~Ding Dong~

~Ding Dong~

"Do you think they're here?" Tag looked to me. We stood outside the door of our neighbor's house.

"Yeah, he just moved in and I saw him like 15 minutes ago." I replied.

~Ding Dong~ I tried the doorbell again. Tag jumped down from the porch and began peering into the windows.

"Tag, what are you doing?"

"Looking for him."

"You can't just go looking into people's hous-" The door opened.

"What do you want?" His voice was low and hoarse.

"Oh, hi! We just came to welcome you to the neighborhood, cuz, you're… our… neighbor." He stared at me, he didn't look too happy, more like 'I wish this dumb teenager who's about the same age as me would leave me alone, or jump off a cliff I don't really care.' I cleared my throat and pointed to the ground next to me, indicating that Tag needed to get out of his flower beds.

"I'm Robin and this is Tag." I said as politely as I could to the guy who looked ready to call the cops, or invite us in and never let us leave, one of the two.

"Tag? Did your parents just hate you when you were born?" We stood in shock for a minute before Tag turned to me then left and went back to the house.

"Oh boy." I mumbled.

"Why are you still here?"

"You pissed her off."

"So?"

"So, I would suggest moving again." I turned around and walked back to the house.

"MAN WHAT A FUDGENUGGET!" Tag paced back and forth in front of me, swinging her arms and raging. "IM GONNA GET HIM SO HARD IT MAKES HIS GRANDCHILDREN LAUGH!"

"Tag," She stopped mid-swing to look at me with curiosity, "you wrecked his flowers and creeped on him through his window."

"ARGH! Don't tell me you're taking his side! Please for the love of fudge and nuggets, don't tell me-"

"Hey, what the heck is going on? I could hear you from the street."

"Oh, hey Cas, thanks for knocking, yes you can come in, please make yourself at home!" I said sarcastically, waving him to have a seat on the couch.

"Hey, I was just worried is all." He said, putting his hands in his pockets and scowling a bit.

"You can't just walk into someone else's house!" Tag shouted.

"Oh, so now privacy matters? Hypocrite." I scoffed.

"Hey, I didn't come barging in! I just looked through his windows!" She shouted defensively.

"You can't possibly think that what you did was ok." I stated.

"I can see you two are having a moment so I'll –"

"No Cas, wait. Help us settle this." Tag called menacingly to the grouchy red-head. "Cas, do you think it's ok for someone to say that your parents hate you just because you looked in their windows to see if they were home?"

"What? No, but why were you creeping on a stranger?"

"I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS OK THAT HE SAID THAT TO YOU!" I shouted.

"WELL YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE, THE WAY YOU'RE DEFENDING HIM!" Cas stood back a few feet, clearly afraid of what he'd been dragged into. I stared at Tag, angry that she would accuse me of siding with our fudgenuggety neighbor. But soon I couldn't concentrate anymore and I cracked, the staring was too much.

"PffffHAHAHA!" Tag and I started laughing hysterically.

"Oh my god HAHA-I couldn't – hahehe-I'm sorry! Hahaha!"

"No no! Haha- the Fudgenugget- hahaha- I can't believe we were fighting – hahaha!"

"I'm confused." We both looked up at Cas, still doubled over in laughter and holding onto each other for support. When we finally stopped laughing I turned to Tag and asked,

"Wanna go to the lake house?"

"YOU KNOW IT!" I looked over at Castiel.

"When people- haha, sorry when people come over to visit," I held in my laughter, "they'll be all like 'what's that sound' and I'll be all like, 'oh that's just the sound of someone being a t-hahahahahahah! Sorry, tot-hahaha, Tag help me!"

"I don't know what you're talking about!" I tried to calm myself down.

"That's just the sound of someone being a total fudgenugget!" Tag and I broke down into uncontrollable laughter again. Castiel pulled out a dining table chair and sat down, waiting for us to explain what the fuck was going on.

"Yeah, oh my gosh, I can't believe we were fighting about that!" We were both quiet a second. "I'm going to make him fudge nuggets." I said and we were both laughing again. Cas just sighed.

"Wait, when did you get a lake house?" Nathaniel was sitting on the couch watching TV with us.

"Um, let's seeeee… When my parents died. I inherited it."

"And you kept it?"

"Sure, we never used it, I don't have any bad memories of the place."

"I'm still confused, why were you fighting?" Cas leaned against the wall with his arms folded.

"We have no idea. Anyway, so Nat, you can either stay here and have the house to yourself over break or you can come up to the lake house with us. Your choice. But just so you know, you might have to deal with the disgruntled sounds of fudgenuggetyness next door if you stay here." He thought for a second.

"Who else is going?"

"Well, so far just Tag and me but Cas, you're welcome to come, Ryo and Hich will probably tag along…"

"Can Kentin Come?" Tag asked excitedly.

