Okay, here it is, the chapter you've been waiting for. Again, thank you for being so patient with me. This chapter is for thetrueAnnabeth.
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson or any of the charaters in it. I just own this plotline.
Percy clutched the FestusMini in is palm and took a deep breath. He sayed a quick prayer to his father, and to Iris, then he dropped a drachma in the water, and it bubbled up. He imagined the face of Annabeth. Wise Girl. It took a few seconds, leading Percy to doubt a little bit, but kept her image strong in his mind. Finally, after what had felt like an eternity, her face slowly started to appear on the screen of mist. As much as he tried, he couldn't hold back the tears, tears of relief. To see her, standing before him. To know that it was actually her this time. He saw that she had tears in her eyes too.
She wiped her eyes, and smiled, "Hey, Seaweed Brain."
He almost forgot why he was there, until Iris's voice said the piece about inserting another drachma. He immedietly complied.
"We don't have time for this, I'm going to get you out of there."
Her jerked back, alarmed. "What? How!?"
He flashed a smirk, "By doing something extremely dangerous that has never been tried before, at least, I don't think it has."
Before she could say anything, he took a step back, made one more plead to the gods...
And jumped through the mist.
She supposed this was payback for her judo flippiing him years ago. She didn't know what on earth he was doing until suddenly she fell back on the floor.
Holy Hephestaus, he was heavier than he looked.
She didn't know how he did it, but some how he went from Washington D.C. to laying on top of her. She didn't really care.
She ran her fingers through his hair, just to make sure he was real. The toush seemed to remove all doubts he might have had too. He perked up, kissing her suddenly. She returned the kiss. It was the sweetest one they'd ever shared.
It could have lasted forever, if a cough from the doorway hadn't interrupted them.
