The soft sound of a summer breeze that would cling to one's ear, blew wildly, as a little girl walked down the courtyard with her usual pencil and sketchbook. She had brown hair down to her shoulders, which was getting messed up by the wind, but at age eleven she didn't really care too much if it was getting messed up or not. She walked over to sit under her favorite cherry tree, while she opened up her book to start a new drawing. The girl got to draw peacefully for a while till a young lad suddenly came up and snatched up her sketchbook.

"Hey!" Her usually soft voice hitched up with anger as she jumped up from her spot.

"What strange and weird drawings are you making now?" Bobby Johnson sneered as he took the sketchbook and tossed it to the side.

"Quit it! I'm just drawing, leave me alone!" She huffed as she walks over to pick her book until she felt him tug on her hair. She gave a little whimper as her hands shot up to feel his having a tight hold on her brown locks.

" You little twit! Nothing but a freak aren't you?"

She yelped again as she tried to loosen his grip while a little tear escaped from her eye. She was about to say something until she felt his grip off of her hair. She quickly turned, while rubbing her head, to see Bobby was being pitched up by the ear by an older lad.

"Bobby Johnson! What on earth are you doing to her? How dare you treat a girl like that?" The older boy named Thomas Greenly sternly scold to Bobby.

"She's no girl, she's a freak! A freak I tell you!" He sneered at her again as she quickly wiped away the stray tear off her cheek. Thomas was scolding Bobby but stopped when they heard-

"Serenity? Serenity, where are you?"

She flinched as she heard Sister Marie call for her. Bobby was then dropped on the ground as he quickly got up to run away. Thomas walked over and picks up her sketchbook, to hand it over to her. She gives a little smile as she said in a soft voice.

"Thank you Tom..."

"No problem, little pup. Now go on, Sister Marie is calling for you." He grinned as he ruffled her hair.

She scrunched up her nose for him messing her hair up even more, then she gave him a little hug. She quickly ran back to the main building of the Orphanage, listening to Sister Marie still calling for her. She took a quick glance at the sign she was passing which said:

St. Luminous Orphanage: To give a light to every child.

St. Luminous was a small, but very well kept orphanage. The nuns took in any child that had been found with no home or family to take them in. It had very simple white walls with different rooms for different ages and genders. Most children do get adopted but those who don't end up staying until they are of age and out of the government system. They taught a standard education with a few extracurricular classes such as music, cooking, and volunteer work. Serenity, however, wasn't really found but was left in front of the orphanage when she was just a baby. The girl wasn't there first case of a drop-off child, but she wasn't what they were expecting as she grew older. The sisters all loved her dearly but found it a shame that she could never properly fit in because she was a bit different compared to the other kids.

As Serenity entered the building, Sister Marie spotted her and gave a smile.

"Ah! Serenity, please come. I do believe you have a visitor right now. You'll see him in your room."

Serenity was a little taken aback as she shyly walked over to her room. The sisters would never have allowed a stranger to enter the rooms unless they were of esteem importance or was a potential parent. Her brown, wavy hair came around her face as she quickly glanced into her room to find an old man there. He had a long grey, almost silver beard and wore strange clothes but something about his blue eyes said that he was nice. She relaxed a little as she gave him a little bow of her head when she entered.

" Ah, Serenity Alice Aragon! A pleasure to meet you. My name is Albus Dumbledore. Please take a seat, I just want to have a little chat with you." He gestures to the bed as he sat on the stool. She walks over and takes a seat down on her shabby little bed, placing her sketchbook next to her. She looked a little nervous as she saw him hand her an envelope with a strange H, wax insignia. She opens it up to read:

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Headmaster Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, Internationl Confed. of Wizards).

Dumbledore's POV

She looks so young...She looks so much like her parents...

Dumbledore gazed at the young little girl as she shifted nervously. He gave a soft chuckle as he remembered that she's still just eleven as he sees her eyes grow while reading the letter. As the girl took her time reading, he studied her, noticing each little move she made. He remembered the letter he was reading about her from the headmistress of the orphanage. Though the girl was young, the nuns would say she was 'wise for her age.' He assumed it was her hidden ability which he would find out soon if she had them or not. Her tiny little head bobbed up to look at him straight in the eyes as she asked him,

"...a witch?...I'm a witch?" She says as she looks at him almost bewildered. He smiled and nod at her, knowing that this must be strange for her. The girl's bewilderment slowly changes to questioning look.

"How can I be a witch? I don't have warts and cackle…I think."

Dumbledore chuckled as he sees the confusion, remembering she was raised in a simple Orphanage raised my nuns, so of course her perspective of witches would be bad.

