Syrus: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN GONE!?

Sodom: Yikes. Someone's cranky -_-

Syrus: You're death will be horrible and painful.

Chapter 6

"Yugi! Please come back! You don't have to do this!" Solomon shouted to his small grandson. At the call, Yugi wanted to rush forward and embrace his grandpa, to reassure him that he wouldn't leave, but for the sake of everyone watching him, he had to keep a strong face.

"I can't, grandpa. I'm sorry." Yugi shook his head and smiled, trying to contain tears of his own while drawing his black cloak around him.

"Yugi! Please don't go!" Ryou sobbed and tried to run to his small friend, but was held back by Jou and Malik who also had tears running down their faces.

"Yugi! Come back soon, you hear?! You break out of those bastard's prison and come back home!" Jou called out as he held onto Ryou as if he were an anchor that kept him in place.

"Yeah! If not then," Malik sobbed. "We'll break those motherfuckers' arms and make them set you free!" Malik turned away and cried along with Ryou.

"I will!" Yugi shouted back. "I promise!" Yugi waved at them and a large hand gripped his arm and pulled him back.

"That's enough, runt. Parting is such sweet sorrow and all that shit, but I really don't give a damn about yours. Now get on the stupid horse." Bakura growled sourly and roughly pulled Yugi to the grey mare next to the other two horses. The tears were coming down fast now on Solomon's cheeks as he saw his small grandson climb on the animal, preparing to leave. Suddenly, the red-eyed man came up on his pure black stallion along with his other guards also on their horses.

"As promised, here is the money I owe." He said coolly and the guards dropped the enormous chest on the ground before Solomon.

"Pleasure doing business with you." The red- eyed man smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes and he rode away with Yugi and the guards following after. At that statement, Solomon finally broke. He fell on his knees before the chest and wailed. It felt like he had traded away his grandson's life away for money. The entire circus behind him also mourned at the loss of their friend.

"Ahhh, misery. It's music to my ears." Bakura snickered evilly and Yugi sent a glare at him, but it tore him up on the inside to see his friends and grandfather so miserable. He heard their cries grow faint as they traveled farther and farther away and Yugi's heart was pulling him backwards as the horse moved forwards. He looked around. The guards surrounded him as they rode, so he would have a chance to break away from them right now. Maybe when they dismounted…? Yugi mulled over his escape opportunities in silence for a while as they galloped through the night.

"Where are we going, anyways?" Yugi asked, finally breaking the silence. Bakura smirked.

"Somewhere I'm sure you'll recognize, little one." The red-eyed man answered, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"I'm not little." Yugi grumbled to himself and stared at the neck of his horse. Slowly, as the night wore on, they neared a familiar sight that made Yugi's eyes widen in surprise and shock. They had reached the palace! Yugi shot a worried glance at the red-eyed man and then back at the palace. There was no way that this was their destination. There was no way that this stuck-up prick could live in the palace! Was he some sort of priest of noble that was staying in the palace with the prince? They passed through the white marble archway that led to the main courtyard where the party stopped to dismount. Yugi looked around in absolute awe at the magnificent scene around him. There was a white marble fountain in the center with pristine water coming from the top. Crimson flowers surrounded it and lined the walls around them with patches of white and blue flowers in little patches all over.

"I take it you like the place?" the red-eyed man turned and asked the small boy as he caught Yugi looking around. Yugi snapped back to attention and looked at the man sharply.

"Get off the horse, midget." Bakura growled as he dismounted and moved to pull Yugi off he horse. The rest dismounted as Yugi was pulled off.

Ok, Yugi, you can do this, Yugi thought to himself as he slipped off the horse. Just trip a little as you get down…

"Oops." Yugi pretended to trip and Bakura moved away to let him fall to the ground. Yugi grinned as he regained his balance and took off in a sprint back towards the archway. There was no way he could get back on the horse again without help. It was humongous!

"Heh. No, no, no, little Yugi." The red-eyed man chuckled and somehow caught Yugi's arm before the small boy could make it to the archway.

"No escaping, now." Yugi jerked his arm away and stepped back, only to have his arms caught by someone else. Yugi turned around to see Bakura smirking at him.

"I won't let you escape, little one." The red-eyed man chuckled and stepped forward to hold Yugi's chin between his thumb and forefinger. Yugi spat in the man's face and wrenched his chin away.

"Don't you touch me, you lowlife." Yugi hissed and glared at the man. The older man calmly wiped away the spit from his face and sent a look to the white-haired guard and with a malicious chuckle, Bakura roughly tossed Yugi to the ground. Yugi looked at the man before him and as their eyes met, Yugi's blood froze.

"What did I tell you," the man stepped closer. "About your behavior?" the loud crack or skin hitting skin was heard and Yugi was sent flying sideways. He cradled his now stinging cheek as the man towered over him.

"This is not a question of if you respect me." the man growled and threw off his cloak. "Without a doubt, you will respect me." Yugi gasped as he finally saw figure under the hood.

"Y-you're…" Yugi stuttered but choked on his own words as fear took over.

"I take it you know who I am." The red-eyed man smirked.

"Pharaoh Atemu…" Yugi whispered, seeing, but not really comprehending. The pharaoh smiled evilly as he took in the boy's shocked expression.

"I think that you'll be well behaved from now on, now won't you little Yugi?" he chuckled coldly and turned to the brown-haired guard.

"As punishment, take our guest down to the dungeon to spend the night. That should serve as a reminder of his behavior." Tristan nodded and moved forward to grab Yugi by the arm and started to drag him away.

"Make sure he's comfortable!" Atemu called out and laughed as they disappeared down a dark corridor.

He's finally lost it… Bakura sent a troubled look at the Pharaoh. He's never acted like this before…

"Hmmm…. I wonder how long my little game will last this time?" Atemu murmured to himself and he began to walk into the palace, leaving the horses to be taken care of by the servants.

Sodom: And that was my chapter! My English finished!

Yugi: *holds cheek* Why would you slap me, Yami?

Yami: I would NEVER slap my aibou! *holds Yugi close and glares at me*

Sodom: I'm sorry guys! It was necessary for the story! It will get better between you two! I promise!

Masky: Just for future reference, she might be hurting Yami or Yugi again in one of the later chapters.

Sodom: Don't tell them that! Yami'll kill me!

Yami: *roars* Sodom!

Masky: And you would probably deserve it.

Sodom: You are the worst brother ever -_- Well anyways...R&R, eat rainbows and stay true everyone!