"Of course! It's fun to pick on Barbie, he's so innocent!" She smiled ecstatically and threw her arms up in the air.

"Will there be enough room for all these people?" Nat asked with a little concern for our disregard of space.

"PffHA! For sure! And if there isn't then I'm sure you wouldn't mind sleeping outside."

"Well as long as there's enough space, yeah I'll come with!"

Tag and I beamed at each other, then both cornered Cas, still smiling.

"Whoa, hey, that's creepy… WHAT?"

"ComE tO The laKe HoUse wIth Uss!" I said in a ghost voice and waved my hands up and down.

"That's not what a ghost sounds like." Tag interrupted.

"Oh, and what do they sound like?" I asked putting my hand on my hip. Cas tried to squeeze out of the corner but Tag pushed him back.

"Say it like this," she cleared her throat,"CasTiEL, YoU wILl GO to tHe LAAaaAKEee HhooOOUuuUseEEe!" She stared bug-eyed at him, inches from his face, and wiggled her fingers at the sides of his head.

"You said it the same as I did!" I protested.

"I know, but I did it cooler." She chuckled.

"GAH! If I say yes, will you leave me alone?" Tag and I looked at each other and shrugged.

"Yeah."

"Sure."

"Geez fine I'll go!" He stepped out of the corner and sat down in the recliner. I plopped down on his lap and he grunted disapprovingly.

"Really?"

"Fine! Don't appreciate it! I'll go sit on Nat's lap!" I started to get up but he pulled me back down and held me around the waist.

"You two are SO cute!" Tag squealed.

"Shut up! I don't squee when you cuddle with Barbie!" She just laughed and Nat looked a bit uncomfortable to see me reclining against Cas's chest.

"We should probably tell the others that they're coming up north with us this weekend."

"Oh yeah, I forgot!" I jolted up and ran for my phone which for some reason I had left in my room. I found it buzzing on the bathroom sink.

-17 new messages from Hich-

-32 new messages from Ryo-

-3 new voicemails from Ryo-

-5 missed calls from Ryo-

What the fuck!

I started listening to the voicemails from Ryo.

_Hey Rob, we have a problem with the Unicorn farm. Hich has been drinking, the cucumbers started bleeding and now it's raining Nutella babies. Um, help?_ Oh Jesus.

Beep. _Robin, yeah it's Ryo again. Only now I think that the gumdrops are singing show tunes and I swear I just saw slenderman with a beard at the mall, either that or it was a statue of Santa Clause in a morph suit. Oh by the way, we're at the mall._ End of message.

Beep. _Hey Birdie! It's ok, everything's fine now. The polar bear was chasing us but then it shot confetti out of its head and now it's not chasing us anymore! Oh, Hich wants to say hi!...Hi Robin! Don't forget the spaghetti! Bye!_ End of messages.

I sighed and started reading Ryo's text messages.

1. Hey so like come get us Hich and I are drunk.

The messages went on and on like this. I flipped to look at Hich's texts.

I was seriously concerned. I quickly called Ryo.

_ROBIN! Finally found the banana?_

_What?_

_Listen, we're at the strip mall –hehe- strip, it's funny cuz we got arrested for stripping at the strip mall._

_WHAT YOU GOT ARRESTED? WHERE ARE YOU?_

_At the strip mall. Did you know their jail cells are made of peppermint candy? I didn't know that._

_Where's Hich?_

_Oh, he's passed out next to me. The fucker couldn't hold his liquor and threw up on a polar bear._

_I'll be there in a couple minutes._ I groaned and hung up. There is no way this was caused by alcohol, I could only hope neither of them died on my way there.

"Tag, get your coat!"

"They did WHAT?! HAHAHA! That's Great!"

"Tag, they got arrested! And I'm pretty sure they got high on something."

"It's still funny though."

"Just sit down there." The lady cop pointed to some seats against the wall. We sat down and waited for Ryo and Hich to walk out. She looked through her papers and scowled. "Is this a joke?"

Tag and I looked at each other confused, "There's no Ryo or Hich in this jail."

Oh boy…

We went back home, not knowing what to do next. If they weren't at the mall then where in hell could they be? As I pulled into the drive, I noticed an extra car, a black challenger parked sideways next to the garage.

I shoved the front door open, putting a dent in the molding where the doorstopper was.

"Ryo, HICH!" The two of them stopped what they were doing to look up at me from the living room. Hich was balanced on the back of the couch, hunched over Cas and Ryo was standing on the coffee table, pointing at a very frightened looking Nathaniel. I stalked over to Hich and threw him to the floor, then jumped over the couch and pulled Ryo into a headlock. "WHAT THE FUCK! I THOUGHT YOU'D BEEN ARRESTED! I THOUGHT YOU'D OD'D ON SOME DRUG, HIGHER THAN BALLS OR PASSED OUT IN A JAIL CELL SOMEWHERE! Then I find you here traumatizing my friends!"

