I want to thank everyone for taking the time to review!

Okay when Season 1 ended a couple of months ago I thought we would have to wait a while before we got Season 2, apparently not. If any of you guys have seen the new episodes then you know that there's a huge time-jump between Seasons 1 and 2, like a five-year difference. It was a huge change and a little confusing at first, but it's growing on me.

For my story I'll follow the cannon, but once Season 1 is done, I'll begin my own arc, the Trigon Arc. I also plan to throw in some dimensional traveling and whether that'll be an arc or not depends on how long I plan to make it. There will be some major Deathstroke action in those Arcs seeing as he won't be all that big during the canon chapters.

Chapter 10: A Lost Bird Returns

|THE WATCHTOWER
|2010 July 12, 23:58 UCT

Batman stood in front of the monitors with Zatara only a few feet ahead of him. The magician had contacted him only minutes ago, saying that something powerful was gathering energy, something not of this dimension, and that it was entering into their world. The energy itself was malicious in nature, but there was something else to it that Zatara said he couldn't identify, something that wasn't evil. This latter emotion appeared to be coming from a lifeform at the center of all that dark, mystic energy. And unfortunately, Zatara couldn't tell if this lifeform was a threat or not.

'This is not something we need right now.' Batman thought to himself as he watched Zatara try to isolate where the being was trying to arrive at. It had been nine days since the sidekicks and Red X had stormed the Cadmus research building. Out of that fiasco they found a teenaged clone of Superman and an entirely new manmade species called Genomorphs.

At the moment Superboy was staying with Wally West and his parents while Mount Justice was being cleared up and restored. Superman had made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with the boy. Batman would have taken the young clone in, but only as a last resort. Most of the League didn't know who he and Robin were and he fully intended to make sure that number didn't change anytime soon. Superboy obviously couldn't go to Atlantis with Aqualad and Miss Martian was staying with her uncle in the Watchtower. As for Red X, well most of the League weren't willing to let the angry clone stay with the riskiest member of the team.

While Batman would be one of the first to agree that Red X was distant, he did not agree in the League's opinion that the kid was an outsider like most believed. Red X may not be the most social of heroes, but he'd proven himself to be reliable when there the situation called for it. There were many times Batman thought about how the incident with Cadmus could have happened differently if Red X hadn't been there to lend his support.

"Batman, the energy is converging in Jump City." Zatara said dragging the Dark Knight out of his thoughts. "Should I contact the rest of the League?" Batman silently shook his head in response.

"We don't know if this creature is malevolent. The energy involved is, but what about the lifeform? You didn't sense anything evil?" He asked and the magician shook his head somewhat hesitantly.

"No, they just feel… lost." There was a weighty pause following that admission. "Would you like to send the Titansinstead?" Zatara asked, unable to keep the amusement out of his tone. Batman resisted the urge to roll his eyes, even though he knew the man wouldn't see it.

Soon after the team had met for the first time, Kid Flash had been adamant that they should have a name. Surprisingly Red X had been the one to come up with the team's name, the Titans. Some of the League members were a little miffed that the name didn't hold any similarity to that of the Justice League and blamed Red X even though the team had put it to a vote. It had been a unanimous decision.

"No, they may be an established team, but they haven't had the chance to work on their coordination. I know someone who's in Jump City that can check it out without being seen. If there is any trouble, be prepared to call the League in." Batman stated as he moved out of the room, leaving Zatara to monitor the energy source. Once the door closed behind him, he activated his comlink to call the hero he had in mind.

|JUMP CITY
|2010 July 13, 00:00 PDT

A sinister looking portal, a swirling mass of inky black, not unlike a black hole, outlined in blood red energy, opened in an alleyway in downtown Jump City, letting someone fall into the world. She hit the cold, somewhat wet concrete hard, coughing and gagging for air, feeling as though she hadn't breathed in years. The young female shivered harshly, struggling to pull herself up onto her hands and knees, her long tattered dark blue cape trailing beneath her. She looked around the area she'd landed in and drew a blank as to how she got there.

The last thing Raven remembered was the stinging of her wrists and the warm dampness of her sleeves as her blood soaked in. She had done it on top of Titans' Tower in the middle of the night. At the end of it all, she'd felt cold and so very tired, but also triumphant because she'd known that she'd stopped the Prophecy from happening, that her friends would be safe. And yet, here she was… She should be dead, not alive and kneeling in some random alleyway.

