It had been quite a few months since Billy, Finn's idol, had passed on. To be honest, Finn was still rather messed up over it. Not too long after was when Finn had seen the vision of his idol in the heavens. In shock, he was told that his father, whom he'd come to know as Martin, was alive. With no hesitation, the blonde did everything he could to try and see his father but all that attempt did was rip a limb form his body. His body was drained as he watched his only living relative leave him again. Overall, Finn was depressed. He lost a limb, a father, an idol, and his happiness in the span of a few months and that could take its toll on a seventeen year old boy.
Drifting through life, he really didn't feel as if anything could help and he was just a lost cause, but Marshall had noticed the change within his lover and he didn't like it. Finn lacked that spark of adventure that burned in his sapphire eyes and instead, it had left them lifeless. He even barely spoke to Marshall for quite awhile an that was when the vampire hd had enough. In one swift motion, he pulled Finn into his arms and whisked him away to an empty clearing. An aggravated expression gracing his features as he looked down to the emotionless being within his arms. Marshall sat Finn atop a stump and that's when he gathered his thoughts enough to speak.
"Listen, Finny. I love ya, but this whole moping around crud has to stop. I know you're upset, but who cares if your deadbeat father left? If you had any sense you'd realize you already have a great family in front of you! I get it, you want an actual family but no matter what, Jake is your brother whether it's by blood or not and BMO is too. Also, you have me! Hah... Unless that means nothing to you."
A glaze over his eyes, Finn stared up at Marshall as he spoke and took a moment for it all to sink in. With a heavy sigh, his eyes darted to the ground as he gathered his thoughts. He never realized how he was making Marshall feel, and if he felt that way it was a given that Jake and BMO did as well.
"I...I'm sorry Marshall. I didn't realize I was making you feel that way. I just... That day messed me up.. He heard me and he still left. He was my dad, and all I want to do is rip off his lumping arms so he knows how it felt. But, I don't want to ever see him again and I guess that's why I'm so messed up. I feel bad because even if he is a jerk, he's my dad. And... I... Never wanted you to feel as if you meant nothing to me, because you do. You're everything to me."
Once he finished speaking, slender legs stood and stepped forward. In a moment, Finn had pulled Marshall into a tight hug, well as tight as he could with one arm. Burying his face into his lovers chest, a sigh escaped his lips. Marshall couldn't help but grin at the other, he was honestly relieved. Moving a hand up, he laced his fingers throughout Finn's blonde locks and leaned down to place a soft kiss upon his head. No matter what Finn did, it made the vampire love him more and that was why he had become so aggravated with the cold-shoulder he'd been receiving. Tangling his hand within the mess of hair, he slowly snaked the other arm around Finn's waist and sighed. Turning his gaze upward, his sapphire eyes locked with Marshall' blood red orbs which cause a faint smile to grace his features. Who knew just a simple embrace could be so relaxing.
"Marshall, I love you. I'm sorry for being a total dweeb. I know you were worried, and... I'm just happy you're here with me now."
"Jeez, shut up dork."
Marshall stated with a grin as he placed his cool lips to Finn's warm forehead which formed a red hue on the boys cheeks. Moving his hand down, he snaked it around Finn's waist as well and pulled his small lover closer. Just seeing Finn smile for the first time in quite awhile was enough to wash away all the worries he had obtained. Although, he usually acted rather harsh, and tricky, being with Finn relaxed the vampire and he could be himself. Which, was a vampire who liked to tease the smaller, but nonetheless. Red orbs gazed down at the blonde before he closed them and leaned down enough so their foreheads would be pressed against one another.
With a smile on his features, Finn let his eyes close as he moved himself closer to Marshall. With slow motions, he began to nuzzle against the vampire which caused him to emit a lowly chuckle. How Finn could be mopey one moment, and the cutest human ever the next left the man perplexed, but he loved it. In all, he loved everything about the human. His laugh, his girlish scream, his hair, eyes, smile, dorky jokes, his love for adventure, and most of all that he was the realest person he's ever met. Finn was never one to do things to be cool, but instead he did the opposite. Finn lived for himself and did what he enjoyed. So, Marshall had fallen for the blonde quite hard. The demon heart for once, has been tamed by the hero.
Finn was the same, he had grown to love everything about the vampire. Cool lips, a low laugh, how he'd tease him at any given moment, how he wasn't afraid to speak his mind, and how he wasn't afraid to do things for fun. Just, every little thing about his taller boyfriend made him fall harder, and harder whenever they were together. But, in the back of his mind he kept the thought that one day he may want to go home to Aaa. Ooo wasn't his home, and Finn knew that but he wanted Marshall to think it was. His human heart couldn't handle it if Marshall left for good. He'd be left with nothing except Jake and that made his heart feel empty. As this thought perpetrated his mind, he hugged the vampire a bit tighter, as much as he could.
"I love you." Finn murmured into the vampires broad chest as his sapphire eyes fluttered open to gaze up at his lover.
"I love you, too... Dork." Marshall stated and cool lips came to press against Finn's warm forehead yet again which put the boy at ease. Hearing those words made him happy, and he was glad. He knew he and Marshall would be together for quite awhile. Through thick and thin, they'd never part one another.
