Chapter 32

Will stood looking down at his little girl. He couldn't believe that she was already a year old. It seemed like it was just yesterday that he had been shot and she was being brought into this world by the love of his life.

"Before we know it, your brother or sister will be joining you in this room. Marley, I want you to remember that no matter what, I will always have room in my heart for you. Just because we are adding another baby to our already wonderful family, doesn't mean we won't still have room for you in our lives and our hearts."

"She knows that she's loved Will. As much love as you have in you, our children will never think for one second that they are not loved by their daddy." Sonny wrapped his arms around his husband and pulled him in for a kiss.

"I could say the same for you. Marley knows that you love her and the new baby will know the same. I love you my sweet prince." Will kissed his husband like he had never kissed him before.

"If I'm your prince, does that make you my princess?" they laughed as they made their way back to their bedroom.

They were getting settled in for the night when Will's cell phone rang. "It's Gabi." He answered it. "Hello."

"Hey Will. I wanted to remind you and Sonny that I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow."

"Thanks for reminding us Gabi. I had forgotten with all the excitement of Marley's birthday party. Are you sure you want us both there?"

"Of course. This baby is yours and Sonny's baby so you should both be there."

"Okay. What time?"

"Ten a.m."

"Okay. See you then."

"Bye." Will hung up the phone and turned towards his husband who was laying in the center of the bed naked.

"Oh my sweet heaven. You are so damn sexy Sonny Horton-Kiriakis."

"Right back at ya."

The next day they walked into the hospital and looking for Gabi. They knew they had found her as soon as they heard Sami's voice.

"But why can't I stay in the room with her. I was here when she found out she was pregnant with Marley so why can't I be here when she learns whether I'm going to have another granddaughter or a grandson?"

"Because she doesn't want you in there Sami. She's the patient, not you so I'm going to ask you nicely to leave her alone."

"But…"

"Mom, if Gabi doesn't want you in there with her during the ultra sound, then you need to abide by her wishes. Cam, do you think you could ask Gabi if Sonny and I can come in."

"Sure thing Will." Cameron went into the room with Gabi. After a few minutes, he came back out. "Gabi said for you and Sonny to come into the room."

"Okay." Will and Sonny followed Cameron into the room where Gabi was sitting there waiting for the sonogram to begin just like a year ago when Will had walked into the room and learned he had a daughter.

The only difference now was that Joseph Kiriakis sat where Nick Fallon had sat then. "Hey little brother."

"What are you doing here Joey?" Sonny asked his big brother.

"I asked him to be here. Is that okay with y'all?" Gabi asked both of them.

"Sure." Everybody got quiet while Cameron got everything ready to perform the sonogram. He lifted Gabi's blouse and squirted the gel on her stomach.

"So what are you hoping for this time Will, Gabi?" he asked the both of them, leaving both of the Kiriakis men out of the question.

"Sonny and I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, as long as he or she is healthy."

"Okay then let's see what you gentlemen have here." He placed the head of the wand in the gel and moved it around the biggest part of Gabi's stomach. While he did this, he looked back at the monitor. "This can't be." He said in disbelief.

"What's wrong with the baby Cameron?" Will asked, worried about his and Sonny's child.

"Nothing's wrong that I can see, if you want twins that is." Cameron looked over at Will and Sonny.

"What did you say?" Will asked in shock.

"You have a son and a daughter. See right here," he pointed towards the monitor and outlined the two separate little forms, a girl and a boy.

"We're having twins?" Sonny asked as he sat down on the floor. He couldn't believe this was happening to them.

"You are if you want both of them." Gabi finally spoke up. "I know that twins were not what you two were planning on but if you want both of them, it will be fine with me because you both know I can't take care of a child right now. Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter but I'm just not mother material. So do y'all want them both?" she asked, looking from Will to Sonny.

"We'll have to think about this. We weren't planning on twins."

"That's okay. We still have plenty of time to decide what to do. One can always be put up for adoption if you only want one. Why don't y'all go home, sleep on it, and discuss it. When you have talked about it and thought it out, you can decide what you want to do."

"Okay. Cameron can you print out a picture for us?"

"Sure thing. I'll be right back." He left the four of them alone to wait for the printout of the sonogram.

Will joined his husband on the floor, linking their hands together. "What's going on in that beautiful mind of yours?" he asked.

"Are you sure we'll be able to handle three kids all under two years old?" Sonny asked, obviously worried about having three kids.

"If you don't want both of the twins, it's okay with me." Will pulled him into his arms and hugged him tight, trying his best to calm him down.

"How can it be okay with the two of you to separate your kids? How do you think I would have felt if Mom and Dad had decided to keep me and get rid Vic or the other way around? I know that they weren't planning to adopt twins. They were surprised too but if they had let one of us go back to our biological parents instead of fighting for both of us, then I might not have been here today learning that I'm fixing to have a nephew and another niece. Don't separate you kids. That's cruel to do that and then one day when the one you keep is old enough to understand, you sit them down and say, 'by the way, you have a twin brother or sister but we just didn't want to worry with raising three kids so we kept one and let someone else raise the other one'. I need some fresh air." Joey leaned down to kiss Gabi on the forehead and then he left the three parents to sit by themselves to think about what he had said about their decision.
