A/N: Honestly, I don't know what to say. October's going to be an extremely hectic month for me because I have a major test coming up in about 2 weeks that could ultimately determine the first steps of my life. So with my boring life, and my decision of deciding to be unproductive today, I thought I'd give you guys a you enjoy XD
*Percy's POV*
I felt myself fuming, my fists were clenched and every body of water that I walked past, seemed to hurtle at some innocent bystander.
Where the heck was Annabeth?
I swear if Luke said something, or pushed her into something, then I'll have his head wrapped up with seaweed, my specialty after all. Things were awkward between me and Annabeth. Every person smart enough could figure that out at this rate. It was kind of queasy and we found it hard to even talk about what we were going through right now. I didn't know how to make things better. And for once, neither did wise girl either.
I ran a hand through my hair, letting it become more tousled as it blew in the wind. My shoulders were tense with worry; there wasn't anything that could calm me. Even the sea only seemed to reflect my dark, dangerous mood as it swirled into high tides.
"Percy!"
I glanced back to find Thalia, looking at me with concern, a grim expression on her face.
"Maybe we should give her time Percy. You know more than anyone than Annabeth likes to analyze her situation before she sets anything into motion."
I didn't want to. That was a good reason right? I wanted to talk; find her, ask her if she was okay. But I knew Thalia was right. It wouldn't do any good if I did find her.
"You should leave first Thalia; I think I need some time to process this… again."
Thalia nodded swiftly in understanding, she left first, perhaps needing her own "think time" too.
I walked in another direction, my feet walking towards the sandy beach on instinct. The sea was dark blue, unlike the warm sea green it was on most days.
A couple of girls walked by, one casting a look my way but I purposely glanced the other way. I wasn't in the mood for other girls. The only girl I had on my mind was Annabeth, although she was the only girl that wanted to get out of my way.
I watched the sea roar, with my hands stuffed inside my pocket when I felt a presence next to me.
"Oh!"
A girl bumped into me as I caught her. Her hair was tightly wrapped around a bun while she wore a bikini as her arms wrapped around my neck. It was the girl who had looked at me earlier. She shot me a smile, as I glanced towards her group of friends who were giggling. It wasn't an accident alright. I set her down straight as I awkwardly cleared my throat. I hoped she took it a hint to leave but to my luck stayed.
"Thanks. It was my fault. Is there anything you want me to do to repay the favor?"
I didn't bother. The old Percy at Goode might have winked or asked for a number but right now, I wasn't in the mood.
"It's fine" I answered curtly.
The girl's smile was quickly wiped into a frown before she replaced it back into a smile. She placed her hand on my arm and quickly moved in front of me before trailing her hand down.
"Well. Just know that if you ever need anything, just let me know" she said as she shot me a wink.
I glanced down at his feet, awkwardly muttering "I have a girlfriend" beneath my breath. What? It was sort of true! We hadn't broken up before… although it may not be the same matter nowadays.
The girl blushed as she quickly muttered thanks as she made her way back to her friends.
"Don't leave me Annabeth" I thought as the ocean formed a rip, and a calm breeze finally came his way.
A/N: So this was originally meant as a preview but then I couldn't stop writing and it became a filler. It is still on the shorter side though but I hoped you enjoyed it! Till next time munchkins!
