"You ready Spence?" Emily asked once they were settled in Emily's black SUV.

"I think I am." Spencer said while zipping up her blue jacket.

"Okay then, let's go." Emily turned her engine on and began driving to Rosewood that evening.

Spencer busily skimmed through her phone and scrunched her eyebrows while Emily glanced at her occasionally. "Something bother you?"

Spencer glanced at her girlfriend and then back to her phone. "No, I'm just checking my ER charts. Apparently there are few patients that weren't mine being submitted in here."

Emily pursed her lips. "Well, who was in charge of the ER beside you? Maybe you could ask them if they are their patients."

"There are only 2 people in charge. Me and One of my fellow interns, I checked with him a while ago and he said that it wasn't him either." Spencer shrugged.

"Well, that's weird. When the last time they come?"

Spencer searched her phone once again before answered. "The day that I left town but all of them are discharged before I went home but I can only remember that I treated 4 patients and in my charts there are 7 patients."

Emily made a turn to an Intersection before slightly glanced at Spencer. "At least they are all discharged, right? What are you so worrying about?"

"It's just….. Someone had been kindly enough to submitted 3 more patients to my charts. I just want to know who did that."

Emily smiled a little. "Maybe you have an admirer." She teased.

Spencer raised her eyebrow. "Who could possible by my admirer if I just had been kicked out from residency on my third day?"

"Just forget about it, okay? Don't be too stressed out, you work hard enough that maybe it drew attention from your fellows. Now, just enjoy our trip and you can get to meet your family in less than 20 minutes." Emily said excitedly.

Spencer chuckled. "Alright, by the way, did your mom text you about your dad?"

"Oh, yes, she did. She told me that he made home just an hour ago. I can't wait to meet him." Emily squealed.

Spencer smiled at Emily's excitement. She noticed that the faded bruise on Emily's cheek can be easily spotted once Emily smiled. Spencer carefully caressed Emily's cheek with her thumb.

Emily shuddered a little at Spencer's touch. "I bet you want to ask me how it is." Emily said quickly.

"You read my mind." Spencer chuckled. "How is it?"

"It's gotten better, the Ice pack definitely did a lot of work but the color still stained on my cheek though, but can I use you ask my excuse? I don't want my mom to see me bruised." Emily asked Spencer, although her tone was slightly teasing.

Spencer frowned. "Use me as an excuse? Do you want to tell your mom that I had slap you so you don't have to say it's because of the job? If you do, you're an extremely terrible girlfriend." Spencer pouted.

"Well, I was going to say it's a hickey." Emily said nonchalantly

Spencer widened her eyes and slapped Emily's shoulder playfully. "Jerk."

Emily chuckled. "Relax. I may get a lecture tonight, but actually it's kinda hard covering this bruise when you don't have makeup."

"Are you serious? You don't have any makeup on your apartment?" Spencer said, surprised.

"No." Emily stated. "Why applying make-up if your duty is on the street and chasing bad guys? I bet the make-up will look gross once it faded."

Spencer chuckled. "At least try to put on some while you are not on duty. Well, you are beautiful the way you are though." Spencer winked.

Emily blushed and shook her head slowly. "Way too good with words, Spence"

"Funny." Spencer sneered.

Emily chuckled as she continued driving towards the street.

20 minutes later, the police and the doctor found themselves on the Hastings' driveway. Both of Spencer parents' car were there and Spencer nervously gulped before Emily turned off her car and get out from her car. Spencer composed herself before get out from the car and walked together with Emily beside her to her house.

Spencer walked to her side door and knocked it gently and getting no response. She peeked through the window and saw that no one was inside the house.

"Well, their cars were out there but no sign of living." Spencer mumbled.

Emily patted Spencer's shoulder. "Maybe they are here somewhere. Let's check out the bar." Emily pulled Spencer gently as the made their towards Spencer's barn.

As they approached the barn, Peter Hastings in her gray t-shirt and black pants walked out from the guesthouse carrying a half sack of cement on both of his hands.

"Dad!" Spencer shouted.

The man Hastings quickly looked up and saw his daughter walked up to him with a huge smile plastered on her face. He quickly put the cement down and jogged toward his daughter and pulled her on tight embrace.

"Spencer!" He said once he pulled away from his daughter. "I can't remember the last time I saw you…. You look great, kiddo!"

Spencer smiled. "Well, I've been pretty good dad. So sorry that I can't start my internship here, I'm late to drop off the application." Spencer said while her left leg playing with the sands on the ground.

