P.S: I'm warning you. There will be make out scene on Spencer and Emily, if you didn't feel comfortable, just skip to the next part.
Spencer wrapped her arms around Emily tightly as she trying to steady their body while making their way to nearby couch in the middle of the room. Emily slowly sat on the couch while gently pulled Spencer to sit on her laps without breaking the kiss.
Spencer's hand cupped Emily's face gently while her lips hungrily captured Emily's lips in lust. Emily pulled Spencer's body closer to her while her hands gently stroked Spencer's back and her lips busy returning the kiss that Spencer sent to her.
"God, I miss you so much." Spencer whispered against the kisses.
"You think I don't?" Emily replied quickly before captured Spencer's lips again.
Spencer smiled against the kisses while opened her mouth to deepen the kiss. Emily took the signal and slowly stuck her tongue on Spencer's mouth, battle in for dominance. Spencer could feel of the electricity running throughout her body as she suck Emily's tongue and the rhythms of her heart beating faster as her lungs slowly running out of air.
Emily could felt that the air she is now breathing with is the air from Spencer gasp. Emily slowly tilted her head and let Spencer take control of the kiss. Spencer got the sign and passionately kissed Emily. Spencer slowly moved down a little and began kissing Emily's chin and jaw. Emily closed her eyes and let out a soft moan from her lips in a pleasure.
Spencer felt the moan that just escaped Emily's mouth is not enough for her. She decided to move down to her neck and began kissing all of the way while sometimes gently bite her neck and successfully getting a louder moan from the previous one, her breath panting, desperately wanting for more air, but Spencer wouldn't let it as she move her lips back to Emily's.
Emily's left hand wandered to the back of Spencer's head, slightly pushed it closer to her face. Spencer's hand caressed Emily's cheek softly as her lips passionately kissed Emily's. This time, Spencer let out a soft moan while Emily took her turn to slowly kissed Spencer's neck. As soon as Emily's warm breath met Spencer's skin, she shivered against it and let out another moan.
"Em…." Spencer whispered slowly.
Emily responded by slowly bite Spencer's sensitive skin and kissed it along the way. Spencer shut her eyes tightly as she slowly crumpled on Emily's shoulder begging not to stop the bliss that she already caused on her. Emily moved her lips up to Spencer's jaw before back to her lips again, Emily slightly pulled off Spencer's coat, exposing her bare shoulder.
Spencer was about to do the same to Emily's shirt when loud beeping sound came from her table. She slightly glanced when she noticed that was coming from Emily's phone without breaking the kiss.
"Maybe…You…Should….Take…That…." Spencer said between the kisses.
Emily broke the kiss slowly and stared at Spencer. "Maybe that's not important."
Emily pulled Spencer again for another kiss when the loud sound came again from Emily's phone. Spencer broke the kiss and smirked slightly at Emily. "I think whoever that person is really want your attention."
Emily sighed fatefully and grabbed her phone from the table and opened the 2 text messages. "Shit, this is from my partner." Emily said, slightly panicked.
Spencer quickly got off from Emily's lap and sat beside her on the couch while steadying her breath and the beats of her heart. "Is something wrong?" She asked worriedly.
Emily opened the text and her eyes rolled in annoyance when she saw that her partner only asked when the time she will be back, and the second text told her that they will leave at 3 or 4 PM. " He just informed when do we leave and he asked me when will I get there" Emily said, slightly dejected.
"Are you pissed?" Spencer said while putting her hand above Emily's.
"Kind of, we're in the middle of…..you know? And it is interrupted by a text. It slightly mirrored our first kiss, wasn't it?" Emily slowly linked her hands and Spencer's.
Spencer smiled. "Yeah, it was interrupted by Hanna and Aria and I was the one who realized that they were standing there."
"Wait, you realized it first?" Emily asked while raised her eyebrows.
"Mm, yeah." Spencer said shyly.
Emily smirked and stroked Spencer's hand gently. "I think I could imagine what their face looked like" She chuckled.
