Here's where you left off:
Robin's PoV
I knew they were listening from the other balcony. I didn't care. As soon as I finished, two bodies jumped over the barrier and began wailing. When I realize who the two teens were I followed suit, crying into their shoulders as I held them closer. It had been four years, of course I was going to cry upon reuniting with my best friends. The only question that passed in my head was, how the hell had they found me?
"Oh my god, how did you guys find us?"
"My brother called saying that two strange, young men had entered his shop, asking for your address. He was very concerned," said Lys, suppressing a lovely grin. After reuniting with my childhood heroes, I threw a party and everyone got shit-faced so I had them stay the night rather than die trying to go home.
~~Time Skip (3:30AM)~~
"Hey what are you doing up? I thought you were asleep." I had woken up to the sound of the TV on in the living room. When I found the stairs, I made my way to investigate and found Red sitting on the couch, watching Supernatural.
"Nah, I couldn't sleep, plus I'm just about to find out who that angel guy is," he pointed to Castiel on the TV screen.
"But, you're drunk. You shouldn't *yawn* have any trouble falling asleep. In fact you should be dead to the world right now." He chuckled, looking at my slightly slumped form as I leaned on the railing.
"If that's the case then what about you? You drank at least five times as much as I did." He patted the couch seat, implying that I should 'come sit' next to him. As I sat down he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I tensed up. He just chuckled slightly and pulled me closer so I settled into his side, resting my head on his shoulder. We sat there watching Supernatural in silence for another two minutes before Cas broke the silence. "Holy shit I'm an angel!" I was still super drunk and laughed so hard at what he said that no sound came out. After my fit and trouble breathing subsided Cas asked me seriously, "Why did you tell us? You really trust us that much?"
"Nathaniel," he scowled at the name. "When we were at the beach, I saw some bruises on his back but when I asked about them he got really defensive, like I wouldn't understand if he told me. I was going to show him my scars to prove that I would understand, but then you appeared and I concluded that the best way to go about it was to show you all at once. After that I knew you would pester me about it until I explained what they were."
"Yeah well, only cuz we care." He said the last bit real quiet. I knew he'd bug me for sure, probably pin me to a locker until I fessed up. He may put on a bad-boy façade, but I think he's actually really caring, even if he has a more … covert way of showing it.
Castiel's POV
Robin was leaning into my side as we watched Supernatural, some show about two guys who hunt monsters. As I looked at her I wondered what all she's actually been through and what it would have been like if I could have been the on to save her from her daemons. I could hear her breathing slow and the warmth of her body sink into me. I would never admit it out loud but it was bliss. I looked down to see her asleep. She must have grabbed onto my shirt without me even noticing.
*Sigh* I rolled my eyes, not knowing why I would try to hide my red face from a sleeping person. Robin was amazing, just indescribable. Most people hardly give me a chance, yet here she was comfortable against me. I should just tell her, not right now.
I stood up slowly and picked Robin up to carry her to her room. Her arms made their way around my neck and I could feel my face heating up. I had made it to the stairs when I realized, I had no idea which room was hers. I sighed and decided to just take her to my room instead of opening every door upstairs, searching for her room. There was only one bed and no chairs or anything else in the guest room so I crawled in next to her and fell asleep to her breathing.
~~Next Morning~~
Robin's POV
I woke up to the smell of warm musk cologne. Someone had their arms around me and I could feel their face pressed lightly against the back of my neck. Last night began to come back in a blur and I realized… I was in Castiel's bed. My face began to burn and he shuffled and began to sit up, not releasing his grip around me and pulling me up with him. He could feel me tense up as I began to contemplate the situation.
Still have my clothes, that's a good sign. He has his clothes, also good.
He held me tighter like he thought I would bolt.
"C-Castiel, why am I in your bed?" It wasn't insulting or scared, more like interrogative. "Did we-"
"Ah-ha um, no. We didn't." He cut me off with a nervous laugh. "I didn't know where your room was so I brought you in here." I turned around to face him and saw he was blushing as much as I was. I smiled sweetly and something in him seemed to snap. He scowled and tensed visible, turning away from me to stare at his pillow instead.
"Ok, well I'm going to make breakfast, no doubt there will be someone with a mad hangover." I got up and let the room wearing only a tank-top and shorts.