Peter shook his head and patted Spencer's shoulder. "Don't worry about it kiddo. You did a great job when you are graduating. It doesn't matter where do you work, you've got your life."

Peter then turned his attention to the raven haired police besides his daughter and smiled softly. "Well, Emily. How are you doing?"

Emily smiled softly. "I'm doing great Mr. Hastings."

"How is the job at Philadelphia? Are you enjoying working as a police?"

"It's been great actually. I just need to solve couple of cases than I'm on my way to next promotion."

"Well, that's great!" Peter exclaimed. He then turned his attention back to Spencer. "Well, it's not like that I don't want to see you, but what brings you here, Spencer?"

"Emily's mom invited me to dinner and I figured that I came by here for a while and maybe spent the night?" Spencer asked.

"Of course you can stay! You don't have to ask." Peter exclaimed. "You maybe want to stay at the barn though. Your room is getting redone."

"Redone? Why is it needed to be redone?" Spencer raised one of her eyebrow.

"You know me kid, I'm just not used to get an old room being rusted." He chuckled.

Spencer and Emily both chuckled. "Well, do you need help with that sack, dad?" Spencer said, pointing to the heavy sack that laying on the ground.

Peter shook his head. "Nope, I can carry it myself. Your mom wants to meet you maybe. She is in the barn." The man Hastings pointing to the entrance and smiled to his daughter.

"Well, okay. I'll see you later, dad." Spencer said before she and Emily walked towards the barn.

When they walked inside, the woman Hastings still busily preoccupied with her laptop on the island of the kitchen, she clearly didn't notice that her youngest daughter walked quietly behind her and lightly tapped her on the shoulder.

"If you are looking for help with the sack, I'm not clearly the right person, Pete." The woman Hastings answered nonchalantly.

Spencer glanced at Emily who shrugged before spoke up. "The only thing I'm looking for is you mom." Spencer said while the woman Hastings quickly turned around in surprise.

"Spencer!" She exclaimed and moved to hug her daughter.

Spencer grinned and hugged her mother back. "It's good to see you mom."

Veronica Hastings broke the hug and stared at Spencer intently. "What brought you here? I thought that you will come back later after Thanksgiving break."

Spencer chuckled. "Dad pretty much said the same." Spencer glanced at Emily before turned back to speak to her mother. "Emily's mom invited me to dinner at their house today. So, I'm staying here until tomorrow."

"Oh, Emily! It's nice to see you sweetheart!" The woman Hastings quickly approached Emily and hugged her as well.

"Thanks, Mrs. Hastings." Emily smiled. "Nice to see you too."

"Well, mom, would you mind if I stay here for a night? Emily obviously didn't need to drive for a whole night to get back to Philly after dinner."

"Of course you are welcome here! Don't be silly."

Spencer smiled. "Good to know. Well, do you mind if we both hang out for a while here? Well, at least until dinner."

"No, not at all, suit yourself girls. I think I'll be working in the house instead." The woman Hastings said as she gathered her things and began to walk out from the barn.

Spencer frowned. "You don't have to do that mom. I'm fine you're here."

"I think you both need some privacy and maybe I should check with your father too. I don't know what will happen if we decorate you room himself." She chuckled.

Spencer slightly blushed. "Umm, okay."

"Bye girls. I'll see you soon." She waved before walking out of the barn.

Spencer turned to Emily while her face still slightly red from embarrassment. Emily chuckled and shook her head.

"Your mom still can read minds, isn't she?" Emily grinned.

Spencer scrunched her eyebrows. "I don't know what you are talking about."

Emily continue chuckle while taking a step forward to Spencer. "Lawyers Spence, they know how to read minds, as far as I knew. Well more likely someone's expression. They clearly know what someone really wanted."

"Well, my mom just said that we need some privacy and as far as I knew…" Spencer draped her hands around Emily's neck. "I never expressed that we need some privacy." Spencer said while stared ahead and smirked to Emily.

Emily put her hands on Spencer's waist while her lips drifted through Spencer's ear. "There are only 2 people in this room that she can read and if it's not you then she was reading my expression, right?" She whispered, sending shiver down Spencer's spine.

Emily pulled back to face to face with Spencer who had their eyes closed. Spencer opened her eyes and smirked. "Correct. I'm assuming you wanted privacy for a reason, right?"

