Without hesitation, Emily lifted Spencer from her couch and grabbed her by her hips and carried her to her bed without breaking the kiss. "Aww, you don't need to be violence with me." Emily raised her hands in a mock surrender. "I'm just going to buy an ice pack for my cheek and a dinner."
Spencer sighed. "How long did we sleep?"
"I don't know but I'm glad that we sleep for long because you are so comfortable to cuddle with." Emily winked.
Spencer smirked before playfully smacked Emily's shoulder again. "So, am I your cuddle buddy now?"
"Maybe, well, you better put some clothes on. This night is pretty chilly, I'll warm up dinner then we can talk, okay?" Emily said while get up and pointing the clothes on the edge of the bed with her head.
"Yeah, thanks." Spencer smiled.
Emily bent down and pecked Spencer on her lips much to the other girl surprise but she decided to just play along with it. Spencer smiled as she watched Emily went to her kitchen and warm up their pizza. She grabbed the clothes that Emily left for her and quickly put it on. As she was about to get up from Emily's bed, her phone buzzed. She remembered putting it on her pants pocket but her pants has been thrown somewhere else.
"Em, did you see my phone?" Spencer shouted.
"Below my bed I think." Emily shouted back from the kitchen.
Spencer quickly looked under Emily's bed and found her pants crumpled up against her other clothes. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed her phone and saw the caller as Jack, her former intern back in Harrisburg.
"Hello, what's up Jack?"
"Hey, um….I'm just going to update you that the intern under Dr. Jameson care will be released 3 days from now and your vacation had been extended until that day, so just make sure you come back here a day before, alright?"
Spencer smiled. "Are you sure he really wants me?"
"Yup, he still needs 3 interns to work with him until he gets his promotion to fellowship so….that's it" Jack stated.
"Thanks for the update Jack. I'll meet you on Wednesday." Spencer said before hang up the call and putting her phone on Emily's nightstand.
Spencer quickly tidy up Emily's oversized white T-shirt and a pair of blue shorts that she wore. After that, she walked to the kitchen and found Emily still warming up the dinner.
"Smells good, what are you making?" Spencer asked while sitting on one of the chair.
"I just warming up mushroom soup from last night and the pizza that I bought, I know it's not really fit your appetite but I hope it will be enough for your stomach." Emily winked.
Spencer smiled. "Thanks Em."
"You are welcome." Emily smiled widely to Spencer before get back on her cooking.
10 minutes later, Emily already sets up dinner on the table and invited Spencer to join her. Spencer quickly grabbed a chunk of pizza and brought it to her mouth quickly. Emily widened her eyes and then chuckled.
"Spence, you are going to make your mouth burn if you stuffed all of the pizza on your mouth at once." Emily chuckled.
Spencer still chewed the food in her mouth while winked at Emily. "I...don't care…..I'm hungry."
Emily laughed uproariously. "Something really never changed." Emily said while taking a bite from her pizza. "So, who was calling earlier?"
"Oh, it was Jack, my fellow intern. He just wanted to tell me that I will back at work on Wednesday with a new resident." Spencer exclaimed happily.
"That's great! Told you, you are a bad ass there Spence. It would be easy for you to find a new resident."
"I just hope that after the end of this semester I already got the assignment for residency. So, I just need at least 2 residents or 1 attending to work with instead of 3 and 2." Spencer said while taking another bite from her pizza.
"You are going to get it Spence, just keep up your hard work. I'm sure that you will be a badass doctor I ever met."
"It's like you ever went to doctor." Spencer chuckled.
"Well, only a few times if it necessary but I would consider you as my personal doctor and call you every time I coughing." Emily winked at Spencer from across the table.
"I will shut down my phone then." Spencer shrugged and continued eating.
"You are cruel." Emily playfully scoffed.
Spencer smiled and took her mushroom soup from Emily before glanced at the police. "Wanna talk about what happen this afternoon?"
Emily constantly choked on her food and coughing hardly causing Spencer to jump off from her seat and rushed to the police's side. Emily quickly took a sip of water while Spencer rubbed her neck gently.
"I'm guessing you don't." Spencer said slowly.
Emily shook her head slowly and took another sip of water before looking up at Spencer. "Nope, it's not that. I just surprised that you bring that up tonight."
Spencer knelt down beside Emily and stroked her hair slowly while stared at Emily intensely. "So….After that happened, what did it make us?"
Emily tilted her head in a typical Fields move when they confused and then she sighed before lean in and captured Spencer lips in a chaste kiss. After they kissed a while, Emily pulled back a little and rested her foreheads together, the tip of their nose touched and they breathed from each other warm breath. "What do you think?" Emily asked in a flirty tone.
"You fish me out now?" Spencer teased.
"Maybe yes, maybe not, what do you think?" Emily teased back.
Spencer sighed before finally smiled. "Fine…..So, uh…Did I have to make it formal?"
