Klaus + Hayley (+ Hope): Hope's First Driving Lesson

The young hybrid teenager walked downstairs, wearing something that normally her aunt Bekah would. Klaus was sitting in his usual comforting chair, reading one of the many poem books he had saved all these years. "Hey, Dad!" Hope happily exclaimed and kissed his cheek, happily. Klaus looked up from his book in surprise and looked at her. "And what is with all the enthusiasm today, sweetheart?" he asked her. She usually never smiled like this, unless something that she loved happened to her.

"I was just checking my calendar and I realized what you told me two months ago." Hope replied. She showed Klaus something on her phone and he frowned. "I am sorry, love, but I see nothing of much importance." "Oh my God! You have to stop this, seriously! You've been avoiding the subject for days. We have a perfectly good car in the parking lot and it is not being used. I want to practice driving it. You told me that you would help me." Klaus shook his head and set down the book, standing up. "Where is your mother?" he asked her. "No, no and no! You are not bringing Mom into this!" Hope told him.

"Has anyone called me?" Hayley asked as she came into the room and set down a couple of flowers that she received. "Yes, we seem to have a small problem here. We have to have THE talk." Klaus put the accent on "the" and looked at Hayley warily. She smiled and shook her head. Hope stuck her head between them, nosily. "What is THE talk? What is he talking about, Mom?" she asked her. "Oh, nothing, princess. Your father is just being a child, like he always is." "Hayley…" Klaus looked at her warningly again and she rolled her eyes. "Can you give us a moment, Hope?" "Fine! In the meantime, I will be more than happy to take a test drive with your new Mercedes." "Don't even think about it!" Klaus snapped at her. This only made her groan and leave the room.

"What is it with you, Klaus? She is old enough. She's a teenager. Everyone she knows around town owns a car or at least knows how to drive one." Hayley explained but Klaus growled. "That is a brand new car that she wants to wreck." "She won't wreck it. She will be careful." "Just like you are when you drive, right?" "What is that supposed to mean, Klaus?" "It means that the reason why we got a new Mercedes was because you wrecked my old one." "That is not fair! That idiot came right in front of me. I may have super speed to dodge plenty of things including bullets but that piece of shit you call a car didn't." Klaus smirked and raised his eyebrows. "That piece of shit of a car what you call it my dear is the gift I offered you on our second anniversary. I bet that slipped your mind, didn't it?" he asked her with a frown.

Hayley ran a hand through her hair as Klaus picked up the flowers and looked over at the note that came with them. Reading the note, he threw the flowers to the ground in anger and whispered, "Why is Jackson sending you flowers again?" "What are you talking about?" Hayley asked. "I know that handwriting, Hayley. It belongs to Jackson. Don't pretend like you had no idea." "I haven't read the note yet, Klaus. I just got the flowers." Hayley mumbled and looked over the note. She put it away with a smile on your face. "There is nothing to smile about!" Klaus snapped.

"I am smiling because you are getting jealous over nothing, just like you always do. Don't make this something that isn't, Klaus. You know that there is nothing between Jackson and me." "I am not jealous." "You are either jealous or you are trying to change the subject because you don't want to talk about Hope's first driving lessons." Hayley told him with a smile on her face. Klaus stared at her for a while with his hands on his hips before breaking eye-contact and looking away. "There is nothing to talk about Hope and this driving nonsense. What I want to know is why Jackson is sending you flowers." "There is nothing going on…" "Then why send you flowers? What is he hoping to gain? You tell me the truth, Hayley. Is he making a play for you? If you don't tell me the truth, I will go over there and beat the crap out of him until he confesses." Klaus warned her as he stepped closer.

She smiled at him and caressed his face, connecting her forehead with his. "I am sure that Jackson just wanted to offer me something to cheer me up since today is my anniversary." "What anniversary?" Klaus mumbled, surprised. "It's been sixteen years since the official ceremony that I would be Queen of Wolves. It has been a long time, Klaus. I think Jackson would have given up his obsession with me after all these years, don't you think?" "I just wanted to make sure…" Klaus began but Hayley placed a finger on his lips to stop him from talking. "There is nothing that can make me forget how much I love you, Klaus. Nothing and no one. I am not leaving you, if that is what you're worried about." "I am not worried." Klaus told her at once. "Good. Because there is nothing to worry about."

With a smile on her face, Hayley kissed his soft lips, reminding him of the passion and love they both share for one another. Klaus smirked as she pulled back but he wanted more so he pressed his lips to her neck, making her moan. "I thought we were going to talk about Hope." She whispered. "We are. Just a couple more minutes." Klaus told her and continued leaving juicy kisses all over her skin, making her smile the way she never has before. "Hope can come in any minute now." "Let her watch." "Klaus!" Hayley protested but he just chuckled as he swayed her back and forth, making her giggle. She placed a hand on his chest, pushing him a little and looking at him serious in the eyes.