"Correct." Emily closed the distance between them until they are apart only a few inches. "You want me to tell you the reason or maybe you like me to showing it instead?"

Spencer tightened her grip around Emily's neck and smirked seductively. "Show it instead." She mumbled.

Emily smiled before she leaned forward and captured Spencer's lips gently. Her hands jerked under Spencer's jacket and she slipped it until she touches Spencer's bare back. Spencer moaned softly while Emily bit her bottom lip and brushed their lips together. Spencer poked out her tongue and slipped it slowly to Emily's mouth while her hands draped tightly to the police's nape. Spencer slowly guided Emily to the nearby biggest couch on the barn, never breaking the kiss.

Emily tilted her head slightly and dominated the kiss as it become heated and heated every second. Spencer lay back down against the armrest on the couch and pulled Emily on top of her as they began to kiss more passionate than before.

Emily found herself laying half on top of Spencer on the couch. She blinked her eyes a few times, trying to rub off the sleepiness on her eyes. She could feel her lips slightly swollen from what she was doing with Spencer earlier. She glanced down at the sleeping brunette below her that still snore softly against her neck. She smiled and bent down to kiss her forehead slowly before she searched the clock which hanging on the wall just a few feet from her. Her gaze fixed at the needle that won't stop moving and her eyes snapped open at sudden realize that it is already 6:30.

"Spencer, wake up!" Emily shakes her girlfriend body hard.

Spencer mumbled something that Emily couldn't quite understand before drifted back to sleep. Emily shook her head as she groaned and try to shakes her girlfriend again. "Spencer, wake up! It's 30 minutes before we have to go to my house." Emily said right next to Spencer's ear.

Spencer's eyes immediately snapped open and she jerked away from Emily only have to fallen from the couch. Emily laughed at the sight of Spencer rubbed her ass slowly and she get back on her feet scowled at her.

"Sorry Spence, I don't mean to make you surprised." Emily said while she slipped her hand on Spencer's waist.

"It's okay. I think it's my fault either that we fell asleep." Spencer said as she walked to the kitchen island and sat down at the stool.

"We did what we need to do, but anyway can I shower here? You know my mom if I show up at my home looking all sweaty."

"Sure, but don't tell her yet who made you all sweaty like that." Spencer smirked.

"Well, I can't promise you that she won't kill you. Well, maybe my dad wants to defend you." Emily chuckled.

"Funny." Spencer scoffed. "Just go take your shower and then we can go."

"You aren't going to take one?" Emily raised her eyebrow.

"Of course I do. I better take it in the house instead. So, we will be done at the same time."

"Maybe you want to shower together?" Emily offered, a little smirk appeared on her face.

Spencer rolled her eyes. "Not a good idea. Besides, your mom wants us 7 o'clock sharp."

Emily chuckled. "I guess you right."

"Okay, come on Officer Fields! Times to get you showered!" Spencer commanded.

Emily winked and saluted Spencer. "Ay Ay, Captain Spencer!"

With that Emily disappeared to the bathroom and Spencer who still chuckled at Emily's behavior slowly dragged her feet out of the barn and walked to her house.

20 minutes later, they found themselves pulling up in front of the Fields' driveway. Spencer absently playing with her fingers while Emily herself nervously biting her fingertip.

Spencer glanced at Emily and put her palm on the police's shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. "Are you nervous too?"

"A little, my father is here and so does my new host-sister which I only met once."

Spencer squeezed Emily's shoulder lightly. "Don't worry about it."

"Well, aren't you nervous about meeting my mom? She knows about me and you." Emily raised her eyebrow.

"I wouldn't say no but I'm trying to get over it. So, are we here to eat or just sitting at your car?" Spencer teased, trying to lighten up.

Emily chuckled. "Number 1 rule for bringing Spencer. Never forget the food."

Spencer rolled her eyes as she opened the door of Emily's car and then followed shortly by Emily.

They both made their way shortly through the Fields' door and then rang the doorbell. Less than 10 seconds, the door flew open and revealed a short blonde girl wearing a blue top with black pants and about Aria's height greet them with a warm smile on her face.

"Hi Emily!" She exclaimed cheerily.

Emily smiled back and so does Spencer. "Hello, Jade, right?"

"You got it, big sister." She winked playfully before stepped aside to let them in. "Come on in!"

"Where is mom?" Emily asked as she walked inside.

