Apollo Holmes: Yep, it was personal. You'll find out why.
Conner, Kira and Ethan walked into the cybercafe to see Trent slipping back into his role and Hayley watching happily from behind the counter.
"Someone seems a little happy today," Ethan commented, as he and the others sat at the counter.
"Oh, hey," Hayley greeted, jotting something down in her notepad. "It's so good to have Trent back."
"Yeah," Conner agreed. "And with the new attitude adjustment, he's almost likeable."
"I heard that," Trent told Conner, lightly hitting the red ranger in the side while walking past him.
Trent stopped near Kira and tried not to meet her gaze.
"Two more Cyber-berry Blasts, please?" he asked Hayley.
"So how's it going?" Conner asked, leaning over the counter to look past Kira and Ethan.
"Fantastic," Trent answered, smiling. "I feel like a new man."
"We're just glad the old man is back," Kira told him as Ethan nodded in agreement. Almost back, she said in her head as an afterthought. "You're one of us now. No more secrets."
Trent turned away from her and faintly repeated her words, "no more secrets," remembering the promise he made to his father. Kira's eyes lingered on him a bit longer than necessary before she sighed and turned away. It looked like Trent had moved on from her and it was high time she moved on from him... especially since she had a boyfriend now.
"Hey babe, do you wanna go watch a movie later?" Conner questioned, smiling at his girlfriend of two days.
Kira shot him an irritated look. "I told you not to call me that. Just because we're dating now, doesn't mean my name's changed!"
"Whoops, sorry!" the red ranger replied, peeking over his sports magazine to look at the vexed purple ranger. She eyed him disdainfully, appalled that his science project sheet was still blank.
She calmed down and asked, "What's the movie about?"
"Soccer," Conner responded making Kira sigh.
"Oh, another time," she said, rejecting his offer and getting back to her homework. "Soccer's not my thing."
"I know," the red ranger answered, racking his brains for something else.
Ever since Kira put Conner in his place shortly after they found out Trent was the white ranger, he started seeing her differently. There was a certain fire in her that he liked. He liked feisty girls. If it wasn't for the whole Trent drama, he would've asked her out sooner. And then came the day - the day Trent returned to the good side - when he found her crying over something. She wouldn't say exactly what happened but it seemed as if she was finally over Trent. Well, that's what she had said anyway. I've just realised I've been wasting my time with Trent. He hadn't asked her out straight away but after about a week, he decided it was time. And she accepted.
Now that she was finally his girl, he was determined to keep her happy.
Meanwhile, Ethan made a face and rolled his eyes. Conner and Kira were just bad for each other. Everyone was being really stupid lately. Trent avoided Kira whenever he got a chance, Kira was unintentionally leading Conner on and said boyfriend just didn't realise how his girlfriend really felt. He wished Kim and Tommy were here to bear this with him but alas, they were on a date. He needed to find himself a girlfriend fast, seeing as everyone else had.
Luckily for him, Trent arrived at their table to collect their empty smoothie glasses.
"Let's go," Ethan insisted, desperate to get away from the awkward Kira-Conner atmosphere. "That report ain't going to write itself."
"I'll catch up with you at the library," Trent responded, fist bumping Ethan and managing to muster up a smile for Kira who was peering up at him. He guessed he couldn't ignore her forever, especially since they were on the same crime fighting team.
Kira smiled back at Trent as he walked away before Conner stood up, still procrastinating.
"What's his deal?" he asked. Ethan and Kira stood up as well to see what he was looking at. An exchange student who was currently being hounded by none other than their resident blonde wannabe reporter.
"Alexi Poporof," Cassidy started, looping her arm through Alexi's while Devin whipped up a camera out of nowhere, startling the poor boy in the process. "Exchange student, soccer genius. So, what do you think of the soccer team here at Reefside? And do you think we have shot at the Super Bowl?"
