Author's notes: I'm really sorry about how short this chapter is! I would have done it longer but I didn't think this chapter really needed a tonne of words. Don't worry though because I'm currently writing Maya's POV and it's coming really shortly! But her POV is also quite short sorry! I'll try and make the chapters 9 and 10 longer:)

Chapter 7/Lucas POV.

Riley and I stayed in my bedroom as Maya walked downstairs to raid my fridge.

"I can't believe you're going today. I'm going to miss you," I said while facing Riley slightly.

"I'm going to miss you too Lucas, it's only a week though, it will go bye really quickly, I promise."

"I know, it's just I'm used to you always being around. It's stupid…" I trailed off shyly.

"It's not stupid Lucas," then, Riley took a few steps towards me and placed her hands on my waist. I gasped in surprise at her sudden boldness, and I was definitely unprepared when Riley tilted her head and gently pressed her lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, tilting my head a tiny bit in the opposite direction of Riley's. I kissed back a little more forcefully, deepening our lip-lock and taking control of the kiss. Her lips tasted like honey. Sweet, honey delight. And yet, even though the kiss was nice, something about it was wrong. Making out with Riley for the first time wasn't what I thought it was going to be, though I kept on kissing her because there was something alluring about her. Finally, our lips and bodies broke apart, and we just stood there, catching our breath. I didn't know what to say to her. I looked at her for a minute, and tried to read her expression. She was looking at the ground with an uncomprehending expression on her face, so I got nothing. I couldn't help but wonder what she had thought; I did have feelings for her after all.

"So, Riley I," I started to say something, but I didn't know how to continue the sentence. I took a deep breath and prepared to get my words out. "Does this mean that we're dating?" Riley smiled at the floor, while blushing. Her facial expression suddenly became serious while she prepared to speak.

"Uh…" I could see that she was a little unsure of our relationship.

"Look, Riley. We don't have to date if you don't want to, but…" Riley smiled again, and snorted a little.

"Would I kiss you like that if I didn't want to get with you?" I started to get excited; after all this time we finally had our chance.

"So this means that we're dating?" I asked again.

"Yep," Riley said while smiling. She sounded just as excited as I was.

"Great," I replied awkwardly trying to sound nonchalant.

"Yeah," Riley responded, also sounding a little awkward. I looked around and wondered where Maya was. I knew that she went downstairs to get something to eat, but she was taking a while.

"Do you know where Maya is?"

"Oh, she's probably attacking those Kit Kat's that she got. Let's go keep her company." I nodded my head and we walked downstairs but no one was in sight.

"Maya?!" Riley called out; she turned to face me with a puzzled expression.

"Looks like she must have left," I said while shrugging.

"Yeah I guess she did, she probably felt sick or something."

"Yeah…" I wasn't sure why but I felt a little nervous about the situation. A part of me felt guilty, but I didn't want to feel guilty.

"Well I have to go now. I was excited about seeing the movie, but my dad wants me to help him pack for tomorrow. I'll miss you." I nodded my head in unison and she smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Bye Lucas," she left my house and I stood there stiffly. 'What's wrong with me?' I thought to myself 'why do I feel guilty?'
