After that moment she quickly got up as did he, then he walked over to the table to pick up a thick book. He tossed it over to her as she caught it with the air knocked out of her for a split second.
"Your homework for tonight…"
She looked down to see an old edition of something called, ' Grimoire.' She flipped through the pages of the balance of the world and the use of magic as well, as well as herbs and potions to create.
"All of it?"
"Yes, for tomorrow you will be tested of those in that book for basic survival you twit, now get to work."
She saw him turn with his cloak bellowing around him as he walked back from which they came. She heard the slamming of the door as she was in the dim little dungeon by herself. She dropped the book as she paced back and forth, feeling her face red from embarrassment.
"How could I have been so stupid! Why on earth did I do that? I should have never done that….Oh he must truly despise me!"
She couldn't help but feel the guilt and embarrassment wash over her as her spunky attitude before was now gone. She never thought she could have done that and that position she was it! Serenity slapped her forehead to feel the sting as she groans to herself.
"Ugh! Why must I feel like this! Snap out of it...I need to...I don't even know anymore."
She stood there for a moment in a daze as she tried to figure out what just happen, especially how bold she acted. She shivered as she recalled his grip as they tumbled on the floor. She glanced down at her arm and slowly unbutton her blouse to shift the material off her shoulder, just enough to look at her arm as she saw a mad red hand print on her fair skin. She buttoned her blouse again while glancing back at the book at her feet. She slowly got down on her knees and placed the book on her lap, slowly opening it up of it's contents. She saw the first few words were that were written with runes. She tried to remember when Hermione took it in the third year while Serenity was taught by Magnus in New York.
She touched the inside of the cover page and glided her fingers over the looked like someone had written something in here for another as she read:
Serenity tilts her head as she says to herself, "The greatest sorcerer who ever lived...Merlin."
She continued to read as it gave a bit of history of the old religion as they were more based on the balance of nature. It was the old way as now what wizards and witches can do is nothing compared to what these people have done. There spells and enchantment able to spread to whole lands. The only reason why current day magic wielders cannot do such things is because the old religion is based on magic of the earth itself while many used just the minimum power of themselves.
As she read she saw incantations, enchantments, and herbal remedies never scene but very must all could be used in crucial moments. Though it was a large book to read she was enraptured in it, completely drinking it all in as she slowly placed the book down at one page and raised her hand. Though she realized she was not used to the old religion she could at least try to attempt it as she raised her wand to levitate one candle in front of her. She looked at the flickering flame as she whispers,
"Forb fleoge…"
Nothing happened as she closed her eyes and took in a large breath. She released the tension in her body as she looked down at the flame and whispers once more,
"Forb fleoge."
Then she felt a soft gust of wind, slowly blowing around her as it made her hair float in the air as the gust of wind blew the flame away.
Serenity suddenly gets up, jumping up and down as she realized she was able to do it. As Serenity studied up on her book more til she grew tired and slowly walked out of the dim training room and up to her own bed, changing into her pajamas and falling asleep on the dark satin bed with the book next to her. While Serenity was dreaming, someone else had left the manor.
The woman looked mad as her faint red hair was draped over her too-skinny shoulders, her hand moving a strand away. Her dull green eyes that were mixed with brown looked at him, flickering up in fury as she placed the blanket over her naked body. The wench watched him as she saw him leave a few coins on top of the little table before placing on his cloak over his shoulder as she says,
"Oh please come back, I'm sure I can get you started...I've never disappointed anyone before~"
The wench tried to pursue him as she rose from the bed, quickly running up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. She pressed her naked body against his from behind as she slowly moved one hand to press against his chest as she purred in his ear,
"Come on~ Don't leave yet~"
Severus turned as he placed a hand on the woman's shoulder and pushed her away and said,
"...Pity...It seems you have failed, but you must be used to that."
He turned and walked out the door as the woman yelled at him right before the door closed,
"You crazy man! How dare you, don't you ever call for my services again you limp son of a-"
He left down the stairs before hearing anymore as he glanced around the small pub. It was a low lit place as many of the booths were secluded little areas, may occupied as well as the bar. He made his way through to the front door, leaving the little pub as he walked down Knockturn Alley. He glanced at a small nearby watch on one of the shop's front doors as he realized it had already been a while as he must return to that infernal house of his. After his parents passed away those on his father's side never wanted him as well as his mother's, but it was after the death of his grandmother was when it was written in her will to give everything she had to her daughter. His mother was dead and thus how he got the Prince family fortune but refused to admit his real identity to others, the only other knowing of his secret was Dumbledore.
