Sorry for the long wait but my muse had left me...but I'm back.
Chapter Seventeen
Hotch was walking back to his office after a meeting with Matt. There was a commotion in the bullpen. He stopped to check what was happening and to his surprise Christy was there.
"Christy."
"Since I had the morning off I just came by to give this to Garcia." Christy said giving it to Garcia. "I'm leaving now."
"Why are you so jumpy?" Rossi asked.
"I'm not jumpy." Christy replied. "I'm leaving bye."
He saw her walk towards the crystal doors and waiting for the elevator.
"It seems to me that she's already looking for prince charming." Morgan said.
He got the Hotchner glare.
"No she already met him." Prentiss replied.
Morgan and Prentiss high fived each other. Hotch didn't say anything he just walked to his office. He was so into his thoughts that he didn't hear Garcia was talking him.
"Boss Man, Raleigh PD is asking for our help."
"I'll be right there."
He got his phone and sent a text message. I'll talk to her. JJ replied to him. He got up from the desk and walked towards the door of his office.
"You know we were joking." Derek said.
"I know." Aaron said. "Garcia, did they ask for us to go?"
"They asked for a consultation but if they would need our help they would call us." Garcia replied.
"Let's get to work then." Hotch added.
The team worked on a profile for Raleigh PD while Garcia typed what they were saying to send it to Raleigh PD. Before they knew it, it was lunch hour. They ordered Chinese and Morgan was the person in charge to go pick it up.
"So tell us Hotch, has your daughter found someone?" Prentiss asked.
"I think she has met someone." Hotch replied.
"Where?" Rossi asked.
"She has been going lately to the park."
"So you're guessing?" Garcia asked.
"Mostly yes."
"So you're asking JJ to ask the questions?" Reid asked.
"Yes."
Morgan arrived with the food and everyone got their orders. After lunch they all headed towards their own desks. Hotch was finishing some reports when he heard the knock on the door.
"Boss Man, we've been called. It just got bigger." Garcia said.
"What happened?" Hotch asked looking up.
"The UnSub kidnapped a police officer."
He got up from his desk and walked towards the door and to the catwalk.
"Everyone to the roundtable room." Hotch said. "Anderson get everything ready for takeoff."
Hotch walked to the roundtable room and waited for the rest of the team to explain the situation.
"Hotch, nothing in the profile points him out as a kidnapper." Morgan said.
"Something triggered it." Rossi replied.
"Wheels up in thirty." He said and then walked to his office.
"You're going out on a case?" JJ asked not giving him a moment to speak.
"Yes. I'll call you tonight."
"Okay then. Be careful."
The team boarded the jet and while in the jet they worked in the profile. They landed in Raleigh within minutes.
"You must be the FBI Agents."
"I'm Agent Hotchner and this is my team." Hotch said and introduced the each member.
They went over what had happened. They had been working all afternoon in the case and it was getting late.
"Let's call it a night and tomorrow morning we continue." Hotch said.

"Your Dad is worried about you." JJ said as she made sure the door to the house was locked.
"Mom we talked and we want to take things slowly and when we're ready Dad can meet him." Christy said. "Uncle Morgan is going to teach me self defense."
"That's good." She said. "Good night."
"Good night Mom. Daddy hasn't called?"
"No not yet."
JJ watched Christy walked into her room and then she walked to hers. She was beginning to get ready to go to sleep when her phone began to ring.
"Hey how is it going?" JJ asked.
"It's tough. We miss you in the team."
"I miss you all too. I talked to Christy. She said that they're taking it slowly be friends first and when they're ready that she would present him to you."
"I just don't want her to get hurt." Hotch said.
"It's part of life Aaron. You know even though she was not shown a mother's love she was raised to be aware of her surroundings. She was protected."
"Jayje she was loved."
"Yes she was."
They continued to talk some more and then they hung up. The following morning Christy helped JJ with breakfast and the kids.
"Mom, how did you know Dad was the one?"
"He made me feel special. I felt protected by him and that hasn't changed Christy." JJ said and then looked at her. "What does he make you feel?"
"He makes me feel secure." Christy answered.
"There's something more."
"What is it?" JJ asked getting the kids cups and pour orange juice in it.
"He's an agent."
"What kind of agent?" JJ questioned.
"He works for the FBI."
"Mommy, I thirsty." Corena said.
"I'm going."
Christy continued to help JJ in the kitchen while JJ took the juice to the waiting children. This has just gotten more complicated. JJ realized that it was getting more real for Christy. They continued to work together until they finished doing breakfast for the kids and for them. Christy put on coffee for both for them.
"Are you taking the kids somewhere Mother?"
"Maybe to the park later on today."
"I'll study for a bit and then help you with the kids."
"Thank you Christy."
JJ and Christy served the kids their breakfast and joined them. Christy's phone began to ring. JJ noticed her smile.
"Just go."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. We could play outside."
"Thank you Mom."
"Where are you going Chrissy?" Jack asked.
"I'm meeting a friend."
Jack's face said it all.
"He's a nice person Jack. You'll meet him soon."
"You promise?"
"I promise."
Christy kissed Jack's cheek.
"Bye Chrissy." Rena said.
Christy said goodbye and walked towards the door. JJ got her phone out and called Hotch and told him what Christy had asked her.
"I don't like him."
