A/N: I have 234 reviews although, for some reason, it doesn't count one of them.
sabina21 & brankel1: Thanks!
ICrzy: Many thanks. IRL, the secret would've been exposed ages ago. But I must stick to the storyline.
Evangella Akriti: Yeah, don't worry, DTANB is my top priority as a fanfic. I even sacrificed my other in progress story to work on this one and, as a result, I ended up not updating it last week. Oh well. Life.
hewhoreaps: Thanks. Keep reviewing.
Apollo Holmes: IKR, who does he think he's kidding?
"Great!" Ethan's exclaimed sarcastically, making his friends all look up at him. Kira, who was sitting next to him on the bench, continued to play a soft melody on her guitar. "I was just about to defeat the dreaded Maxidrone when his evil ship comes along and destroys all that I've done," Ethan explained, looking heartbroken. "Can you believe it?"
"It's just a game Ethan," Kira muttered, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, you're acting as if it's real," Trent agreed, looking up from his drawing.
"What if it is real?" Kira and Trent exchanged amused looks, as if they were a pair of parents dismissing their child's silly questions. "What if this game is an ancient diary, telling me about a real event that happened in a distant galaxy far far away," Ethan mused happily as Trent shook his head and returned to his drawing.
"Ethan, your mind is the only thing that is far far away," Kira told him. Trent smirked and made an 'ooh' sound before a ball rolled up to Ethan who stopped it with his foot.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Conner asked.
"Well Ethan's giving us a history lesson on something that he learned on his handheld geekboy," Kira answered with a smirk.
"Alright... you're right... it's not ancient galactic history," Ethan relented.
"Finally..." Kira whispered, smiling.
"But!" Ethan looked up, grinning again. "It could be the future."
"Remember, it's just a game," Conner reminded him.
Just then, they heard a loud noise and looked up to see a massive ship fly over the school. It shot off into the distance as several students ran around in panic. The other rangers looked at Conner.
"Let's go check it out," he insisted before they all got up to go find out what was going on.
"Okay, next time you predict the future, could you at least make me a popstar?" Kira requested.
"I didn't know it was going to come true," Ethan defended, unable to contain his excitement.
"We gotta find Doctor M," Trent told them before another voice spoke.
"Well, you found me instead," Zeltrax boomed from above.
"At least it's a familiar face..." Conner commented as the others groaned.
"Rangers, we fight again," Zeltrax stated gruffly before a beam of light engulfed him and his tyrannodrones, transporting them to the ship from before which was now overhead.
"Now that's something you don't see everyday," Conner told the others before they decided to leave the site.
"Wonder what they wanted with Zeltrax..." Trent pondered aloud.
"Does it really matter?" Kira shrugged. "Hopefully they'll take him into space and sell him for scrap metal." This made the others laugh.
"It's good; Zeltrax is gone and so are they," Ethan stated joyfully.
"Yeah... but they aren't," Conner said. Everyone looked ahead to see a strange ship with SPD written on the side. The doors opened to reveal three people in uniforms who stepped out and began walking towards the rangers.
"Conner and Ethan, nice to see you guys again," the one in red greeted, making the dino rangers frown. "You must be Kira and Trent." He pointed to the purple and white rangers who exchanged looks of confusion.
"Okay, let me get this straight," Ethan spoke up once the three strangers had explained what was going on. "You guys are from the future? And you're power rangers..."
"And you're chasing down an Emperor named Grumm, who's trying to conquer the future Earth," Kira continued.
"And Grumm came to the past to defeat the Earth now, so then he'll have already conquered it..." Conner added.
"And you know Conner and Ethan cause they were brought to the future and helped you out," Trent summed up.
"Okay, let's go out on a limb and say that you're telling the truth," Conner started, distrust in his voice. "Why don't we remember any of this?"
"Oh!" Bridge, the guy in green, exclaimed, raising his hand in excitement. "I know." He then put his hand down, still beaming. "We erased your memory because knowledge of the future would have a detrimental effect on it, causing it not to happen in the random manner that it's supposed to happen without you interacting with it," he explained quickly. The rangers stared at him dumbly, narrowing their eyes.
"What did he say?" Kira asked, frowning as she didn't understand.
"We were hoping you could tell us, we've given up trying," the girl in yellow, Z, told them, making her teammate in red chuckle.
"You of all people should know," he teased. Z's face grew red and now Bridge looked confused.
"Why don't you shut up, Jack?" she bit back, going to punch him when Bridge held her back.
"Inside joke?" Kira asked Trent who nodded in agreement. Just then, something beeped.
Jack took his morpher out and looked at it. Bridge stepped closer to catch a glimpse.
"Krybots; I've got three separate readings! We gotta split up, you guys stay here, this is our fight," he ordered.
"Excuse me, not anymore!" Kira protested. "Your Grumm has teamed up with our mortal enemy Zeltrax."
"That's right!" Conner concurred with a nod. "Your fight, is now our fight!" The rest of his team nodded.
"Hey guys, wait up!" Jack called as he and Bridge caught up to Z who was with the dino rangers.
"Any luck?" Conner asked.
"Just ran into a couple of krybots; we took care of them," Bridge shrugged as Jack nodded. "You?"