20 Minutes Later
Nathaniel's POV
Oh my head… my head… my head…
"Hahahaha! Dude, Goldilocks doesn't look so good!" What was that shrill noise? My eyes stayed clamped shut as I stood, crooked, against the wall, a blanket over my head to keep the light from invading my eyes.
"Hey, Nathaniel. You ok?" This voice is quiet, unlike the unforgiving cries of the other one. "Um, Nat? I got you some aspirin." It grabbed my shoulder and my skin began to tingle. It moved down to my arm and placed two small tablets in my hand. Something yanked the blanket off my head, causing my hair to prick and pull against my scalp.
"Haha! Man, have you ever drunk in your LIFE? Damn!"
"Tag stop it! C'mon Nat sit down." I slowly opened my eyes to see who this voice was connected to. Everything from last night after about 9:00 was a blur. What had happened after I left Robin's house? Did I leave Robin's house?
I was blinded by an intense flash of light and I yelped, grabbing for the blanket and falling back against the wall.
"Tch. Ok, c'mon." They grabbed me by my elbows and pulled me over to what felt like a couch and I laid my head back, covering my eyes with my arm.
"Geez, how much booze did the idiot drink?" This was obviously Castiel. I could pick out his delinquent voice anywhere. Even during a hangover.
"Not much, I think maybe four veers and a glass of wine in all of six hours. He passed out after that."
"Ugh… Why won't the light shut up. I swear I'll never drink again."
~~Time Skip~~
15 Minutes Later
Robin's POV
Nat's horrible hangover didn't seem to be clearing up, at all, so I moved back into the kitchen to grab breakfast for everyone. Nat simply sat on the sofa, avoiding all sound and light. Castiel was helping me put out the food, not saying a word. Tag was fawning over Kentin's messy, brown bedhead and chuckling as he shooed her hand. Lys sat at the table, conversing lightly with the Ryo and Hich he had heard so much about. THUD.
"mmph." Cas nocked into me
"ouch." Pushing me into the counter. I stood, slightly bent back against the counter with Castiel leaning on his hands, pressed close over me as he tried to regain his balance. His face was only inches from mine, and that's exactly when Hich walked in on our compromising position.
"Hey STEP OFF!" Castiel started and looked up then back down at me in surprise. Hich grabbed a large chef's knife and began walking towards Cas.
"Hich put that down! It was an accident!" He backed Cas into the counter and held the tip of the knife up to his throat.
"What are you trying to do to our Robin?!" He growled, eyes wide as he looked down at Castiel.
"HICH PUT THE FUCKING KNIFE DOWN!" I grabbed him around his waist and pulled him off Cas, lifting him slightly off the ground, and setting him down behind me. Then I snatched the knife away from him. "I don't want you killing my friend!" I shouted pointing the knife at him.
"C'mon Robin! He was boxing you in!"
"And if I was uncomfortable I would have removed him!"
"We've made it our job to protect you. Both me and my brother have."
"I know, but honestly, Cas is no threat." Cas looked up at this like 'I can be threatening.' Hich looked over at him then back at me and smiled his crooked, psychopath smile that even I can't read, turned on his heal and left without another word. All through breakfast Hich made no indication that any of that had happened and Cas remained silent aside from his occasional jab at Nathaniel.
"Hey Rob, you remember when we would spar? All four of us, for hours we would just go at it!" Tag said and began laughing.
"Oh remember that time Rob gave Hich rug burn cuz she threw him down too hard!?" Ryo blurted out.
"Yeah but don't forget the time Tag knocked you clean out for calling her a pussy when she didn't ask out Jerry Smithem!" Hich yelled, pointing at Ryo.
By this point, Nat had found his way into one of the guest rooms and shut the door.
"Ok, ok but then there was that time we used weapons and I totally kicked your ass Hich!" He countered
"And I totally kicked yours!" I shouted at him.
"Weapons? You fought each other with WEAPONS?" Cas asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, their parents are super experts on all things weapon. They gave Tag and me lessons on how to use some."
"You've told me about that before, when was that?" Lys interjected.
"Yeah it was just the day after our accident on the 22nd when you were staying here." I said matter-of-factly. Castiel just looked around at us, angry and confused.
"We – Tag and Hich and all of us – had an entire life before we transferred to Amoris."
~~Time Skip~~
Kentin left around 12:30, claiming his dad would be mad if he got home too late.
