Robin pulled his fishing line back to him because it was too close to Morgan's line and risked tangling together. With his lure back in hand he put a fresh piece of worm bait on it and cast it back in the water a little further away from Morgan's fishing rod. Robin's lure splashed into the lake and created small ripples around it.
Now that I think about it. The next few months of my life were almost identical to each other. Six months passed since we returned home and I had settled in perfectly with my friends by my side. Things were so peaceful that I had a routine I followed everyday. First, Frederick would shake me awake and rouse me out of bed for our daily workout. After that I would head over to the barracks and began my job. Lunch would soon follow where I spent time chatting and laughing with the other Shephards and then headed back to work. Once my day was over, it was then off to Lon'qu and his training to exhaust the remaining energy I had that Frederick did not deprive me of.
My only real time to rest was after dinner where you would find me in my room absorbed in a book. Tonight, I was reading very elaborate and diverse scientific book of theories. Most of the stuff I did not understand but one thing did peak my interest. There was a whole chapter devoted to dreaming and the reasoning as to why it happens.
...
"Robin! Are you reading again?! Don't you ever take a break?!" Lissa cried in her high pitched voice.
I chuckled and lowered my book to see her pointing at me. "What do you mean? I am relaxing."
Lissa scoffed at me and put her hand on her hips. "Relaxing means you are enjoying yourself and not thinking!"
"Well I don't know about the last part, but I am enjoying myself."
Lissa was taken aback by this and raised her already high voice in shock. "How can you enjoy yourself reading a book?" She pointed to the leather bound and fragile old book in my hands. "It looks soooo boooring!" She shrugged and hunched over.
"Hah, I'll admit it is not a light novel, but it still keeps me enthralled. I am glad Miriel was kind enough to let me borrow her old research book."
"You mean that ginormous book belongs to Miriel?" Lissa asked and peered her head over the top of the book and looked at the pages. The words were upside down for her but she saw that many of the word were ten letters or longer.
I felt uncomfortable with the Lissa so close to me and fidgeted around in my chair. "...Yeah, I was talking to her yesterday. ...It was hard to understand her, but I knew enough of what she was saying to get by."
"Really? I can't understand a single word she is saying! She says way too many big words"
"Heh, she does have a very broad vocabulary, but I guess it comes with being a scholar. It seems like she is always researching something and yesterday she was fascinated with the idea of gravity.
Lissa looked at me puzzled and repeated the unfamiliar word "Gravity?"
"It's what she calls the force that makes us fall down. She is looking for a way to reverse this thing so Sumia can walk unhindered. Or at least, I think that is what she was trying to say. I am still a bit confused myself after hearing her lecture about it."
"... So how did you end up with that old and boring book?"
"Oh well I was both interested and confused about the subject but she said she was too busy to 'allot' time to explain it. So she let me borrow her research book until tomorrow so I could learn more about it." I said studiously.
Lissa sighed and rolled her eyes. "That sounds boring too."
I chuckled and raised the book back up to my eyes. "I've never been the type for excitement"
She shook her head and grabbed the book from my hands. "Robin! If you keep this up you are going to bore yourself to death Robin! There is not a single moment when I DON"T see you working!
I rolled my eyes at the young and immature princess. "I appreciate the concern, but I am fine."
"No you're not!" She cried emphatically. "You need to learn to smell the roses and do nothing for a day."
"Do nothing? Isn't that boring?" I asked confused
"It's relaxing! There is no better feeling than watching the clouds go by and not worrying about doing anything else."
"Doesn't sound like fun." I murmured.
Lissa glared at me in frustration. "*Sigh* Looks like I will have to teach you to enjoy yourself Robin. As the princess of this country I am ordering you to take a day off from your work."
"Okay, when the next holiday comes I'll do that." I smiled and snickered
Lissa opened her mouth about to speak, but she couldn't find any words to say. Clenching onto the book, she shoved it back into my chest "Hmmph, to think I come here to help you through your problem and you turn it down!" She stormed off in defeat.
"... I wonder what that was all about?" I asked confused and heard the loud clang of the Lissa slamming the door behind her. "I guess there is no point in trying to figure it out. Woman are a mystery I don't think I will ever solve."
I chuckled thinking about the odd conversations I had with Sully or the shy interactions I had with Olivia. Sometimes it seemed like Sumia was the only one that I could talk to outside of my gender, but I shook off the thought and opened the thesis book at a random page. Looking at the title of the page it said
Chaos theory.
'Every action in this world has an inverse reaction.' Thus it can be inferred that even the smallest action can drastically effect the outcome of the future. This theory is more commonly know as the-
I turned the page and continued reading the book for another hour before closing it and retiring to my room. I was fairly tired and I had to get ready for the next day of my routine. Soon I found my head resting on my pillow and yawning as I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

"This is it! Our final battle! You're one of us, Robin, and no "destiny" can change that. Now let's kill this dastard and be done with it!" Chrom commanded his best friend and they charged forward.
"Gya ha ha! Fools! Struggle all you want! You cannot unwrite what is already written!"
"You will never know unless you try!" Robin's arm jabbed his sword into Valider's gut. Chrom followed it with a slash through his chest and the dark mage fell to the ground."
This isn't over...Damn you BOTH!
Valider chanted a spell and it fired a beam of light at Robin. He tried to dodge it but the ray was to fast and hit him straight in the heart.
Time instantly slowed down for Robin. A burning pain attacked his heart and it was spreading to the rest of his body. It was hard to see and his back felt like it was broken. As things began to go hazy he found that he couldn't control his arm. Something else had control over it and tried to crash it straight into Chrom's shoulder. Robin fought it with all he could and managed to reduce the force of the blow but it still impaled the navy haired king.
