A/N: I'm very sorry this chapter has taken so long... I'm rather stressed from school and ugh. But here you goooo ^^ 3.
Finn hurriedly left his home along with Jake to follow the trail of flames that Flame Princess had left them. Jake stretched himself into his larger form and pulled Finn onto his back as they then darted towards the Candy Kingdom to stop the wrath of Flame Princess. The look on the boys face was that of pure determination as his one and only thought was on the welfare of the kingdom. As the two ran, the bubblegum pink kingdom began to loom into sight over one of the grassy hills that they crossed. Upon being in sight, Finn and Jake could spot fire ravaging the city. Flame Princess had already done some work whilst the adventurers made their way to the area, and once he had seen the kingdom in flames it just fueled Finn's motive ending the evil that was happening. Finn could wait no longer as he rolled from Jake's back and charged toward the burning kingdom. His first priority was Princess Bubblegum, so he ran as fast as he could to the castle and up to the princesses bedchamber. The blonde stormed into the room only to find the princess huddled close to a wall as the smoke began to pour into the room. "Finn!" She managed to choke out as she saw her hero before immediately letting out coughs. He ran in and whisked her off of her feet and sat her in the smokeless hallway, for now. Faltering, he began to think of ways to annihilate the Flame Princess's ill-deeds. Then- That's when Finn remembered the fireworks that Princess Bubblegum had crafted. He could not help but to grow a smile as he darted off to the laboratory. Finn bounded from hall-to-hall, dodging any flaming obstacles that showed themselves. After a moment the boy made it to the lab and frantically began to search for the fireworks. Minutes began to pass as he searched and he began to become disheartened until he spotted only two fireworks that had been lying in a corner. A sigh of relief emanated from his lips as he picked up the two fireworks and set forth to just outside the castle. Yes, he was not sure if this would work at all but- he had to try.
Once Finn had made it outside the castle he ushered Jake to take as many citizens, and Princess Bubblegum, to safety. He stood still until Jake had began to work on his task and Finn grasped the two illuminators and tied them together with a piece of licorice that he had removed from one of the candy homes. Once the rockets were secured together, Finn lit the lines to the two and jabbed them into the ground so that they may shoot upward. Once done, Finn ran a few feet back and waited for what seemed like eternity until... BOOM! The two fireworks shot directly into the sky where they then exploded into two red and blue flowers. Instead of raining down small sparks though, these particular fireworks began to drizzle water over everything. The droplets coated everything, including Flame Princess who began to let out shrieks in pain. Her once bright flames grew dim as the fires that had covered the city were extinguished. Soon, the majority of fires had been eliminated and Flame Princess fell, defeated, to the ground.
His plan succeeded, and Finn was full of utter bliss. He quickly shook off his enjoyment as he approached the defeated princess. She had grown a gray color once her flames were destroyed and she lied on the ground, limp and barely breathing. Finn knelt to the ground and lifted the princess up, while still wearing his flame-suit, and began to walk out of the kingdom. Though, she had tried to destroy a kingdom, Finn couldn't deny the fact that he still had feelings for her. That was old news though, he had someone else now and was never going to let them go. After awhile Finn had came to the cliff that housed Flame Princess's newly crafted home and he proceeded to enter the adobe and lie the girl onto her bed. A faint smile flickered across his lips as he gazed upon his former lover and he then made his way out of the house and ran towards his own.
Twenty minutes passed until Finn made it to the tree-house and rushed through the doors, immediately ripping off the flame-suit and climbing up the ladder that opened up to the living room.
"Marshall!" Finn exclaimed as he ran into the room and up to the couch that the vampire had been lying on. Once there he knelt down beside his new lover and brought a hand up, placing it onto Marshall's cold, gray skin. He lovingly rubbed the other male's cheek as he sat there. Though, he knew that Marshall had been badly burned from the hold that Flame Princess had acquired on him and he was in fact worried, but at the moment he was just happy to see his lover.
"Hiya, Finny..." Marshall slowly returned the greeting and turned his gaze to face the blonde. Once he felt the hand on his cheek, he just nuzzled into it. Normally, he would worry about coming off as the bad boy- but at this moment he could not care less. He was just happy to see his little human return safely. Marshall shifted himself to where he would face Finn fully, cringing whilst making the movement. "Ah, lump... That chick really burned me, huh?" He let out a small, half-hearted laugh, more-so to ease the blonde's worries.
"Idiot... I'm sorry, dude... I didn't mean to get ya wrapped up in all this lump. You should rest though, okay? I'll stay right here!" Finn allowed a faint smile to trace his lips as he looked at Marshall, but inside he felt just horrid. He never wanted his new boyfriend to attain such injuries, and he knew it was his fault. He quickly shook off those thoughts and continued to rub his lovers cheek.
"Nope. I want you here." Marshall stated before he abruptly pulled Finn up onto the couch to lie next to him. Once the boy was in his grasp, he pulled him close before allowing his eyes to falter shut. "I want you to sleep with me." The vampire murmured softly into Finn's ear.
"Gah..! O-Okay, Marshall!" Finn nodded and allowed his eyes to shut, slowly draping his arms around the vampire.
Soon, the two had drifted off to a comfy slumber, holding one another close. A peaceful end, to a busy day. What is in store for these boys next time?
A/N: I'm sorrrry if this is bad... I kinda suck at dramatic scenes and ugggggghhhhh. .
