A/N: This story will be told through alternating letters and scenes from Josephine's travels. While playing Inquisition I found that three particular very minor characters stood out to me in some way, because of their manner and voices, and I wanted to expand on their role a little, and write a sweet and hopefully humorous story which involved the lovely Josephine.

I would like to warn you in advance that I might be very slow at updating, as I have several projects on the go.

If you are still interested, please read on, and I hope you enjoy the story.

Chapter One: A Letter from Leliana

My darling Josie,

I hope you are not too weary of your journey thus far, and that your bones are still intact. I know that travelling by carriage does not agree with you, but as you yourself surely understand better than any of us, the Inquisition must uphold its image.

As well as charming the co-operation out of the more prominent Orlesian families, might I suggest that you pay visits to Orlais' major fortresses and keeps? The soldiers there are the ones we truly have to thank for keeping Orlais from being overrun by the Red Templars and the undead, and for protecting citizens where they could. I am sure that the morale of those brave men and women would be much improved by receiving a visit from your delightful and amiable self.

Furthermore, these military outposts will be key in our efforts to restore peace more widely, helping us rebuild trade routes and keep an eye open for any signs of still-living Red Templars and other enemies.

The three key locations to visit are Fort Revasan in the Exalted Plains, Suledin Keep in the Emprise du Lion, and Griffon Wing Keep in the Western Approach.

Make sure to bring appropriate clothing for each. We cannot have our Ambassador dying of sunstroke in the desert, or frostbite in the Emprise – or even in the Plains, where I've heard it gets very cold – and drizzly – at night.

And before you roll your eyes at me for being overly-protective, or grit your teeth at yet more duties, remember that I miss you already and remain always,

Your loving friend,

Leliana

P.S. Cullen and the others send their love.

P.P.S. Make sure to take some time off and enjoy yourself!