As Raven slowly stood up, she had to lean against the wall as a dizzy spell overtook her and her legs trembled underneath her. Maybe she'd been found by one of the others before it was too late and they'd saved her? The blood loss would explain why she was so dizzy, but not why she was in an alleyway. Hesitantly, Raven looked down at her wrists, noticing the identical scars shinning slightly due to the city lights. She studied them, morbidly wondering if it was her own healing abilities that had prevented her death. Had she unconsciously teleported herself too?

She gulped back frustration and tears. Not even taking her own life would stop the Prophecy.

With a shaky sigh, Raven pulled out her communicator to call the Titans when she stopped, alarmed as she saw the state her communicator. It was covered in rust, its bright yellow paint faded and the small antenna was missing. Raven pushed back the sudden rise of panic that threatened to overwhelm her and banished the emotion to the far corners of her mind. Emotions were bad; she had to keep herself under control. She pulled herself into her meditative stance, floating a little closer to the ground than she would have liked, and breathed in deeply.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos." She had to repeat the chant for a few minutes until she finally had control of herself. Raven knew that she did not have enough power to fly to the Tower, and with her communicator as it was, she wouldn't be able to call the others for help. Fortunately, she had enough strength left to reach out to someone telepathically. Raven concentrated her energy and tried to contact the one person that she knew would hear her no matter how far away he was.

'Robin, can you hear me?'

~Young Justice: Red X~

|OLD HAUNT
|2010 July 13, 00:06 PDT

Red X stood absolutely still, not even daring to breathe for fear of reenacting what had just happened. It couldn't be, it wasn't possible. She was dead, gone and had been for one year exactly. His lack of sleep was taking its toll, causing his mind to hear things that weren't really there. Raven wasn't alive.

'Robin, are you there?'

He wasn't going to respond, he couldn't. Not after the months of searching through her room to find a way to bring her back, not after the countless hours spent meditating to find her. Hoping that she was just locked away and kept hidden from him because of Trigon, but it sounded like her, and he desperately wanted that voice to belong to Raven.

'Raven– is that you?' He thought back in a mere whisper, praying that he would get an answer this time. After Raven's death, when Trigon had risen and he, along with Slade, were the only people not petrified, Robin had… felt Raven in the back of his mind. It was only for brief moments, in the instances where her magic had shot out of him with.

Slade had theorized that Raven had transferred her powers into him, which was probably been the reason why he hadn't turned to stone like the others. Her powers were not something he could call on or control, they'd had a mind of their own, usually only awakening when he was in trouble. Her familiar dark energy would wrap around him like a protective cloak, blocking attacks he couldn't, sometimes healing his injuries, and on direr occasions, her iconic raven form would swoop him and Slade away to somewhere safe.

And through it all, in those moments where he could practically feel her hovering beside him, he had reached out to her every time. His thought process at the time had been that if he could just reach her, maybe he could bring her back. In all honesty, he wasn't sure how sane he'd been during those dark days where the world had ended.

'Yes Robin, it's me. I'm… in an alleyway, though I can't be sure if I'm still in Jump. My communicator is rusted over for some reason and I feel weak, really weak. What happened Robin? The last thing I remember is–' Red X heard Raven cut herself off and he could only imagine her next few words, what she was recalling.

His own mind was quick to flashback to that day. He remembered coming out that early morning, ready to watch the sunrise like he usually did. He remembered her crumpled form on the roof and his first stupid thought was that she must've fallen asleep. He recalled, with perfect clarity, gasping at the sight of blood once he got closer. His heart had stuttered in his chest as he screamed her name and raced forwards. His gloved hands had carefully picked her up, masked eyes frantically searching for any wounds. Stilling instantly when he spotted her wrists. The yellow of his cloak turning a dark red as he tied it around her wrists. Screaming for the Titans, for the League, for Batman. His bare fingers desperately searching for a pulse–

'Robin! W-What's wrong?!' Her stilted shout jerked him outhis memories, and he found he was nearly hyperventilating. 'T-This t-turmoil, i-it's overwhelming!'

'Give me a second.' He managed to think back, bringing a hand to his chest and able to his heart pounding through his Kevlar.'I just need a second.' She didn't demand answers, even though he knew she wanted to. Raven merely stayed a comforting presence hovering in the corner of his mind. It took him a moment to calm himself physically, but his mind was an agitated whirl of thoughts and questions. 'Stay where you are, I'll try to track your location through your communicator. There's a lot I have to tell you.' X said after a minute, though he wasn't sure how he was going to accomplish that. While he'd kept his communicator, it was currently locked away in his Blüdhaven base. And she'd said it was rusted over, would it even be able to put out a signal in that state?