I twisted Ryo around and he fell to the floor.

"What were you two doing?" Tag asked, standing over Hich who remained on the floor. Neither of them replied. I hoisted Cas up by the collar.

"What were they doing? What did they tell you?"

(Believe it or not, this isn't an isolated incident. Before we'd been separated, Ryo and Hich would sneak off with our friends and scare them into not doing certain things. I just can't believe they're still doing that.)

"I don't know, they bust in here and started screaming nonsense about keeping our hands to ourselves! I don't know!" I dropped Cas and turned back to the twins.

"We were setting boundaries." The two said in unison.

"Boundaries, as in… don't take advantage of our helpless little girls?" I asked, amused. There was an audible gulp. "Listen, I know your opinion of guys, but Cas and Nathaniel aren't bad people, I trust them both."

I walked over to Castiel and took a seat on his lap, then as if to prove my point he shifted uncomfortably and tried to turn away. "I know Castiel may look like a delinquent or whatever, but he's a softie, you don't need to worry about him doing anything. And Nathaniel is Nathaniel. Nuf said." … "It's getting late, we should all head to bed. I'll send out a text and invite Kentin, Cas you can stay the night if you want. I understand if you don't want to but… I'd be happy if you came with." I smiled. He scratched the back of his head then sighed,

"Where's everyone meeting?"

~~~ The Next Day at School (Last day before break)~~~
"Hey Iris! Did you get my text message?" I ran up to her at her locker.
"Oh yeah! I was going to tell you that I can't come, but I guess I forgot to text back."
"That's fine, well have a fun break." I smiled, knowing she could be a scatter brain. I wonder what she has going on though…
I made my way to art class with Tag running up behind me.
The room was quiet, literally no one there.
"Where is everyone?" I asked Tag.
"Oh, hi. Un, is this class always so empty?" A voice at the back of the room asked. They walked out into our view. She was a slender girl with long brunette hair. Her outfit was a unique corset style top with torn black jeans. She was really pretty.
"No, I mean it's a small class, but this is ridiculous." I said. She laughed, but it was very obviously a fake laugh. I gave her a questioning look as Tag and I sat down. There was still no one else when the bell rang and a minute passed before the girl spoke up again.
"I'm Deborah by the way. I'm new here." She was sitting at the table in front of us so she turned around to talk.
"I'm Robin and this is Tag." I said, looking up with a friendly smile, "We transferred a few months ago."
"That's cool."
"So, how you liking Sweet Amoris?" Tag asked. I could tell that Tag was as skeptical about this girl as I was.
"I's really nice, lots of cute guys." She added with a wink. Tag and I cracked a grin.
"You're tellin us," Tag whispered, even though there was no one else here.
"Say, you wouldn't happen to know a Castiel? Would you?" She stared at us. Should I tell her? Dows he know her" I can't imagine him getting along with someone so fake. But what if she's his sister or something? I furrowed my brow, pretending to try and remember the name. If they're friends, he'll get mad at me for lying, but if they don't get along…
"No… sorry, he and I don't talk. He's the one with red hair, right? Yeah, to I try not to associate with him, he seems like a troublemaker." Her smile faded and she left the room without a word. I quickly texted Castiel that a girl named Deborah was looking for him.
_YOU TOLD HER WHERE I AM?!_
_No. First, I don't know where you are. Second, she seemed like trouble so I pretended not to know you._
_Shit._
_What?_
_Nothing, Don't talk to her, avoid her. Just trust me._
_Cas, what's going on? Who is she?_ He didn't text me back.
Tag and I walked out into the hallway. Where the fuck is everyone? None of the classrooms had people in them, not even teachers. It was only second hour, so it's not like it was a half day or anything. I decided to text Nathaniel. If anyone knew, he did.
_Nat?_
_Yeah, what is it?_
_Where is everyone?_
_What do you mean?_
_I mean the whole school is empty._
_No it's not. Everyone's still here, except if someone skipped._
_Then why can't I find anyone? Where are you?_
_Can't tell you._
_Stop being so damn cryptic! Why can't you tell me?_
_I'd lose the game._
_WHAT GAME_
_Hide and seek. I thought they told you. You and Tag are the seekers._
_what_
_Good luck_ After that I couldn't get him to text me back.
"The entire school is playing hide and seek." I murmured.
"What? What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Tag, you and I are the seekers! Everyone is hiding from us!"