"Uhh, Cass, they don't have Super Bowl," Devin pointed out sheepishly. "It's called the World Cup."
"Cup, bowl, whatever!" Cassidy snapped, before turning back to Alexi. "So, what do you think of the team?"
"No, I'm sorry, I can't speak with you now," Alexi answered somewhat shakily before practically sprinting off.
"Okay, what's with that?" Cassidy asked Devin.
"She's never cared about soccer before," Conner said, watching Alexi leave. "At least, she's never wanted to interview me."
"Someone's looking a little more green than red," Ethan told Kira who grinned.
"I'm not jealous," Conner protested, smirking. "It's just…if he's that good, he should be on our club team. I'm going to go see if he's joined up with anyone."
"Jealous," Ethan observed as his friend ran off.
"So jealous," Kira agreed, letting out a laugh.
Conner, Kira and Ethan were walking around after hanging out at the cybercafe.
"Don't you think it was rude?" Conner asked. "I mean, he doesn't even think about it. He just walks away."
"I'm sure he's got a good reason," Kira reassured him. "Why don't you just ask him again?"
"Look, I'd love to stay and hash this out with you guys but if I don't get to the library soon, I'm totally going to fail this project," Ethan stated, hitting Conner around the arm and started to walk away.
"Then prepare to fail, Blue Ranger," Zeltrax told him making Ethan run back to Conner's side.
"I know I should have gone straight there," Ethan muttered.
Zeltrax raised his hand and snapped his fingers together before two blurs appeared, slashing at the three rangers and knocking them to the ground.
"Good work," he praised.
The three rangers looked up to see a new monster and a white ranger standing over them.
"Didn't even break a sweat," the white ranger said.
"Trent?" Kira asked, confusion lacing her tone.
"This can't be real," Ethan said, his head almost exploding due to the never ending drama.
"Oh it's real," Zeltrax informed.
The trio stood up from the ground, staring at the white ranger in shock.
"What are you going, Trent?" Conner asked.
"I don't know any Trent," the white ranger answered. "All I know is that you'll soon be destroyed."
"Conner, I don't think that's Trent," Kira spoke up.
"Don't even go there Kira," Conner warned.
"We just saw him in the cybercafe, Conner," Kira pointed out, unable to believe that Conner was so quick to judge Trent again. "In case you've forgotten."
"I'm so over this," Conner spat, ignoring Kira. "Ready?"
"Ready."
"Dino Thunder! Power up! Ha! Dino Power!"
"Wait," Zeltrax told his inferiors, sticking his arm out and stepping in front of them. "Allow me."
He charged at them as White and the monster looked at each other.
"Let's get a better view," White suggested.
"Right," it agreed before they leapt onto some stairs of the building they were next to.
"Fire!" Conner said as he fired his thundermax blaster at Zeltrax.
Zeltrax block the shots with his shield before blasting Conner with blue lighting, knocking him to the ground. Kira and Ethan ran over to stand in front of him, shooting at Zeltrax in unison. The shots bounced off Zeltrax as he hopped into the air to attack them. Conner scrambled to his feet as Kira and Ethan were knocked to the side before he and Zeltrax fought one-on-one. Zeltrax hit Conner in the chest with his sword, making him stumble back.
"Touchy," Conner observed.
The two of them started to fight again before Zeltrax grabbed Conner under the arm and threw him over his shoulder. Conner hit the ground so his team regrouped around him.
"Conner!" Ethan called.
"You okay?" Kira asked.
"Yup," Conner answered as he stood up.
However, all three of them were blasted back to the ground by Zeltrax. Conner's thundermax blaster fell out of his reach.
"Now you're mine," Zeltrax told Conner before he started running towards him.
"Conner!" Ethan shouted.
"Catch!" Kira yelled.
The pair of them threw Conner their blasters.
"Got it!" Conner said as he caught them and jumped through the air towards Zeltrax. "Double trouble!"