"Now we really must talk about Hope." "What is there to talk about, little wolf? She is not going to be driving that brand new car and that is final!" Klaus told her. Hayley raised her eyebrow and put on a puppy face as she looked at him. "Not even if we are both in the car with her, watching her every move?" she asked him and wrapped her hands around his neck. Klaus chuckled and shook his head. "That won't work on me, love." "Okay, then. You are not getting the surprise that I planned for us tonight. No sire! I can't do that when I have a daughter who is upset with the man I love, her father." She walked away but he pulled her right back. "What surprise?" "Just a little celebration for today's occasion. I have been the Queen of my pack for sixteen years now." She bit her lip seductively and watch the lust being shown on his face as he groaned. "Alright, fine! We can ride with her!"

"We can?" Hope popped her head and walked inside with the car keys in her hands. Her face showed that she was super excited because of this. Hayley looked at her disbelievingly. "Have you been listening to our conversation this whole time?" "I have super hearing, remember and it is way more advanced than yours. That is something that should be taken in consideration." Hope told her matter-of-factly. Klaus looked over at Hayley with a frown and gritted his teeth. "She is already starting to make me lose my temper. I don't think I will take it on the street." "You will manage, because you have me with you." She kissed him again and then wiped his lips of the lipstick that was left. "Okay, you two can be all sexy together later because I have little time to practice driving this car before I have to head out with some friends." Hope told them. "I hope that you are not intending on driving your friends anywhere." Klaus told her and Hayley laughed at him. Hope left before she could answer the question.

"BRAKE!" Klaus yelled out as Hope hit the brakes and stopped the car just as an old lady was walking by with her dog. Hayley gasped and ran a hand through her hair. "That was close." She whispered. Hope bit her lip just like her mother did when she was nervous and turned around to see a very angry Klaus looking at her. "I think I overdid it, huh?" "Who is the moron who is going to offer you a driving license?" he mumbled under his breath. "Klaus!" Hayley snapped at him as Hope frowned. "You are too cheap to pay for any driving lesson anyone can offer me. I asked you months ago and you said that you would rather teach me yourself. Now, stop criticizing me and teach me!" she yelled out.

They had been on the road a couple of hours before Klaus and Hope had finally calmed themselves with Hayley's help. "On the left…on the right…there you go, love. How bloody difficult can it be?" Klaus asked her as he let go of her hands and Hope smiled as she moved her hands on the wheel perfectly. Hayley was looking from Klaus to Hope. "I really hope this perfect driving is going to last for you, sweetheart." Hope smiled and nodded. "There is nothing to worry about, Mom." Just as she said that, she turned around and smiled sweetly at her father. "Do you think that maybe since I drive so perfectly good, you can lend me the car for tonight's party?" she asked him and batted her eyelashes. Klaus chuckled and was about to respond when Hayley yelled out, "WATCH OUT!" Hope looked back to the road, but it was too late to hit the brakes and the person was down after the great hit.

"GRACE!" Hope screamed and got out of the car as fast as possible. The brunette girl, who looked to be just about Hope's age was lying limply on the ground, with her eyes closed and she was barely breathing. "Dad, do something!" Hope yelled out but Hayley was already before the girl and was feeding her blood. "She will be okay." Hayley whispered as she noticed that the girl was responding and drinking the blood. Hope bit her lip again and turned towards Klaus who was standing there with his hands crossed over his chest and the greatest frown on his face. "What do you think my answer is to your question, Hope?" he asked her. "No?" Hope mumbled. "You're damn right!" Klaus snapped.

The girl coughed and Hayley helped her stand up. "Who is this Grace?" Klaus asked at last. "She is Jackson's daughter, Klaus." Hayley whispered as she helped the girl regain her consciousness. "Jackson has a daughter?!" Klaus exclaimed in disbelief as he stared at the girl, who was about Hope's age. "Yes, he does and he has a wife too." Hope replied with a grin on her face. Hayley smiled as well as she saw Klaus' disturbed expression. She placed her hands on his cheeks. "You were jealous for nothing." She whispered and kissed him sweetly. "Alright, little wolf. I get it." Klaus said and responded to her kisses. They heard the engine start and Hope was in the front seat with Grace next to her.

"Hope!" Klaus yelled out but Hope was already waving, starting the car and leaving them there. Hayley let out a laugh. "This is no joke!" Klaus snapped at her. "Just let her relax and have fun. I am sure that she is not going to run over anyone else. And in the meantime, why don't we do that special celebration for ourselves?" Hayley asked him with a seductive look on her face. "Sure." Klaus responded and they resumed their make-out session in peace.

A/N: Many people asked for Hope's first driving lesson and I hope this covered it nicely. I had time to write and I hope I will have time to write more of these one-shots in the future.

Please review and tell me what you would like for me to write about next.
