Chapter 34

His mom looked from him to his husband, shocked by what she was staring at, not really sure if her eyes were just playing tricks on her.

"Are you okay mom?" he asked.

"Are my eyes deceiving me or am I looking at twins?"

"Your eyes are not deceiving you mom. Sonny and I are having twins. A boy and a girl. We've already named them."

"Really? What have you decided on?"

"Sophie Caroline and Jackson Robert. What do you think of those names? Are you excited about having another granddaughter and a grandson?"

"You boys are making me old before my time. Shame on you both." They all were laughing at Sami's comment when EJ walked into the room.

"Hello, William, Jackson. How are you two doing?"

"We're doing fine EJ. We're here letting mom know that she's going to have another granddaughter and a grandson this time."

"You're having twins." EJ sat down next to Sami and kissed her on the cheek. "If William and Jackson keep on going this way, we'll have a baseball team before we know it."

"I just told them that they are making me old before my time." Sami told him.

"Well, mom, you shouldn't have had me at such a young age. I've decided to have my children when I'm young enough to enjoy being with them."

"Have you told anybody else that you're having twins?"

"The only people that know are me, Sonny, Gabi, Joey and Cameron."

"Why does Joey Kiriakis know?" Sami asked.

"Because my brother happens to be dating Gabi and she wanted him there. She asked if we had a problem with him being there. We said no so he was there for the sonogram."

"How do you feel about your brother-in-law dating your ex-girlfriend?" Sami asked.

"I don't care if she dates Joey. She's married worse. As long as she leaves Nick alone, she can date Sonny's entire family." Sonny laughed.

"We are going to see my parents, Uncle Vic and Aunt Maggie next."

"What about Lucas?"

"We stopped here first. Is dad back in town?"

"Yes."

"Then we'll go tell him and Grandma Kate after we tell Sonny's family."

"How do you think your mom is going to react when she learns that you are going to make her a grandma again?"

"Well, Sami, I would love for my mom to be as accepting of Marley as my dad is but according to her, Will's children will never be her grandchildren. I don't understand it because what about when my brothers get married and have kids. They'll be no blood relation whatsoever to my mom but she'll probably love them just like she loves their dad. She just doesn't want her only flesh and blood son with someone she doesn't deem appropriate for him."

"But you don't think that she'll feel that way about the twins, will she?" Sonny could see the worry on Sami's face.

"With my mom, one can never tell what is going on inside of her head. She'll probably want a DNA test before she even admits they are my kids."

"Are we doing that Sonny?" Will asked, worried himself about Adrienne and how she felt towards him and his family. "I thought that by both of us supplying sperm that we wouldn't really know who the biological father was. If we have a DNA test done, then we'll be right where we are with Marley; divided."

"No, we are not having the test done. Sophie and Jackson have two daddies, you and me. Biologically, they will have one mom, Gabi but they don't need to know DNA and neither do I. Of course I also feel like Marley is my daughter now because she called me daddy first." Sonny smiled, making his beautiful husband smile too.

"Go ahead and rub it in. I'll see to it that Sophie and Jackson call me daddy first." They were both laughing.

"Okay boys, go tell the other grandparents the good news. I know Justin will be excited because he loves Marley too much to not be excited about twins." Sami kissed her son on the cheek and then hugged her son-in-law. She stood at the door and watched them leave.

"So, William and Jackson are making you a grandma again and it's twins this time." "EJ said as he pulled Sami into his arms. "I love you Samantha."

"And I love you EJ. Have I told you that I'm glad I forgave you after your affair with Abigail? Well I am because I love you and I know that you will never do that again, with anybody. Right?"

"Yes, ma'am." EJ leaned down and kissed Sami. "Since our children are with their great-grandma Caroline, would you like to go upstairs so I can prove how much I love you?" he asked as he kissed her neck.

"Take me upstairs Elvis John DiMera." Sami followed EJ upstairs to their bedroom.

Sonny and Will sat on the couch opposite Sonny's parents waiting for Uncle Victor and Aunt Maggie to join them.

Will could still see the hatred in Adrienne's eyes but she kept her opinions to herself because she didn't want to lose her son.

"Can't you give us a hint to your news Sonny?" Adrienne asked but before he could answer her question, Victor and Maggie walked into the room.

"We can tell you the news now that Uncle Victor and Aunt Maggie are here."

"I'm sorry. Were you waiting on us to arrive before sharing some good news?"

"Not really Uncle Victor. We just didn't want to have to repeat the telling of the news."

"Okay. They are here so now you can tell us. What is the good news son?" Justin asked Sonny with a smile on his face.

"Gabi had a sonogram yesterday and we found out that we are having twins." Right away, both Sonny and Will could see the happiness and joy on Justin's face, as well as Victor and Maggie. Adrienne was a different story.

"Do you know if they are boys or girls or one of each?" Justin asked.

"One girl and one boy. We've already decided on their names too. Jackson Robert and Sophie Caroline." The second Will said their little girls name he saw the tears in Victor's eyes. "I thought it would be a wonderful dedication to name our daughter after both of her great-great-grandmas. Is that okay with you Uncle Victor?"

Victor walked over to them and hugged each of them. "Thank you boys. I know my mother would be very happy to have her great-great-granddaughter named after her." After hugging Sonny and Will, Victor turned his attention to Will. "And I know that your great-grandma Caroline will be thrilled that you are naming your child after her."

"I would have loved to do that for all of the grandparents but we're only having two children so we decided on those two names."

After Victor finished hugging both of them, Maggie and Justin took their turn at congratulating them. Will noticed that Adrienne just sat in her seat, not moving or saying a word.

Finally, she spoke up and neither of them liked what she had to say, as usual. "So, which one of you is the daddy to these twins?" she asked.