Conner shoots Zeltrax with both blasters, sending Zeltrax flying backwards through the air. The evil white ranger and Terrorsaurus leapt down to stand in front of him. Kira and Ethan ran up behind Conner who pointed both blasters at the evil white ranger.
"So you stopped Zeltrax," the white ranger commented. "Try to stop my terrorsaurus."
The rangers slowly inched away as Terrorsaurus approached them.
"Let me show you the extent of my powers," it said. "You will be defeated."
"Not on my watch!" Trent's voice boomed as the terrorsaurus and evil white ranger were blasted out of the way to reveal Trent riding up on his ATV. Kim and Tommy followed on their own vehicles.
"Trent!" Kira called out in relief.
"Hey, guys," Trent greeted, getting off his dino ATV. "Thought I'd join the fun."
"Sorry we're late," Kim told the others as she and Tommy dismounted. "We saw what happened from the computer screen and thought we'd get Trent first."
"Wait," Ethan said as he looked back and forth. "Who's who?"
"Guys it's me," Trent stated.
"Enjoy your reunion while you can," the evil white ranger said. "Nothing you do can stop us now."
The evil trio disappeared.
"Okay, power down," Trent commanded, all six rangers powering down before the other five huddled around him. "You guys okay?"
"Great," Conner answered shortly. "You got a twin brother you never told us about?"
All seven rangers were gathered in the lab as Michael ran scans on the new evil white ranger.
"Okay, so we barely get one white ranger under control and then another one shows up," Kira stated as she paced past Trent. "Any idea who they could be?"
"I have no clue," Trent answered.
"My sensors show some kind of cloned energy force," Michael told them as he turned around.
"Oh wow, this brings back so many memories," Tommy commented, exchanging a look with Kim.
"You mean Tom?" Kim asked, remembering her boyfriend's clone.
"But Tom was a person; more like a twin than a clone. The white ranger probably isn't even a living being at all," Michael interjected.
"Yeah, he may not be alive but his kicks sure felt real," Conner retorted.
"I never said he wasn't real," Mike told his son. "He's a threat alright."
"Well, now that that's settled what's with that terrorsaurus?" Ethan asked. "Man, he was raggedy."
"He's giving of some of the same readings as the other white ranger," Michael answered. "It's almost like they were one and the same."
"I knew it," Conner spat, striding towards Trent. "You should never have been here in the first place."
Kira moved to stand in front of Trent protectively while the white ranger stood up. Michael, Ethan and Tommy ran after Conner, stopping him before he met his girlfriend's fist.
"Not now, Conner," Michael chided, as he placed a hand on Conner's shoulder. "We're gonna need back-up, big time. Trent, come with me." He walked over to him. "Let's go."
"Why not me?" Conner argued like a jealous child. "Or one of the others?"
"You'll have your role to play in this Conner," Michael answered as he looked back at his son. "Trust me. Right now, I need Trent. Keep an eye on the city and call us if that thing returns." Michael looked at Trent again. "Come on."
Conner ran up to Kira, Ethan, Tommy and Kim.
"What's up?" he asked as he looked at the screen.
"Our problem just got a lot bigger," Kira answered as the creature from before appeared on the screen.
"He's the woods outside the town," Ethan informed them after locking onto a location.
"So what are we waiting for?" Conner implored.
"Our orders, remember?" Kira reminded him. "Dr M said to call him and Trent if that guy showed up again."
"You really should call him Michael now. He is your boyfriend's dad," Conner pointed out, earning a glare from his girlfriend.
"As long as I'm still in school, he's Dr M," Kira fired back.
"When is this gonna end?" Ethan asked Tommy and Kim quietly.
"Soon, I hope," Kim answered, the teen couple still arguing.
"Before someone gets really hurt," Tommy added, remembering the unnecessary drama he went through with his best friend and ex-girlfriend. Looking at Trent, Kira and Conner was like looking into the past.
