"Flash! Barry! Wait!"

He was halfway across the Pacific when Wally found him. Barry flinched, but he did slow down to meet his partner.

"Barry… you have to tell us what's wrong."

"You already know. Cisco saw it, didn't he?" Barry couldn't keep the frustration out of his voice.

"He saw the end of the world. You saw the end of the world."

"I saw the end of the universe, Wally. Of the multiverse. I felt it."

"Then come back! Tell us what happened, we can work together—find a different way—"

"Don't you understand? I already tried that!" Barry blurted. "I tried to change the future, my future, and that was the result. I have to get it right this time."

"We can help—"

"No. Wally, please…," Barry pleaded with him. "You have to let me go."

"Barry…"

Barry took one more look at him—Wally West, the man Barry had come to care for like a brother—and sped away, leaving him behind.