"She and Uncle Wayne decided to stop by for espresso after they went grocery shopping. They probably arrived here later." The blonde said, while closing the door. "Suit yourself big sister! I'm going to get you some drinks!" She exclaimed. "Do you want something?" She turned her attention to Spencer.

"Oh, no, thanks." Spencer smiled to the carefree blonde before she disappeared to the kitchen.

"I don't think she is that carefree the last time I came here." Emily chuckled.

"She called you big sister. How adorable is it?" Spencer laughed.

"She basically replacing 9-year-old me in this house, that's the time that I'm such a carefree like her."

The blonde quickly walked back to the living room with 2 glass of lemonade and handed it to Emily and Spencer. At the same time, the door flew open and revealing faces that Emily missed the most.

Emily quickly jumped off the couch and hugged her parents. "Mom! Dad!"

"Oh, Emmy, look how good you are!" Her dad commented, a wide grin on his face.

"You are more muscular than the last time I saw you, honey." Her mom squeezed her forearm.

"I'm keeping in shape for the police force. Thanks mom, dad for the compliment" Emily smiled.

The woman Fields' quickly fell her eyes on Spencer who stood smiling on the other side of the room. She walked slowly to her. "Hello, Spencer. It's so nice to see you again." She patted her shoulder and offered her a warm smile.

"Thank you Mrs. Fields. I'm glad that you invited me to this dinner." Spencer smiled.

"I'm sorry that I came late. We were just running to get an espresso for dinner."

"No problem at all."

The woman Fields quickly turned her attention to the blonde who was sitting on the couch. "Jade, could you please set up the table? Dinner will be ready shortly." She said softly.

"Be ready in 3 minutes Auntie!" She exclaimed before running to the kitchen.

"She always remained me of little you. Such a carefree girl and when I said a food name, she will start to imagine to eat it." Pam chuckled.

"Same goes with this girl." Emily nudged Spencer playfully and the other girl's cheek slowly reddened in embarrassment.

"Well, let's go then." Wayne offered and getting nod from Emily.

They both then made their way to the kitchen with a super cheerful girl smiling at them at the kitchen and setting up the table.

"How is the job at Philly, kiddo?" Wayne asked his daughter once they were settle at the table and began to eating their respective dinner.

"Well, I'm still on desk duty but as soon as this case over, maybe I'll be at new position at the homicide department." Emily explained.

"Homicide?" Pam widened her eyes in surprise. "I thought you want to be in internal affairs?"

"There is a possibility but I've been working on several cases and I think the case that took my interest is a homicide which that I'm currently dealing with right now."

"Are you sure Emmy? That's a tough department." Wayne asked his daughter worriedly.

"Positive. I have some time to think about it though. So, don't worry too much about it." Emily shrugged.

"Okay." Wayne nodded and then he turned his attention to Spencer. "How about you Spencer? How is the job at Harrisburg?"

Spencer pursed her lips before she spoke. "Well, it's not too good. I'm in charge of the ER for almost a week and I will be getting a new resident next Wednesday and I hope this one is not as tough as the last one."

"What happened?" Pam asked.

"It's kind of that I confronted her about how she works and she ended my service with her and I'm stuck at ER but the good things that many patients knew me and some of them requesting me for their doctor." Spencer smiled while taking a bite from her food.

"At least you're making connection with the patients. That's one important thing." Wayne said and nodded. "So, how long are you going to stay here?" He asked his daughter.

"Probably until Monday, I have off duties and I need to take Spencer to train station afterwards."

"Hmm, where are you staying right now?" He glanced at the girls.

"Spencer's parents let us staying at their barn for a while." Emily said slowly.

"Please thank your parents for us Spencer. I don't know that if Emily can stay at her old room which is currently occupied by this girl." Pam said and patted Jade's back.

Spencer smiled. "Don't worry about it but I'll let them know."

"How is Hollis for you Jade?" Emily asked to her host-sister.

"Its fine, my grades were great and Auntie Pam really made sure that I weren't late for going to my classes." Jade smiled warmly.

Emily chuckled. "Mom, are you going to replace me?"

"Don't blame me for missing you, Emily. Besides, Jade only 3 years younger than you and on her age you are already gone for academy."

Emily rolled her eyes. "Fine, I don't mind for having a cute sister to take care of my mom." Emily teased.

Spencer and Wayne chuckled at Emily and Pam's conversation.

"Where are you from actually Jade?" Spencer asked.

The blonde glanced at the doctor before pursing her lips. "I'm from Austria."