"Ok, get in." Nat was climbing into the charger so I could give him a ride home. "I'll be back in a bit. Hey," I looked at Ryo and Hich, "be nice." Then drove off.
"Nat?"
"Mm?"
"How did it happen?"
"What?"
"The bruises. How did you get them?"
*sigh*
"Bitch, don't sigh at me! Tell me what happened."
"Robin I don't think-"
"Nathaniel." I pulled into an empty parking lot, turned off the car, and pulled the keys out of the ignition. We weren't going anywhere until I got an explanation.
"Haaaa…. Ok. When I was little I picked on Amber. A lot. I pulled her hair and pushed her around. I was always mean to her. So my dad didn't trust me. He still doesn't. Whenever I do something that he doesn't like he gets angry." He looked forlorn. "And when he gets angry, he hits me. My parents always take Amber's side because they still don't believe I've changed. If she complains about me or I do something she doesn't like, well, I get hit." He stopped, waiting for me to say something. After a while he just said, "Don't tell anyone, ok?" I snapped.
"Don't tell? I didn't tell for nine years of my existence thinking it would fix itself. The only reason I'm still ALIVE is because Ryo and Hich found out and they said something. They told the cops and I went through HELL in court, but if they hadn't… Nat, my parents would have killed me if no one told. The twins saved my life. Your situation won't fix itself and if you don't tell someone who can help, then I will."
He sighed through his nose.
"Robin will you help me? I looked at him. "I don't want to tell just yet. I want to try and stand up for myself first." This concerned me.
"Right now. I'll help you if you do it today when I drop you off. I'll come in with you and stand right next to you. Nat, I just don't want to see you go through what I did."
"Thanks." And we drove off to his house.
~~Time Skip~~
We opened the door quietly and crept into the dark hallway. Suddenly the lights flipped on and angry eyes stared Nathaniel down, occasionally flicking to me then back.
"Uh, hi mom."
"You're late, you father is furious, and Amber is worried sick. Who's that?"
"Uh." I elbowed him in the side. "Ow."
"Hi. I'm Robin, a friend from school." Her tense mood lightened but only slightly.
"Well I suggest you leave, Nathaniel's father wants to talk to him."
"I'm sorry but I can't do that." I continued to smile, giving her an angry glare. She began to get nervous.
"I don't think-" I held up my hand, cutting her off.
"This ends now." I whispered darkly and walked past her, dragging Nat with me.
RING RING I picked up my cell.
"Where are you? You left 40 minutes ago and they're starting to get restless." It was Tag.
"I'm helping Nat right now. I'm going to have to call you back, It's important." With that I hung up and silenced my phone. "Ok Nat, lead the way." He walked through a doorway into a large room, occupied by a leather couch facing a flat screen TV. To the right was a lazy-man chair in which sat a tall man with brunett hair.
"Nathaniel, glad to see you finally decided to come home. Two hours late. You know I remember specifically telling you NOT to be late. Amber has been worried." Somehow I didn't believe that. He looked over at me. "Oh, so now you're having sex too?" He stood up as I walked angrily over to him. Sex? How the hell did he come up with that? He looked down at me and asked Nat. "Who's she-"
CRACK I punched him square in the jaw. "AH the fuck?"
"Don't you DARE refer to me like I'm some bitch-whore like your daughter. I've never done that with ANYONE and you have no right to make that kind of assumption!" He stared down at me in shock, then began to chuckle with pure delight.
"Oh, you're a fire cracker aren't you?" he said holding his jaw.
"Don't patronize me."
"Nathaniel, who is this girl?"
"Just a friend."
"I'm Robin. Friends call me Rob, but you can call me Sir." I said, grabbing his nose and pulling him down to eye level before releasing him again.
"Robin huh? And what exactly are you doing here with my son?"
I smiled masochistically like Hich had taught me to do when I wanted to intimidate someone.
"You heard, I'm his friend," I frowned darkly, "and friends help each other." I paused. "I know about the bruises, and I know how they got there."
"Robin, let me. Dad, I'm not going to let you treat me like this anymore. I'm not going to let you abuse me whenever you get angry. I work my ass off trying to please you but you only ever yell and hit me. And I'm not going to put up with it anymore."
"I think your friend should leave-"
"No. I'm going to stay right here." He growled then grabbed Nathaniel's collar and threw him into the couch.
