Do not…move…a muscle…stay right there…and shut up!...
Ok, now that that random thought is out.
I have NO IDEA where this came from but it did, so more AJxBlake fluff! (It's not the focus but it's the end result… also… Arkos…) You anti-fluff people probably hate me by now… hopefully you just left by now… I already said these are the only ideas I have now and I need to use them eventually so yeah… Sorry for anyone that doesn't enjoy constant romance stuff but I really like writing it for some reason. Well the reviews I get say otherwise… yay!
Alright, so, set up the scene for this "Play."
Jaune and Pyrrha are 30+ and married. (Much to Pyrrha's hidden happiness and Jaune's embarrassment) Picture Jaune with facial hair and whatever you need to imagine for Pyrrha to appear older.
Port is also that much older, or you could just picture him the same way it doesn't really matter for him.
But AJ and Blake are still 17.
No Grimm.
You'll be able to figure out the rest as you go on… probably… I'm not building a world here, just doing another one-shot short story.
This is not a copy of another movie's scene or whatever, this is an original thought I had but the characters here are actors, just like the last fic like this. The last fic like this was acting out a known scene, this is acting out a unique scene that I thought up, get it?
You could picture the setting to be similar to the time when slavery was in America on Earth, but Remnant's version, or just picture it during canon times. Whichever works for you. (Posting this early so you guys get it earlier cause I'm just that nice… and I was woken up for my school appointment so I'm awake at the moment to do so… I guess it works out for all you people on the east coast)
"Alright. She better be worth what I'm paying for." Jaune said as he shook hands with Port, sealing the deal.
"Don't worry my boy." Port answered. "She's a very obedient animal." He didn't notice Jaune scowl. "She has always behaved from what my clients have told me. Just be careful with your wife, she might assume you are doing something with her… Or maybe that's your plan! I won't judge!" Port finished with a random bow.
"You seem to forget my wife was the one who asked for the help. And she would kill me if I did anything with another woman." Jaune pointed out.
"Good man! Loyal to your woman! Hopefully she returns that loyalty." Port commented.
Jaune sighed before closing the door on Port and turning away from the door of his house to look at the shy Faunus girl before him.
She already wore a maid outfit and held a suitcase with more outfits inside. She had raven black hair, amber eyes, and cat ears sticking out of the top of her head.
"So… what is your name?" Jaune asked the girl.
"B-Blake…" The girl slowly said, scared about how this man will treat her.
"Blake what?" Jaune asked.
Blake finally looked him in the eyes to give him a confused and curious look. "B-Belladonna?"
"Well then, Miss Belladonna. I'm Jaune. Jaune Arc. Let's head to the guest room where you will be staying." Jaune said as he motioned for her to follow.
Blake was introduced to a fairly decent sized room with its own bed and closet, window on the far end, she couldn't believe it.
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why are you giving me this? My own room!?" Blake explained.
"Why? What did your other masters give you?" Jaune asked, curious.
"A roof over my head that I didn't want to be under…" Blake said more to herself than him. She jumped when Jaune put his hands on her shoulders.
"Look at me." He ordered and she reluctantly did.
"This is your new home now, ok? I am not like your other owners… I swear." Jaune said to her.
"I… I don't believe you." She said as she backed up away from him.
Jaune sighed. "You don't have too just yet. But over time you'll see that I wasn't lying." He said before he turned to leave. "I'll leave you to settle in! My wife will be over later!"
Blake did as she was told and settled in to her room, looking over the extra outfits she was given to bring here. She was also thinking over what her new master had said, he seemed friendly, but she had been fooled once by that and wouldn't be fooled again. She waited for the woman of the house to come over and was surprised to see a beautiful woman with emerald green eyes and flowing red hair. Blake also looked down and noticed she was a few months pregnant, and wondered how they would be able to stand her being anywhere near a child.
"Hello there Miss Belladonna! I'm Pyrrha! How are you settling?" Pyrrha asked the Faunus girl.
"I'm fine um… Mrs. Arc." Blake said politely, wondering if the wife would be just as supposedly nice as Jaune or if she would be the racist one.
"Oh please! Call me Pyrrha! I hate to be cliché, but it makes me feel old when you call me Mrs." Pyrrha requested. (Although she secretly liked being called it, but she needed to stay in character)
"As you wish." Blake said shyly.
"I see you're still untrusting of us, I understand. I'll just leave you alone till tomorrow, ok? I guess I'll just say it now, goodnight Miss Belladonna!" Pyrrha said politely before leaving.
