Chapter 39

On the way home from the zoo, Marley fell asleep. Will didn't know who enjoyed the trip to the zoo more, her or her dad because the way Sonny Horton-Kiriakis acted, he might as well been a kid too.

Sonny was cooking supper while Will put Marley to bed. As soon as he got supper in the oven, he joined Will in her room to say watch her sleep. "Did I tell you about the dream I had the other night?"

"No. what was it about?"

"You, Marley, Jackson and Sophie. It's the first time since learning that the baby is twins that I have dreamed about them."

"Well, what did you dream?"

"You and I were walking Marley down the aisle to this guy she was apparently marrying. When the preacher asked 'who gives this woman to this man' you and I were supposed to step up and say 'her fathers do' but when it came time all I could say was no. I told her that she was too young to be getting married and I couldn't give her away yet."

"What did I say?"

"You just stood there telling me that it was time to let her go. And I just kept saying I wasn't ready for her to leave home. Finally, she walked up to me with Sophie by her side and they both told me that since they weren't really my daughters that I really had no say in it. They said that they were going to get married and there wasn't anything I could do about it because I wasn't really their daddy. Then you stepped up to me and said that it would be okay because Jackson was my son."

"Baby, you know that I would never say that. I don't feel that way so there will never be a day when I tell you that. If any of our children ever say that to either one us, I'm gonna first one to let them know that we are both their parents. You and I are in this together, forever."

"I know. It's just my subconscious trying to mess with me."

"Or more like your mother messing with you. She has gotten into your head and convinced you that as long as these children don't share your DNA, then they can't be yours. But I feel differently and so will our children because you will love them unconditionally."

"I know. Thank you for talking me down from the way that I was feeling after that dream. How about since love bug here is asleep, we go into the living room, pour a glass of wine and have a little at home date?" Sonny pulled him up against his body and moaned.

"Yes, sir. That sounds good. How about we play my favorite song. I think it's still in the CD player."

"Sounds good to me. Come on Mr. Horton-Kiriakis." He took his hand and led him into the living room. Will started the CD player while Sonny went to the kitchen to get the wine.

By the time Sonny returned from the kitchen with the wine, their song started. "I love this song." Sonny said as he pulled Will into his arms and they started dancing to One Direction's Something Great.

"I love you Sonny. You are what my dreams are made of. Without you, my life is incomplete."

"Then it is a good thing you have me because I wouldn't want your life incomplete. We complete each other and I am happier than I have ever been. I know I have said all this before but it is worth repeating."

"I know my love." Will kissed Sonny and they continued dancing in each other's arms until the song ended and the next song started playing.

When the songs ended and they were through dancing, they say down on the couch and drank wine while feeding each other the lasagna Sonny had fixed for their supper.

When they were finished eating lasagna and drinking wine, they made their way to their bedroom and made love for the rest of the night.

As Will drifted off to sleep, he heard Sonny whisper in his ear. "I love you Will, now and forever and always. You are my soul mate." He kissed him on his neck and then they both fell asleep.

Will and Sonny looked at the sonogram photo, smiling at the beauty of their twins. "It is so hard to believe that in three short months, our twins will be here. How are you feeling Gabi?"

"I'm tired of everybody asking me if I'm okay. I'm growing two human beings in my body so I'm feeling tired, worn out and just freaking frustrated so over look me." they both held in their laughter, not wanting to anger Gabi more.

"I'm sorry I asked. I won't ask again. I promise." Just then, Joey walked into the club and made a beeline for them but the second he saw the look on Gabi's face, he made a U-turn and headed towards the bar.

"What is your brother's problem Sonny? Every time he starts to walk towards me, he changes his mind and heads in the other direction."

"Maybe he's afraid he'll say the wrong thing and upset you. That's how we Kiriakis men handle things like this. He doesn't want to upset you." Sonny stood up. "I'll go see what's what."

"Okay." Sonny kissed Will and walked over to the bar to talk to his brother.

"Do you really think he's scared of me Will?" Gabi asked after she watched Sonny walk over to her boyfriend.

"Joey's just not used to dealing with the emotions of a pregnant woman. I don't think he's scared per say. I just think he doesn't want to say anything that would set you off."

"I am sorry for being a bitch." Gabi said just as Will sat down next to her.

"You're not being a bitch. You are a woman carrying twins for your friends who is filled with all these hormones. You can't help being emotional. Joey understands and that is why he is over there at the bar. He cares for you Gabi so don't let it get to you."

"I'll try not to." Will looked over at his should when he felt like he attention was needed. Sonny was motioning for him to come over to the bar.

"Excuse me for just a moment. My husband is beckoning me to his side."

"Okay." Will got up and walked over to the gorgeous brothers sitting at the bar talking.

"You wanted me dear." He said to Sonny.

"Yes. Okay Joey. Remember that whatever she says to you isn't because she's angry with you. It's the hormones from carrying both the babies."

"I know."

"Besides she thinks that you are scared of her. Let her know that isn't true and that you care for her deeply. She's really vulnerable right now."

"I know boys. I'll motion to you when she and I are through talking. Thanks brother." Joey hugged both Sonny and Will before walking over to sit across from Gabi.
