"Dr. Warner….. May I have a word with you?" Spencer asked nervously.

The blonde doctor tuned her face to Spencer and stared at her in confusion, her eyes wandered around the slightly taller brunette in front of her. "Yes? What's up Hastings?"

Spencer gulped, she nervously tapped her feet while she trying to ease her nerves while staring to the blonde doctor. "Uh, I just noticed that maybe you never really get involved with patient, actually I was wondering why you are so busy with that paperwork."

The blonde tilted her head and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Well, this is my fourth year and I'm about to be a fifth year and what I have to do is completing the patients charts and I sense something weird when you asked me about that." She hissed.

Spencer was taken aback by the tone of her resident's voice; she could feel somehow the blonde feel offended. "No, it just, I heard many good things about you and in my head a good things mean a good surgeon and what clearly my eyes are seeing that you always working with your paperwork" Spencer stated, clearly unaware of the offended face that her supervisor put on since Spencer answer the previous statement.

"Are you trying to criticize my work by teaching me what should I do?" The blonde's voice increased.

"Oh, no…no… I just was wondering about it." Spencer said defensively.

The blonde doctor took a step forward and put her face just inches away from Spencer and stared at her firmly. "You think, an Intern like you could teach me what should I do? I know that you didn't really comfortable with the way I treated you but remember that I still hold your first point to becoming a resident, this is just your third day, if you don't want to be an ER servant you need to back off." She said firmly.

The blonde began to walk away when Spencer suddenly grabbed her wrist firmly and spin her around so she can face the blonde. "I respect you and with due of respect, I just trying to say that you shouldn't get any credit from the intern who treated your patient by taking their points." Spencer stated firmly, straight to the point, the doctor widened her eyes in shock. "And I do know too about what did you do to some intern that you handle. I just didn't want to be the part of that."

"You think you know everything?" The doctor hissed back and detached her hand from Spencer before grabbing back her stuff. "You know what? You can't threaten your resident like that; you could lose a bunch of point…." She smirked deviously and stared at Spencer viciously. "But since I'm nice enough maybe I could just dismissed you from my service and let you take the patient. Plus, just say goodbye to your first residency ticket. Good luck being an ER servant." The doctor wink and walked away leaving Spencer in a shock face.

"I'm sorry but I think I heard that she said you're an ER servant" Jack comes up behind him in a same shock expression as Spencer.

Spencer silently crying while trying to fought back her tears which threatened to drop from her pretty eyes.

"Oh, come on Hastings. Let's get you to the room." He said while leading Spencer to the intern room and seated her at the nearby sofa.

"I just work here 3 days and I'm an ER servant? Fantastic." She said sarcastically.

"I know it's rough but at least you don't have to worry about paperwork anymore." He said, trying to cheer Spencer up.

"It's not that Jack. I can't believe she is capable of doing that." Spencer said while wiping her tears.

"You'll get through this, I saw you when you were at the OR. You're clearly a dark horse, don't worry someone is going to grab you to their service." He said reassuringly.

A smile slowly appeared on Spencer's face." Thanks Jack".

"You're welcome". He smiled.

Suddenly, the pager on Spencer's coat beeped loudly, getting the brunette attention. "Oh, someone's need me, Gotta run."

"Just wipe out that 'looked blue' face out of yours, it's not pretty." He said jokingly.

"Oh, I will." Spencer chuckled before she ran to straight to the ER.

"What do we got here?" Spencer asked to the paramedics.

"Motorcycle accident, Male, 26, got a multiple bone fractures and his abdomen got multiple scratches." The paramedic said while pushing the gurney.

"Okay, we begin transport in one…two…three" Spencer ordered.

Spencer took her lamplight and checked his pupils. "Sir, you're in Harrisburg Community Hospital, can you hear me?" Spencer asked.

"Ugh…" The man groaned.

"Send someone from ortho and neuron!" Spencer ordered.

"I'm on it." One of the nurses yelled.

Spencer began to examine the man. When she was examined his chest she suddenly looked something strange on the man's chest, she quickly took out her stethoscope and put it on the man's chest while listening to the heart carefully. "Oh, No" She exclaimed.

"What's the matter?" One of the paramedic asked.

"His ribs are broken and I think one of the pieces hit his heart, I could hear a tamponade sound.

"What do we get?" A doctor from ortho asked.

"His ribs are broken and the pieces maybe hit his heart, there is a tamponade sound." Spencer explained.