I grabbed her shoulders and smiled psychotically.
"Oh my god. THIS IS THE GREATEST FUCKING SCHOOL EVER!" She screamed. "Hey I've got walkie talkies in my locker. We can split up and use those to-"
"Why do you have portable radios in your locker?" I interrupted.
"I don't know. They just kinda showed up there one day."
"Well ok then! Let's go, we have, what, 100-ish people to find?"
The second we grabbed the radios, Tag ran down the hall and left the building.
-I'll look around outside and in the outer buildings. You look inside the school.-
-Sounds good.- I made my way around, checking classrooms, peering behind chairs and desks. I walked up to a janitor's closet. It was locked to I grabbed a couple hair pins, jiggled them into the lock and quickly heard both a click and a gasp. I opened the heavy door.
"AH HA! FOUND YOU!" Armin and Alexy looked at me casually as they leaned against the supply shelves. Armin was playing his PSP.
"Wow, that took longer than I thought," said Armin. "I was getting bored."
"Yeah, well no one told me we were playing hide and seek." Armin glared at Alexy.
"Eh-he, I may have forgotten to tell her."
-Alexy and Armin have been found.- I said into the radio.
-Cool. I just found Melody.- I turned to the twins.
"Do you know where anyone else is?" They looked at each other.
"No. We were trying to find a hiding place and so we didn't see." We continued walking down the hall until we got close to a door that lead up to the roof. It was also locked.
-Just found Lysandre.-
-10-4.- I unlocked the door and ran up the steps. When I got out onto the roof I began to hear whispers. I followed the voices, doing my best to not make a sound. The roof was just a large rectangle with gravel covering it. Every time I moved, the gravel shifted and made noise. The voices were coming from the other side of the staircase. I wonder who it is. I was close enough now to tell what they were saying. I stopped at the corner of the wall to listen.
"There's no way she'll find us up here. I mean it's been almost 20 minutes, we'll be the last she finds for sure." A girl's voice, but I still couldn't quite tell who it was.
"Why on earth did you drag me up here?" a boy this time. He sounded annoyed, which meant that the girl had to be queen prataby.
"You know, you may be friends with those annoying girls, but you're really cute. How do you stand to be around them?"
"Are you talking about Robin and Tag? They aren't annoying."
"Sure, whatever." So if my ears were correct, Queen Bee dragged Ryo up to the roof. "Listen, I'm kind-of, popular, so if you go out with me, you'll be popular too." Man she was annoying. I wanted to walk out and stop this, but even more, I wanted to hear Ryo's answer.
"Uh… what are you talking about?"
"I mean, you should date me. And be grateful, not many boys get this opportunity." I rolled my eyes and tried not to wretch. There was a moment of quiet.
"Ok. Sure." WHAT. "How about we see a movie tonight?"
"Sounds good. Pick me up at 7:30." I stepped out, pretending I hadn't been there the last 5 minutes.
"Ha! Thought you could hide from me!" I smiled at Ryo, totally ignoring Amber.
"Actually, yeah. I mean it took you almost half an hour to find me." He said playfully. He apparently had no idea that I had been spying on them.
-I found Ryo and Amber.-
-Oh I'm so sorry.-
"Where did you get radios?" Ryo asked.
"They were in Tag's locker."
"Why?"
"Dunno." The two of them followed me off the roof. Armin and Alexy were waiting at the bottom of the staircase.
"You two wouldn't happen to know where anyone else is?" I looked mainly at Ryo when I said this, thinking Prataby probably wouldn't help.
"Li and Charolette are in the fabrics closet near the sewing room." She said plainly. Probably just wants to meet back up so she can gossip with them.
"I'll stop by the student council room, then we'll go there."
The student council room was always pretty quiet, but today it was like it had been abandoned for years. I couldn't find anything.
"Try in there." Armin suggested, pointing to a small cabinet near the plush chair in the corner. I walked up to it and carefully opened the doors. Nothing, just some binders and office supplies. I thought for a second, then began to pull the cabinet away from the wall.
"What are you doing?"
"I saw this in a movie once." To everyone's surprise, there was a small square door in the wall resembling a hatch. "That wasn't in the movie though. It was actually a parakeet behind the cabinets."
"I didn't know this school had secret doors." Said Alexy.
"Neither did I." I shrugged, then bent down to open the door.
"Is everyone just going to glaze over the fact that the movie had a parakeet which is TOTALLY irrelevant!?"