Blake was smarter than to accept their seemingly friendly act just yet.
The first day she got up early and was ready for her first day in the new house.
"Goodmorning Miss Belladonna!" Jaune greeted when she stepped out of her room.
Blake was surprised by this but soon stood up straight.
"Good morning Master!" She said quickly, expecting a scolding or beating for something she had done wrong.
Jaune instead, laughed.
"Please, call me Jaune if you will." Jaune requested.
"I couldn't possibly call you Jaune, Master." Blake said, not looking up at him.
Jaune sighed. "If you wish, but if you ever call me Jaune, or even just sir, I won't complain. Anyway, come on! It's time for breakfast."
Blake followed him to find his wife Pyrrha just finishing up breakfast and setting it on the table.
"Hello honey! Good morning Miss Belladonna! Hope you don't mind bacon, eggs, and pancakes." Pyrrha said as she set down the last of the plates and sat down.
"CAN I!? I mean… May I?" Blake asked after calming down.
They both chuckled at this.
"Yes, you may." Jaune said softly before sitting down.
Blake took a seat between them and looked at them both carefully. They took this as their cue to eat first before she would trust the food, so they did. They soon looked up again to see Blake rapidly devouring the food before her, she froze realizing how much of a mess she was making on herself.
"I'm so sorry! I'll go clean myself up!" Blake said before trying to stand up.
"No Miss Belladonna, let me get that for you." Pyrrha said and used a napkin to wipe the food of Blake's face. Blake kept flinching, excepting pain, and repeatedly not finding any.
"I promise I won't hurt you, and please tell me if I ever do so I know to stop." Pyrrha said softly.
"Why are you both so nice to me? Aren't I an animal!? A monster!?" Blake couldn't stop the outburst before it came out and for a moment she thought her life was over.
Pyrrha and Jaune looked at each other and nodded. They had done their research about the Faunus Slave Trade, they had an idea what things were like for these slaves.
"Well… we aren't like anyone that has bought a slave before." Jaune started.
"I saw you out there, all of you up at that auction. I hated it, but when I saw you, I don't know why, but I couldn't stand it. I had to get you out." Pyrrha explained.
"We simply aren't racist." Jaune continued, making Blake look up at him hopefully. "We don't hate Faunus, we don't see you as animals or monsters. We see you as human beings that have extra animal traits… In the end, humans are just another kind of animal." Jaune pointed out.
"I… I want to believe you…" Blake started.
"You can. I promise you, you can" Pyrrha said, taking the girl's hand.
"This…" Blake pulled back the clothes on her right shoulder and showed a scar across her whole shoulder. "This came from the second to last master I had…" She started tearing up at the memory and closed her eyes in a vain attempt to keep them from pouring out. "He was the worst… He enjoyed being nice at first, then he would suddenly turn into the cruelest of them all." Blake broke down in sobs when she suddenly felt something on either side of her and opened her eyes to find they were both hugging her.
"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry that happened to you." Pyrrha said, starting to tear up herself.
"That is why we got you. We can't make you free, because of an agreement that we signed. Supposed to be for just in case you aren't happy with the slave, they can go back into the Slave Trade and they can keep making money." Jaune said. "We got you with the intent to keep you, we can't free you, but we can give you a home here.
Blake laughed despite her sorry state. She then sniffled before speaking.
"It's funny. All the others were intent on keeping me as well, but I fought back when I had enough of each of them, then they would kick me out." Blake said as she wiped her tears away, and then took the tissue Pyrrha handed her.
"I figured Port was lying when he said you would behave. Bastard leads the whole damn Trade, he was just trying to get money from me and keep me from changing my mind. But you'll find that it's not so bad here." Jaune joked.
"Excuse me if I still don't trust you yet." Blake said with a chuckle.
"We completely understand, you'll come around though, I'm sure of it." Pyrrha said. (This would have been one the part where they stood side by side to show they were good people and then they would kiss, but Jaune will only take acting so far apparently…)
"Alright well, if we're done eating, do you know how to clean the dishes?" Jaune asked Blake.
"Y-Yes." Blake said, still recovering from her unexpected loss in composure. 'Why did I break down in front of them? I should have been beaten for that!' A small part of her, a very small part, told her it was because she does believe that they are good people, but she didn't believe that yet, but she had to notice the way they reacted to her sadness… she might come around sooner than she thought.
Blake proceeded to clean the dishes alongside Pyrrha. Pyrrha said nothing, wanting to let the quiet silence prove that she wouldn't hurt the poor girl. 'Slavery is the last thing that should be happening to any girl her age.' Pyrrha thought angrily.