"Oh, do you have any siblings?"

"I have 1 older brother, 3 younger sisters and 1 younger brother. They are all at Austria now." Jade answered simply.

Spencer curiously interested in her girlfriend's host sister and kept asking. "Well, what brings you here?"

"Literature and Art." She said shortly. "My grades were pretty high in high school, so several local colleges come and offered me a full ride scholarship but there is a phone call from Hollis that told me that someone has submit me to their website and then the next thing I know that my parents bought me a ticket here and then I'm assigned to be in this house."

"Wow, do you know who submit your score to Hollis?"

"I'm pretty sure it's my older brother. He likes my drawing and he knows what I'm doing. So, I'm pretty sure that he is."

"I hope you enjoy your time here." Emily added and smiled to the girl.

"Of course I enjoy it! This is remained me a lot of my family. We used to eat together at breakfast and dinner. So, yeah, it kinda heals some memory."

Emily smiled warmly to the blonde girl and continued to eat her food.

Once they finished their meal, Pam and Jade disappeared to wash the dishes while Emily, Spencer and Wayne resting in the living room and watching the movie that currently playing.

"It's been awhile since I watch The Possession, I forgot the DVD at the base." Wayne said while focusing his attention to the television.

"I remember you used to like it when I was still in high school and every time you come home, either you make me watch cheesy comedic or this one." Emily chuckled.

"Well, that's true." Wayne Laughed. "So, Spencer, do you have any plan to start residency at Rosewood? I heard your mom pretty wants you to back home."

"I'm considering it, but for now I'm just focusing on finishing my internship for the next year." Spencer answered.

"Hmm." Wayne mumbled while rubbing his chin. "Did you visit Emmy often?" He asked suddenly, catching Spencer off guard.

"Well umm, not until recently." She said nervously.

He smiled to Spencer and to Emily. "I know the news, Spencer. I just hope that you won't be separated for an hour driving to my Emmy here."

Emily elbowed her father playfully. "Dad!" She glared.

"I'm just saying, Emmy." He laughed.

Emily rolled her eyes while Spencer chuckled and secretly gripped Emily's hip. A minute later, Pam and Jade joined in the living room.

"What are you guys watching?" Pam asked.

"The Possession." Emily shrugged.

Pam rolled her eyes at her husband. "Seriously? We've been watching it every time you come home since Emily was in high school."

"I can't help it." He laughed.

"Well, Uncle Wayne, I can see why you like this movie. It's fascinating." The blonde moved closer to the couch.

"See? Even this little one agrees with me." He patted Jade's shoulder.

The 2 woman Fields rolled their eyes while Spencer, Wayne and Jade laughed. Pam finally gave up and joined the rest of them for the movie night.

"It's getting late, I should drive Spencer home." Emily said as she and Spencer got up from the couch.

"Well, then. You will still be here for tomorrow, right?" Pam asked her daughter.

"Yes, of course. Don't worry mom." She smiled to her mother.

"Okay then girls. See you tomorrow." Wayne waved to the girls.

"Bye mom, dad, Jade."

"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Fields, Bye Jade. Thanks for dinner." Spencer waved back.

"Be safe!" The blonde exclaimed.

The two girls made their way out from the house and back to Emily's SUV and drove away from the Fields' house. 5 minutes later, they found themselves in the Hastings' barn with Spencer collapsed on the couch and close her eyes quickly.

"Tired?" Emily teased.

"Sssh, I'm sleeping." Spencer said while grabbing a pillow to cover her face.

Emily rolled her eyes and took the pillow away from Spencer slowly. "Hey, your bedroom just across this room, c'mon!"

Spencer mumbled something slowly before got up from the couch and walked to the bedroom half-sleepy with Emily who shook her head and smirked following behind.

Once they were on the bedroom, Emily and Spencer changed from their current clothes to a t-shirt and shorts and thrown themselves to the bed as soon as they finished getting dressed.

"Well, I don't know it will be this exhausting." Emily mumbled.

"I don't know about it either." Spencer said while closing her eyes slowly.

"What do you want to do tomorrow?" Emily glanced at Spencer.

"Probably help my dad. You should spend some time with your dad too, you know?"

"Yeah, that probably could work." Emily yawned. "Let's go to sleep instead." Emily said while wrapped her arms around Spencer midsection.

Spencer responded by wrapped her arms around Emily and closed her eyes too before they both drifting to sleep.