"We have so far." Inside was dimly lit by someone's phone which promptly turned off. "C'mon out. I found you." Nat crawled out of the small door and into the light.
"Nice job," he said with an impressed grin, "I really thought I would win with a spot like that. Not many people know about that room."
"Well I have the parakeet to thank. So what's a tiny room like that even for?"
"Hidin stuff." He said simply. "Honestly, I don't know. But there are 5 of these kind of rooms in the school. If anyone knows about them then-"
"Then they'll hide there." I finished. "Nat, do you know where those rooms are?"
"Only their general locations." He said sheepishly.
"Good enough."
-Found Nathaniel.-
-Good-
"Nat, are any of the rooms in the gym?" I asked, remembering that Tag was checking the outside buildings.
"No, they're all in the main building."
-I found Rosa.-
-10-4.-
-You keep saying that and I don't know what it means.-
-It means `got it or ok.'"
-Oh, ok, I mean 10-4.- I rolled my eyes and walked back out into the hallway. We found several students in the band room whose names I didn't know. Maybe I should branch out my friend group… Nah. One kid was hiding in a band locker which was stacked on top of two other lockers. We had fun trying to get him to come down. He kept saying that until we got him down, he still wasn't 'found.' So then we headed off to find more people.
"There's a room in the choir hallway somewhere." I looked around, thinking about where there could possibly be a secret door. Then it hit me like a squid flying a jet pack, if the room would be somewhere, it's probably in the director's office. The drama director Mr. Amundson was super paranoid, he'd have a safe room for sure! I rushed down the hallway to his office and opened the door. Immediately I found Astrid who was hiding behind some crates.
"Hey Astrid, I found you." (Astrid is a totally made up character, unlike Amundson who's actually my school's Drama Director. Astrid is in the school's drama club and almost always gets a leading role).
-I found Astrid.-
-Who?-
-The drama girl, short red hair.-
-Oh. 10-4.-
"You can go into the hallway with the others."
"Ok." She jumped up and walked out into the hall as I continued the search. I moved the potted plant, felt the wall behind the desk, moved boxed of t-shirts and scripts. I couldn't find a door. Then just as I was about to leave, I noticed that the carpet was lifted about 3 inches in the corner. I pulled it off the floor to reveal a door in the ground. I stomped on it a few times, then removed the wood panel which was nothing more than white plywood. Hich grinned up at me.
"Hey…"
"Get up here!" He quickly climbed out of the hole.
-I found Jade.- Tag said over the radio. –And Dejaan.-
-10-4. I found Hich.-
-KK.-
"Go wait in the hall, I'm gonna check out the scene shop. There were SO many places a person could hide in there.
Ultimately I found about 5 people here. Mostly drama-ites. One guy in the tool room, a girl in one of the paint cabinets, one girl in the costumes and another hiding behind the projector in the props room. The last place I checked was a sort of storage area above the props room. I had to climb up the scaffolding in order to get up there but there was someone up there. A really cute boy named Dillon. These people must all be crew people, seriously. Weirdoes.
It took maybe two hours to find everyone. It's a really small school with only like 100 people, maybe 150. We rallied in the courtyard.
"Rob, did you find Castiel?" I would remember finding him if I had.
"No. I thought you found him." I said. We looked at each other, then at all the people we had found and Facepalmed. "Does anyone know where Castiel went?" I shouted to the group. No one answered me. "Shit. Tag, you take outside again." I ran back into the school. Where would he hide? He wasn't in the music wing, he wasn't in any of the secret rooms (which had mostly had teachers in them btw) or on the roof. THE ROOF! That reminds me, I have to talk to Ryo later. Where could he be? Boiler room? Teacher's lounge? Catwalk? No, I'd already checked all those places. I rushed through the hallways as I thought through all the hiding places.
-Rob, any luck?-
-No, not yet.- Classrooms? No. Basement? Does this school have a basement?
-Hey, Artie, does the school have a basement?-
-Yeah, the door is under the East wing staircase.- I pivoted and ran towards the stairs. Sure enough, under the stairs was a door that appeared to go into a boiler room of some sort. I jiggled the handle. It was unlocked. Past the door there were crates stacked against one wall and cleaning supplies on the other. Just inside there was a metal spiral staircase, leading down through the floor. There was a single light bulb on the ceiling that was turned on, indicating that someone had been through her before me.
