New chapter. I uh, yeah. I don't know how many of you are still out there and still willing to read this, even. But, for those of you willing to come back, I'd like to apologize for how long it took me to get this up. I've been dealing with a lot of shit recently. So, here the chapter and I really hope you enjoy it. God knows it's been a while in the making. I don't own Hetalia or Supernatural and never will.

The sleek, black Impala pulled up in front of the morgue, the two men inside stepping out quickly. Lovino glared at his taller companion before he walked toward the door to the small brick building. Dean followed him, sighing deeply. The two slipped into the cool, air conditioned building and walked up to the front desk. Lovino flashed his badge at the young secretary.

"Oh, good." he said, looking over to Dean as he copied the young Italian's earlier motion. "Um, the doctor is expecting you. She's waiting back in the lab with the…the body."

"Has this body done anything strange since being brought in? It's important that you tell us anything you know."

"Um, no. But I haven't seen it, since I'm not the doctor…" The assistant looked at him warily for a moment then looked down at Lovino. "Weren't you with another agent…yesterday?"

"Yes." Lovino said. "This agent is a trained forensics experts. The bureau sent him in to look at the body. My partner is following up on another lead right now."

"I guess that makes sense…" he said, then motioned toward the back. "Please, the doctor is waiting for you. We need your help to handle this situation."

The two alleged federal agents made their way down the hallway and into the morgue. Walking into the chilled room, they were met with the doctor standing apprehensively beside the body which was laid on a silver metal table. The chest was cut open and the mortician was preparing a bone saw to cut into the ribs. She stopped these preparations, however, when she noticed her company.

"Agents," she greeted, setting her tool down and walking over to them. She removed her gloves, tossing them into the trash can, and offered her hand to shake.

After the pleasantries were done, Dean walked over to the body and looked it over with an investigative eye. Nothing seemed at all abnormal about the body, but that didn't offer up anything definitive to the trained hunter. The doctor and Lovino walked over, joining him. Dean turned and looked at the much shorter woman.

"What can you tell me about this body in particular? Are there any differences between it and the others?" he asked, letting his serious demeanor take over. "Even small details could help us, so don't leave anything out."

"Well…it has been sitting for at least a day," she answered, looking over at Lovino who was examining the body. "Most of the others were found almost immediately. This man died probably close to thirty hours ago."

"So it's already been through a night and not committed any heinous murders?" Lovino questioned, his eyes never leaving the body. He was staring at the fingernails of the man.

"Not that we know of. Listen, if it does…wake up…then we need someone here to try and restrain it. Will you two spend the night?"

"We were already planning on that," Dean said with an encouraging smile. "We would like you and everyone on staff to go home for the night and be safely away from this place in case anything happens. We don't want anyone else getting hurt."

She nodded. "I'll start telling people to get ready to leave now. I hope that you're able to do something. Do you have any idea where the missing body is yet?"

"We have two other agents working on that right now. I promise to do everything we can to help." Dean smiled at the woman. "Please just go ahead and head home. We'll take care of everything here."

The mortician thanked them, then quickly exited the room. Dean turned his eyes back to the body, then to Lovino who appeared to be particularly interested in the hands. "You see something?"

"Maybe…" Lovino picked up the man's hand and a scapel that happened to be lying nearby. He used the metal object to scrape under his nails. "Dirt. There was no mention of dirt under any of the other body's nails. Unless it just wasn't noticed."

"I don't think they would have just…not noticed something like that. Then again…it's possible."

"Unless this body has already gone on it's killing spree."

"No," Dean said thoughtfully. "I don't think so." He lifted the body's arm up and looked at the veins running up the arm. The veins stood out more than usual, dark blue against the man's pale skin. "I don't see anything on the body which would suggest some kind of…witchcraft. I honestly don't know what's going on."

"We should probably get the body tied up before it decides to wake up." Lovino said. "You got any rope or anything we could use?"

"Yeah, in the trunk." Dean quickly fished for the keys from his pocket then handed them to the smaller man. "Here, run out and get it. Bring in a couple of guns, too. And be discreet about it."