Spencer grinned and then joined Emily's laughter when suddenly a growling sound echoed throughout the room. Spencer's red slowly reddened in embarrassment.
"I guess that grumpy stomach of yours never really changed." Emily laughed. "Haven't you eaten this morning?"
"I guess a coffee and some breadsticks didn't enough for it." Spencer said slowly, still feeling embarrassed.
Emily smiled and took the pizza box from the table. "I think it's a good choice to bring this pizza here, isn't it?"
Spencer nodded in agreement. "What do you brought?"
"It's your favorite, pepperoni and cheese." Emily said while handed one piece of the pizza to Spencer.
"Thanks. You remember it very clearly." Spencer said while taking a bite of the pizza.
"How can I forget? I like pepperoni too." Emily said, smirking.
Spencer smiled in amusement while taking another bite. They sat in the silence for a minute before Emily spoke first.
"So, how is here?" She asked.
"A little better than Rosewood but I still prefer the fresh air of small town instead of big city." Spencer stated.
"Well, it's different I think, I love Rosewood's air too." Emily said while taking another bite. "How's the job? Are you already got into master of surgery or do you still studying those with paper?"
"Well, I'm surgical intern. My job is not with paper." Spencer said seriously.
Emily narrowed her eyes. "But I think I saw there is a doctor, getting stuck with papers all the time near the nurse desk."
Spencer widened her eyes and then chuckled. "Well, that's my resident. I just getting stuck with her for 2 days and what I did was taking all of her surgeries and taking the paperwork thing seriously."
"Wait, you took all of her surgeries? What does she do then?" Emily asked suspiciously.
"Mostly writing those stupid papers, monitoring patients by reports that I gave them and sometimes if she still cares about new patient coming up, she will show up in the OR." Spencer shrugged.
Emily stared at her suspiciously. "What kind of doctor is that? Did the attending know?"
"All of the attending know that she was the best second year and it was all because she didn't do her job." Spencer blurted in annoyance.
Emily urged Spencer to continue, she felt that a doctor shouldn't be working with papers all the time and ignoring the patient.
"She made the new intern under her services do all of her job and report back to her once it done and then she went to the attending and the next thing I know, she got another plus point from them."
"It's a crime actually." Emily said slowly.
Spencer stared at Emily in confusion. "What do you mean it's a crime?"
"I don't know much about this stuff but abandoning your patient and you get the credit because other people do the job for you. That is a crime. I read a journal about this when I was still in the academy and what I read was Philadelphia Community Hospital has covered up a malpractice by one of the doctor." Emily stated, Spencer moved closer to Emily. "He didn't do the surgery but he gave in for another resident or maybe other doctor, I don't know" She shrugged. "One day, that patient died with unknown causes. Of course the doctor would be the blame and he stated that he didn't do the surgery but all of the attending pointing to him because the reports said that he was the one who did it."
"So, he got arrested for the malpractice?"
"Not just that, his intern told the police about abandoning the patient and he admit that he is the one who did the surgery but it was ordered by the doctor. So, the doctor also got sued and he is arrested for that." Emily explained.
"Wow, I didn't know about that." Spencer said.
"It's a very rare case, and fortunately the intern who was also being sued, the charges against him was dropped because the doctor took all of the responsibilities. This is serious Spence; I think you should warn your resident. It can be damage to anyone including you. I just worried about you." Emily ducked her head.
Spencer's hand quickly grabbed Emily's and squeezed it softly. "Hey, nothing is going to happen to me, okay? I'll talk to her about this." Spencer said, and then she slowly lean in and captured Emily's lips.
"What was that for?" Emily asked.
"Calm your nerves. You seemed intense." Spencer smiled coyly.
"Thanks." She smiled and then grabbed another pizza.
"Okay, enough about me. So, Is it fun being a police?" Spencer asked, changing the subject.
Emily smirked. "If you asked if it's fun or not the answer is not really. Sometimes, I only ate donuts on my desk and reading journals." Emily chuckled.
