Chapter Nine

JJ and Hotch enjoyed not having cases for the whole weekend. Hotch's phone began to ring.

"Hotchner."

"Sir, Milwaukee PD called us they found another body and both of them show the same M.O."

"Call the rest of the team and contact Ashley she might be back already. I'm on my way."

"Yes Sir." Garcia said.

He got up and began to change. He said goodbye to his little ones and then left. He arrived at the BAU and headed straight to the roundtable room.

"Sorry to wake you all up so early but Milwaukee PD seems to have a serial killer in their hands." Garcia said.

"What happened?" Ashley asked entering the building. "Sorry for being late but I just got here."

Garcia told them and showed them the pictures about the bodies they found and the Unsub had abducted two more.

Hotch got up. "Wheels up in thirty minutes. We have a few hours before we save them."

"Nice new bling bling." Morgan said as he helped Ashley get inside the jet.

Ashley replied that it was at the spur of the moment. They all took their places and waited for takeoff.

"What if Marla was his intended target all along? Look their all blondes, similar jaw bones, and blue eyes but that's all they have in common." Ashley said.

"Why do you think she is the intended target?" Morgan asked.

"I have a gut feeling. Wait, Garcia can you check if they had been pregnant before."

The pilots told them that they were about to land and to turn off every cell phone. They all did. Hotch told them what to do. The jet landed and they all went to their destined place. They stayed there for a few more minutes and watched around and then left to go to the Police Department. They parked their car and got out and walked into the Police Department.

"You were right almost Mama Ashley. Alina, Melissa and Marla had children but gave them for adoption. Darlene was a surrogate mother. Melina had filed papers for adoption but didn't go through."

They were stopped from working on the profile when someone entered into the room telling them that they had found a body. Morgan and Reid went to check it out. They called them to let them know that it wasn't one of the victims. Hotch called the Detective to call his men they were ready to give the profile. Ashley dialed Garcia and put her on speaker.

"Garcia, did they go to the same adoption agency? Yes and No. It's the same agency but in different locations."

Ashley deducted that the Unsub was a woman. She asked Garcia what information she had on Marla. Garcia replied what there was.

"She's the Unsub!" Ashley said.

"Why can you be so sure?" Rossi asked. "She's her sister."

"Her Mother died a week before the first kill. Wouldn't that trigger something?" Garcia said.

Prentiss asked Garcia what their Mother had died from and Garcia replied that their mother had breast cancer and had been diagnosed three weeks before Marla gave birth. They left to the address that Garcia had given them. They arrived just in time to stop her from killing Darlene.

"Miranda, let them go they're not the ones you're angry at." Ashley said. "I understand why you didn't want your sister to give the baby in adoption but she did what she thought it was for the best. There's not one single day that she doesn't think about the decision she made. As much as I understand you I understand her."

"Did you give a baby in adoption too?"

"No. I had two miscarriages. I lost two babies and there's not a single day that I don't stop thinking what they would look like. My husband and I were thrilled but scared about being pregnant again."

"I'm sorry." She said and the she walked towards Ashley and turned around with her hands behind her back.

They arrested her. The team was driving back to the hotel to grab their things and head home. Morgan, Prentiss and Reid were in one truck while Rossi, Hotch and Ashley were in the other.

"Ashley."

"You weren't supposed to find out about it or about my pregnancy." Ashley said wiping her tears. "I mean at least until the three months passed."

"We get it." Rossi said.

They understood that she didn't want to really want to talk about it. They were almost to the airport and ready to head home. He missed his family. Hearing about Ashley's miscarriages he felt guilty that JJ had to go through her pregnancy and their baby born dead all alone. He parked at a distance from the jet and got down and helped Ashley get down from the truck. He sent a text to JJ as he began to get inside the jet.

She was putting the kids in bed when her phone alerted her of a text. We are on our way home. I love you. She replied back, okay. I love you too. She walked back to her room and began to get ready to go to sleep. As soon as she hit the pillow she was knocked out. She woke up when she felt movement in the bed.

"I brought Ashley with me. She's currently sleeping in the futon in my office."

"Why?" JJ asked turning around to see him.

"I would prefer for her to tell you. Erik is not in town and I didn't want her to go alone in the state she was in."

"I understand. I'll talk to her in the morning." JJ said. "Try to rest you had a long case."

Hotch kissed her. JJ went back to sleep. She was woken up by a piercing cry. She got up and attended the little person demanding her attention. She knew that it was a matter of time before the other little person woke up too. JJ rocked them back to sleep and then headed back to bed. Hotch pulled her closer to him. The next morning Hotch got up and helped JJ with the kids while she talked with Ashley.

"Hey good morning, how did you sleep?" JJ asked.

"Good morning. I imagine Hotch filled you in." Ashley said.

"No he said it was better that it was better if you told me." JJ answered.

"I didn't tell you all about my pregnancy because I wanted to wait a little longer you see I had two previous miscarriages. Hotch said you would understand why?"

JJ told her everything about that time. How they had met. This time it was a lot easier talking about it.

"It must have been really sad expecting her with happiness counting the days and ending with empty arms."

"Yes it is. Sometimes I dream that my little Christina is alive and I wish with all my heart that it wouldn't be a dream."

Corena started demanding to know where her Mommy was. She walked into the room and noticed Ashley and she went straight to her and gave her a hug. She then put her hand in Ashley's belly and whispered something and then said bye and left the room. JJ was amazed at her little girl. Hotch knocked on the door and then entered.

"The team was just called in to McKeesport, Pennsylvania. They already found two bodies."

"Oh. Aaron, you're going to be close."

"I'll do it." Hotch said and looked at Ashley. "If you want to stay is fine by me."

"I need to keep my mind relax."

"This one's are going to keep you grounded." Hotch said. "I'll call you later."

JJ started making breakfast and asked Rena and Henry what they wanted to drink. Jack helped her like always. JJ told Ashley she only had Honey Nut Cheerios. Ashley replied that was the only cereal she could tolerate.

After breakfast they got ready to go out. JJ was going to take them to the park. Jack helped JJ at the park.

"I still don't know how to deal with this you know."

"I know what you mean. I spent the first two weeks in bed without being able to stop crying."

"I did the same. When I lost my second baby I told Erik that I didn't want to try anymore but this baby wasn't planned. It just sort of happened."

"I remember that when I found out about Henry I was petrified my baby was going to be born dead but Will helped me out."

After a few more minutes she gathered her kids and got them inside the car. Ashley's phone began to ring.

"Hey how's your Mom?" Ashley answered the phone. "Don't worry I'll call Charles. I'll make sure he has everything ready. I'll be there."

She hung up. JJ didn't dare to ask what was happening but she had an idea.

"Hi Charles, I need for you to arrange for the helicopter to pick me up. Thank you."

"I can drop you off anywhere you want to go." JJ said.

"I know you would."

After Ashley told her where to drop her off and say goodbye JJ went back home. One of the twins woke up. Kailani was already hungry.

"I got this Momma." Jack said who was sitting in the middle and had one twin to one side and the other to his other side.

"We're almost home, Jack."

Jack began got the bottle took off the teat and pour out the milk put on back the teat and began to shake the bottle while Kailani watched him and Jack calming her down. It melted her heart. He was such a cute little boy. He was a great big brother.

"Momma, we need a bigger place."

"I know. Daddy and I have been thinking about that."