At that point when Pyrrha was distracted she dropped one of the plates and it shattered on contact with the floor. Pyrrha reacted quickly.
"Crap! Step back!" She ordered and Blake took a step back before remembering her role here.
"No, let me clean that up." Blake requested.
"No, stay back!" Pyrrha ordered, before going back to picking up the pieces. "You can't afford to step anywhere here, and I can't move my feet from this spot until I get every sharp piece. Either of us could have our feet stabbed."
Blake was shocked that she cared about her getting injured, as opposed to the others that enjoyed seeing her harmed, and even more they enjoyed causing it.
"But… you're preg-"
"Yes, I know I am a very stubborn woman." Pyrrha interrupted, smiling.
"Ok, I think I got the sharpest pieces, but be careful." Pyrrha warned and Blake quickly went over to get the last few pieces.
After that mess, and Jaune quickly checking on them, they went back to finishing up the dishes.
The next day, breakfast, dishes, a calm day after that.
Blake was walking around at the moment. Pyrrha seemed happy for the helper to get things done faster, Blake noticed. No terribly difficult work yet, no scolding, no beatings, no racist remarks, and they were just. So. Nice. Blake was wondering if maybe she really should just believe them now and regret it later rather than waste the nice time she could be having now.
"Ah shit!" Jaune swore as he spilled his coffee on the floor of the kitchen.
Blake noticed this and quickly turned the corner, hoping to get away from the work of cleaning up a mess, which was instinct back with other masters.
"Blake!" Jaune called quickly.
Busted.
She was sure to get a beating for trying to scurry away from a job.
"Sorry Master! I-"
"Don't just stand there silly! Get over here and help me clean this up!" Jaune said jokingly.
"Help?" Blake registered everything he just said. He wasn't just not angry with her, he also just wanted her help, like she was an everyday person and he was just politely asking a stranger for help. She tried to get away from her job as a slave (A well-dressed slave at least), and he didn't care in the slightest.
She broke out of her stupor and went over to help him clean up the spill.
A week later.
"Goodmorning Miss Belladonna!" Jaune greeted.
"Good morning Master." Blake said with a bow and a smile.
"What's with you? You look like you got a good night's sleep." Jaune commented.
"I've decided I believe you."
"Oh you have!?" Jaune said shocked by the news and hugged the girl suddenly, which scared her. "Oh I'm so glad! Welcome to the family!"
"What?" She asked, still dazed from the hug.
"I am so glad you believe us! I hated treating you so well knowing that you think it's all a ruse, so I'm very glad to hear you coming around and I'm sure my wife will love to hear it even more! Come on!"
His enthusiasm brought a smile to her face. Not once had they wronged her in any way. Not only that, but they also treat her really well, if not being treated badly wasn't good enough, they also treat her like an equal! No, even better than that! Like family!
"Oh I'm so glad to hear that!" Apparently Pyrrha gives sudden hugs as well. "I couldn't be happier to hear you finally accept us!"
"Just by your reactions I think I'm glad I did as well." Blake joked, getting a laugh from them.
"She has a sense of humor! I had no idea!" Jaune exclaimed like it was some wondrous thing.
"Blake." Pyrrha started, putting a hand on her shoulder to bring her attention to her. "I want you to know, that I will gladly welcome you around my child, you can even help raise him, or her."
"Really? You would really let a Faunus near your child?" Blake asked, astounded.
"Of course! I told you, we see Faunus as equals." Jaune said, standing next to Pyrrha.
Blake wiped a tear from her eye. "I… thank you… I only wish now that there were more humans like you two.
"Me too…" Jaune said sadly. "But! Our child will be raised around one! So you won't have to worry about him or her hating Faunus!" He pointed out.
And now we skip two months later.
"Miss Belladonna! Can you come help me for a moment!?" Jaune called.
"Yes Master!" Blake called back as she went to where she heard his voice.
Jaune sighed. "You know I said not to call me that!" He complained.
Blake chuckled. "I know Jaune, I'm just teasing!"
"Yeah yeah, can you help me move this table? My wife can't help me anymore with the baby and all." Jaune requested.
"Of course." Blake exclaimed and helped him move the table to another room.
Both of them took a moment to catch their breath after moving the large table.
"I thought this was stuff that only the 'big, strong, men' do." Blake teased.
"There is no way I could have moved that table alone, it was too big to move without the chance of it tipping over while I carried it above my head. And my wife will kill me if I drag it." Jaune explained.