"No wonder you looked fat." Spencer laughed.
Emily stared at her disbelieving and then stood up suddenly. "Am I? I don't think this shirt covered it well enough" She said while grope her stomach, slightly lifted her shirt and showed her abs.
"Whoa, is that a six-pack?" Spencer stared in awe.
Emily smirked playfully. "So, I think I catch you checking out my abs, eh?" She teased.
"Since when did you have it?"
"I think I just realized it after a semester on the academy, the physical training really pain in the ass." Emily said while fixing up her shirt.
"Well, at least you won't get fat while eating donuts and burgers like me, right?"
"You're the doctor, you know more about healthy live than me." Emily said while sat back on the couch.
"You know me; I can't eat some breadsticks for my breakfast." Spencer fake pouted while rubbing her stomach.
"Your stomach won't stop growling." Emily chuckled when she heard Spencer's stomach start growling again. "Is a pizza didn't make you full enough?"
"I don't know." Spencer rubbed her head slowly. "Just forget about it, I'll get another food later." Spencer repositioned herself on the couch before faced Emily. "So, how is the progress on your case right now?" Spencer asked curiously, trying to change the subject.
Emily relaxed herself on the couch while crossing her arms in front of her chest and narrowed her eyebrows a little before she faced Spencer with an intense face. "I got a feeling that James lying to us, but I can't conclude that yet. Right now, we already asked the local PD to ask alibi from James' uncle and we still waiting for the result."
"How do you know that he is lying?" She frowned.
"People have a weird habit when they are lying and I noticed that very clearly but we can't interrogate him much due to his health." Emily explained.
Spencer nodded in understanding before they sat there in an awkward silence for another minutes. Emily stole a glance on Spencer and nervously playing with her fingers. Speak something idiot!
Spencer moved her lips right and left while trying to think about something that she should have ask long time ago but out of her guts, she bit back those words from her lips in a shade that she and Emily will be separated again in the matter of minutes. Spencer braced herself and clenched her fist before turning her face to Emily, facing her with all of the confidence inside her.
"Em?" Spencer gently touched Emily's hand.
"Yes?" Emily answered with a slight confusion on her face.
Spencer scooted closer to Emily and stared at her firmly. "What do you think of our relationship?"
Emily frowned; she then stared at Spencer intensely. "What do you mean?"
Spencer gulped slowly before she composed herself and stared back at Emily. "I mean, we can't just leave it hanging like this, right?"
Emily formed a small smile and squeezed Spencer's hand lightly. "I was hoping that you could ask that."
Spencer frowned and stared at Emily curiously.
Emily looked away, let out a heavy breath and put her hands on her knee. "I have a thought that maybe you could ask that but in the other hand you'll doubt about see me again, right?" Emily asked, getting a nod in response. Emily smiled coyly and playing with her fingers.
"Yeah, I don't think I could see you again, I mean…. Just look at my messy work schedule and maybe you have plenty of cases you need to work on and I'm not sure it will work out if we didn't see each other for long time." Spencer said slowly, disappointment on her voice.
Emily turned her attention back to Spencer and she grabbed her hands. "Do you remember the reason I gave you that necklace?" Emily asked.
Spencer nodded slowly.
"You said that you never took it off since the day we graduate and from what I see, that necklace didn't rusty even a bit." Emily gently stoked Spencer's hands. "You do know that I never call you, right? You get through that."
"It's different Emily. We were only best friend and even I did confess that I like you, we never get involved this far. It's a different feeling Em."
"I know that, I could feel it too. That's why I came here. Spencer, I promise that I will call you in every chance that I got. Maybe I can come here if I got a vacation, don't worry." Emily said reassuringly.
Spencer sighed. "How about this, we can try keep in touch until the end of the week when we have lunch with Hanna and Aria. If it didn't work out we should talk about it and if it does work, we should talk about it too." Spencer said in a typical Hastings tone.
"I think that's a good idea, but are you sure?"
"I'm sure." Spencer said confidently.