As he wandered out of Knockturn Alley back to Diagon his mind still wandered back to the manor as he knew a certain student should be studying for his test tomorrow. The book was a difficult one that many cannot master, but he learned it instantly. That little girl should be crying her eyes out by how difficult the assignment was, he snickered to himself. He could image in the scene in his head as he stares down at her struggling with trying to read the runes. Her teary green eyes looking up at him while her blonde hair was cascaded around her delicate face...Her soft voice whispering in his ear…
Severus shook his head as he wandered through one of the tiny alley ways and apparated himself back to the manor. He opened the front doors and wandered through the halls, glancing at the harsh portraits of his ancestors, all giving looks and stares at him of disgust but he was used to that feeling throughout his life. He arrived at his door but noticed the light was still on is the girl's room. He turned and opened her door about to say something but saw her small form in bed with the book next to her.
She laid there on her back, with one hand over her stomach and the other next to her face with her palm up. Her face slightly turned towards the light as her gentle wavy hair cascaded around her delicate face. He walked over to her quietly and stood at the side, slowly taking the book into his hands to leaf through it. It seemed it was still in tacked and not destroyed from misuse of magic, as he was expecting from her. He placed the book down and right when he was about to blow out the candle he heard her give a stir, whispering softly,
"No...Don't leave me…"
He turned to see her with a single tear slowly go down her cheek. Her body slowly turned to the side in a fetal position, grasping tightly for the bedsheets. He stood there contemplating and turned, deciding it was best for him to leave. Right when he was about to do so he heard her whisper again but this time it was much clearer that before,
"...Snape…"
His head whipped back, thinking she was suddenly awake but she was still asleep. Her body was quivering as she gave out a heartbreaking sigh. Severus didn't know what to do as he slowly approached the bed. He sat at the side as the bed dipped a bit from his weight as he sat rigid by this strange situation. He hesitantly outstretched his hand and cupped her cheek and she moved her face to the warmth of his hand. Suddenly her body stopped shaking and relaxed as she eased her body in a more comfortable position. He realized she was down in her guard as he softly whispers, so she wouldn't awake,
"Legilimens…"
Severus opened his eyes as he saw a dark room. It was full of mirror but all with not his reflections but of different crystal images. As he took a step he heard a voice behind him,
"Professor Snape?"
He turned to see the young Aragon girl dressed in a simple slimming black robes with her hair tied up in a tight pony tail. Her face seemed more mature as her eyes were surprised to see him.
"Aragon…"
"I see...Seems like even in my dreams you evade into my thoughts...As if the real you wasn't hard enough…"
He perked his eyebrow as the girl seemed to believe he was just part of her dream as he nodded,
"You dunderhead...Thinking of all these useless thoughts when you could have studied more instead."
"Yep...Still the same in my dream as in real life…"
She turned away from him and started to walk off to a mirror. He followed her as she saw her staring at one particular one with all the edges of it burnt and almost damaged beyond repair. She was so focused on the images, he glanced at the mirror as well and suddenly the image and sounds were projected in his head.
"Burn them...Burn them all!"
"No! Stop it!"
"Hogwarts is no more! The time of a new era begins now!"
Screams and cries echoed in his head as he flinched for a moment.
"...Pitiful isn't it?"
The sounds and images stopped as he saw the girl touching the mirror, unable to see her face.
" I have the gift of sight to be able to see a better life yet all I end up seeing is what could happen...If I fail…"
He glanced at more of the mirrors and many of them were quite dark, almost sinister. Some of them were deaths of friends, but many of her own. There were only a few beautiful images he saw of her smile and laughter with other around her just as happy. He slowly approached one of where he saw an image of her with Potter and Black in a living room just opening presents. He wanted to hiss but he heard footsteps approach him from behind as he saw her move forward and touch the mirror.
"...I wonder if this will ever happen…"
He stared at her as he finally asked,
"...What is this place to you?"
The young girl looked back at him with sad eyes as she whispers softly, almost sorrowfully,
"...Instead of being a dreamer...End up dreaming a million deaths every night, but when I wake up I never remember...My dreams are the ghosts that haunt me...As well may be the reality that may be the death of me."