"We can handle this," Conner spoke up, getting back on topic. Ethan, Kim and Tommy sighed in relief. "Come on. There are five of us. We can take him on."
"Fine," Kim relented. "But the minute I feel like things are getting ugly, I'm calling Mike."
"Sure," Conner agreed.
"Let's do it," Ethan concurred. "We'll call the zords from here."
"Ready?"
"Ready!"
"Dino Thunder! Power up! Ha!"
"He already took your zords, I think you should wait here," Tommy told the teenagers who weren't very happy about his decision but agreed nonetheless.
"Yeah..." Kim trailed off, her eyes trained on Conner in particular.
"You're looking at me, aren't you?" Conner deduced, even though their visors didn't allow them to see each other's eyes.
"Yup, behave," Kim ordered, before looking at Tommy and nodding. "Aardon!"
"Quetzal!"
The teens watched as Kim and Tommy formed their megazord and engaged in a gruelling battle with Terrorsaurus.
"Thanks, Dr M, for trusting me," Trent thanked his science teacher as they trudged through a shallow river. "It means a lot."
"I do trust you, Trent," Michael assured him as they reached the other side of the river bank. "But I meant what I said in the lab. This mission had to be yours."
"Why?" Trent enquired.
"There's an ancient artefact that was hidden out here centuries ago," Michael answered as they continued to walk. "I've known its whereabouts for a while but only one power can retrieve it."
"Mine?" Trent asked, stopping in his tracks because he was sort of surprised.
"Yes," Michael answered as he too stopped walking and turned to face the teen. "Using your chameleon power, you should be able to retrieve the artefact from its hiding place. But I'm warning you, it won't be easy."
"I'm ready," he told him.
"Good," Michael said with a nod. "Let's go."
They resumed walking and it wasn't long before they came upon a waterfall.
"Is this it?" Trent asked.
"Yup," Michael answered. "It's there in the water." The two came to a stop on the shore line of the waterfall. "Okay. Raise your arms like this." The two of them raised their left arms up, bent at the elbow, fists clenched, with their dino gems facing outwards. "Now concentrate! Use the dino gem power."
Trent nodded before they closed their eyes and focused. Both gems lit up before energy from the two shot into the water.
"There it is," Michael stated as Trent opened his eyes and gasped in shock at the sight of the glowing Shield of Triumph which was hovering in the air.
"It's working," Trent said.
"Don't break the concentration," Michael urged. "Stay focused."
"Right, so that failed," Kim groaned, grabbing her sides as she grovelled on the ground. Tommy helped her up, barely standing up himself.
"Yep, he's got our zords too," Tommy told her.
"Ugh! I'm getting a weird feeling," Conner breathed, his hand flying to his helmet. Tommy and Kim looked over at him, as did the others. "Something's calling me." In his head he saw a dark ranger holding some sort of shield. "Whoa."
"Conner?" Kira called, placing a hand on his arm. "You okay?"
"I think so," Conner answered hesitantly.
"Yeah, I don't really know how I feel about this," Tommy said, referring to Terrorsaurus who shrank down to their size and landed right in front of them.
"Your heads too big for your helmets?" the creature taunted.
"What have you done with our zords?" Conner demanded as he walked forward.
"You should be more worried about what I'm going to do to you," the creature replied. "Your zords belong to me now." The rangers heard their zords' cries as the monster got ready to fight. "Prepare for your demise."
Terrorsaurus spread his wings and started to fly towards the rangers.
"In your dreams!" Conner yelled as all five of them fired their blasters at it. To their surprise, their attack did nothing against it and it was still on course to hit them. "Watch out!"
The rangers fell to the ground as Terrorsaurus tackled them.
"Heads up!" Ethan yelled as it came back at them, grabbing him in the process. "Let me go!"
"Have it your way!" it cackled before dropping Ethan into the water.
"Ethan!" Conner called as he and the others went to help him.