"Red X, this is Batman, do you copy?" The teen only gave a small twitch at the intruding voice coming from his comlink. He resisted the urge to growl. The man could not have called at a worse time.

"What do you want?" X snarled before inwardly cringing at his own tone. Even he knew that was uncalled. "You've caught me a bad time." His voice was noticeably softer, a terrible attempt at an apology.

"We have a situation in Jump City. Zatara has sensed something appearing downtown through supernatural means. We don't know who or what we're dealing with so be observe it covertly. If this thing turns out to be a threat call the League for backup." Batman replied, not sounding offended or even angry. X furrowed his eyebrows in thought. If Zatara had sensed Raven's presence, then why hadn't the League known about his own arrival into this dimension?

"How did you know I was in Jump City, Bats?" Red X had to ask. He thought no one knew where any of his bases were. Foolish, he should've expected that he couldn't completely hide anything from Batman, different dimension of not.

"I also know that you have properties located in Blüdhaven, Gotham, Metropolis and Star City, John Strike." Batman continued without answering, using that stoic and unimpressed tone that X was infinitely familiar with. It set his teeth on edge and he had to resist the urge to punch something. Not even his secret identity had remained a secret. "I also know that John Strike isn't your real name."

'Of course you do.' Red X glared up at the ceiling of his base in annoyance. He had hoped to hide more than just who he really was from Batman, but at least he was confident that the Dark Knight would never figure that out without a blood sample.

"What did I do wrong?"

"Using the Justice League to create your civilian identity was your first mistake. You underestimated Robin's abilities in detecting other hackers. I kept an eye out for anyone getting treatment in East End matching your injuries." Batman paused, as if he wanted to say something else, but decided against it. "You bought several unique properties under your alias and none of them were the type a typical seventeen-year-old would be interested in." Suddenly the man's tone grew sterner. "I'm concerned about your partnership with Luthor."

"Well you know what they say Bats, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. My business with Luthor gives me the chance to look over his ledgers for any inconsistences. So far, he's kept pretty clean, to a certain level at least. I don't have access to all of his records, yet." He answered evenly while smirking underneath his mask.

"You have a foothold in Luthor's company? I thought it was just a publicity stunt on his part?" The caped crusader questioned, sounding impressed and Red X knew why. Bruce Wayne had never been able to infiltrate Luthor's corporation; he didn't want to besmirch his family's name by involving his company with anything criminal. That X a teenager with no connections, had managed to get into Lex Corp after only a month was nothing short of amazing.

"Initially our association was nothing more than an act to pander to the public, but after some investments on my part, Luthor and I have discussed opening more Strike Medicare manufacturing plants. If things go as I plan, I should be on the board of Luthor's main investors within the next year or two." He answered coolly, unable to keep a twinge of pride out of his voice.

"Impressive." Batman complimented simply, smirking slightly at the silence that answered him. He had come to realize that Red X became rather awkward when he was praised for something he'd done. It was encouraging to know that Red X wasn't as cold as he made himself out to be. Unseen by Batman, the teenager subconsciously stood up straighter than before, his shoulders raising up, broadening his stance as he held his head a little higher without even realizing it.

"I'll go check out what we're dealing with Batman."

~Young Justice: Red X~

|JUMP CITY
|2010 July 13, 00:12 PDT

He arrived at the coordinates Batman had provided for him within minutes, an area that turned out be only ten blocks away from the Old Haunt. Below him X could see her, sitting in her signature meditative stance, waiting for the leader of the Teen Titans to show up. He slowly took off his Red X mask and paused for a second to feel the wind hit his face. It had been months since he'd felt such a sensation.

Sure he'd been outside as John Strike, but he missed the strong winds that came from being on the rooftops. He missed the night's air ruffling his hair as he crouched down to look through the streets for criminals. Most of all, he missed being Robin. He let the moment pass and allowed the wistful memories, unanswered wishes, go with it.

He dropped down into the alleyway and approached his revived teammate. He still couldn't get over it, seeing her there like she'd never gone away. She wasn't a dream or a hallucination. She was alive, she was here. He could actually talk to her again, reach out and touch her. That heavy and horrible feeling buried deep in his chest, that hole that had been in him ever since he'd found her dead on the Tower's roof, began to fade a little.