-I think I got something.- I whispered into the radio.
-Really? Where are you?-
-Shh… I'm trying to sneak up on Red.-
-10-4.- I crept down to the stairs as quiet as I could. When I reached the bottom of the stairs there was one more door. I opened it and in front of me was an enormous cavern-like basement. Random piles of stuff covered the floor and stacked high to the ceiling. It was literally like a maze of junk. (Think Room of Requirement all you HP fans).
I crept around the piles, watching for movement like a lion stalking a red-haired gazelle, or maybe more like that one creepy person who's always trying to take pictures of you "for the yearbook."
Behind me there was a clatter as a set of encyclopedias fell to the ground making me jump out of my skin. Then in front of me, all the old, unused chairs that looked old enough to be from before the revolution came crashing down, blocking my path. But instead of letting that stop me, I put on my determination face and began to climb over them. The legs jabbed me in a few unpleasant places before I got over the mess, but I did it eventually! I was about to finally put my feet back on the ground when I felt a hand on my back push me forward. My foot slipped and got caught in the chairs and I fell on my face.
"Stay away from Castiel." I turned my bloody nose towards the voice and saw brunette hair before blacking out.
"Robin…Robin…"
When I woke up my head hurt. Like one of those pulsing pains just behind your eyes, and sharp pain in my nose. My hand found my nose and I gingerly touched it, feeling some blood.
"Robin?" I opened my eyes. It was overly bright in the room. "Robin, you awake?" I felt like I was underwater, the voice morphed and my body seemed heavy. "Hey robin, you fell."
"What were you thinking?!" You knew that climbing over those chairs wasn't safe, or are you just dumb?"
"Hey Red." I whispered, still getting used to being awake.
"Uh, Rob, how you feeling?" Tag asked
"Really… tired. I could sleep for a week."
"Nauseous? Headache?"
"I mean, my head is pulsing a bit and my face hurts. Did I break my nose?"
"No lucky you, but it started to bleed when you hit your head." The door opened and a lady walked in.
"You're fine. Maybe a minor concussion. I don't know, I'm not even an RN."
"Say, where are we?" I looked around just realizing that this wasn't the school nurse's office.
"We're at the hospital. We called an ambulance when Cas found you unconscious. He's been worried sick."
I wasn't sick, don't make things up. I just didn't want you to die or anything."
"Ok, tough guy. Whatever you say." Tag retorted. Cas was probably about to shout some choice words but I spoke up first.
"Cas?" He looked at me a bit pitifully. "Does this mean I found you?" His face contorted into confusion.
"What?"
"I was looking for you, we were playing hide and seek, so does this mean Tag and I win?" I cracked a smile.
"Hide and- I wasn't even in the basement."
"But then how'd you find me?"
"De- someone told me there'd been a loud noise in the basement. I went to look because I know that you can be a scatter brain, I figured you'd probably gotten lost down there or something."
"MIKASAAA! MIKA-"
"MIKAAASAA!" There was screaming from outside the small hospital room and suddenly the twins burst through the door and plowed through Cas to get beside the bed. "MIKASA! MIKASA!" Hich wailed, tears streaming from his eyes.
"Please, Mikasa, don't die! Not now when we're finally reunited!" Ryo grabbed my hand and started stroking it while he, too, cried. I yanked my hand away.
"What the hell is wrong with you two?! I'm not dead!" They both stared at me. Then Hich glomped me.
"Mikasa! You're alive!"
"And –cut it out!" I pried him off of me, "Stop calling me Mikasa!"
"Hey, would you two cut it out? Can't you two take anything seriously?" Castiel said angrily.
"Hey! We take Robin's "
"safety very seriously!"
"Guys, I'm fine."
"No you're not." The nurse interrupted, "I'm prescribing that you refrain from exerting activities for the next week and get 13 hours of sleep every night. Also some pain meds." She scribbled something onto a small slip of paper with her, mostly illegible, doctor scratch, handwriting. "Take this to the local pharmacy. You can go home whenever you feel like." Then she walked out, leaving five teens alone in a hospital room.
"She was pleasant." Mumbled Ryo.
"No, you take Robin home. I'll go to the pharmacy and get the meds for her. Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid and hurt herself again." Cas took the slip and walked off towards the shops in town.
"Ok Tobin, let's go." I wonder what's up with Red. "Robin?" I turned to the group, all of them were waiting for me.
~~~At the House~~~