"Nasty," Kira screeched.
"Why did he pick this mud bath?" Kim complained.
"What is up with this guy?" the red ranger asked.
"You are powerless against me," it cackled once it landed on the ground.
Conner turned his head to look at the other four rangers.
"Let's try our sabres," he suggested. They nodded.
"Yeah."
"Thundermax sabre power up!" Ethan yelled as all five rangers pulled them out and charged at the monster.
"Show me what you got!"
Just as the rangers ran up to Terrorsaurus to slash him, he disappeared, resulting in the five rangers hitting each other.
"Oh man," Trent groaned.
"Keep on going Trent," Michael encouraged him. "We've almost got it."
"I'm trying Dr M," Trent ground out. "I'm...losing...control."
It didn't take Terrorsaurus long to have all five rangers on the ground again.
"Maybe we should have waited for Dad," Conner conceded.
"You think?" Ethan asked him as they struggled to get up.
"Slightly," Kira answered sarcastically.
"Man, that's enough," Tommy told the teens before they could start arguing.
"Prepare to be destroyed," Terrorsaurus told them as it started to walk up to them while they continued to struggle. "Fire!" The rangers cried out as they were blasted off the edge of a cliff, falling into the lake below it. "You're all washed up. Time to destroy your city."
Terrorsaurus flew into the air, leaving the rangers soaked and annoyed.
"That was a great idea Conner," Kira jibed, as she and the boys waded out of the water.
"Yeah," Ethan agreed as they made it to the shore. "Got any more brill-"
"I think I should call-"
"Wait," Conner interjected, cutting off both Kim and Ethan. "It's happening again." He once again placed his hand on his head as he got that same vision. "Something...Something isn't right."
"What do you mean?" Kira asked impatiently.
"I can't explain it," Conner answered. "I just know Trent and Dad need me."
He took off to find the black and white rangers.
Trent groaned as he tried to stay on his feet.
"I can't hold on much longer."
"Don't let go," Michael instructed. "If we lose it now then it's gone forever."
"Gotta...stay...focused."
The two of them tried to keep it up but Trent slipped a bit.
"Trent," Michael called out.
"It's...it's slipping," Trent told him, struggling to stay standing. "I can't."
Much to Trent's relief, Conner jumped in, grabbed the shield, somersaulted through the air and landed in front of Trent and Michael. Michael caught Trent before he fell to the ground.
"How's that for timing?" Conner asked, holding up the shield.
"Never better," Trent responded, exhaustion sullying his tone. "Thanks."
"You got the shield's telepathic message," Michael stated. "It proves I was right. It proves that you're ready."
"Ready for what?" Conner asked.
"The Shield of Triumph," Michael answered. "Only a ranger in complete sync with the universal dino energy can handle its power."
"But when you took Trent, I thought..."
"For the shield to assume full power, all rangers must contribute a part of themselves," Michael explained. "Trent has completed his part. Now it's up to the rest of us."
"Tell me what I have to do. Cause the terrorsaurus is back and we can use all the help we can get."
Just then, Trent knees gave away and he slipped out of Michael's grasp.
"Trent," Conner called, as he lunged forward to grab his arm.
"I have to get Trent back to the lab," Michael told the red ranger. "I'll make my contribution to the shield and get it to you as soon as I can." Conner handed the shield over to his father. "You think you could hold off the monster a little longer?"
"I won't let you down," Conner responded before he left.
"The plan is working perfectly," Terrorsaurus said to no one but himself.
"Hey!" Conner shouted as he and the others ran up to the villain to find their zords, sealed inside bubbles, floating in the air.
"Charge!" the teens hollered as they pulled out their sabres, focusing on Terrorsaurus again.
Just as they moved to run forward, the creature moved more quickly and knocked them to the ground again in different directions. However, they were quick to regroup.
"Guys, pull it together," Conner ordered.
"Terrorsaurus laser!"