"Raven…" He called out, his voice shook more than he would have liked, but it was Raven and she was supposed to be dead. She stood up, her hood hiding her face in shadows like always, and stood on pale, unsteady legs. Her cape was tattered and faded, like the rest of her outfit, but riddled with tears and holes. With her pale gray skin and ruined clothes, she looked like a person arisen from the dead. As fitting as that comparison was, Red X could only think about the day they'd buried Raven.

Unsurprisingly, it had been Starfire who had cried the longest and the hardest. He had held her tightly throughout the procession, one had rubbing her back in an attempt at comfort as she sobbed into his shoulder. All of the Titans had cried at her funeral, though his mask had soaked up his tears before they could fall. Unfortunately, they didn't have long to grieve. Not even twenty-four hours after laying Raven in the ground, Slade had attacked with an army of fire imbued creatures.

The Titans had fought back more viciously than they ever had before. Beast Boy had been a raging form of anger, descending on their enemies in the forms of different predators, tearing through them with claws and fangs. Cyborg had held nothing back, blasting and smashing anything that fell within his line of sight, utilizing the Tower's defense systems as a veritable weapon. Starfire had channeled that righteous fury at their enemies, the night sky had glowed green with the light of her Starbolts. Robin had been too incensed to notice all of this at the time though, too caught up in his own rage. He fought, kicking and punching and striking out with his staff or disk grenades. When his staff broke he pulled out his collapsible birdarang sword, something he didn't usually use. It was easy to kill someone with a sword, all it would take was one miscalculation and he would go past the point of no return.

He hadn't cared if he did kill someone at that point.

For all their ferocity though, it didn't matter. In the end, Slade and his army defeated them and left with Raven's body. Trigon rose and the world ended. He'd spent days, weeks, maybe even months, in that Armageddon with only Slade for an ally. Time had been impossible to track, the sky had constantly been on fire, giving no break to day or night. Everything had been destroyed. All types of machines were rusted over, buildings were dilapidated, sulfur and soot covered the ground, the plant life left blackened and dead.

When they'd finally defeated Trigon and the world was restored, it was like it never happened to everyone else. The Titans were aware that they'd failed, but not that they'd been turned to stone, the last thing they remembered was the initial wave of fire that had sot outwards upon Trigon's release. The world had ended, but it hadn't. Needless to say it had been a rough transition for the leader of the Teen Titans.

"Robin, what?" Again Raven's voice had to bring him back to reality. "Is that you? You've changed… and your costume… Why are you dressed like Red X?" She asked slowly, her usually apathetic tone filled with confusion. He held back a flinch. Nobody had called him Robin in months. The name that he'd worn so proudly now seemed like a taboo to hear out loud.

"Let's get back to base Raven, a lot of things have changed since you–" Red X stopped himself, unable to finish his sentence out loud. 'A lot of things have changed since you killed yourself.'

"…I'm too weak to fly." He could see that. Even standing seemed to exhaust her. He quickly walked towards her, offering his hand and she took it without any hesitation. It was a little startling for X; no one in this dimension had looked at him with that amount of trust. He tucked her close to his side, frowning. Had she always been this small? Using his grappling gun rather than teleporting, they shot off into the night, he carrying her bridle style till they reached the secret entrance to the Old Haunt.

"Robin, this isn't the Tower." Raven said plainly and he could practically hear the unasked questions. Why had they come here? Where were the other Titans? Why had he changed so much? Red X could only imagine how disconcerting everything must be for her. To Raven it must seem like no time had passed at all. How was he going to explain everything to her? They weren't even in their dimension anymore.

"Raven, it's been a year since you– We can't go to the Tower because it doesn't exist here." He laid his hand on a seemingly normal part of the bricked wall, only for a portion of the wall to fold away, replaced with an electric keypad underneath. Putting in the passcode, 040101, the wall split apart, revealing a steel enforced airlock door. It slid open, granting them entrance into the Haunt. "Raven, this isn't our world, we're in a different dimension."

"What? How?" Her voice held no emotion in it, but Red X wasn't fooled.

"I'm going to try to explain this as best as I can, but there are something's that I don't know, like how you're still alive. You were dead, but you're here and it shouldn't be possible. Then again, the Titans probably think I'm dead too." He started to pace in front of his chair, too wound up with energy to stay still. Raven stood completely still, waiting for her answers. "After you… died, Slade was sent by Trigon to get your remains." He paused at Raven's gasp, but didn't turn to look at her. "I know Raven, I know about the Prophecy and why you did what you did, but it didn't work. Trigon was able to use your body as a portal to enter our world and everyone, except for myself and Slade, were turned to stone. Together, he and I defeated Trigon, though I have you to thank for that. Trigon said that you gave me some of your powers before you died, which was how I was able to beat him." He trailed off here, mouth feeling dry.