"Okay, move over." The doctor examined the patient before she slung back her stethoscope to her neck. "All right, get him to the OR now and get someone from cardio." She shouted to the nurses and then she approached Spencer who stood by near an IV pole. "Hastings, you stay here, I heard from Warner that you're ER servant. So, better keep it good or you won't get another resident." The doctor advised.

"Wait, I can't get to surgery?" Spencer asked, shocked.

"Nope, until you get a new resident, No resident, No OR. Excuse me." The doctor said before walking to different direction leaving Spencer with a watery eyes and jaw dropped in shock.

"Hello, this is Officer Fields; we request the manhunt result of George Tyler right away."

Emily looked at her partner intensely as they approached the border area of Philadelphia. Her partner fixed his gaze on the road while his hands gripping the steering wheel hard. Emily took a deep breath before the person on the other line answered her again.

"Okay, thanks. We'll be there." Emily said before hung up the call and shoved back her phone to her pocket. "Get straight to area 55; he is in a local bar." Emily said firmly to her partner.

Anthony nodded firmly before pushing the gas pedal harder. Emily nervously took her gun out from the gun case and checked the full of bullet magazine before placing it on the dashboard.

"Nervous?" The blonde man asked, snapping Emily out of her thought.

"Maybe, it's my first raid." Emily stated, occasionally tapping her fingers on her thighs nervously.

"Don't be. If you nervous, mission failed. I warn you." He said sternly.

Emily looked at her partner nervously while trying to calm her nerves; she took out her necklace and gently stroked it. Their car briskly went to the local bar at the downtown; Emily grabbed her gun and put it back to her gun case while her partner confidently get out from the car and ran straight to where the bouncer stood.

"I need to get in." He said firmly while trying to breach the door.

"Whoa, slow down buddy. Need to see some ID." The bouncer hampered.

Anthony smirked, he waited until Emily stood right beside him and he took out his badge showing them off as a police. The bouncer shocked and let them passed through without speaking one word to both of them.

Once they were inside, some alcoholic and gambler could be seen everywhere, Anthony slowly move closer to Emily and whispered. "Keep your eyes open, I'm going to call the force, this gambler crook need to be arrested. If you see him, don't let him out of your sight." The detective said firmly.

Emily nodded and walked slowly to one of the side of the bar. She covered her nose from the alcohol scent which sting right into her nose as soon as she smelled it, even she didn't really concentrate because of the scent, and she managed to spot a man sitting on the bar, drinking some beers that she noticed as George Tyler.

Emily who still covered her mouth with her palm slowly approached the man and took a seat 3 chair away from him. She silently glanced at the big man who still didn't notice her presence and looked like he is a little drunk.

"What can I get you beauty?" A man voice suddenly came up beside Emily, shocking her in place.

"No, thank you." Emily said nervously to the bartender.

"Oh, come on. Why would you be sitting here, if you didn't drink, huh?" The bartender flirted.

Emily smiled politely before shook her head slowly. The bartender shrugged, but before he could get back to her job, Emily called her. The bartender smirked flirtatiously before raised up his eyebrows. "You changed your mind?"

Emily smirked. "Actually, can you do me a favor?"

"What is that?" He asked.

"You see the big man over there?" Emily asked while pointing to George with her head, getting a nod in response. "I want you to ask his name and tell me if he is drunk or not." Emily said softly.

"Okay." The bartender smirked before heading towards George's chair while he still drinking beers. The bartender politely asked what Emily told him earlier. Emily can barely hear it but she is pretty sure that the man over there is indeed George Tyler, when the bartender done speaking to him, he quickly approached Emily.

"So?" Emily asked.

"Name, George Tyler and yes, he is drunk." The bartender shrugged.

"Thank you." Emily said while slipping 20 bucks to the bartender's hand and quickly grabbed her phone to dial her partner's number. After 3 rings he finally picked it up.

"Detective, I found him it's at the bar." Emily whispered.

"Hang on for another 5 minutes, the force is coming. Don't let him out of your sight." The detective said firmly before hanging up the call.

"B-But…" Emily quickly looked at her phone and sighed in frustration "Damn it."

Emily's gaze wandered around the bar before she finally noticed that George Tyler wasn't on the spot. "What the hell..." She uttered. Emily walked quickly to the bar when she suddenly noticed that the big guy walked to an emergency exit in such a rush.

No bother wasting time, Emily quickly chased after the guy and when she spotted the guy was about to ride in a truck. Emily yelled after him. "Hey! You! Stop right there!"