"No my dear…Being a which doesn't mean that but more that you have magic powers, potential as I would say, that most humans do not have. You must have had strange cases that you've done something without meaning to?"

She nodded slowly to him.

"I've made a few things disappear like foods I don't like…I also have made plants grown on their own…"

"You see child…Those are all gifts and signs that you are indeed a witch."

For a long time they sat silently as he saw the girl reread the letter, noticing a change. Her face was no longer confused but more had acceptance as she looked back at him with a smile.

"Alright…I accept. I accept!" She said in her ever soft voice. Her voice was quite soft for a girl her age, but almost melodical at the same time. As she got excited Albus still had to ask her something.

I must find out...

"Ah my dear girl, I'm glad to see your enthusiasm...But I must ask you if I can see that notebook of yours." Serenity nodded yes as she handed him her sketchbook as she continued to read her letter.

His eyes open wide as he looked at the drawings within each page. They were in amazing detail and quite good for someone of her age. He looked through them until he found what he was looking for. It was an image of a young baby with a lighting bolt on it's forehead. The next of three friends working on a school assignment. The rest were about Hogwarts, but not in full images but bits and pieces. He smiled while handed it back to her, until he felt their fingers touch. The girl flinched back and froze.

"Serenity? Are you alright my dear?" He asks until something about her was different.

She got up and walks right in front of him as she says in a mesmerising, but dark tone. The air around her changed in almost a dark manner while her eyes…They were dilated but the green hues in her eyes were almost moving, swirling like a green water pool as she stared at him and said,

"...He is coming back...The first time he and the boy will meet at it will seem as if he is defeated again but no...He shall appear in more than one life. There will be one life that will be the one to your end.."

Albus was speechless as the girl slowly fainted, but he caught her in his arms and placed her in her bed. He was right about her and soon her fate will cross with those that will seek what she really is. He took a glance back at her before picking up her sketchbook, looking through the images as he furrowed his brow, in deep thought.

After some time, Serenity woke up from her bed with her eyes slightly fuzzy as she tried to focus her sight. She turned her head to see Albus Dumbledore, looking through her sketchbook again.

"Mmm...What happened?" She groans as she slowly sits up and stretches her arms.

"I'm afraid to say that you, my dear...had a vision." Dumbledore didn't look up at her, just leafing through the pages at each drawing.

"...a vision? What do you mean sir?"

He closed the book as he shifted his seat to look straight at her. He gently takes her hand but his smile was gone from earlier.

"You are not only a witch Serenity, but a very rare one. You are also part Seer, a rare gift of seeing the future. Your strong mind and gift makes your visions quite vivid."

"What on earth do you mean though? I know I say a few strange things but wa-"

He holds his hand up to a picture of a young boy, about her age, with a thunderbolt on his forehead. She looks at him with a bewildered look.

"What does my drawing have anything to do with me being a...a-"

"A Seer miss Aragon, a seer. This boy who have drawn, quite amazing in detail, is real. You have never met him before but when you go to Hogwarts, you see him in your year...You see Serenity, your gift is so natural to you that you get these glimpses, and you draw them down on your little notebook."

Also quite powerful for a girl her age that she doesn't even know it...If used to the full extent and in the wrong hands I fear that...No, she will be at Hogwarts and I can watch over her and Harry...

"...Does that make me strange sir?"

He turns his head to look at her with sad eyes, almost a tear appearing in one.

"Why no my dear, not at all but I must warn you...You must keep your gift a secret, not that it's bad but some may want to use it for less than honorable purposes..." He gives a smile as he pats her hand.

Serenity's POV

She gazed up at him to see his smile return. She quickly wipes away the tear and gives a small little nod. After the discussion Dumbledore said that a man will come later on to take her out shopping for school supplies. She had asked how to pay but it seems that her deceased parents left her quite a fortune, and it will easily cover up what she needed. Before he left through her door he said to her,

"...Do not worry about your gift...As you grow up I will tell you more about it but for now...I hope you enjoy your first year." He gave a smile as the twinkle in his eyes return. He gave a small chuckle to see the girl nod in enthusiasm as he left.

Serenity was always a little strange in the orphanage. She had made things float in the air, make them disappear, and always had a feeling as if she was different. That's why the nuns never really let parents see her, worried that they might send her back though she was a lovely girl. So when she received her letter things just clicked in her head, making her feel as if she's finally going to belong somewhere.

Serenity waited until she heard the headmaster had completely left before going back into her little room. She laid back on her bed as she looked up to her ceiling and gave a little smile.

A new place with those like me...A place that might just accept me...

She drifted off into a deep slumber as she dreams of what her new school will be like.