The five rangers were sent into the air and over the edge of the bridge by what looked like lighting. However, instead of landing on their backs on the ground, they had landed on their feet.
"Tyranno Staff!"
The others watched as Conner went in for an attack only to be floored.
"Tricera..." Ethan started to call out as he jumped at Terrorsaurus who dodged him, making him hit a tree.
"Finished?" it asked as it turned to Kira.
"Not even close," Kira answered, as she drew out her whip and unsuccessfully attacked. "Whoa!"
"That tickled," it stated as Kira kissed brick.
"You alright?" Conner asked as he and Ethan rejoined the girl.
"Yeah," Kira answered as she got to her knees.
"Don't forget me!" Kim chirped, running up to the monster. "Aardon bow!"
She shot at him but failed like the others. Terrorsaurus looked at Tommy expectantly. Tommy just shrugged, helping his girlfriend up but not making a move. There was no point. He didn't have any special powers and he could tell that it wasn't going to take a lot more to defeat the monster.
"How about an encore?" Terrorsaurus asked as he once again fired at them and sent them to the ground. "First I took your zords. And now I'll destroy you!"
"Come on Conner!" Ethan groaned. "Pull it together!"
"I'm not going to take it," Conner stated as all five rangers got up. "Attack!" Conner went back into the fight with the others right behind him as well but the red ranger was sent flying again and joined the others on the ground.
"Kim, Tommy, I need you guys back at the lab now!" Michael told the pair over the com-link.
"You guys will be okay... right?" Tommy asked the teens as he and Kim stood up. The three of them nodded before Kim and Tommy left.
"I think it's time for super dino mode!" Conner suggested.
The trio went into the mode as the terrorsaurus just watched them.
"It won't matter," Terrorsaurus claimed arrogantly.
"Wouldn't bet on it," the red ranger stated before they ran forward. "Charge!"
"Fire!" Terrorsaurus stated as it fired lasers from its eyes just as the three rangers leapt into the air.
The lasers just sent the rangers back to the ground again.
"What's his deal?" Conner asked as he looked at the creature.
"Power rangers, let me be the first to tell you," Terrorsaurus started to say. "You're doomed."
"We're not done yet," Conner told the creature as he stood up while the others regrouped around him.
"Oh no?" Terrorsaurus asked.
Michael was contributing to the shield after the two rangers got back to the lab while Trent rested on the steps. Michael continued to put his energy into the Shield of Triumph before he stopped, slumping against the floor.
"Dr. M!" Trent shouted, hopping off the stairs and going over to his mentor.
"I'm fine," Michael stated. "Just a little drained."
"Believe me," Trent said. "I know how you feel."
"It'll be worse for the others," Michael stated. "I hope they're up for it."
"Mike, what happened?" Kim asked in a panicked voice as she and Tommy descended down the stairs hastily.
"I just contributed my powers to the Shield of Triumph! You'll have to do the same," Michael informed them.
"So is this a permanent thing?" Tommy asked.
"No. You have to give the shield your power but only temporarily."
Kim and Tommy both nodded. "Let's do it!"
"Conner!" Kira called out as her boyfriend was tied up with energy and brought face to face with the terrorsaurus.
"I've got you now Red Ranger," Terrorsaurus taunted, grabbing him and then hurling him onto a building. He bounced off the building and landed on the floor.
"Conner!" Ethan and Kira called out as they ran to his side.
"Are you alright?" Kira asked.
"You will learn respect my little pets," Terrorsaurus told them as he walked forward.
"Pets!" Kim shrieked indignantly.
Terrorsaurus was attacked by a flurry of wind, leaves and twigs.
"Not so fast, vile reptile!" Michael threatened, joining the teens.
"Lasers!" The terrorsaurus shot at them only for Michael to block it with the shield.
"Not this time," he bellowed, pushing the energy back at Terrorsaurus, knocking him to the ground.