"Hey Robin, you ok? I heard about what happened." Nat stood up when we walked through the front doors, "WOAH Robin? Guys what's going on?" I was hanging from Ryo and Hich's arms, they'd hooked them under my arms and started dragging me around so I hung my head to make it look like I was unconscious.

"We were ready to go home, so we checked her out from the hospital."

"Is she still unconscious?! What the hell guys! She's not ready to be back yet!" He said worriedly. Nat pulled the three of us over to the couch and tried to lay me down, but I yanked his leg and he lost his balance. I ended up laying across his lap. His face turned red and I stuck out my tongue with a mocking face.

"I'm fine!" Everyone else (Tag, Ryo and Hich) all sat down and watched me expectantly. "What?"

"Tell us what happened." Ryo said in a monotone voice.

"Um… I fell."

"But how? What do you remember?"

"I was climbing over some chairs, my foot got caught and I fell on my face. Wait, you don't think it was sabotage do you?"

"I think there's always someone who wants to hurt us. All of us." Ryo said, still monotone.

"No, guys, my foot got stuck, that's all." At least, I don't remember anything else.

"Well ok."

~~The First Day of Break~~

The small Café bustled as people arrived. Some I didn't know, some I recognized from school or seeing around town. Our group of friends was almost all here, we were just waiting on Lysander. Leigh couldn't come and Rosa was going to stay and help run his shop. Current attendance was: Me and Tag (obviously), Kentin, Castiel, Nathaniel, Ryo, and Hich.

"Is everyone packed already?" Loud 'yes's' resounded from the group. "Lys! You're here! Hey Rosa!" They walked into the small café.

"Sorry we're late, Rosa couldn't find her keys."

"Yeah, I looked everywhere for it but then remembered that I had put them in the car last night so I wouldn't lose them."

"Well, thanks for getting Lys here! Ok listen up!" Rosa left, "No drugs, I'm lookin at you Kentin!" He jumped a bit and looked confused. "Try not to set the toilet paper on fire."

"That was ONE time!" Tag shouted

"If you're going swimming, make sure there's someone else with you, otherwise if you drown, no one will know." Silence. "There are four bedrooms, Tag and I will take one of the downstairs ones, the rest is first come, first serve." A glimmer of competition flashed in Ryo and Hich's eyes. "We will be staying a total of four days because it's a long weekend, but you're free to leave any time if you want. We have a sub-basement level. None of you are allowed down there, not that you'd even be able to find it."

"If we can't find it and we're not allowed down there, then why did you tell us about it?" Asked Kentin.

"Brilliant question, Barbie, I just want to see how many of you will fail at finding it. And finally, I will be playing music 24.7, if you have a problem with my music then feel free to take it up in writing with the complaints department." I held up a small trash bin. "Ok, we'll lead the way, yall just follow us, it's about a 2 hour drive." Everyone got up to go to their vehicles.

A half hour later I pulled into a gas station. As soon as we parked, Tag rushed into the building. I leaned against the car waiting for her.

"Hey, what's going on?" Cas walked up lazily. He and Lys were riding together.

"Tag had to go to the bathroom. Don't ask me why she didn't go before. This is lie, a tradition of hers." He sighed and walked back to where everyone else was parked. A few minutes later we were on the road again.

I pulled slowly into the long gravel drive and parked at the side of the cabin. The others pulled up close behind me and everyone slowly got out, stretching their arms and legs.

"Welcome to the lake house!" I shouted. The house was just to our right and past that the ground sloped down. Leading to the lake. Directly in front of us was a fire pit surrounded by several wooden seats and a porch swing. Behind us was a wooden shed. In front of the house to our right was a section of uncleared forest.

"Man, this place is great. Why don't you just live here?" Cas asked.

"Cuz I wanted to go to school but the closest one is an hour's drive." Fuck unpacking, everyone stood at the door with one or two small bags, waiting for me to unlock it.

"Take off your shoes when you get in." I unlocked the door and everyone walked in, very civilized, but as soon as the shoes were off everyone ran to claim a bedroom. The two rooms upstairs were quickly taken so I went downstairs to take one of the other two rooms. When everyone had a bed (or a couch or a giant beanbag), we started to unload the cars. Tag and I unpacked some food from the trunk and put that in the kitchen.

"WAH! YOU HAVE A THEATER DONW HERE?"

I walked downstairs to see Ryo slouched on the couch and flipping through channels on the TV.

"Yeah, and a popcorn maker, and an arcade game." I said pointing to each of them. "So are you just gonna watch Netflix all weekend?"

"Nah, I'll come up for food." He said laughing. "Kidding, swimming, bonfire, don't worry, I'll come out of the cave."

I walked into the room Tag and I were sharing.

"Tag, what is that?" she looked up at me smiling.

"It's an anti-intruder alert system!"

"Why? Where did you get that thing?"

"I got it off a shady guy in the back of the gas station we stopped at."

"What? I didn't know you could wire things." She looked at me like 'how did you not know that?' "Why are you putting up a security system in our bedroom?"

"Elementary my dear Robin!" Now it was my turn to give her a weird look, "Ok, well for A: there's a bunch of guys here, never know what they'll try with their raging hormones and confused sexuality, and for B: the sub-basement entrance is in this room and like you said, we don't want anyone going down there."

"Dude shut up! Someone might hear you!" I whispered.