George quickly turned around, but just a second he noticed the shirt Emily was wearing and immediately responded by running towards Emily's direction.

With a second after the encounter, Emily found herself lying on the ground with a bruise on her cheekbone and the big guy struggling to get back on his feet while trying to ease pain he received on his abdomen. "You whore…" He hissed.

Emily stroked her bruise and took out her gun. "Hands up! You're going to pay with this!" Emily yelled.

Just then, a group of police appeared from the edge of the bar and circling around the hands-up George Tyler and led him through a police car. Anthony quickly appeared beside Emily and spotted a painted dark purple on her partner's cheek. "Holy! You okay officer?" He asked worriedly.

"Eh? Detective, I didn't see you there." Emily took a step back before slightly stroked the bruise. "It's fine, it will healed I guess." Emily said slowly.

The older man sighed and he led Emily back to their car and drove away from the busted bar to go back to the police station.

The blonde detective with the raven haired girl walked to a room which looked like an interrogation room alongside a big man which settled on his chair with his handcuffed. When they both arrived at the table where the man was seated, the blonde detective slammed a file on the table hardly, much of everyone surprise.

He stared hardly to the man. "What the hell do you think you're doing, huh?"

The big man stared at him blankly, when he didn't answer, the detective sat down on the chair in front of him and crossed his arms on the table. "You attacked a police officer. How do you going to explain yourself?" He asked firmly.

George didn't response, he even throw a death glare to Emily who stood near the exit room.

"Oh, you didn't want to answer me? Alright, now, just get to the point, why did you kill your own nephew?" He asked firmly.

The bigger man looked up and her calm face turned into an angry one. "I didn't kill him!" He shouted.

"Why do you think we believe you? You are capable of killing people. I'm sure you know what I mean." The detective stood up, with Emily following close behind.

"You are talking about that Trebles?" He chuckled. "That boy is the one who killed my nephew, not me." He stated sternly.

Emily walked forward with a firm expression. "Are you sure Mr. Tyler? I don't think, he capable of doing that."

Anthony gestured Emily to took a step backward and shot her 'Let me handle this' look. Emily got the signal and took a step backward.

"Where were you the night Adam was killed?" Anthony asked.

He tilted his head and gritted his teeth in a creepy way before staring intensely to the policeman in front of him. "Home" He stated firmly.

"Why were you in Harrisburg that night? Maybe, you are not happy with their relationship, so you decided to separate them apart?" He interrogated.

"Don't be so ridiculous detective, I love my nephew. I love them" He exclaimed.

"And can you explain; why are you attempt to murder James Trebles?" He asked, this time more angered than before.

"That boy killed my nephew! I told you that!" He yelled.

Anthony began to lose his patience and he slammed down his hand on the table. Emily was shocked at the detective expression and began to steady herself. "You better explain why you have that theory or maybe officer Fields will drag your ass to your cell as fast as I said cheese." He said firmly.

George looked straight to the two police in that room and sighed heavily before he spoke. "Two days before my nephew got murdered, he came home with face full of bruises; he said he got into fight with James. They got into a fight because of something, Adam never told me about that." He explained, the two police listen carefully.

"Until the day of the murder, my nephew said to me that he will go to see James and explained to him about that stuff. I let him go, until the next day; I got two cops come into my house and told me that my nephew is dead. How do you feel about that, detective?" He stated sternly. Emily did notice the painful on his voice.

Before Anthony could say anything, George spoke again. "That's when I figured out that my nephew was with that bastard that night. I even followed him to the nasty gay bar on the corner of this city and when I got there, the neighbor told me that he left for Harrisburg. I followed him and then I demanded an explanation from him and I got a spit on my face. That's when I lost my patience. Do you think carefully when you know that the one you're loved dead? You even saw their corpse, with a neck slashed and a fresh blood still running through their neck. How is it not painful, detective?" He asked, a few tears began to pour down from his eyes.

Anthony began to calm down as he grabbed his files and stared at George intensely before he left the room with Emily following behind.

"I'm going to hospital; I will cross check the alibi with James. You stay here, write down everything you remember and cross check all of them, got it?" The detective said once they are outside the interrogation room.

Emily nodded firmly. "Oh, just one more thing. Just let him stay there." He said before ran outside.

Emily sighed heavily, and walked back to her messy desk. She put all of the files and swamped herself on her comfy chair.

Spencer just cleaned up her watery eyes in the intern room with her handkerchief while suddenly her phone buzzed on her pocket. Spencer abruptly hit the answer button without looking at the caller ID. Even though her voices were shaking, she managed to speak up to the caller. "Hello?"