The teens ran forward when Michael fell to his knees.
"Dr M!" Kira screamed, grabbing his arm.
"Conner, you know what to do," Michael informed him as he held out the shield.
"Okay," Conner confirmed, taking the shield from Michael, "Kira, Ethan." The teen rangers moved forward to face Terrorsaurus. "I need your total trust. I need your dino powers." Kira looked at her hand. "Do you trust me?"
"I do," she answered, looking back up at her boyfriend.
"I always did," Ethan stated.
"You won't be sorry," Conner told them as Kira and Ethan held their hands above and under the dino thunder symbol which glowed gold before they sent blue and purple energy into the shield. "Triassic power engage!"
They all watched as the shield activated and Conner's ranger suit got a new upgrade, gaining purple and blue accents. The other two fell to their knees and demorphed before standing up and watching Conner take out the terrorsaurus with the new upgrade.
It wasn't long till Michael walked back into the house with the other three rangers right behind him.
"That shield rocks," Conner said as they walked down the stairs.
"No doubt," Kira agreed.
"Thanks for trusting me with your powers, guys," Conner said.
They reach the bottom of the stairs and walk into the lab.
"It's only a loan, don't forget that," Ethan pointed out. "Anything to help get our zords back."
"I just wish you could have felt what it was like," Conner told them as he looked as his friends. "The power is amazing."
"The triassic power was always meant for you, Conner," Michael told him making all of them look over. "All you had to do was trust in yourself. Then it was easy for others to trust in you too."
"See?" Ethan asked. "All that jealousy and look how great everything worked out."
"Almost everything," Conner told him before leaving again.
Conner dragged Kira over to the park, happy that she agreed to come and watch him play. He was in his kit and suddenly started to run when he saw a football rolling towards him. Kira took his time in catching up as Conner picked the ball up.
He tossed it to Alexi who caught it.
"Thanks," the boy said in a thick accent.
"So, how are ya?" Conner asked, crossing his arms.
"I'm good. Uhh, you are Conner right?"
"Yeah," Conner replied with a huge grin. "Look, I just wanted to say-"
"Conner, I wanted to say-"
"You first," Conner offered.
"No, you," Alexi insisted.
"Look, I just wanna say I'm sorry... about getting all up in your face back at the cybercafe," he started. "I mean my friends are always telling me to shut up and-"
"Please stop," Alexi interrupted.
"Yeah, just like that," Conner admitted with a sheepish smile.
"No, no, it's me. Uhh, my english... it's not very good. I just don't think that you will understand me," Alexi explained.
"So that's why you didn't want to talk before..."
"I am how you say... nervous about my english,"
"Dude, your english is great!" Conner praised, making Alexi smile. "Look, let's forget about the whole thing and start over. Deal?"
"Yeah," Alexi agreed.
Conner smiled and turned to see Kira. He held out his hand and she took it, letting him pull her over to his side.
"Alexi, this is my girlfriend Kira. Kira, this is Alexi," Conner introduced the two.
"Nice to meet you," Kira told Alexi, shaking hands with him.
"Nice to meet you too."
"She told me you'd have a good reason for not wanting to talk to me," Conner told Alexi, hugging her sideways. "You go ahead. I'm coming."
Alexi nodded and ran off, leaving Kira and Conner alone.
"What?" Kira asked as Conner stared at her. He responded by kissing her while she almost fell backwards from shock.
After two days of dating, this was their first kiss and she hated to admit it... but she felt nothing. Kira kissed him back, tiptoeing because of the big height difference, but there were no sparks. At least there weren't any for her.
Conner broke the kiss off, not realising that she wasn't into it at all. He winked at her and ran off to participate in a match with Alexi and the other boys. As Kira sat down a nearby bench and watched Conner play, all she could think about was that one teary kiss from so long ago that still haunted her now. Because however sad she was that time, she had felt sparks. A shed load of them.
A/N: What do you think guys?
