A/N: So, I know I haven't written for this in a while, but I've been super busy and the little time I have for writing I've focussed on my chartered stories to try and get them finished...anyway, this is just something random that popped into my head, so it's kind of four mini one shots I guess, one for each season...

Chapter Thirty-Three: A story in seasons...

33. Four Seasons

Spring

"You know," Alice said, bending down to pick a bright red primrose, "I don't think we take enough advantage of living so close to the forest."

She tucked the flower into her hair, checking for Jasper's approval, which was better than any mirror. Jasper smiled at his wife, "We come out here all the time."

"Yes, but all we do is hunt." Alice mused.

"What else do you want to do?" Jasper asked.

"I just think sometimes we miss all the beauty." Alice said, "I mean, listen."

The two vampires fell silent, listening to the sounds around them. Baby birds chirping, little rabbits rustling in the undergrowth, the breeze drifting through the trees.

Jasper smiled at Alice, "You can notice beauty so easily."

"Know why?" Alice asked.

"Because you're beautiful?" Jasper suggested, pulling his wife close to him.

Alice giggled and shook her head, gazing adoringly into her husband's eyes, "Because I've been blessed with beauty all around me."

Jasper's smile grew. One of the things he loved most about Alice was her ability to see good and beauty in just about everything. She could look at him - someone so scarred both physically and mentally - and see something beautiful, something that Jasper could never see in himself.

A few lone raindrops fell, landing on Alice's pale skin. Then it began to pour. Alice laughed and danced in it, spinning around and around as the rain fell around her, humming 'April Showers' to herself.

Jasper caught her round the waist and spun her, then kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him and his hands found their way into her hair, the primrose falling to the ground as they forgot about everything else but themselves.

Summer

Alice giggled as Jasper looked at her from over his sunglasses and raised an eyebrow.

"What?" She smirked, twirling around, "You don't like it?"

"I love it." Jasper told her, walking towards her with a slight growl in his voice, "But there is no way you're going outside dressed like that."

Alice rolled her eyes and pushed him away as he tried to grab her, "It's just a bikini, Jazz."

"You look hot as Hell." Jasper told her, "And just as sinful."

Alice admired her own reflection in the mirror, tilting her head at the black tie up bikini, "That's exactly what I was going for."

"I'm serious, Alice." Jasper said, grabbing her waist and pulling her towards him, flattening her against his chest, "I can't have you going out like that to get oggled by a load of men."

Alice rolled her eyes again, "You get oggled by women all the time. You OOZE sex."

"That's not true." Jasper said. Alice just sighed because it seemed Jasper genuinely didn't notice the crowd of girls who floated around after him, fainting when he had to take his shirt off in gym.

She tried to wrestle her way out of his grip, "Come on, the others are already down at the beach."

"Alice." Jasper said, the protective and jealous growl still in his voice.

"Jazz, no one's even going to see me, it's a private beach." Alice pointed out.

"The walk down their isn't." He argued.

Alice finally managed to wriggle free and jumped towards the door before he could catch her again. She laughed, "You're cute when you're jealous."

Jasper caught up to her at the front door to the house, "Fine, if you're going out like that, then I need to do something to prove to every guy who looks at you that you're MINE."

He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder, laughing at her squeal, "Jasper! I think this is a little unnecessary."

"I think it's totally necessary." He replied.

"Hmm...I have a good view at least." Alice said, admiring her husband's backside.

Jasper rolled his eyes, "Enjoying yourself back there?"

"Very much so." She told him, "I think you should carry me everywhere from now on."

She wriggled free on his grasp and climbed up so she was sat on his shoulders. She surveyed the ocean, "On second thoughts, this is a much better view."

"Excuse me?" Jasper asked.

Alice giggled and leaned over him so she could kiss him, "I'm sorry, Jazz, you know I love your ass the most."

"Alice I can't see anything." He said with a laugh as her head blocked his sight.

"What else do you need to see?" Alice asked him with a wink.

They reached the beach and headed straight for the ocean. Alice stayed on Jasper's shoulders as he stepped into the water, "Is it cold?"

Jasper laughed, "Wanna find out?"

He flipped her over his shoulder and threw her into the water. She screamed and appeared beside him with a glare on her face, "You're going to pay for that, Jasper!"

She chased him through the water, knowing full well that when she caught him they'd simply kiss and forget all about it. She could never stay mad at Jasper, and he couldn't stay mad at her - it was impossible. The love they shared would always cancel out everything else.

Fall

"Alice, what are you doing?" Jasper asked, watching his wife in amusement as she raced around the garden.

She paused and looked at him, "Collecting leaves."

She continued running around, scooping up handfuls of fallen leaves and adding them to a growing pile she'd created in the middle of the yard. The pile was already taller than her, and it was a few metres wide. She'd collected leaves from the surrounding forest to add to the collection.

"Okay...why are you collecting leaves?" Jasper asked, moving out of her way as she scooped up the leaves by his feet.

"You'll see." She said, adding them to the pile. Jasper watched her for a while, until finally she was satisfied with her work, "Follow me."

She took his hand and led him to the big tree in the yard. They climbed it together and Alice led Jasper along one of the thicker branches, balancing on the end. She grinned and looked down at her leaf pile, and Jasper realised what she was planning to do.

"You're such a child, Alice." Jasper told her.

"Take that back." She said, sticking out her tongue. He rolled her eyes, "You're coming with me."

She took his hand and stood on the end of the branch like it was a diving board, "Ready?"

Jasper smiled and nodded, and they jumped into the pile together. Alice laughed as leaves exploded around them, flying off in all directions. They led on the ground together, holding hands and watching the leaves slowly flutter back down to earth, landing on their clothes and in their hair. One landed on Alice's face and she blew it off with a large breath, giggling at herself.

"You never cease to amuse and entertain me." Jasper told her.

"Is that a compliment or an insult?" She asked.

He smiled at her lovingly, "With you? Always a compliment."

Winter

Alice and Jasper ran through the snow that was furiously swirling around them, pulling each other along against the fierce wind. Alice reached the cabin first, throwing the door open and pulling Jasper inside. He shut the door against the cold, grabbing Alice and kissing her up against the door.

"Storm's pretty bad." He murmured.

"Practically a blizzard." Alice replied.

"Guess we won't be going back out till it passes." Jasper said.

"What a shame." Alice said, wrapping her arms around his neck. He kissed her, smiling.

"I'll light a fire." Jasper said, breaking free from his wife and walking towards the fireplace.

Alice walked around the cabin, running her fingers over the shelves and the mantle, where photo frames showed their own happy faces. Every memory that they didn't need reminding of - from years ago to just last month, everything was crystal clear in their minds.

"I don't think I'll ever get tired of snow." Alice said, flipping herself over the edge of the couch and flopping down on the other side.

Jasper started the fire and came over to Alice, picking her up and spinning her around, "It never gets old."

"Like someone else I know." Alice said, tapping Jasper's nose. He playfully frowned at her.

He sat down on the sofa, pulling Alice with him. She settled on his lap, leaning her head against his shoulder as she basked in the warmth from the fire and from her love. She decided that the best thing about winter was being warm when you knew that outside it was freezing.

"Jasper, which is your favourite season?" Alice asked, looking up at him.

He smiled, "Every season with you is my favourite."

A/N: SO hope you liked it and I have two questions for you...first, which is your favourite season? Second, which of these mini season one shots did you like best? Let me know!

I love it when you send in suggestions and requests so please keep them coming in and I'll try to do all of them :)
