Lloyd's POV
It's already been eight weeks since Kennedy has been put in a coma. I'm expecting her to wake up in the afternoon. My birthday has already past; now it's her birthday. I'm trying to think on what to get her. A comic book? No, she already has tons of those.A teddy bear? No, too cheesy. Man! What would a good boyfriend get his girlfriend for her birthday? Jewelry? Pah! …hey…maybe I should get her a ring! Yeah, a promise ring! I should get one for both of us. But I'll have to ask Kennedy's brother first. It may be a tough job, but it just might work.
Minutes Later…
"Sure." Steaphen said. I was surprised! I thought he might blow up on me. "Sure? That's it? You're no gonna throw a fit or try to punch me?" "No, I know that you love my sister so much, and so do I. We're like…brothers in a way. You deserve to be with Kennedy." …That's the nicest thing he's ever said to me…I tried not to cry and just quickly nodded a thank you and walked out the door. I need to thing this through…
10 minutes Later…
Ok, I've gotten myself together, now about those promise rings…I have no clue where I'm going to find a promise ring…hey, there's this jewelry story Nya always goes to. Maybe I can get some from there.
At the Jewelry Store…
I've gotten the rings and they look so awesome! They both look the same, but mine's a bit bigger. They're gold with pink and green gemstones and our names on them. Kennedy's gonna love this! I can wait until she wakes up!
At the Hospital…
Normal POV
Lloyd and the others had brought in their gifts for Kennedy. All of them were very excited and couldn't wait for her to wake up. But instead they did have to wait. Because Kennedy wasn't waking up. So, they decided to stay a little longer.
…And the longer it took, the sadder they became…
One by one they all started to leave out of the room except for Lloyd. He still had hope and would not give up. So, he just stood there and waited…and waited…and waited…but Kennedy was not waking up.
Lloyd sighed. He had given up all hope. He sit he gift down followed by a card on the night stand. He then kissed Kennedy's fore head and then slowly walked out of the room.
In Kennedy's Dream…
"No Kennedy! You don't have to do this!" Lloyd begged. "I have to. It's my destiny." Kennedy said. "Please! I'm begging you, don't do this!" Kennedy ignored Lloyd as she stepped up to the fowl beast. It raised its sharp claws ready to strike her, and sliced down…
Kennedy woke up with a gasp. She raised her hand and landed it on her heart, breathing hard. "My dream…" She thought. "We looked so much older…and I was about to…" Kennedy looked around and found that she was in a hospital room. She then spotted a bunch of boxes all wrapped up in colorful wrapping paper. "How long was I out for?" She thought. Kennedy looked over to the calendar. September 28th. Today was her birthday! That must be what the boxes were for. She bent of the edge of the hospital bed, being careful not to hurt her ribs. She grabbed one of the presents and started to unwrap it.
Minutes Later…
Kennedy's POV
These all are great presents! Steaphen got me these really cool headphones I saw in a store in the city, Kai got me Fist to Face 3. Jay made a scrap book of pictures of me, him, and everyone else on the bounty. Zane got me a book called 'The History of Ninjago'. I guess he knows how much I love to read. Cole made a really cool painting of me. It looks realistic! He's a really go artist. Sensei got me… a jar of tea leaves? Oh, I see now! The jar says Telepathy Tea. If I drink the tea, I will be able to read the minds of others. That is awesome! Nya made a little plush doll. And it looks just like me! How cute!
I love all of these gifts a lot, but I feel like some things missing. I can't quite put my finger on it…oh, yeah! Lloyd! I didn't see his gift yet. But where is it?
Normal POV
Kennedy looked around for Lloyd's gift and spotted a little black box with a ribbon on it and a card. She picked up the card and read it.
Dear Kennedy,
I'm still very worried about you. You never seemed to wake up when we were waiting for you. So, we all just left. But, anyway, today is your birthday. We left you presents if you haven't already noticed. I hope you like my present. It took my whole allowance, but I don't care. I just want to make you happy.

Kennedy put down the note and opened the little box. She was very surprised when she saw the ring. She quickly took one of her old rings off and put the promise ring on. It fit perfectly. Kennedy was so happy that she started to cry. She dabbed at her eyes with the sheets and continued to stare at the ring for minutes.

I watched as Kennedy started to cry through the window and smirked, my razor sharp fangs poking out. "Oh, why so sad, my dear pink rose?" I chuckled. "Don't worry; I'll make you feel all better, soon." I leaped from the window and transformed into a bat and flew away. "Kennedy, my pink rose, you will be mine…"