Robin couldn't believe what he had just done and he was over come in agony seeing his friend in such pain. Chrom gasped for breath from the wound and saw Robin's eyes overflow in tears. "This is not your—your fault...Promise me you'll escape from this place...Please, go..."
Just then, the temple started shaking and parts of the roof fell to the ground. A large chunk fell on a group of Risen and squashed them instantly. Robin's eyes widened and turned a dark and soulless red. "ERG! ...Cah cah...Chrom. Get...out...now..."
"Robin?"
"S-something...erg...is taking me... puh please... leave...Can't ...control..."
"Robin, I won't leave you!" Chrom shouted back with his wound spewing blood.
"T-then...I'll have to ... make you." Robin pulled the Fire Emblem from his cloak and gave it to Chrom. He had stolen it back From Valider just before he got hit by his attack. "You will ...need this."
"Robin!""
Robin let one more tear fall from his red eyes and raised his hand in the air. "RRRRARGHH" He gripped his hand tightly and smashed his fist into the ground causing a massive earthquake. The force instantly blew Chrom back and far away from Robin. He landed right besides Maribelle near the front of the temple.
"I will not ...become a monster." Robin grabbed his sword with both hands and turned the blade around. With the last strength he had he pulled the sword into his stomach and collapsed to the floor. "I ... am...sorry...Ch-"
Chrom and the Shepherds watched in horror as Robin fell on his sword. Chrom wanted to run back and get to him but Frederick and Flavia stopped him. The building was collapsing and they had to get out of it immediately or the roof would fall on them.
...
GWHAHAHA AHAHA. What a pathetic fool. Does he really think he can kill me with that stupid sword? Robin's body effortlessly took the sword out of his stomach and snapped it into two. Through Robin's eyes he saw Frederick and Flavia drag Chrom to the entrance to the temple. The possessed Robin raised his hand and planned on transforming into his dragon state so he could kill them. A dark purple circular beam surrounded him and his arms became immensely stronger. Prepare to see my POWER!
...
Hmm? Robin's body suddenly stopped. The violent beam died down and the body fell to its knees. Through his red eyes Robin saw the Shepherds leave the temple and get out of harms way. A small smile appeared on his lips and said. "I will NOT let you hurt my friends!"
What? You dare try to fight my will?"
"I did not try. I succeeded!"
...Hmm, this vessel appears strong willed. Your resistance is making it difficult to connect my body to yours and control it. But no matter. You are not the first vessel that has tried to defy me... RRRRARGH! The beast unleashed a massive power wave that destroyed the building and all the Risen inside of it. The large falling roof fell straight on top of Robin and split in two when it reached his head.
Ah that is better, though, my body is still weak from its slumber. I cannot transform into myself with your hindrance, but I have control over these pathetic limbs.
"... ERRGG ... ... I will not give up. I must keep fighting!" Robin's body was shaking as neither side was able to fully control it.
BWAHAHAHA are you still trying to resist? Your mind is refusing to assimilate to mine. It is rather annoying, but it won't be long before I have control over it aswell.
"I will not succumb. I will fight it with everything I have. Even if I must fight a demon like you alone."
Ha! I am not a mere demon. I am this world's worst nightmare. I will kill every living thing and then burn the ashes they leave remaining.
"Grrr...You will not harm anyone! History has shown you have been defeated by men not nearly as strong as my king. You don't stand a chance!"
BWAHAHAHA. How does your king plan on killing me without all five gemstones? I have one and your friend has one on his dead corpse. It seems to me that Chrom will be unable to perform the awakening without them.
"They will find a way!" Robin's hands clenched into a fist.
Oh really? You seem so confident in this. I look forward to destroying your spirit when you see your friends dead.
"My friends will find a way! I know they will!"
Enough! I have no patience to listen to your trivial banter. I have waited a millennium for this moment. It is time for this world to fear my wrath!
...
...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed and violently woke up in a panic. I was sweating profusely and there was a large pool of water around me. My heart beat venomously and my whole body felt like it wanted to explode.
"It was a nightmare." I inhaled and tried to calm down. "It was all a nightmare." I said that phrase over twenty times but it did not bring me any comfort. This dream brought a fear to me that shook my very core. I was on edge and my nerves were crying at me. No matter how many times I had this dream it always sent me into a panic.
"Focus Robin! You need to calm down!" I immediately got up from my bed and walked over to my table with Miriel's book on it. I lit a candle for some light and reread the book to find some sort of solace.
Dreams are thought to be a gate to the subconscious. Depending on the person, dreams can be our greatest desires or our worst fears. Each dream manifests a point of interest into a visual representation of a thought or anxiety ... It is not abnormal to experience the same dream multiple times, especially if it involves a traumatic event from early point in someone's childhood. Though there is other events that may influence this thesis.
...
In the days of the ancients, dreams used to be thought of as a form of prophecy. However, this idea has been abandoned since all known prophecies were not through man but served as warning directly from the divine dragons. In short, while dreams are still an anomaly, it is relatively safe to assess that they have no direct impact on the future.
The last part had been highlighted and underlined three times. Ever since I had this dream I had a deep fear of Chrom getting hurt. I kept telling myself it was just a dream but there was that overlying fear that I could be wrong, but those six words in Miriel's book at least lifted one of my burdens. She normally didn't say anything without fact to go behind it so I accepted it and went back to my bed. I beat on my pillow a couple of times to get rid of the remaining tension in my stomach and stared blankly at the night sky through my window.
"How much longer must I endure this godforsaken nightmare. Just for one night I would like to get some damn sleep in peace."