"Okay." Emily moved closer and captured Spencer's lips again. This time, the kiss was slower than before but still passionate.
Spencer slowly lied down on the couch, slightly pulled Emily on top of her. Spencer passionately kissed Emily's mesmerizing lips and her hands wandered to Emily's neck and made a circle around her neck protectively. Emily slightly lifted up her weight so she can steady her body with Spencer's. As the make out session starting to go further, Emily's phone chimed out loud; clearly interrupted the heated moment inside the room.
"Ugh." Emily grumbled while slowly broke the kiss.
Spencer chuckled. "What's up Miss Grumpy? Your phone really wants your attention."
"Okay." Emily said while get up from her current position and grabbed her cellphone which still ringing.
"Hello?"
"Officer, we're leaving in 45 minutes. Say goodbye to Spencer, give her a kiss and get your ass to the local PD fast!" The person on the other line yelled.
"A-Alright detective, I'll come." Emily said quickly before shut the call down.
"Well, I guess. It's time for you to leave, isn't it?" Spencer said while fixing up her messy hair.
"Yeah, I'm sorry Spencer. I promise I will call you or text you or whatever and I hope that I can make it for Sunday." Emily rambled as she stood up from the couch, followed by Spencer.
Spencer put her index finger on Emily's lips and followed by a quick peck. "Stop rambling, you never cute when you're rambling." Spencer said firmly.
Emily shocked by Spencer's words and then formed a small smile. "I'll try not to."
Spencer grinned; she helped Emily get her coat and walked her to her apartment door.
"Thanks for coming Em." Spencer stated once they were standing in front of each other near the door.
"Don't mention it. I promise we will work this out." Emily said reassuringly.
Spencer stared at Emily before pulling her to a tight crushing bone hug. She buried her neck on Emily's neck, smelling the raven haired vanilla scent which still clinging on her body. Emily quickly returned the hug and gave Spencer a light kiss on her cheek.
"Just swamp yourself with work or something. In case, I didn't call for some reason." Emily said once they broke the hug.
Spencer nodded and leaned in to give Emily a quick peck and stared at her. "Bye." She whispered.
"Bye." Emily returned and shot her a small smile before walked away from the hallway of Spencer's apartment.
Emily was driving like crazy to the local PD where her partner waiting with both arms crossed between his chest, and his grumpy mouth started to rambling where the hell she is. Once she parked the car on the parking lot, Emily quickly ran inside the PD and found her partner eating donuts with some personnel. Emily just stood there, a little shocked and if the look on her face could talk, it would say 'What the hell is going on here?'
"Hoi, Officer! Want to try some donuts?" The blonde detective shouted.
"You phoned me 15 minutes ago in such a hurry and then I came here and now I'm watching you eating donuts, is this the emergency?" Emily asked sarcastically.
The detective put down his donut and smiled innocently. "Well, when I called you we had to leave but these guys brought me donuts and I'm hungry, so why don't you take a bite and we can leave?" The detective offered politely.
Emily sighed. "I'm not hungry anymore. I better wait in the car." Emily quickly walked to the exit way in slight of annoyance deep in her heart.
The detective apologized to the other personnel, took his briefcase and ran to the exit, chasing Emily who already halfway reached the car. "Officer, wait!" He shouted.
Emily turned around and tilted her head. "What? We're leaving now? Good." She replied sarcastically.
"Okay, I know. It's my fault. I'm sorry officer; I hope I didn't interrupt your date with your girlfriend."
"Interrupt maybe is not the exact word. If you say ruined, maybe it will fit better." Emily answered dryly and rolled her eyes before she walked to the car and get in on the passenger seat.
The detective sighed heavily as he got in the driver seat and buckled his seatbelt. "If you didn't want to talk about it, fine but you need to read this, tell me what you think." The detective grabbed his briefcase and threw it on Emily.
The detective pulled his car as Emily opened the briefcase and read the file inside it carefully. Her eyes scanned the whole file carefully and when they reached the border area of Harrisburg, Emily finally got the conclusion on that file.