"No, nothing," Z answered, shaking her head in frustration. "Which doesn't make any sense because the Troobian energy around here is off the chart."
As if on cue, Zeltrax was suddenly thrown to the ground by a blast, crying out in pain. He recovered and blasted at Michael who leapt into the air.
"The black ranger!" Bridge stated, staring at Michael who was already morphed.
"Time to take it to the next level!" Michael told Zeltrax before charging at him.
"Their rivalry is still going strong!" Kim quipped as she joined her teammates, already morphed.
"Woah, girl power!" Z exclaimed upon seeing her.
"Uh, guys, I think we've got some more company!" Jack spoke up, looking past Bridge to see a hoard of tyrannodrones, krybots, blueheads and orangeheads.
"Okay, what are those?" Bridge asked, referring to the dinosaur like creatures.
"Tyrannodrones," Conner responded with a frown.
"Well, let's look on the bright side... It couldn't get any worse..." Z trailed off just as three monsters landed nearby.
"Guys, I think it just got worse..." Jack pointed out as a large number of robots and monsters surrounded them. Tommy Oliver suddenly landed near them, already morphed. Michael and Zeltrax continued to fight nearby, ignoring everyone around them.
"Better late than never. You guys ready?" Tommy questioned.
"The green ranger... I've read all about you," Jack commented. Michael joined the other rangers, having hurled Zeltrax towards the hoard.
"Time to go to work!" he yelled as Zeltrax recovered with a growl.
"Prepare to be defeated!" he bragged.
"Let's go!"
"You don't stand a chance."
"Ready?" Jack asked.
"Ready!" Bridge and Z confirmed.
The SPD rangers drew their morphers. "SPD, emergency! Space Patrol Delta!"
"Not bad," Conner observed, viewing their suits. "Check this out. Ready?"
"Ready!"
"Dino Thunder, power up! Hah!"
"White Ranger, dino power!"
"Okay, give it all you've got!" Jack commanded.
"Attack!" Zeltrax ordered.
The two sides charged at each other and went straight into battle.
"Huh, you're toast, Zeltrax!" Michael taunted, pulling his weapon out.
"Really?" Zeltrax jibed sarcastically before attacking. Michael went flying to the ground and Zeltrax walked up to him, pointing his sword at him. "Don't bother getting up."
Just then, a blue ranger and a pink ranger leapt into the sky, blasting the villain. Another ranger, blue and white, kicked him and joined his two teammates. Michael watched in surprise as the trio began to fight with Zeltrax when someone spoke.
"Sorry we're late," yet another ranger apologised, helping Michael up. "Someone forgot to send us an invitation. Pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise," Michael responded with a nod. They then began to fight with Zeltrax and a few other monsters/robots.
All too soon, the rangers were cornered by all the monsters and robots.
"Surround them!" Zeltrax demanded. "This is your end, power rangers! You are outnumbered! Look at the size of my army!"
"It is true!" the shadow ranger agreed. "You have us outnumbered but remember: it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog! No one gets inside our circle!"
"No one gets inside!" each ranger repeated, one by one, with immense determination and will power.
"You got it, Commander!" Jack yelled.
"Attack!" Zeltrax ordered again and the monsters did so, only to be forced back.
Everyone seemed to pair up perfectly; most rangers being the same colour as another. Both red rangers went into battilizer mode, cyber/sonic mode and triassic ranger, respectively. The ship overhead suddenly shot off and the rangers regrouped.
"This is it, rangers!" the shadow ranger called.
"RIC!" the SPD rangers summoned their robot dog. "Canine cannon!"
"Z rex blaster!" The dino rangers followed suit, combining their weapons.
"Fire!" they called, destroyed the last of Zeltrax's army.
"Well guys, time to say goodbye," Jack chimed, grinning as all of the rangers stood outside the school.
"So soon?" Conner asked, frowning.
"Yeah, what's the rush?" Kira chirped. "I mean, you're time travellers right? So no matter how long you stay, you can still get back at the same time."
"Not true," Z interjected. "The wormhole's closing; we gotta go."
"I really wish I could stay. I was just born last week so I could meet myself and become my own best friend..." Bridge mused. "Wait... what if I met myself and I didn't like me?" He considered the possibility, looking worried all of a sudden.
"We understand; you guys gotta go. Thanks guys, this has been something I'll always remember," Trent told them with a smile.
"Unfortunately we can't let you do that," Sky informed.
"You're gonna erase our memories... aren't you?" Kira enquired.
"Yeah... we have to," Syd replied sadly. "Knowledge of the future would only change what's meant to be, for better or worse. It's gotta be like this." The dino rangers sighed, looking quite depressed. Kruger moved to stand in front of them.
"Say cheese," he said, shining something in their eyes. "School's over, go home." They blinked rapidly, not understanding what was going on.
"Did that dog just talk?" Kira questioned as they walked away.
"I think so," Conner answered.
"Weirder things have happened," Kim piped in. Tommy and Michael both nodded in agreement.
"Whatever, let's just get some food!" Conner suggested, leading the way to Hayley's Cyberspace as the others laughed.
A/N: I felt really lazy today. Hence the short, non descriptive fighting scenes. REVIEW!