"I see." Blake said, recovering. "Well, the laundry should be done soon. I'm gonna get back to that."
"Alright." Jaune said as he waved, even though she had turned her back to him and wouldn't see him waving.
She went back to the small room with the laundry when she suddenly heard "Pssst!" she looked out the open window nearby and was suddenly pulled out of it. She fell into a roll and when she stopped rolling she was looking straight into bright green eyes with flecks of gold in them, unmistakable eyes.
"AJ!?" She shouted happily and he cupped his hand over her mouth. (yeah… the A.N. kind of ruined that surprise didn't it?...)
The brown haired boy looked around cautiously, in case anyone heard her shout.
"Blake?"
"We need to move, now!" AJ pulled her up and took her hand, running down the street to the city before she could say anything.
She tried to tell him to stop but he was having none of it until he turned into a secluded alley that had been modified with a secret hole to get in. Inside it had a couch and a small box filled with supplies like food and water.
"Ok, I don't think your master saw us." AJ said, panting from the run into the city.
"Look, AJ I-" He interrupted her with a hug.
"I'm so glad I found you, I'm so glad you're ok." AJ said happily.
"Look, I'm glad to see you as well, like, really glad, but I need to go back." Blake said.
"Where? To your master? Why!? We can stay here!" He exclaimed, still smiling, motioning to everything around them as he sat on the couch.
"Wait, how did you get away from Johnson?" Blake asked suddenly.
"Well, after you were sold away, he cracked down on me, since he had no one else to beat. I at one point just bit his ear off and ran while I had the chance, bastard deserved it. Saw the place you live at now, nice house actually." AJ commented.
"Yeah, about that…"
"Why would you go back to them?" AJ asked, standing up from the couch.
"Because… I know this is going to be hard to believe but… they actually aren't that bad."
"Really? Well how 'not bad' are they?" AJ asked sarcastically.
"They… actually are really nice. They told me that they think of Faunus as equals and simply bought me to save me from the Slave Trade." Blake explained.
"I… find that very hard to believe but don't see why you would make that up and tell me that." AJ said reluctantly, trying to think why she would lie. "Blake, I searched the entire damn city we were in to find you, almost got caught multiple times when I decided to trash the places that had slaves, and eventually found a lead that led me to this city, and to you. Why not just stay with me?" AJ asked.
"Let me explain." Blake proceeded to explain what they had told her, and she told him how everyday life has been for her the past two months, how nice and non-violent it is.
"If that is seriously how your life is with this new master of yours, I want in. I knew all humans weren't bad, but I thought none of the good ones would be a part of the slave trade." AJ mentioned.
"I'm sure they would welcome you." Blake smiled.
She walked up to him, smile changing to… something else he wasn't familiar with before she put her hands around his neck and kissed him. Time froze for both of them for quite awhile, but it was only an instant in reality before the kiss was broken and she smiled at him.
"I always wanted to do that. Johnson would never have allowed it though." Blake said.
AJ was still frozen for a few seconds before he recovered from his first kiss. "I… may or may not have wanted you to do that as well." He said sheepishly.
Blake giggled before they started kissing again.
"Yep, glad I found you." AJ said with a chuckle.
"Why don't we go back to Mr. Arc's place, I'm sure we can get him to let you in." Blake said and took his hand to walk out of the secret passage.
The moment they walked out everything went dark for AJ.
Blake shouted seeing AJ suddenly collapse and saw Jaune behind him.
"Did he hurt you? Are you ok?" Jaune asked quickly, checking her for damage.
"I'm fine Jaune. He didn't kidnap me." Blake answered.
AJ woke up tied to a chair, his head hurt, and there was a human glaring at him, not good.
"So, why did you kidnap her!?" Jaune asked angrily.
"She's my friend! I thought she was in trouble and I wanted to get her out." AJ defended.
"Well she's family to me, and I will not allow any harm to come to my family." Jaune said.
AJ glared defiantly at him.
"She explained everything to me, you know."
"What did she say?"
"She said you were good people. Is that true?" AJ asked.
"I called her family, what do you think?" Jaune responded.
"Could just be another word for property." AJ mumbled.
"I'm just gonna drop the act now." Jaune started, making AJ look up at him curiously. "I saw the way she looked at you while you were unconscious, sorry by the way, and she explained everything to me as well."
On cue Blake ran in and untied him before hugging him.
"Any friend of Blake's is a friend of mine. Welcome to the family, AJ." Jaune said.