"Ah, stop!"
"I don't care if you brought a friend, you won't disrespect me." He drew back to hit him but I grabbed his hand, pulling it behind his back so he turned around, then proceeded to flip him over my side.
"Oof, shit!"
"Keep your hands off Nathaniel."
"Robin, I'm ok."
"Damn. So you got yourself a bodyguard huh."
"Shut up. You don't deserve a son like Nat. C'mon let's go."
"Go where?"
" Get anything you want, you're not living here anymore."
"When did you decide this?"
"Just now, when I met this bastard. Get your things." Nat ran off to his room and I stood in the doorway waiting.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Amber had just walked out of her room, obviously thinking nothing of what I just did to her father.
"I'm here to take your brother." I said frankly. She started to come after me when Nat appeared in the doorway.
"Enough Amber. Enough of your petty, selfish attitude." And with that we left the house, several suitcases in hand.
~~Time Skip~~
I slammed the front door as soon as we got inside and made a b-line for the staircase with Nathaniel's things.
"Hey Rob, what's going on? What's in all those bags?... Nat?"
"Um, apparently I'm moving in."
"What? Rob… ROBIN!"
"His family is crazy! All three of them. I don't want him to live like that. So I decided to have him live here."
"Oh, ok." Tag didn't fight me on this.
"You're not going to say anything? None of you?" He looked around the room at Ryo, Hich, Cas, and Tag.
"Hey man, if you want to fight Rob on a domestic violence case then you go right ahead and do that. But there's no way I will." Tag held up her hands in surrender. Nat sighed.
I plopped his bags down on the bed. Ryo was in the doorway watching me talk to Nat as he began to unpack his things.
"You shouldn't have done that."
"I couldn't live with myself knowing I'd left you with them."
"They'll file kidnapping."
"So we'll file domestic abuse."
"We have no proof!"
"Don't we?" He looked up at me. "Ryo hooked me up with a mini-cam." I pointed to the hat I was wearing. "Also you have bruises, and me, a witness."
"You've got everything you need man, your parents won't stand a chance in court." Ryo stated from the doorway.
~~Three Weeks Later~~
Turns out Nat's parents didn't file kidnapping of their son, but rather granted him legal independence in court instead of getting their pants sued off for abuse.
"Um, shouldn't you guys be back at your school?"
"Nah man, we transferred here the minute we found you!" Ryo and Hich walked on either side of me in the hallway, effectively blocking out Castiel. I stopped to my locker to grab a book when Tag ran up to me, grinning like the Cheshire cat.
"Um, hi Tag." We had driven separately today.
"Guess what." That grin was starting to scare me.
"Tag, what did you do?"
"Not what did I do, what did WE do? ON THE 22ND!"
"Um, what did we do? I think we just had a party.
"Yeah! A PARTY! AND I RECORDED ALL OF IT!" She screeched.
"That was like a month ago, why didn't you tell me sooner? I can't remember anything from that night."
"I was going over it beforehand, I couldn't remember anything either. We're going to watch it this tonight, all of us, we'll invite the guys over and watch it on the big screen downstairs."
"Aaaa-I don't know if that's the best idea." Cas suddenly interrupted. He looked around the group which was now fixated on him. His head was turned down slightly as he scowled, avoiding all eye contact.
"Oh come on don't be a pussy. We're all going to watch it together and we can all be embarrassed together." Castiel didn't look any happier. The bell rang through the nearly barren hallways, signaling that students should now be in 6th hour.
"We're gonna get to glass, don't wanna make a bad impression our first day." Ryo said and they walked off in synchronization.
"Ok bye bye!"
"Later Little Bird!"
"What was that?"
"What was what?"
"He called you Little Bird and you didn't flip out. Whenever I called you that it looked like you could get away with murder." Cas frowned between Tag and me. We stood, silent for a second.
"So anyway, we'll be watching the video tonight at 6:30. If you don't show up you'll forever be known as 'The Little Red Engine Who Couldn't' and you'll never know why." She chuckled deviously and dragged me off to Chemistry.
Yay another cliffhanger! So short chapter, i know. but now that i'm back in school and not working like a BILLION HOURS A WEEK i should be able to update it again soonish. im so sorry please don't sacrifice me to the volcano eel!
So check back some other time, until then i guess you'll just have to wait some more. Luv and kitten corpses,
