An impending war was threatening the Land of Ooo and the sky turned from a robins egg blue to an ashy gray. It was as if it knew what was approaching the kingdom. The radioactive humanoids were making a fast trek towards the kingdom and the Gumball Guardians had assembled into their defense positions as ordered. The kingdom was in chaos as the news spread and Finn readied his grass-sword. It wasn't long after that Jake arrived with Lady and their pups. Every one readied themselves to battle for the safety of their kingdom, no matter what happened. As the wait seemed like hours, the princess had began to gather her candy people and decked the tiny creatures with candy weapons. Of course, she knew they wouldn't harm anything but it made the candy people feel safer.

It was then that even Marceline arrived to help and she had instantly spotted Marshall which caused the vampire queen to scoff at the resemblance of the man. Every one was ready as the radioactive humanoids loomed over the hill. Every where they went, they spilled the acid from the multitude of holes that checkered the humanoid bodies. As soon as the acid dropped to the ground, it formed a tiny crater that continued to spread until the acid finally dissipated. It was horrifying. How much destruction they could cause with just that fluid was endless.

"Wait until they enter the castle' perimeter and then we attack. We must all fight bravely for our kingdom and today will define the destiny of Ooo!" The princess exclaimed as the creatures ventured closer and the battle began.

The Gumball Guardians began to shoot out the lasers that would destroy whatever was in its path, which managed to kill a few of the humanoids. Finn had taken a deep breath before he charged into the battle with Marshall Lee trailing behind with his guitar, that could be used as a weapon if needed. As soon as Finn entered the proximity of the creatures he began to slice through some of them only to see that... Well, they still were able to move. He had no choice but to continuously slice up the creatures with Marshall behind doing the same. It was a war, with no advantages for either side. The creatures continued to pour out from over the hill with no end in sight. Every one was doing their absolute best, even the candy people whose weapons would just scrape the creatures and not do any absolute damage. On the other side of the war zone, Jake and his pups had assumed their formation and twisted to where the creatures were disoriented and their colors changed. This helped just enough for Lady to swoop down and zap the creatures till they diminished. It seemed like a lost cause. The humanoids were difficult to defeat without any weapons other than swords and such.

This was when the Ice King approached and saw the jumbled mess of a battle below him, "HEY! Who is having a party without me!? I'll show you a party!"

The Ice King raised his arms up towards the sky and cause lightening mixed with snow to ravage the battle ground. He then proceeded to shoot ice shards down to the ground, which destroyed some creatures. He just continued to wreak havoc, although he was actually a great help as the never-ending snow caused some humanoids to freeze. Finn used this to his advantage and smashed whatever frozen creatures he possibly could. They had put a significant dent in the amount of creatures but there were still more. Ice King was helping immensely though as he continued to freeze the humanoids with his ice-magic. It was almost a beautiful scene if you looked past the war that was in session. Lasers, ice shards, rainbow beams and different shots from Princess Bubblegum' multitude of weapons illuminated the gray sky as more and more of the humanoids fell. It was looking brighter for the citizens of Ooo as they continued to fall. It was a shock to every one, but they didn't have time to recollect on that right now. They just continued the battle which was already surpassing two hours. There were hundreds if not thousands of creatures that had sought their way to the kingdom only to be destroyed.

Hours passed as they finally destroyed the last creature and the mass of candy people and other citizens erupted into cheering.

"Oh, Ice King! You have helped our kingdom and due to that, I'd like to honor yo with this," The princess stated as she retrieved a medal from Peppermint Butler and gladly placed it over the mans head. "The medal of honor for saving my kingdom and aiding the destruction of the radioactive creatures."

"Oh, hehehehehe! Does this mean you love me Princess? Come on... Gimme a kiss? Please... Just one!" That was when Finn shoved the Ice King out of the way in an attempt to apologize to her.

"Princess... This was all my fault.. I lumped up big time... I almost got the kingdom destroyed.." Finn dropped his head as he spoke, after all he felt terrible.

"Finn... You had no idea they were down there. It's okay, trust me.." She responded with a calm tone as she place her hands on Finn' shoulders. "You're my hero Finn... You're the kingdom' hero as well. You fought valiantly and that is all we could ever ask for."

Her words had cheered him up only slightly and the boy nodded before pulling away from her hold. Right now, he really just want Marshall. So, the boy found Marshall over by the fountain and fell into the vampire' comforting hold.

"Sh, it's okay Finny... It's all over now. You saved the kingdom and that's the best thing a hero can do, dude." Marshall spoke with a friendly undertone as he leaned down to place a loving kiss on top of the blonde' head.

"I know... I just... I know it's my fault. If we hadn't went deeper into that stupid dungeon none of this would have ever happened. I'm sorry I brought you into trouble again Marshall... I'm just a big lump up.." The boy' voice was laced with that of despair and had transitioned into a monotone response.

"Finny, if you're a lump up. Then so am I. You did the right thing, okay?" Marshall grew a frown as he looked down at Finn. The vampire then picked up his smaller lover and flew them back to the tree-house where Marshall sat them both on the couch and pulled Finn onto his lap where he began to stroke that blonde head of hair. All the while, Finn had pretty much grown to cling onto his boyfriend. He was feeling pretty down at the moment and this made him feel so much better.