There was so much more he wanted to explain. Trigon and Raven's death hung over him like a dark shadow. He had never been able to tell the others what he'd gone through. Raven would have a better understanding, he knew. He wanted to confess those horrors, terror, futility, and the doubt that had gnawed at him near constantly. But as he glanced at her, seeing her horrified face, her weak trembling form, he knew he couldn't burden her with his demons. Not when she'd sacrificed everything to make sure it wouldn't happen.

"Three months ago, about nine months after your death, the Brain opened up another Black Hole and the only way to stop it was to destroy it from the inside out. I had to shut it down. I didn't think I would survive, but when I woke up, I found myself in this dimension. I took the name Red X since there's already a Robin here, and I've been fighting crime on my own until a week ago. They have the same heroes here as in our world. Same Superman, same Robin, same Batman and then they have heroes that we've never met before like Superboy, Miss Martian and a different Aqualad. Recently a new team of younger heroes has been formed and I've… decided to join them. They're called the Titans." He waited here, for Raven's benefit. She had returned to her meditative stance, chanting under her breath, and he gave her the time she needed to calm down before he continuing.

"After you contacted me, Batman called. The Justice League know that something, you, entered their world, but I haven't even told them about myself. I don't plan to either. I'm not sure what to do…" X trailed off before he finally looked towards Raven.

Her hood was down now, but her face betrayed nothing of what she was probably feeling. As he studied her, he couldn't help but feel that was something different about her. Maybe it was because he hadn't seen her for a year, but Raven looked young, younger then he remembered.

"It'll be okay Robin, Red X." She corrected herself. "Contact the League. If I'm going to join the Titans then they need to know about me, right?" Raven asked softly as she gave him a small smile, but he still noticed the tears gathering in the corner of her eyes.

Unsure of what to do, he turned away and contacted Batman.

~Young Justice: Red X~

|2010 July 13, 00:46 PDT

Red X was there to greet Batman, Zatara, J'onn, and Black Canary as they arrived outside an abandoned. The teen let them in silently where the Dark Knight got a look at the teen's base. The security measures were adequate, gears and mechanisms turned in the background, catwalks hung above. It was impressive. The factory was outfitted with the latest tech, the same used by the League, and he could spot several vastly different training areas throughout the base. It was quite an achievement for a seventeen-year-old that didn't have the same resources he did.

He then spotted the girl, who Batman guessed was around the age of fifteen, dressed in torn and faded clothes. Her hood covered her face in shadows and she certainly looked dark, but evil was not a word that he would've used to describe her. She simply looked tired and worn. From the corner of his eye Batman saw Black Canary give the girl a onceover, her solid front breaking into concern for a second before it became impassive once again. Dinah always did have a soft spot for kids, especially teenage girls.

"I take it you're the source of the dark energy Zatara sensed earlier?" The caped crusader questioned and the girl nodded. "Who are you? Why are you here?" It did not escape his notice the way the girl's eyes sought out Red X, nor the how the masked teen tensed when he'd spoken to her.

"My name is Raven. I came here to be reunited with a friend." The girl answered as she nodded towards Red X. The masked teenager didn't so much as twitch as everyone's attention switched to him, rather the boy leaned in closer to the girl in an almost protective manner. Batman narrowed his eyes in suspicion.

"And how do you two know each other?" He probed the two who seemed far too tense to not be hiding something, though Red X was doing a better job of it than the girl.

"I told you I used to have a team, she was one of them. We– I thought she was dead." Red X said simply and Raven lowered her head. Red X had never said it, but Batman had suspected that the team he used to lead were all deceased. To have one of his teammates seemingly come back from the grave must be very emotionally trying.

"There was a Black Hole and someone needed to close it from the other side…" Raven trailed off and Red X twitched, his cool composure cracking for a second. "I'm not sure how I'm still alive, I was certain I was going to die."

'J'onn, is she telling the truth?' Batman asked through the telepathic link that the Martian had setup before they'd entered Red X's hideout.

'There is no falsehood to her words Batman, but there is something off about them. I can at least detect that she means us no harm and does truly wish to help Red X. It is her emotions that concern me, she is grieving. I can sense that her powers are deeply connected to her state of mind. She needs training or else she will become a danger to herself and those around her.' J'onn answered as he slipped past the girl's mental barriers. He could not do more than touch the surface of her thoughts, for if he went deeper, she would no doubt sense him.