"I'm gonna go swimming." She said abruptly and left the room.

~~~ 3:05 PM ~~~
"Who's coming to the lake with me?" Tag shouted.
"Oh, I am! Let me get my swimsuit!" Hich screamed from his bedroom downstairs. A few more hazzas.
We raced down the steep stairs to get to the dock.
"You have a boat?!" Ryo shouted.
"Yeah, we can use that tomorrow if you want."
"Why didn't you tell me you had a BOAT?!" I stared at him for a second, then rolled my eyes and set out a towel on our small patch of beach. Hich ran out into the water with Kentin and dragged Tag down with them. Lysandre and Cas set up on either side of me and sat down. We sat there for maybe 20 minutes without saying anything. Then Cas turned to me and asked,
"Hey wanna play truth or dare?"
"God, yes please. Anything to fill the silence."
"Castiel, are you sure that's a good idea? Robin knows no shame."
"C'mon Lys! Play with us! What could go wrong?" I grabbed him around the neck and pulled him into our triangle.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes, try and run and I'll hunt you down. Ok, Cas, you first, Truth or Dare?"
"Truth." Lys and I both stared at him, "What? I'm an open book, ask me whatever." Lysandre leaned over to me and whispered in my ear. I grinned and cleared my throat.
"Cas, who here has the best ass? And you can't say yourself or Lysandre, that's a cop-out."
"That's not what I said." Lysandre muttered.
"I thought of my own question, sorry Lys." I turned back to Cas, "So, who is it?" He shifted a bit.
"This is an impossible question."
I chuckled, "Whaddya mean?"
"I guess… Tag has a nice butt?"
"YEA I DO!"
"Oh, so you've been looking at Tag's ass?" I teased.
"See, that's what I meant!" I laughed, "Whatever, someone else go." We sat quiet for a little while. "Ok, fine, Robin truth or dare?"
"Dare." I leaned back against Lysandre's shoulder as Cas thought.
"Dare you to strip for me." Se smirked triumphantly which quickly turned into shock as I stood up and began taking off my shirt.
"Gosh Cas, is that ALL you think about? Tag's ass and seeing me naked?"
"That's… not what I meant." Someone whistles from the dock.
"Yeah Rob! Take it off!"
"You should join me Tag! Free the tits!" Out of the corner I could see Cas dying a little bit.
"Of course she wouldn't be phased by it." He muttered.
"Oh, just admit you enjoy this." He looked away.
"Caaasss." I wrapped my arms around his neck from behind and pushed his cheeks together with my palms. "Haha! You totally want me!" Lysander smirked, knowing how torturous this was to Castiel.
"Robin, truth or dare?" I stopped momentarily to answer.
"Well, I just did dare, so truth." Lys thought for a second.
"Would you let Castiel bind you and have his way with you during sex?"
"Well, we've never had sex, but if he really wanted to… yeah, I suppose I'd let him, but only if I was allowed to do the same to him." Castiel fell to the ground, curled up on his side.
"Rob, did you break Red?" Tag shouted from the dock. I looked down at the face-down red-head.
"I think he'll be fine!" Tag ran up to us and sat down.
"Hey Lysandre! Truth or dare?"
"Since I fear what you might have me do, the answer to that is truth." Tag grinned and without so much as a blink, asked
"If you suddenly became a tree, would you want people to look past that and have sex with you as though you were still human?"
"Of course, though I wouldn't want just anyone to take advantage of me in that state so I'll make a list in case that ever happens."
We (Tag and I) laughed hysterically, we hadn't expected a legit answer. Then Lysandre turned to me,
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"What kind of sex do you like the best? Tough, Kinky, something else?"
"I like a lot of kinds of sex. They can all be fun when they're done right." At that point Cas stood up and went back to the cabin. "What's the matter Red?" I shouted after him.
"This is getting out of control." I heard him mutter.
"Wow, I didn't have you pegged as a prude." He kept walking. I turned back to Lys and Tag. "I'm pretty confident in… all this." They grinned.
"Aren't you worried one of the others will see your scars?"
"What you mean Kentin? Cuz he's the only one here who hasn't seen them. And he's far away enough that-"
PEWWWWWWW CRACKLE Crackle crackle
"Who's shooting off fireworks?! It's not even 6 yet!" Suddenly someone crashed through the trees into our yard.
"Hey are you ok?!" I looked at the kid, he seemed really concerned.
"I'm so sorry! We were setting them up for tonight, they weren't supposed to go off." I stood up and walked over to him.
"Well, you nearly took my head off, but other than that, yeah we're ok."
His face turned red and it looked like his head was about to explode, "Um, are you ok?"
"Are you guys nudists or something?"
"Nudists? Um, no? Why would you-" Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned to see Lys holding a towel out to me. "Oh, that…" I took the towel.
"Uh.." I looked him over for a second.
"Do I know you?"
"I – I don't"
"Tag, come over here!" The kid's eyes got wide.
"Does he look familiar?" She looked him up and down. Then after a second of glaring, picked up some sticks and started throwing them at him.
"The power of Christ compels you! The power of Christ compels you!"
"Tag, what the fuck?!"
"You son of a bitch! Why are you here?!" She picked up a rock.
"Tag STOP!" I stole the rock before she could throw it. The kid ran back through the trees to his own yard. "WHAT WAS THAT?!" She looked me dead in the eyes.
"That boy has been stalking us since we first moved to Amoris."