"Knight and Tyler are relatives?" Emily asked disbelief.
The detective nodded silently as he kept driving the car.
"Hold on. So, that means that James and Adam are long distance relatives and they were dating?"
"Yes, Danny Knight actually didn't know about it at all. I checked the Trebles family history and I found out that Knight and George Tyler have the same grandparents." He explained.
"So, we should ask James if he knew about this." Emily pointed.
"Exactly, and I got a call from the forensic, they are telling me that the killer is in contact with weeds. Also, the manhunt followed George's tail and he flee before we could captured him."
Emily frowned. "I'll write that down but is there any chance we could find him?"
"Of course, there is. That's why I called you." The detective turned her gaze to Emily. "And I'm really sorry if it disturbed you."
Emily ducked her head and squeezed her hands. "No problem, shame me. I shouldn't storm out at you like that." She said remorsefully.
"Nah, it was fine. I shouldn't take that donut anyway. When we crash our wheels on Philly, you get your gun ready." He said firmly.
Emily nodded and put back the files on the detective briefcase. After she was done her phone suddenly buzzed, she took out her phone and sent a text message to someone before putting it back on her pocket.
Spencer was dressing on her bedroom in such a hurry. When Emily left off, she walked to the bouquet that Emily gave her and stroke it gently while remember what Emily told her earlier. She didn't realize that she had been staring at the bouquet too long and her shift started in 15 minutes. She quickly put on a trouser and a blue shirt before she stormed out of her apartment and running like she is been chasing by a dog.
She arrived at the hospital in 5 minutes as usual before she went to the intern's room and changed her clothes to scrubs. Spencer then grabbed her files on her locker and began to write some paperwork she'd been assigned to.
"Spencer?" A young intern was standing on the doorstep, carrying some books and files.
"What's up Jack?" She looked up to her fellow intern.
"This is the journal you've been asking for and this is the files from your resident about your car-wreck patient." He said while handed the pile of books and files beside Spencer.
Spencer sighed when she saw how high the pile. "Thanks Jack." Spencer said helplessly.
"Well, why are you agreed in the first place to do this paper crap thing? Honestly, I won't be volunteered if I were you."
"I think I'm going to finish this after I check up on my patient. Plus, do you know where my resident is?" Spencer asked while put her papers down.
"As usual, she is in the ER, writing papers."
"Okay, thanks." Spencer said while get out from that room and walked to her patient room near a nurse desk. She saw that girl still playing with her father and they looked like they were having fun.
"Hello Aveny, how are you feeling today?" Spencer greeted.
"Better." She replied shortly.
"Good. I'm just going to examine you a little and we'll see your development, okay?"
The girl nodded and Spencer checked everything on her including monitors, IV and the patient's reflex.
"Can she come home soon?" The father asked suddenly.
"Oh, we should see her post-op report and we still need to make sure there aren't any infections or clot on her but on my sight, she will be home in short." Spencer said reassuringly.
"Thanks doctor." The father smiled.
"You're welcome, let her take a rest." Spencer said before she left the room and walked to the ER to find her resident.
Spencer wasn't sure if she should talk to her resident about this, but she didn't want Emily to worry about it too. Without a doubt, Spencer took her phone out.
Em, I'm going to talk to Warner about this but I'm not sure that I could but I will try my best. Thanks for coming today and I really hope we can meet soon and as you said before that we can work this out. –Spence-
Spencer shook her phone back to her pocket before she walked back to the ER and she spotted her resident still working with papers on the nurse desk. She stared at her before her phone buzzed on her pocket. Emily replied her text.
Do it if you ready, I just didn't want to see you just swamped with bunch of papers and you didn't get a chance to be a real doctor. So, I believe you can. Don't mention it, I promise I will call you soon. I have a mission coming up. Bye. –Em-
Spencer took a long last deep breath before she walked to her resident and patted her on the shoulder.
"Dr. Warner…. May I have a word with you?"
Please take a moment to leave a review. Thanks!