She was a sad being, and not entirely human from what he could tell. J'onn knew that much from looking at her mind. Her powers were nothing like he had ever seen before and her strength in the defensive mind arts were very good, but she appeared to be a novice when it came to controlling her emotionally based powers. Considering she seemed to be self-taught, her powers were at an extraordinary level, but she was far from mastering them. She was a lonely creature by nature, much like Red X, and both tried hard to distance themselves from their emotions.

'She looks lost to me.' Black Canary commented to the others as she studied the young girl. Dinah knew what it was like to have little control over your powers. She could still remember how horrified she'd felt when she had almost made her entire pre-school class deaf. 'Red X knows her and she said she's here to help, I say we give her a chance.'

'None of you may be able to sense it since you have ties to magic, but I feel something dark emanating from this child. The evil is not coming from her, but channeling through her. It's strange, to my senses she feels like a portal, much like the one that brought her into this world.' Zatara added as he studied the girl before them. A part of him, the part that he suspected to be his parental side, agreed with Dinah though. Raven did indeed look like a lost child who needed help.

'Could it be a side effect from traveling through the Black Hole she told us about? I'm pretty sure people weren't meant to travel that way. It could've messed with her powers or something.' Black Canary argued, feeling the need to defend the girl.

'It is possible, there is no telling how it would affect her or her magic.' Zatara consented. He had nothing against the girl, but there was just something off about her. It was just a feeling. He could tell that Raven herself was not evil, but he could see that she'd been marked by something truly malevolent.

'Either way, it would be best to keep her close to monitor her. I'm willing to give her a chance, even if she's not telling us everything. Everyone is entitled to their own secrets.' Batman said sternly and the other League members knew that the discussion was over.

"What are your abilities?" The Dark Knight inquired aloud, it sounded more like an order than anything else.

"I have the power of telepathy, telekinesis, levitation, and an ability I call Soul-Self. It allows me to teleport myself and others and help heal injuries done to the body or mind. I'm also able to learn and wield magic, but I unfortunately I've had little chances to expand my knowledge in that area. My powers are tied to my emotions." Raven summarized indifferently.

'She's telling the truth.' J'onn verified without any prompting.

"Can you vouch for her?" The Dark Knight asked Red X, who nodded in reply.

"I can, but that won't mean much for the League." Red X muttered and the older heroes did not need for him to elaborate. It was common knowledge that the masked teen was not on great terms with half of the League. His vote of confidence for Raven could possibly do more harm than good.

"Here's how it works. We put you on probation. If you pass you can join Red X and the other Titans. Probation will consist of you being taken in by a member of the League; they'll train you to become a better heroine and they'll decided whether you pass or not. Do you accept?" Batman stated, his firm tone leaving no room for arguments. The girl's eyes sought out Red X's and Batman saw him give her a slight nod.

"Who would my mentor be?" Raven asked, hoping that it wasn't going to be the Martian Manhunter. She didn't want to risk the truth about who Robin was, nor did she want the League to know about here origins. And she knew that the Martain Manhunter was very adept in telepathy. Her lie about the Black Hole had been a loophole as she'd never actually said that she'd been the one to go through it, only hinted it. She didn't think she could keep up such a ruse all the time.

"Well, I have been looking for a partner for a while now." Black Canary offered, smiling as she got a nod of agreement from Batman. 'Black Canary and Raven, hmm, that does have a nice ring to it.' Dinah thought as she sent the young teenager a small smile. "First things first though, we need to get you some new clothes."

~Young Justice: Red X~

Okay so we finally got Raven into the story, but she won't have her missions with the Titans for a while still. I teamed Raven up with Black Canary for many reasons. Canary has the most interaction with the team more than any other adult and this'll give Raven the chance to interact with them more. Another reason is because Canary is a genius at close combat and hand-to-hand has proven to be Raven's weak point. Finally, as we've seen from a couple of episodes, Canary is very good with the kids. I have no doubt her understanding nature will be very good for Raven.

Considering that the League accepted Superboy, a clone made an evil organization, giving Raven a chance didn't seem like to far of a stretch to me. Raven won't join the team for a while, but there will be some occasions where she'll join the Titans or Red X on a few missions. She'll kind of be like what Zatana was at the beginning. The reason for why Zatara didn't sense Red X entering their dimension is because X came to their world through scientific means, not magic.