"Thank you so much sir!" AJ said as he hugged Blake tightly and then kissed her.
"What did you think when Blake told you about us?" Jaune asked.
"I thought she had to be lying but couldn't see why she would, so I figured I would come over and see for myself, and maybe join." AJ answered.
"Well, you joined, and you'll see soon enough." Jaune said.
Some number of months later.
"Can you keep an eye on J.J. for me you two? Gotta check the door." Jaune said after he heard a knock at the door.
Blake no longer wore the maid outfit and instead had some casual wear on now, as well as AJ, who had less torn up clothes then when he lived on the streets, as in they weren't torn up at all.
The cute little blond haired, green eyed boy looked at them happily, fully used to them. John Jr. Named after Jaune's father. So, J.J.
"Baa! Baa!" He cried out happily.
Blake giggled and AJ chuckled as they looked at the boy.
"So does this make you want a kid more, or less?" Blake asked AJ as she held his hand.
"This? More." AJ answered. "Him throwing up? Less." AJ added.
"Eww." Blake commented.
"Don't worry you two, I'll clean it up." Pyrrha said as she came around the corner.
"Heh, pretty funny to say that to someone who isn't even free, isn't it?" AJ joked.
"Yes it is. But we've said it enough to you two: You are slaves on paper, nothing more." Pyrrha said as she cleaned up the mess. "Feel free to start a family whenever you wish though." She teased, causing the two to blush.
"We're too young for that, Pyrrha!" Blake defended.
"Of course! I forgot you two agreed, nothing like that till you're older!" Pyrrha remembered.
Meanwhile, At the door.
"Yes? Why hello Mr. Port!" Jaune threw on a fake smile. "What are you doing here?"
"I am here to confiscate the slave that goes by AJ! He broke away from the system and he needs to be written back on it and thrown back into circulation!" Port answered angrily.
"Well I'm sorry Mr. Port, but I won't be giving him to you." Jaune said, losing his fake smile and getting a serious look.
"Why not!?"
"Because he's mine now. You don't have to worry about him."
"You still have to pay for him to own him!" Port argued.
"Stop trying to con me out of my money, Peter." Jaune said bitterly.
"You will refer to me as Mr., damn it! And you have to pay for that animal!"
"News flash, he's not an animal!"
"What!?"
"He told me what he did to your Trade. Consider my payment getting a thorn out of your side. I am not giving him up and breaking up the relationship he has with Blake."
"This is an outrage! They are just animals! What do you care! You. Must. Pay!"
"Good day, Peter." Jaune said simply and shut the door on him.
"This is an outrage Jaune Arc! I demand you OPEN THIS DOOR! ARC!? AAAAARRRRC!" Jaune could no longer hear him as he walked back over to see his wife, son, and the couple all standing around and smiling. They all stopped to look up at him.
"Who was at the door?" Pyrrha asked.
"Just an animal, don't worry." Jaune answered with a grin.
Yay! Happy endings! I like this ending! I'm happy that I made it! Seriously, I am not bad at the endings of the things I've been posting lately! I'm actually a bit proud of myself!
I started this fic not a day after I finished the Truth or Dare chapter! Burst of creativity, HOOOOOOO! (Sir Hammerlock Reference!)
I'm gonna be honest with you, that was my two favorite ships right there. Yes one isn't canon, I don't care! The only canon ship I really like is JaunexPyrrha… ok AND RenxNora, obviously.
Hope you enjoyed this odd fic, I had the idea but knew the only way it would work is if it was Beacon Drama Club. Funny how that idea suddenly gives me variety I couldn't have had. Like, I couldn't have made this without making it a separate fic if it wasn't for Drama Club. Ok I guess I could have, but then it would have been odd to just suddenly have them be different from what they are normally. It also gave me an opportunity to throw in a bit of humor! So, yay!
Yeah yeah "stop forcing your ideology on us" if you don't like it don't read it, seriously, this is just a stupid complaint. I'm not forcing it on you, I'm just using it in my fanfictions. In other words… DEAL WITH IT.
Hope you enjoyed, follow, favorite, review but only if you enjoyed, check out my other fics if you enjoyed, have a great week!
Port, Jaune, Pyrrha, AJ, and Blake all bowed before the audience.
"Wait, who's kid is that then?" Yang asked when the clapping stopped, pointing at the boy.
"Puppet!" Everyone looked up at the voice's source and saw Ren holding the puppet strings.
(Yep, nailed it… Two Thumbs Up… 10/10 would fic again… Idk, ok? XD)