"It's up to you."
Spencer exhaled a deep breath before finally stared straight to Emily's brown eyes. "Okay, um….Emily Fields, are you willing to be…uh…"
"To be what?" Emily smirked.
"Be my girlfriend?" Spencer mumbled.
Emily smiled and cupped Spencer's cheeks with her hands before nodded happily. "I would love to and by the way, it's way too formal." She chuckled.
Spencer laughed along before lean in and captured Emily's lips again in a passionate kiss. Emily wrapped her arms around Spencer's waist while Spencer wrapped her arms around Emily's neck. Emily pulled Spencer up and sat her down on her thighs before they drowned in a heated make out session once again.
Spencer opened her eyes when a strike of sunrise hit her face and the snore of the person beside her woke her up even more. "Good morning sleepyhead. I'm hungry." Spencer stated, straight to the point.
"Already?"
Spencer nodded. "My energy from dinner already being given up to you last night, so I'm not sure if there are any more left in there."
Emily smirked. "Oh? Okay then, I'll make breakfast." Emily smiled and pecked on Spencer's lips before grabbed her jacket and shorts to cover her naked body and walked away to the kitchen.
Spencer pulled her sheets up to her chest and grumbled softly about her stomach. Suddenly, a sound of buzzed phone echoed throughout her pillow, she roughly pulled it out and noticed that it was Emily's phone. Spencer noticed that it is from Emily's mother. She quickly opened the text message and read it softly.
Emily, when do you swing by to Rosewood? I miss you Honey, and I have good news for you, your father is coming home tomorrow. He really wants to see you, please call me as soon you read this message, I love you.
Spencer smiled before decided to move her ass from the bed and approached her girlfriend in the kitchen, she quickly grabbed her previous clothes and walked quickly to the kitchen.
"Em?" Spencer called.
"Yeah?" Emily slightly turned from the stove and glanced at Spencer.
"Your mom sent you a message, I'm sorry if this inappropriate but the text message signed as a quick one so I decided to read it."
Emily scrunched her eyebrows. "What is it?"
"Your mom told you that your father is coming home tomorrow and he wants to see you." Spencer stated.
Emily widened her eyes. "He is?" Emily asked while she snatched the phone from Spencer's hand.
Spencer nodded. Emily quickly looked at her phone and read the text message. She smiled happily and then turned to Spencer who smiled as well too. "Hey, would you mind to continue? I'm making pancakes. I just want to call my mom."
"Yeah sure, take your time." Spencer smiled and walked to the burning stove while Emily dialed her mother's number and walked to an open signal area on the apartment.
After 3 rings, Emily's mom finally picked up. "Hi Emily, how are you?"
"Hi! I'm fine, mom. How is everything back home?"
"It's fine honey. You got my message, right?"
"Yeah, dad is coming back tomorrow right?"
"Yeah, he really wants to meet you for dinner, can you come?" Emily's mom pleaded.
"Is it okay if I bring a company?" Emily asked, slightly glanced at Spencer.
"What kind of company?" Emily's mom wondered, slightly teasing.
"Um, I mean that I would bring Spencer, if that's okay with you of course."
"Of course, honey! Bring her in, I love to catch up with her. I guess I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Yeah mom, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye honey."
"Bye mom."
Emily throws her phone to her couch before walked back to the kitchen and found Spencer already setting up plates on the dining table and plastered a sexy smile of her own when she spotted her girlfriend approaching her.
"Hey, hmm….They are smells good, Spence." Emily said while she sat down on her chair.
"Thanks Em." Spencer sat down at her chair and quickly grabbed her pancakes and stuffed it on her mouth then she looked up and caught Emily stared at her and raised one of her eyebrows. "What?"
"Nothing, it's just…uh….if you keep eating like that for tomorrow night, maybe more eyes will be staring at you, Spence." Emily said hesitantly.
"What's up with tomorrow night?" Spencer asked nonchalantly while grabbing another pancakes.
"My mom wants me for dinner and she told me to bring you as well." Emily stated.
Spencer immediately stopped eating and stared at her girlfriend intensely. "Are you serious right now?"
Emily nodded. "Yes, please don't be freak out, plus you can't bail. You know what my mom likes. You need a proper excuse if you want to bail."
Spencer sighed. "Okay, I'll try to behave." Spencer rolled her eyes and starting to eat like a normal person and slowing down her movement to eat the pancakes. "There."
Emily laughed. "You're cute, you know that?"
"Nope, you are annoying, you know?" Spencer glared.
"Come on, Spence. You know that I'm too innocent, right?" She winked.
Spencer rolled her eyes. "Yeah, up to you…..Just finish this breakfast and you will make it up to me by watching movie and cuddle with me until evening, got it?"
Emily laughed again. "Okay, I can work with that." She winked and they both continued to eating their breakfast together.
