And we are back! Here is chapter 14!

Kennedy's POV

The sun's rays beat down on my eyes. "Is it morning already?" I really didn't feel like waking up today. I actually didn't get enough sleep last night. I had a weird feeling….or maybe it's just the pain in my chest. A nurse came inside the room. She smiled when she saw me. "Well, it's good to see that you are finally awake!" In her hands was a tray with a clean roll of bandages, a bottle of cleaning alcohol, some cotton balls, a needle, HPV vaccine, and pain killers. "How are you feeling?" she said. "Um…normal." She smiled again as she opened the bottle of alcohol. "That's great; your friends thought you were in an endless sleep. They were here last night." I then remembered the ring on her finger. I smiled at it and turned back to the nurse. "I know. I woke up at the last minute. I found a note on the night stand saying that they were here." The nurse soaked a cotton ball with alcohol and rubbed it on my arm. Then she stuck the needle in. "Ah, yes. The young man said that he was very worried about you and he stayed for a little while longer. He is very persistent." My stomach began to growl. Wow, I'm so hungry! The nurse laughed. "Don't worry. After I replace those old bandages with news ones, I'll have some breakfast sent up here, right away. Then after that, we'll call your friends." I smiled. "That would be wonderful!"

After Breakfast…

Man, those pancakes were good! But not as good as Zane's…Zane…I sure do miss him, and of course his cooking. The nurse picked up a phone and started dialing.

Meanwhile…

Lloyd's POV

The phone started ringing and Kai went to pick it up. "Hello? Yeah…What?! She's awake...Oh, yeah I'll go get him." Kai ran up to me and literally shoved the phone in my face. "It's the nurse from the hospital; she wants to talk to you!" I took the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hello Mr. Garmadon. I have called to tell you that your friend has awoken."

"She is?! Oh, how is she?"

"She's fine, a few injuries here and there, but fine. I would like to speak with your uncle."

"Oh, before I give the phone to him can I speak to Kennedy?"

"Of course!"

"Hello?"

"Kennedy, I was so worried about you! Are you ok? How hurt are you?"

"Lloyd, I'm ok, nothing very serious, I've just a…broken an arm and a few ribs that's all."

"But are you sure you're alright?"

"Positive."

"Are you sure you're positive?"

"…Yes."

"Are you sure you're sure you're positive?"

"Lloyd!"

"Ok, ok! You're fine. We'll be there in a jiff, bye!

"Bye Lloyd!"

Normal POV

After Kennedy gave the phone back to the nurse, Lloyd went and gave his phone to Sensei Wu. "Hello?" The nurse started speaking again. "Hello Mr. Wu. Your student is fully awake and is ready to go home." "That's great news! What time should we come?" "Any time you'd like! However, I must say that she is still hurt. I would suggest no training for at least 2 weeks." "Yes, no training. We will be over soon." Sensei then hung up.

Later…

Lloyd and Kennedy hugged each other. Lloyd had been sad for so long that he started to squeeze Kennedy a bit too much. "Man, I missed you so much, Kennedy! You don't know how long we- "Lloyd?" "Yeah?" "Kinda crushing me here." Lloyd let go. "Sorry."

As everyone started to leave, Kennedy suddenly got chills up her spine. She stopped and looked back into the room. Lloyd noticed and walked up to her. "What's wrong Kennedy?" She looked back at Lloyd. "Oh, I'm ok, it's just…I've been getting weird feelings in that room…like I was being watched." Lloyd blinked and smiled. "Well, you're in a hospital. It gets very creepy in here at night. Maybe you're just paranoid. And besides, you're coming back home with me now. I'll protect you."

Little did they know that a pair of blood red eyes were watching them through the window….And they did not look very happy.
