Chapter Eight
"Jack, what do you want waffles or pancakes?" JJ asked.
"Pancakes. I want pancakes." Jack replied.
"Pancakes it is for the three of us." JJ added.
He loved watching her with the kids. He walked slowly towards her and put his arms around her.
"No mine!" Corena said.
"I met her before you did." Hotch replied.
Corena began to make a pouting face and extended her arms to be picked up. Jack got up from his chair and gave her a kiss in the cheek. Corena began to laugh. JJ finished making the waffles and putting them on the table for Jack, Hotch and hers. They began to enjoy their breakfast. Jack and Henry were making funny faces at Corena and she would start laughing. JJ handed Hotch a list of what she needed. He walked towards the door and Corena began to cry.
"Dadda no go." She said between sobs.
"Rena, you want to go with me?" Hotch asked.
She looked at JJ and then at Hotch and then she nodded. Hotch walked back to the kitchen table and got her out of her high chair. She started waving at JJ and blowing her kisses. They got to the store and he got everything JJ had put him in the list.
"We are home." Hotch said while carrying Corena.
"Ah my poor baby." JJ said. "Did she cry with you?"
"No she just kept saying her Mommy was home." Hotch replied as he handed JJ Corena.
JJ smiled. "Now I understand why she's acting like she does. Everything started with the pregnancy and how her routine changed."
"I figured out that when she kept repeating 'Mommy home' from the store parking lot till we got fifteen minutes into the drive. There was silence and I looked through the mirror and she was already asleep."
"She's still Daddy's little girl." JJ said.
JJ kissed her daughter cheek and walked towards her room and put her in the crib. She walked out and Hotch was already putting down his things in their place.
"Mommy, I thirsty. I juice." He heard Henry say.
"Who wants to go to the park?" Hotch asked.
"Me!" Henry said.
They got ready to head out to the park. JJ started getting water bottles into the ice chest. She texted the whole team and Jess to be at the park.
"Momma, can we play ball?" Jack asked.
"Yes of course go and bring your ball. I'm about to show you some tricks."
"Cool!" Jack answered as he ran to his room and got his ball.
Hotch got the little ones in the car and help get everything into the car. She began to get texts from the team letting her know who was taking what to eat and drink.
"So who's ready to have some fun?" Hotch asked as he parked in the parking lot.
"Me!" The three kids screamed.
"Sh. The babies are sleeping!" JJ replied.
Everyone got quiet. After turning off the engine of the car Hotch got off and got the double stroller for the twins while JJ got Corena and Jack helped Henry down. Rossi was already there turning on the fire for the burgers and hotdogs. Just as Hotch got to the spot Ashley and Erik got there too.
"Hi." Ashley said.
"Hello." Rossi replied.
"How are you feeling?" Hotch asked noticing the tension.
"I'm doing well not a lot of morning sickness." Ashley replied.
Morgan, Prentiss and Garcia got there with their own dishes. Jess got there too. Few minutes after them Reid and Dayna got there with the plates, knives, forks, spoons and trash bags.
"Bainbridge." Erik answered the phone. "No it's family related."
Corena wanted to get down. JJ let her down and Corena ran towards Dayna. JJ smiled.
"She's going to be overprotective with the baby." JJ said.
Morgan being Corena's favorite after Hotch tried getting her away. Corena would smile and say no.
"Oh the charms aren't working anymore?" Reid asked.
Morgan was about to retort with something but he remembered that children were present.

"Momma, let's play soccer." Jack said.
JJ and Jack played soccer. Henry for a while cheered from the sidelines but then said he wanted to play too. Corena who was like her mom, in the athletic department refused to get down from Dayna's arms to play.
"You're leaving?" JJ asked as she walked towards them.
"Yes we have to be at his Mom's place before dinner. We promised and it's a long drive." Ashley replied.
"Well, have a safe drive." JJ said. "I bet she's going to get excited."
"Oh believe me she will." Ashley said laughing. "Thanks for inviting us JJ."
"You're welcomed."
"See you all Wednesday."
Rossi was very quiet and pensive. JJ didn't know what to say.
"Mommy, I thirsty." Henry said.
JJ opened the ice chest and gave pour water into his zippy cup. She did the same for Corena and got a bottle water for Jack.
"Momma, I'm thirsty too." Jack said.
JJ handed him the water bottle and gave the zippy cup to Corena. They all got ready for their lunch.
"I'm still wondering how rich his Mom is." Prentiss replied.
"Oh give it a rest, Princess." Morgan replied.
"Bainbridge, Bainbridge, Bainbridge." Reid kept thinking.
"Corazón, bridgebain." Dayna replied.
"Oh that's true. I have no idea why it didn't click in."
"What are you two talking about?" Hotch asked.
"Emily you're wondering how she's rich well she and her husband own a restaurant." Reid responded.
"Wait that means Ashley met her future Mother-in-law before she met Erik." Dayna replied.
"How do you two know about that restaurant?"
"I knew she had been in Virginia Beach at one time and I asked her if she knew any good restaurants around and she told me about Bridgebain."
"I think it will be save to change topic." JJ said.
"How is it going with having a bunch of kids wanting your attention and work demanding your 100 percent?"
"Well, at least I don't have uneven hours." JJ replied.
"Touché."
After playing and having lunch at the park they all left to their own places. She noticed the silent and looked back and both boys were sleeping.
"They've had a long day." Hotch said.
"I can see." JJ replied.
"You should rest too." Hotch said.
"I'm going to sleep for a little while." JJ said and walked towards their bedroom.
When JJ woke up two hours had passed. She was hungry and she could hear the kids laughing. She knew her kids were having fun with their Dad.
"Mommy!" Henry stated and ran towards her.
"Hello Henry." JJ said.
"Mommy!" Corena said and ran towards her too.
"Hi baby."
She looked at Hotch. He just smiled.
"They been asking for you."
"I've noticed. What about the twins?"
"They're sleeping Momma." Jack answered.
"I just finished cooking dinner." Hotch said. "Jack, can you help me put the table?"
"Yes Daddy." Jack replied.
"I want to help too." Henry said.
Jack gave Henry something to do. After they had cleared the table and washed the dishes. Hotch took Henry and Corena with him to the other room. JJ knew something was wrong with Jack. JJ made motions to Jack to follow her and sit on the sofa to talk to her.
