near them, with his eyes closed, "had more than enough of your arguing."
"This doesn't concern you!" The two angrily barked.
I flinched, feeling Kiyoteru's anger build up. I hurried over to calm all of them down, but it was too late. Kiyoteru smiled, "Yuma, Gakupo."
"What?!" They barked.
Kiyoteru opened his eyes and glared at the two with a sinister smile that stretched across his face, "shut it."
A few seconds passed in silence. Kiyoteru opened his book and turned to me, "let's go eat."
"Y-yeah…" I nodded. I looked over at the two. They slowly followed us, looking at the ground.
We walked to a car that was parked near the park below. Len peaked out of the car and pointed at the two who got scolded, "ha ha! you got scolded my Kiyoteru~"
Kiyoteru closed his book and looked at Len. Len flinched and scurried back into the back of the car. I sighed and told the two to get in. They sluggishly went in. Kiyoteru turned to me, "sit in the front."
"Eh?" I looked at him, "why?"
"Those two idiots… I'll talk to them."
"Ah…"
Kiyoteru smiled, "don't worry. As long as they don't make me angry, they won't get hurt."
"Y-yeah… ok then," I nodded awkwardly and went into the passenger seat. Kiyoteru shut my door and entered the car with the others in the back. Len squished himself against Piko to avoid Kiyoteru and Piko was obviously unhappy. Kiyoteru sat in between Gakupo and Yuma. I sighed and turned to the front.
"Yo, Kaito, how are you feeling?" The driver asked.
"Ah, um… I'm-!" I stared in shock, "M-Master?!"
"Aha ha ha!" Master laughed, "don't be so shocked!"
"B-but," I panicked.
"I can at least drive myself! Hey… sometimes I want to be with my family," Master smiled at me.
"Family…" I mumbled.
"That's right," Master patted my head, "including you, Kaito." He smiled at me. His eyes gazed at me with a feeling maybe of parent's love. "Though you may be the oldest and you don't have that much amazing technology in you… I still love you as much as Miku, or anyone else." He rubbed my blue hair in between his thumb and finger, "you are the reason why I was able to make everyone else. Without you, no one else would be here you know?"
"Master…" I felt tears well up in my eyes.
Master chuckled, "look… you're amazing! Without me upgrading you or anything, you developed all of these human feelings."
I touched Master's hand with my cheek, "thank you… thank you, Ma-!"
"LOVE RIVAL!" Yuma hollered from the back. Yuma crawled to the front and glared at Master through the tiny window, "don't touch Sempai…"
"Y-yuma-kun?!" I stared at him in shock.
"Listen up Master, I already have the stupid eggplant ta battle, so don't bring yourself into this battle, ya old geezer," Yuma barked. "Not that I wou-!"
A hand clasped onto Yuma's head, "Yuma-kun?" Kiyoteru tightened his grip on his head.
"Ouch ouch ouch!" Yuma whimpered.
Yuma was soon dragged back to his seat. I stared in silence. Master burst out laughing, "would you look at that!"
"Master?" I frowned.
"Smile! Look at all of your family around you! Leave the past in the past!"
My eyes widened. I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked forward. I smiled, "you're right…"
Everyone ate a lot at breakfast. Well, it was more like a brunch because we took so long. Len patted his stomach and sighed. Rin slapped his stomach making his cough up the small piece of popcorn chicken he was chewing. And just like popcorn, it popped into the air and landed in Yuma's soup, splashing him. Yuma snapped at Len as Rin laughed away. Luka quietly scolded Rin and told her to calm down. Gakupo who was the most quiet in the car ride here growled at Rin. It seemed that some of Yuma's sup got on him. Everyone else in the restaurant looked at us weird, but that didn't matter.
Master laughed so hard that I thought he might of passed out. I gave him water and tried to calm everyone down. Meiko slung her arm around me and told me not to care and just to have fun. I looked over at Gakupo and Yuma. They were paying no attention to me. Even though they had soup on them, they seemed to have fun yelling at the others. Even Kiyoteru laughed a bit until Yuma slammed his hand down on his fork, making it fly away. It sped passed Kiyoteru's face, cutting off some of Kiyoteru's bangs.
Kiyoteru closed the heavy book he always was reading and stood up. Everyone clung to each other. Even Master who was always laughing stopped laughing and tried to calm Kiyoteru down, only to be beamed down with Kiyoteru's glare. Yuma pleaded for his life as Kiyoteru grabbed Yuma's head and smiled.
Ah… this is my family… Master is right. The past is in the past. It isn't to be brought into the future, or rather the present. I sighed and began laughing. This is what I want. Nothing else, but everyone's smiling faces. I had never laughed this much… I wiped away the tears of happiness from my eyes. Everyone grew silent and looked at me. Kiyoteru let go of Yuma and closed his book. He smiled at me, "out dear brother… how long we have been waiting for you to laugh like this."
Everyone grinned at me. Yuma got up from the floor and pouted, putting his chin on the table. Gakupo pulled him up scolded him. Master smiled and sipped his tea. Piko, who rarely smiled, laughed happily for me. Meiko and Miku hugged me.
I laughed, "thank you… everyone!"