"Spencer? Why are you crying?" Emily's voice surprised her in the other line.

"Uh, Em? I'm fine…" Spencer lied.

Emily furrowed her eyebrows. "Well, you're a terrible liar. I can hear you sniffling through this phone. Is this have to do with your resident?" Emily pointed out.

Spencer sniffled before steadying her voice. "You could say that…" She said, forcing a chuckle.

"Spencer, please… Is this have to do with your resident?" Emily asked worriedly.

"Well, she kicked me out of her services. Now, I'm on the list for another mentor who may will to take me or you could say that I'm an ER servant and they don't allow me in the OR, fantastic right?" Spencer said hoarsely.

"What? Why they didn't allow you in the OR?"

"No mentor, No OR." Spencer said, copying her supervisor words earlier, still sniffling.

Emily could feel her anger starting to build inside her as she spoke "Do you want me to talk to her? That's not fair!"

"It's fine Em. I'm still on the waiting list. At least I got to spend my time more with patient and less to paperwork, right?" Spencer said, forcing out a chuckle.

"Spence…" Emily sighed. "Is there any chance that you just skip this stupid internship? Or maybe you can move with me here? I hear the internship program here is much better than there." She suggested.

"I wish… but thanks for worrying about me…" Spencer said, sincerely.

"Don't mention it. It's my job as your-" Emily was about to say girlfriend but she remembered that her and Spencer never said anything about it. "Best friend." Emily said, half forcing the word out of her mouth.

Spencer smiled instantly. "Thanks Em, really… You cheered me up"

"Well, I don't like it when you're crying. The last time I saw you crying was when you lost at the Physics contest back when we were on high school and I spent my time at your house 3 days just to assure you that it will passed but we ended up going to an ice cream parlor and you bought like 3 bowl of chocolate ice cream to sober you up." Emily laughed uproariously.

"Hey! You took a part from finishing off my ice cream!" Spencer chuckled.

"Yeah, my mom got so mad when she found out about it."

"She wouldn't if you brushed your teeth and maybe you wouldn't have that teeth problem that made you curl up to your bed all day."

"Don't blame me, Spence. You should have taken Hanna; she wouldn't have a problem with her teeth." Emily said nonchalantly.

"Well, you were the only one who stayed at my house!" Spencer exclaimed. "By the way, about this lunch on Sunday, can you still make it?" Spencer asked suddenly.

Emily shifted her position on her chair before spoke up. "Maybe I can, maybe I can't." Emily said apologetically.

"Why?"

"It's still on 3 days and I need to finish the case that been kicking my ass and the super creepy detective get angry and now I'm working late which is why I decided to call you…." Emily stopped before she almost told Spencer about the bruise on her face.

"Well, I hope you still can make it. I'll take a train to Philly and maybe swing by to Rosewood"

"You'll take a train? How about let me pick you up? I think there is some documents that I need to get on Harrisburg local PD, I'll go on Sunday morning and after that, I can pick you up."

"No need to get me Em. You have a lot work to do." Spencer refused softly.

"Nope, we still can swing by at Rosewood afterwards. Please say yes? Please?" Emily pleaded.

Spencer put on her thinking face before jumped in excitement silently. "Yup, you can pick me up."

"Yeay!" Emily exclaimed happily.

Spencer chuckled from the excitement of the raven haired girl. "Alright Fields, better get back to your job, I don't want to bother you right now. You just got back from here, y' know?"

"Well, I thought that maybe calling you will make me feel good but apparently it didn't." Emily said flatly.

Spencer scrunched her eyebrows. "It didn't?" Spencer suddenly felt an anxiety bugging out of her body.

Emily bit back a laugh before she decided to spoke. "It made me way better." Emily said innocently, getting a gasp from Spencer. "What's wrong with my words that made you gasp like that?"

"No, it's nothing. Anyway, thanks for calling, you really made me feel better too, Em." Spencer said sincerely.

Emily smiled at the compliment "Okay then... I'll see you at Sunday"

"Yup, definitely come." Spencer said confidently.

"Okay, um...Spence?" Emily said nervously.

"Yup?"

Emily was about to say those 3 magic words but stopped herself from doing so, she remembered that they weren't dating and they'll figured things out how will they work. Instead she forced a smile and whispered a casual greeting against her own heart. "Good night."

Spencer formed a small smile before returned the greeting. "Good night, Em"