Lovino nodded, snatching the keys from his hand then exited the room. Dean watched him go, then sighed and went back to examining the body. He pulled a pair of gloves out of the box and pulled them on before looking into the chest cavity. It didn't take him long to realize there were strange marks along the ribs. To the untrained eye, the marks could have been anything, but to Dean it was very obvious what they were. Enochian.

"Dean…"

The deep, gravely voice pulled him from his thoughts as he looked up into an angel's eyes. "Cas…" Dean gulped slightly, then straightened up, frowning slightly. "What're you doing here?"

"I… I want to help with the case." Castiel tilted his head to the side, eyes boring deep into the man in front of him. "I owe you that much. I think."

"Look Cas, I just need time to figure some things out. And I don't need you hanging around all the time. When I want to talk to you, I'll just pray to you or something. Until then, just let me be, alright?"

The angel looked down at the body, eyes almost immediately zeroing in on the writing on the ribs. "Enochian? Why is there…?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out. Don't worry about it. This is our case…" Dean turned around and pulled the gloves off his hands. He walked over and dropped them into the trashcan. When he turned back around, Castiel was right in front of him, gazing into his eyes almost fervently.

"Dean, I…"

"Cas…"

They both began to speak at the same time, but trailed off. Dean could feel his body beginning to buzz with emotions, drawing him nearer to the angel. He tilted his head down, forehead connecting with the other's. He licked his lips nervously.

"What the fuck?" Lovino asked, standing in the doorway. His arms were full of the supplies he'd brought from the car, his jaw hanging low.

Dean and Cas both whipped their heads around to look at the younger man, neither saying a word. Dean quickly stepped away from the other and straightened his suit jacket, then walked over and took the rope from the Italian's hands.

"You two…you're…what the fuck?" Lovino just stared between the two as Dean ignored him and walked over to the body again. Castiel stared at the ground, the place Dean had been standing a moment before. "Well? Someone had better explain this like, right now, cause I'm not in the mood for playing games. Are you two…like together?"

"No." Dean said, starting to tie the body down. "Hell no. Do I look like I'm… It doesn't matter."

Castiel didn't say anything, not moving from his stance. Lovino walked over to Dean, watching him work. He set down the guns, looking up at the man in disbelief. "Hey, if you're gay…or bisexual or whatever, I don't care. I just don't want you distracted. Cause, when people are distracted working on a case like this…people get hurt, you know?"

Dean looked down at the younger man. "I promise, I'm not distracted. And no one is going to get hurt. Now just drop it, okay?"

Lovino shrugged, sighing, then walked over to a chair in the corner and sat down. Castiel slowly moved over to Dean again, looking at the body. "Before I go," the angel whispered, "would you at least like to know what's written on those ribs?"

"It'd be helpful, yeah." Dean whispered back, not even looking at the other.

"It just says, "Awaken". No special spell or anything. Just awaken over and over again."

"Thanks, Cas…" Dean, finished tying the last knot. "Look…" He looked up, but realized the angel was gone. "Dammit," he whispered, to himself mostly. However, he was loud enough for Lovino to pick up on it from his place across the room.

"You really have it bad for that angel."

"Shut up."

"You do! It's obvious." Lovino smirked a bit. "I'm Italian, we can tell when someone's in love."

"Listen you…" Dean said, looking over to the smaller man. "Whatever there is between me and Cas is my business and no one else's. Especially not yours." He turned, leaning back on the table. "Besides…isn't there something going on between you and that new friend you've got. Maybe you should be concerned with your own relationships."

"Antonio? No…" Lovino looked away. "He may want something, but I don't."

"Really?"

Lovino looked at him for a moment, then stood up and walked to the other side of the room. "Maybe not. I don't know. I'm scared of getting close to the idiota because if I do then…he'll get hurt, or worse. That's what happens to people I love."

"Yeah… I know the feeling…"

Lovino stared at the ground for a moment, brow furrowing with thought, then he quickly looked over at his companion who was frowning deeply. "So…what now? We just wait for the body to wake up and then…?"

"Uh, then we try and make it dead again." Dean shrugged. "I'm gonna leave that chest open and hope that kills it in itself. But, I don't know. Cas says there's Enochian, an angelic language, written on the ribs. It says Awaken. So, I guess that's pretty self-explanatory."

"So, now we wait?"

"Yeah…" Dean turned around and stared at the body with a withering expression. "Now we wait."
